If you thought atheism and secularism were evil...

The past 150 years has been dominated by secular/atheistic/naturalistic thought and we have seen quite clearly the evil it has brought (communism, Nazism, eugenics, abortion, and so forth).

But an ancient evil is resurfacing that is far more sinister. It is the rise of Islam in the East and the rise of, quite unexpectedly, ancient Paganism (mixed with New Age beliefs) in the West:

It has even inundated Christianity itself. The worldwide head of the Anglican Church (Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams) was literally incepted as a "White Druid". Add to that the New Age/universalist influences of Brian Mclaren, Rob Bell, Oprah Winfrey, and even the Holy See, and you can see that Christians have very little Christ-aligned leadership left.

...Ok... so the question is: WHY is the rise of Islamic/New Age/Pagan religion WORSE than atheism?

The answer is pretty simple: there are good spiritual forces and there are evil spiritual forces. Atheism merely rejects the good... and notice how much death and destruction atheism has wrought. But these evil religions we see rising and resurfacing are not ONLY rejecting the good, but actually directly submitting to the evil forces that are lurking behind the scenes.

Whereas the idols of these religions are themselves just wood and stone, the forces behind them are real spiritual beings:

"No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons." - 1 Corinthians 10:20

"They sacrificed to demons, which are not God--gods they had not known, gods that recently appeared, gods your fathers did not fear." - Deuteronomy 32:17

Notice that this point is enforced by what we see happening to mankind right before Jesus returns:

"The rest of mankind that were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood--idols that cannot see or hear or walk." - Revelation 9:20

Does anyone really think that Allah and the various gods and goddesses of the pagan religions are just non-existent entities? Far from it. They are demons. And the plans that Satan and his demons have for this world are far more sinister than anything Hitler could dream of. Hitler managed to kill over 30 million, but in Revelation we see that the forces of evil manage to slaughter a far higher number... in the billions... as they ravage, mutilate, and repress the planet... before the Son of the Most High God returns and kicks their a**.

A tornado approximately one-mile wide touched down in Arkansas and obliterated everything in site. Three U.S. cities are gone. Last night at least a dozen more people were killed across the South and South-central regions of the country and the death toll from Joplin's epic twister has now reached 124.

This history-breaking tornado season touched close to home last night as two cells and one supercell formed over the Metroplex. My girlfriend and I saw a tornado forming almost directly over our heads (luckily the wind pushed it off). Sirens were blaring for over an hour and lots of people were hunkering down at the Ballpark in Arlington. A taste of things to come?

The 66th session of the United Nations' General Assembly

This September's General Assembly session is looking to be (possibly) the most prophetic in the United Nations' entire existence for two reasons:

1.) Actual structural reform is proposed that would provide India and possibly the EU with permanent seats on the Security Council (what if we ended up with a 10-permanent member Security Council?). This September may see the UN rising as a legitimate global government.

2.) The UN will be voting on a revolutionary resolution that will very likely divide the land of Israel, by recognizing Palestine as a sovereign and independent state.

Tornado of Biblical proportions just destroyed Joplin, Missouri

At least 89 people died in this single event as the tornado tore through the middle of town, leveling every school, business, church, and residential building in a 6 mile by half-mile area.

The tornado that struck Joplin was so powerful that debris from the city was found 70 miles away.

In this day, we watch for earthquakes and disasters. Floods in the midwest. Tornados in the south. Destruction in Tuscaloosa. Million acres burned in Texas. Drought. Food prices. Oil prices. Terrorism. UBL retaliation threat. Pollution. Eco disaster. Oil spill. Abortion. Slavery. And much more.

As I have indicated these tell me that God has left America to herself and she will fall.

Water = Heavy. Lots of water = Memphis. Memphis = Sitting on top of the New Madrid fault.

1 mile = 5280 feet = 63,360 inches / 6.136 = 10,326 gallons wide

One hundred mile stretch

Day Dreaming

We've had several posts lately about God's judgement of America.

The drought, floods, terrorism, hurricanes, earthquake, hailstorms, economic collapse, massive debt, unemployment, fire, devisiveness and moral decline certainly are an indication.

I am struck by how smug we are in the victory over Osama Bin Laden. His judgement has come.

Seems absurd since America's appears to be just around the corner.

This is the moment I wander off into the weeds.

Many are talking about war in the middle east. Israel's surrounded. We are only marginally backing them. Threats all around Syria, Lebanon, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Egypt, Libya, etc... All of this tells us God better act quick or His covenant with Israel will be broken and of course that is not happening.

Something has to get the U.S. completely out of the way. Israel's big brother needs to be offline.

The headlines in America continue to be stunning. Floods in the midwest and all the rest previously mentioned.

Given the headlines of the week with the death of OBL, makes me wonder about retaliation. Sleeper cells and all that.

The next trumpet judgement calls for destruction of 1/3rd of mankind.

If the nukes go off that could do it.

Does God rapture the church before? Big debate. Don't know, but if we are this close to global disaster something better give quick.

How do you explain the disappearance of millions. As I've said before UFO's Alien's and all that vodoo seems to fit the bill.

The explanation "we have damaged our planet and the little green men took some people out/off".

I continue to be amazed at how obvious the signs are and how few notice. Even with the disappearance people will go on about their day and never get the picture.

Date setting. I know - it never works. May 31st 2011 is the 2007th anniversary of the ascension of Christ (or close to it-using a 360 day Hebrew calendar). He ascended, maybe we'll have a June wedding ourselves.

Today we shout in the streets with joy over the demise of Osama Bin Laden--foolish really to celebrate the destruction of one person, when we are next in line.

I am certainly glad this threat has been removed, though the threat remains. Certainly not a time to lower your guard... quite the opposite.

As glad as I am over the news, it is hard to be excited. As evil as this man was, he was just a man, though a terribly evil and misguided one. Still I wouldn't wish hell on my worst enemy. One glimpse into the fire of the abyss, the smell and the sound of the screams, and you might feel the same.
