The Day That Wasn't

December 21st, 2012, cause of the biggest secular end-of-the-world hype OF ALL TIME, has come and the world hasn't ended.  Is this any surprise?

The answer is a big fat "NO".  The Mayans, Aztecs, Hopis, and Nostradamus, do NOT determine or prophesy ANYTHING FROM GOD.  Only God's OWN WORD accurately reveals to us the times and events of mankind's future history.

The Bible clearly says there will ALWAYS be an Earth.  If it is ever destroyed it will only be a temporary thing... destroyed and remade immediately after the 1000-year reign of Christ (see Revelation 20-22).

The end of the world will NEVER happen.  What will happen is the END OF THE AGE, when Yeshua the Messiah returns to end the reign of sin and establish His kingdom in the midst of fallen man for 1000 years.  After that final age, the earth and the heavens will be burned up and/or refined in fervent fire and a NEW HEAVEN AND NEW EARTH will be created, in which sin, evil, and death no longer exist and GOD ALONE REIGNS with His redeemed people.

Having said all this, today's non-event does fit several very important prophecies.  These are:

"While people are saying, 'Peace and safety,' destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape." - 1 Thessalonians 5:3

"They will say, 'Where is this 'coming' he promised?  Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation." - 2 Peter 3:4

Today's non-event will convince an unbelieving world that the end will never come.  They soon will be very, very surprised... especially as the end is coming very, very quickly.

Come quickly, LORD Jesus.  Maranatha.

  3. Tony, we really appreciate your input and comments! Always glad to see your name here (:

Ok... in regards to Theresa Talea... please RUN LIKE THE PLAGUE. Just from a cursory glance over her homepage "allthatisrevealed.com", there is one theological error after another. She is without a doubt a proponent of New Age beliefs, which is diametrically opposed to God, His Word, and His Son. Stay FAR AWAY.

Tony, I would seriously question your friend for recommending this book.

  4. Tony: Constance Cumbey's "Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow" is the best book and resource in regards to the likes of Theresa Talea.

You can read the whole book for free here:

  5. Sadly Harold Camping and the Mayan followers are successful in dulling the senses to the imminent judgment.

I do throw some theories around from time to time, but that's all they are and so far they're always wrong. God is certainly exceedingly patient 2 Peter 3:9.

Our goal is to show that we are in the last days, we should be urgent in our preparations through repentance and fulfilling the great commission, not sitting around waiting to go home.
