Special Prophecy Update From JD Farag

JD Farag from Calvary Chapel Kaneohe released a very important prophecy update yesterday where he addressed some growing divisions in the prophecy watching community.  He called Christians to obey the Scriptures in regards to loving one another and to remain focused on the mission of sharing the Gospel.  Brad from Revelation 12 Daily has some good thoughts on JD's update here.

JD also addressed the Revelation 12 Sign for the second time:

I've gotta tell ya, I'm finding it very difficult to dismiss it out of hand. This is a very interesting phenomena.

Please take a few minutes to watch:

  1. I gotta tell ya . . . Am glad someone brought up the lack of love and kindness that i see being displayed by Christians, even on this site. Seems like men's pride in these discoveries is taking over the love of Jesus. Even on this site i am seeing nasty comments going back and forth. How awful - and with so little time left. If we have "all knowledge and yet lack love" it is worthless. Shame on even some of the main teachers of these truths that they are often unkind and puffed up. I love this site but am considering not participating anymore unless i see humility being displayed.

    1. You summed up my thoughts exactly Anna. Where is the love and patience with each other in the body of Christ which clearly demonstrates this to the rest of the world?

    2. AMEN!
Those that are making comments that go against what this wesite believes/stands for are doing so to PROVOKE an argument. There is enough information on this site to educate them. It would be loving and kind of us to ignore their comments.

With the Love of Jesus...your Sister in Christ,
      Karen

    3. That's exactly right. They are trying to provoke. Godly division doesn't try to provoke, it separates peaceably and lovingly. Satanic division seeks to provoke, cause confusion, sow discord, cause Believers to question their faith and beliefs, etc. That's the kind of comments that concern me.

I basically ignore most argumentative comments, delete particularly hateful or satanic comments, and only address particular opposed comments if I feel like there might be a good teachable moment for the Body.

    4. Some of us have quoted Jesus Christ and the Prophets, and our posts have been deleted. I hope you are not referring to us all (who have been deleted) as satanic. You set a very dangerous precedent if you start removing people's experiences and views which does not completely line up with yours.

      Heb4:12
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

    5. Have not read any of your comments in other places but your very first sentence "some of us quoted Jesus and the Prophets" reminds me of a particular verse where Jesus responded something like.... "I do not know you, away with you". Satan uses scripture very well. Be warey of those quoting scripture that speak in a malicious and prideful way.

  2. "Rebuke them sharply that they may be sound in faith..." Titus 1:13 "No prophecy of scripture is of any private interpretation" 2 Pet 1:20 "Know this first, any man who adds to the words of this book will have the plagues added to him" Rev 22:18
I suggest holding to sound doctrine rather than teaching damnable heresies like Pre-Trib Rapture.

Anon, just a very slight correction: the term 'heresy' is reserved for those things that deal with the nature and character of God, and his relationship to us. Eschatology is, thankfully, one of those things that isn't necessary to get right in order to be right with God, and so by definition cannot be understood in terms of heresy or orthodoxy.

Besides which, none of the ancient creeds speak to it in any depth, beyond acknowledging the fact of a resurrection and Christ's return.

      That's a lot of grace you're overlooking.

  3. Gary...I know first hand what Pastor Farag ministered to us about in this video. I have been in the midst of this battle since 2015. My head has been chopped off and my neck spit down by professed brothers and sisters in Christ so many times...at first I stood up and defended myself and other like minded believers always with the Word. I was asked if I was a legalist...my reply was absolutely not! I was called a heretic for reasons only known to the one who flung the dung! I believe every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God as it is the very foundation of my salvation. The Holy Spirit taught me to be humble in my approach/defense still using the Word of God as the sword of my faith. I have a very heavy heart. The loss of relationship between believers is SAD to say the least and as a result of all this arguing/attacking I determined I was not friend material because I am not in a popularity contest. Now I have acquaintances with whom I share the gospel and uplift with scripture when the opportunity presents itself. My BEST FRIEND is JESUS. He has never left nor forsaken me.

I am tired and weary of this world and so ready for Jesus to receive us unto himself that where he is there we shall be also. Waiting and watching for our blessed hope. Praying we recieve our glorified bodies and eternal life with our Lord Jesus Christ in 2017 and if not I wi. Still be waiting and watching and giving Jesus all the glory. Amen!

    1. I'm sorry to hear about your struggle, sister. Jesus will never leave us. Remember that you do have spiritual brothers and sisters who care about you.

"I was called a heretic for reasons only known to the one who flung the dung!"

This perfectly sums up what I see the most! The most legalistic religious people come on here claiming to know better than everyone else (they don't) and then condemn anyone and everyone who doesn't agree with their wayward, unorthodox, and unscriptural views. It's definitely not from the LORD.

    2. Thank You my brother for your encouragement and kind words. I have spent the weekend with a heavy heart and in tears.

    3. Strange you say that. Saturday night and Sunday morning were the same for me. Extremely heavy heart - almost like mourning. I spent hours praying.

"26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because[a] the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God." - Romans 8:26-27

"I took the little scroll from the angel's hand and ate it. It tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I had eaten it, my stomach turned sour." - Revelation 10:10

    4. Since you said that...it has to be the sign of the times.
My Husband can tell you that for a couple of years there have been groanings (no words) coming out of me during my sleep. About 2 months ago I provided him with Romans 8:26-27 and now you mention the same scripture. WOW!

A lot of us feel that heaviness of heart, that sorrow. Sometimes I can't quite put my finger on it, but at other times I remember and it's like this little recurring light bulb.

Of course I'm sorrowful, of course I grieve. I'm homesick. I feel overwhelmed with the lateness of the hour. All the usual stuff just seems meaningless by comparison. This world and its goods still have too much of me, but it is all like ashes and dust in the mouth. There are people I love that I might leave. And yes, the thought occurs, who might leave me.

I pray for those who may, like me, feel that the world still has too much of us, even though we are thoroughly sick of it. That we may run with patience, even though it feels we must fight to crawl another inch forward. When we are faithless and false, he is Faithful and True. I pray that we might be granted the strength to obey, and the courage to hope, and the faith that words through love. And that we might be granted to keep our eyes fixed on Christ, who is our safety and surety in this life, and in the next our very great reward.

Until we behold with unveiled faces.

  4. Let us all who share these sorrows, as "we enter into the fellowship of His sufferings" take comfort in the words of Jesus Himself to His disciples: "Wherever the carcasse is, there will the eagles be gathered together". We, being led by the Holy Spirit, are gathering, at the right place, and at the right time. Maranatha. Carol

  5. Pre-Trib, Post-Trib, Mid-Trib, etc, etc. Here is a most bless way to look at all of these .....
1 - IF there is a Pre-Trib rapture then I'm for that because I'm ready for paradise. But my prayer is "Lord, please leave me behind and let me witness to those that would not listen before that may now".
2 - IF Mid-Trib ... dang I have to wait 3 1/2 more years. Good thing that it really doesn't start getting bad until then. Prayer is .. "Lord, help me to use this time wisely and witness to the lost".
3 - If Post-Trib ... What a show this is going to be!! Glad I have the Lord Jesus in my heart to carry me through this! Prayer is ... "Lord, I trust in you thus I know that I have no need to 'prep' like the preppers as what they have will be taken and gold will be worthless just as your Word tells us. Provide for me as you so promise, care for us all and help us to be good stewards during this time".

    2. Anonymous,

Thanks for sharing what your perspective is. I've shifted between Mid and Pre based on my own reading. Leaning toward Pre myself and have a number of scripture to back that but pointless to list them since this site does a good job of that.

  6. Whenever the Lord comes.. He promises in Matthew 24:45-46 to bless those that are providing meat for their family when He comes! Those that are preparing will be caught supplying meat in due season when he comes.

  8. I agree with the need to hold strong in belief and kindness to all. I wake with slightly panicked urgency and a foreboding that I can't shake with prayer. The time is short now, I feel it. It is strange but along with the panicked urgency is a settled peace, which completely contract each other. The feeling of Completion in his Grace, quite appropriate considering the Hebrew year 5777, (Grace in Completion).
