When September Ends

Hello, brothers and sisters. I pray that you are still awake and alert, longing for the appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ (Titus 2:13; 2 Tim. 4:8). At the end of last week, like many watchful believers, I was praying "Come, Lord!" more passionately and fervently than I can ever remember.

Now that the great sign of Revelation 12:1-2 has been fulfilled, it's not the time to go back to sleep. "Normal" is not an accurate description of the days in which we live. We are still in the High Holy Days...the "Days of Awe" on Yahweh's calendar leading up to Atonement. Many things are becoming clearer as hindsight turns to 20/20 vision. I am learning so much from others about Leviticus 25:8-10 and what could be the true last trump heard on the tenth of the seventh month, which will commence the year of Jubilee and our full redemption (c.f. 1 Cor. 15:51-52).

We're not out of the woods yet, but we can see the clearing up ahead! Hats off to the trailblazers and those on the front lines who are taking heat from the mouth of the dragon. It can be lonely on the leading edge, but you watchmen out there are standing firm and blazing ahead with courage. Thank you, thank you. May the LORD of hosts give you more confirmation as you continue to seek Him, humbly and patiently. As for the scoffers, doubters, hypocrites, accusers, and armchair theologians...

...I tell you, they already have their reward" (Matt. 6:5).

Since we are in this final week of September and nearing the 10th of the seventh month on the biblical calendar, I'm going to be doing something different with this post. This time it's personal.

There is a part of my personal testimony that relates to the month of September. Hindsight being 20/20 (and now the year 2017 being 20/20), I now see what the Lord was showing me during the darkest day of my life 12 years ago this month.

As Gary has skillfully shown in posts like "The Balaamic Prophecies of 2017," our sovereign God can speak through anyone whom He chooses, believer and unbeliever alike. Through humble submission and continual surrender to His will, it is possible to hear what the Spirit is saying.

Individually, we who believe can all be instruments in the hands of the living God, the One who turns our broken lives into a beautiful song of His grace. I testify to you today that the LORD planted a song in my heart when I was an unbeliever, and at that time, I did not fully understand. Years later, when I fully surrendered to the Lord, the song made more sense. And today, I'm overwhelmed by its potential significance.

I pray that this brief testimony will bless you and strengthen your faith in our soon coming King.

Backstory

I was born on July 21, 1986 in a suburb of Birmingham, Alabama. Both my mom and dad had children from previous marriages, all daughters, but I am their only son (I have a total of four sisters, and now I have two daughters of my own—help me, I'm surrounded!). My sisters and I were raised in church, and I definitely heard the gospel several times. No excuse for me.

In fact, not only did I have my regular Sunday School class at my local Baptist church, I also spent summers with my grandmother in Boaz, Alabama, where my younger sister and I went to Vacation Bible School. One day I remember being encouraged, no pressured, into going down the aisle and up to the altar to receive Christ. I did it, but then again, I had no idea what I was doing. We'll call that: Attempt at salvation #1.

When I was around ten years old, my parents divorced. Though I was too young to understand the full weight of my parents' decision, this event marked the beginning of sorrows for me and my family. Big changes were ahead. And the foundation that supported my world, one that had its flaws and fissures, was now crumbling and about to collapse.

My dad moved out while my mom kept me and my other two sisters in the house. Since the divorce brought with it shame and disgrace, my mom left the Baptist church and transferred us to the United Methodist Church. There I got confirmed and sprinkled. We'll call that: Attempt at salvation #2.

At this point in my life I was entering adolescence and the ever-turbulent middle school years. Going to church became less and less of a priority, and pretty soon we stopped going altogether. And so, I was released into the wild just in time for high school. As you might imagine, things didn't get much better for me.

Then came more bad news regarding my father's health. He was a Vietnam veteran (awarded a purple heart), a freelance portrait painter, and had been originally diagnosed with having severe asthma. However, one night when I was 11 or 12 years old, I remember going to the hospital to visit him and then riding back with my mother who was sobbing uncontrollably. She would later tell us that my dad would have to have a heart and lung transplant. In my mind, that was doable. No problem. Dad will pull through just like he always had before.

So I put that unthinkable scenario on the back-burner and moved on my merry way.

I soon picked up the guitar and joined a band while in high school. We called ourselves Beyond Me (yes, the irony of it is amusing). It was a garage band turned into something promising as we ended up playing in some major venues around the city. In fact, I was so assured of my eventual success as a rock star that I dropped out of college in order to pursue a career in music. Sure, my mom had cut me off of her financial supply, but I was prepared to work at the ice cream shop full-time and buy my own food at the grocery store. Hey, a kid can dream, can't he?

A Glimmer of Hope on My Darkest Night (September 17, 2005)

Things were cruising right along, even though I had my share of shake-ups and break-ups during the teenage years. Without the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit, however, I didn't have a clue about relationships and how to be a godly young man. I was your typical lost youth, wandering aimlessly in pursuit of pleasure and the next party on the weekend.

The illusion of peace and safety all came to an abrupt end when I got a call from my mom one September afternoon, telling me to get over to Atlanta as fast as I could. My dad was in the hospital, and she told me he had "taken a turn for the worse." Even as I heard my mother say those words, I still believed my dad would pull through. The denial of reality was as thick as a brick wall, and I was not about to entertain the thought of losing him.

The LORD, on the other hand, had other plans. He is the One, after all, who gives and takes away. And on the night of September 17, 2005, I sat there beside my dad, who at this point was on a ventilator and unable to speak. Graciously, the LORD allowed all of my dad's children to get there before he passed. As a 19-year-old young man, I had many things racing through my mind, but mostly regret, confusion, and profound despair.

That night I had even reached out to one of my band mates for consolation. He was a die-hard atheist, the militant kind who devoured books by Richard Dawkins, and he told me that he would ask those around him who prayed...to pray. I thought it was a nice gesture from a guy who hated God, and I have prayed for him many times since coming to know the Lord.

I remember leaving the hospital with my older sister, who had driven me to Atlanta from Birmingham. We both got in the car and sat there in stunned silence. At that time one of my favorite bands was Green Day. I had been to their concerts, had their T-shirts, and learned to play the guitar by strumming along to their albums.

The moment my sister started the car, Green Day's newly released single "Wake Me Up When September Ends" was playing on the radio. My sis left the car in park, and we listened, because in that moment we needed hope. And since we didn't listen to Christian radio, God used Green Day.

Here's a part of the song penned by Billie Joe Armstrong regarding the loss of his father:

Summer has come and passed. The innocent can never last. Wake me up when September ends. Like my father's come to pass. Twenty years has gone so fast. Wake me up when September ends...

It would be two more years after that September night until I would wake up, but the Good Shepherd had been in pursuit the whole time. That song has been a part of my testimony ever since, because it fit my situation perfectly. Summer had ended, and so had my innocence. Like Billie Joe Armstrong, I had lost my father too soon. Twenty years went by before I could blink, and I wanted it all to be just a bad dream...

O' Death, where is your victory? O' Death, where is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Cor. 15:55-57, NASB).

I would grieve without hope for two years after my dad's death, but I was being drawn by the Holy Spirit. Looking back, I can see how he brought a fella by the name of Seth into my life when I enrolled back into a community college. Seth came up to me after class one day and said point-blank, "I've been wrestling with God about this, but He wants me to come over and talk to you."

I had never heard anyone talk like this before. At least, not directly to me. But those were not "normal" days back then. I was deeply wounded, empty, and puzzled. Self-medicating via drugs and alcohol wasn't working to relieve the pain. And I still yearned for the truth. Will I ever see my dad again? What happens to me when I die? What's the point of this life? All burning questions unanswered at that time.

But God stepped in. The LORD spoke through Seth that day, and this faithful servant eventually gave me his own Bible off the floorboard of his truck. He told me that I needed to read it for myself. So I did, starting with Genesis.

My mom had taken a job in Atlanta, and my sister had moved away from Birmingham as well. I was now homeless, but still hopeful. I had the good Book in my hand, a guitar, and a toothbrush. You know, the simple life—the life of a nomad. I soon found myself living in a basement, sleeping on the floor, but my mom pulled some strings and reached out to one of my high school buddies' parents. So, I went to go live with them until I finished school.

Most nights I would stay up until 1 or 2 in the morning, reading the pages of Scripture. As I mentioned above, I started in Genesis. I figured that's the way you read books. From cover to cover. And once I got to the gospels, that's when I grew in my understanding of Jesus and what he had done for me. I only had a Sunday School understanding up to that point, but I was getting a crash course on the truth—straight from the eye-witnesses who walked and talked with the Savior.

I remember one night in the Fall of 2007, I was up reading one of the gospels. The lamp was on next to my bed, and I was entrenched. I could literally feel the weight of my guilt and shame as I read about Jesus' suffering and death on the cross. After soaking in the words about His compassion and love, sacrificial death and victorious resurrection, I stopped, closed my eyes, and prayed a sincere heartfelt cry toward God. My desperation turned to hope as I recall praying, "I believe, I believe."

All of a sudden I felt the most intense power flow through me. It was like lightning through my bones. I also felt like I was being washed from my head down to my feet. It was so shocking to me at the time, that I looked around to see if there was an angel in the room! I had just witnessed something supernatural—this was an encounter with the living God!

After that, things would never be the same. When you are a "born-again Christian" who knows what it's like to walk in darkness, and yet you experience radical, internal change overnight—you tend to be excited and want to tell everyone you know about Jesus! But, as many of you know, not everyone shares the same passion and enthusiasm for the most controversial Name in the world.

Nevertheless, the Lord Jesus has been faithful to lead and guide me to where I am today. I am so grateful that He interrupted my life, even though that involved suffering the pain and loss of my father. I now have the assured hope of eternal life, and I was even allowed to speak to my dad in a vivid dream shortly after I got saved. And now more than ever, I am waiting to hear the audible voice of the Lord, the shout of the archangel, and the dead to awaken.

"I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me, even if he dies, will live" (John 11:25, HCSB).

Wake Me Up When September Ends

Brothers and sisters in the Lord Jesus Christ, we stand at the edge of eternity. We have been eye-witnesses to a major prophecy being fulfilled—a great sign heralding our full and final redemption. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, for there is no other hope. There is no other name given to us by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

When 9/23 came and went without much ado, there were mixed reactions. Some good, some not so Christ-like. While many celebrated the civil new year in Jerusalem, blowing trumpets and setting their hopes on good things to come, the humble hearts of those waiting for Jesus were torn. Torn because we know what lies ahead for those who dwell on the earth. Torn because we are still here and haven't gone home yet (Prov. 13:12).

Our brother, Barry Scarbrough, brought to my attention that Green Day played at the Global Citizen Festival in NYC on 9/23. I don't know if they played "Wake Me Up When September Ends," but I wouldn't be surprised if they did.* How fitting. On the day where the great sign (Rev. 12:1-2) appeared over the earth, Stevie "Wonder" takes a knee (Rom. 14:11; Php. 2:10) and Billie Joe Armstrong sings about an awakening at the end of September.

*Someone in the comments section below posted a link (here), which provides the band's set list and reveals that Green Day did, indeed, play the song as an encore on 9/23/2017.

Wouldn't that be something? Literally, the day that September ends is 9/30, the Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur. You know this has got my attention. What if the song that pierced my heart on the night of my father's death was one of many confirmations of the imminent fulfillment of every believer's hope—the return of Jesus, the resurrection of the dead, the transformation and redemption of the living, and our entrance into the true holy of holies (Heb. 9:12, 24-28)?

Wouldn't that be something? I can tell you what I'll be doing at the end of this week. I'll be looking up along with all who long for His appearing.

...Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!" (Rev. 22:20).

  1. I enjoyed your life story. For some reason September has always been a difficult month for me too, many times over the years it seems all of my heartbreaking moments occurred in September. You are totally correct that now is not the time to fall asleep. We should be watching now more than ever!

  3. Leviticus says the jubilee trumpet is blown after 49 years to consecrate the 50th which would have been the feast of atonement 2016. Not 2017. 5777 was the jubilee year im not understanding why you would blow the jubilee trumpet at the end of the jubilee year and not at the start as said by leviticus 25:8-9

I havnt had anyone explain why im wrong and im desperately seeking for an answer

    2. Hi Unknown,

I’ve been in your shoes but then someone explained to me that the Jewish people have 2 calendars, one for a civil year and one for a religious year. The civil one starts at each Rosh Hashanah (First of Tishri) and it's from autumn to autumn. The religious year starts in the spring around March, on the 1 of Nissan if I'm correct. The Jewish religious year is the one that God established originally (not the civil year). This current Jewish religious year started on the 24th of this March and will end on the 16th of next March, so we are in the middle of it. But there’s more… Every Jubilee Year starts in the month of Tishri, on its 10th day which is Yom Kippur. This coming Jubilee Year will actually start at this coming Saturday. (So, we shouldn’t focus on the calendar for the Jewish civil year!)

    3. Thanks Nora that helps a lot. Im still not following 100% its very confusing. Even if you take march 1967 and add 49 years then you come to march 2016. That would be the beginning of the jubilee and the jubilee year would have ended already in march of this year. Also how can a jubilee year start in the middle of a year? Do you have any place i can find information on this topic

    4. tom ya,

In 1969 a decree has been announced (in Israel) about the re-building of Jerusalem. From the exact date of the birth of this decree 49 biblical years (which are 360 days long) were added and that time period ended in 2017, on the 17th of this July. I think Daniel Matson's articles in this regard are very informative:

Also, this video (and its follow-up) helped me a lot to understand this topic!

    5. Its 50 years...a jubilee is declared in the fiftieth year. 1967 + 50 is 2017.

      https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/jubilee-year-2017-chadwick-harvey/

Leviticus 25:8-17, “And you shall count seven sabbaths of years for yourself, seven times seven years; and the time of the seven sabbaths of years shall be to you forty-nine years. Then you shall cause the trumpet of the Jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month (Tishri 10 - Yom Kippur); on the Day of Atonement you shall make the trumpet to sound throughout all your land. And you shall consecrate the fiftieth (50th) year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a Jubilee for you; and each of you shall return to his possession, and each of you shall return to his family. That fiftieth year shall be a Jubilee to you."

    6. no it says the jubilee trumpet is blown after 49 years right there. 1967+49=2016 feast of atonement
the 50th year is holy but that was 5777. why would they blow it after 5777 is already over it makes no sense

      Delete
    7. nora that makes sense if we use 1969 but most of us have been using 1967 as the starting point. ive watched that video but it makes no sense to me because he puts the jubilee at 2017-2018. but 1967 + 49 = 2016-2017 as the jubilee. which is from when Jerusalem was retaken . which is what i thought everyone was using

      Delete
    8. that guy who made that video adds 50 years to 1967 but Leviticus clearly says that after 49 years you blow the trumpet of jubilee which would have been in 2016 feast of atonement. it doesnt say after 50 years. the jubilee IS THE 50TH so by the time you guys are blowing the jubilee trumpet the jubilee is already over

    11. Tom ya, The more im looking into this , the more im seeing that Oct 2, 2016-September 22,2017 was the 50th year - ie the jubilee. If this is true, then the delay of the trump for the feast of trumpets should have last year not this year. Given that that is the case the rapture may not have to happen on a Feast day, It could literally happen right before the tribulation somehow?

    12. Hi this was the reason why Daniel searched for something else of significance that could indicate Jubilee fell in 1969 rather than 1967 and using 360 day weeks rather than 365.2 day weeks, it arrives at this coming Saturdays FoA.

    13. As I mentioned, we should focus on the Jewish religious year. The Jewish civil year is the one that has started back in 2016 October but their religious year has only started this March in 2017. And, if we're correct in our interpretation, the Jubilee Year starts even later, instead of the 1 of Nissan (which is in/around March) it starts on the 10th of Tishri (which is in September/October). If we're wrong and the Lord doesn't count this year as a Jubilee Year we'll find it out later on.

    14. it works if you use 1969. but if you use 1967 when the jews got their land back which makes more sense to be the jubilee... then 1967 nissan to 2016 nissan that would still be 49 years and then jubilee trumpet would be blown 2016 feast of atonement

    16. Peter yes i still believe in a very near rapture any day now but I just think this yom kippur jubilee trumpet isnt accurate since we have all been taught that you start at 1967 to get the jubilee (2016-2017) which also lines up with the balfour declaration in 1917 etc. to change this to 1969 you would have to find something significant 50 years before 1969 etc .... nobody has proven this yet the traditional 1967 1917 teaching makes more sense . but then you cant have the jubilee trump this year

      Delete
    17. Yes this is starting to sound like September 23, I was asking around saying where does it say in the Bible the feast of trumpets is 2 days, no one could give me an answer, yet they continued believing yom turuah was 48 hours. Everyone wants the rapture so badly they are willing to ignor facts.

    18. This is a great question, and the answer to it might be found in the Jewish Talmud (Writings on Jewish civil and ceremonial laws).

“Rabbi Yishmael, son of Rabbi Yoḥanan ben Beroka, said: From Rosh HaShana (Feast of Trumpets) until Yom Kippur (Feast of Atonement) of the Jubilee Year (The 50th year), Hebrew slaves were not released to their homes because the SHOFAR had not yet been sounded. And they were also not enslaved to their masters, as the Jubilee Year had already begun. Rather, they would eat, drink, and rejoice, and they would wear their crowns on their heads like free people. Once Yom Kippur arrived, the court would sound the shofar, slaves would be released to their houses, and fields that were sold would be returned to their original owners.” - Talmud Rosh HaShanah 8b
      https://www.sefaria.org/Rosh_Hashanah.8b.10?lang=bi

From what I understand of this Rabbi’s statement, the 50th year is the year of the Jubilee Trumpet and the official release on Yom Kippur. Therefore, it makes since that slaves would be celebrating at Rosh HaShanah (Feast of Trumpets) on the 50th year knowing that the Jubilee trumpet and the release was coming in 10 days. If the Jubilee trumpet sounded on Yom Kippur in the 49th year, the slaves would still have one more year of labor before their official release could take place in the 50th year (per Leviticus 25:10).

Now I'm not an expert on these things, but because of what's described in the Talmud, the Jubilee trumpet sounding on Yom Kippur in the 50th year makes the most sense to me, especially since the Rabbis who wrote the Talmud took the application of the Levitical law very seriously.

    19. To add on this topic and Ryan's conclusions:

We do have two dates to pinpoint the coming 50th year:
      Belfour Declaration: 2-11-1917
      Jerusalem back: 7-6-1967

According to these dates, the starting point has to be on the first month (Nisan/March/April) in the year with a 7.

Two observations about Lev. 25:8-17 if you read strictly:
      1. It doesn’t say blow the shofar IN the 49th year, it only states count 49 years and blow the shofar. So it could be blown AFTER the 50th year.
      2. Next it does say everyone has to be released, but not necessarily AFTER the blowing of the shofar. So it could be at the start of the year, BEFORE the blowing of the Shofar.

Therefor if you make the 49 years full, you come to the Jom Kippur half way in the 50th year. You’re right that it’s a strange timing: it doesn’t make much sense to us to blow the shofar half a year before or half way in the 50th year. It’s the best we can give; the timings of the LORD are most of the time odd for us, but make perfect sense when you have the vantage point of looking back.

      Another observation:
If its in analogy with JHWH’s revelation on Mount Sinaï, the shofar is sounded on the 50th day (Ex.19:13,16-19), and half on the day (in the morning); a time after the day begun (from evening to evening).

    20. On my first observation: AFTER the 50th has to be AFTER the 49th :)

  4. A man had two daughters. They lived in a trailer park that, frankly, had seen better times.

One day the man said, "I'm going to find us a better place to live. You girls take care of things here while I'm gone."

After a while he returned, late one night, and was greeted with joy by his younger daughter who had spent her days checking the phone for messages and sitting by the window watching for any sign of his return.

    "Where's your sister?" he asked.

"I don't know," she replied. "She hasn't been watching with me."

So the man went in the house and found his older daughter climbing out of bed, a little groggy, startled awake by the sound of his truck coming up the drive.

"What have you been doing?" he asked.

"Well, the first thing I did was clean up the yard," she said. "I sold all those broken machines as scrap metal. Then I planted some flowers. They're really pretty; you'll be able to see them in the morning. After that I emptied out all the closets and had a yard sale. Then I dusted, vacuumed, and washed the windows. Today I did the shopping and cleaned the bathroom. Here's the money from the scrap metal and the yard sale. Can I fix you something to eat?

    1. DJ,

The Lord admonished us several times to watch, watch and watch for His arrival! "To love His appearing" is clearly pleasing His heart! But, we're also occupying till He comes! No one's denying that. There's no incompatibility between these two things. I even think so that the encouragement we’re getting from His soon return helps us to do things at His prompt! (Also, I've just remembered the Biblical story where Jesus preferred the one's attitude who was sitting at His feet listening to Him while the other sister was occupied with housework, so discernment-as always- is needed of the tasks we occupy ourselves with.)

    2. Nora,

I really don't think we're at odds with one another.

Eccl 3 (summarized and paraphrased): "To every thing there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to be like Mary, a time to be like Martha..."

1 Cor 12 (summarized and paraphrased): "If the whole body is eyes, who will do the work? If the whole body is hands, who will watch?"

The trick, it seems, is knowing WHO each of us is, and WHAT God wants each of us doing (including WHEN, WHERE, WHY and HOW He wants it done). Which isn't always easy to figure out, and that's where the discernment you mention comes into play. So let us all ask God (who gives generously to all without reproach) for the wisdom we lack.

      Agreed? Amen. Maranatha!

Yes, that's true, there are watchmen who are warning others and we all have different tasks within the body of the Church. And I agree that we should seek the Lord and the Holy Spirit’s guidance on what is our task. The only thing that I’m still feeling important to add is that the Lord Jesus said, “And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.” (Mark 13:37) Based on that and other verses, I think that He expects all of us to watch for His return and be alert/awake, next to doing our tasks under His lead.

When You Come Back To Me Again

There's a ship out on the ocean at the mercy of the sea.
It's been tossed about, lost and broken wondering aimlessly.
And God somehow you know that ship is me.
Cause theres a light house, in a harbor shining faithfully,
pouring its life out across the water,
for this sinking soul in the sea.
That someone out there still believes in me.

On a prayer, in a song, I hear your voice,
and it keeps me hanging on.
Ohhhh, raining down, against the wind,
I'm reaching out, till we reach the cirlces end,
when you come back to me again.

Theres a moment, that we all come to,
in our own time, in our own space,
    and all that we've done,
we can undo if our hearts in the right place.

On a prayer, in a song,
I hear your voice, and it keeps me hanging on.
Ohhhh, raining down, against the wind,
I'm reaching out, till we reach the circles end,
when you come back to me again and again
I see my yesterdays in front of me,
    unfolding like a mystery,
your changing all that is and used to be.

On a prayer, in a song,
I hear your voice, and it keeps me hanging on.
Ohhhh, raining down, against the wind,
I'm reaching out, till we reach the circles end,
when you come back to me again.

when you come back to me again.

  17. Hey Jeff, I grew up in Costa Mesa myself. My Email is cratbs@aol.com Contact me and I can get you my ph# God's New Year is the New Moon after Spring Equinox i.e. beginning of months. Creation? 1st day of the 1st Month; the Sun, Moon and Earth lined up at the beginning. The opposite side of the calendar is what Satan uses "Rosh Hashanah"; Tishrei is the Assyrian-Babylonian month of "Beginning" Ex 12:2 is the instructions for the Passover Lamb before God rescued Israel from Egyptian captivity. Jesus would later become the Passover Lamb. Noah removed the Ark on the same day of the year "first month, first day" Gen 8:13.
A Year has never changed since God set the Sun in motion; a Jubilee is the 50th Year; Jesus returns as promised in the 120th Jubilee (6000th Year; 2 Pet 3:8); therefore is must be as Creation, Flood and Exodus were, at the New Moon Jubilee in Ps 81:3. Note the differences in the KJV and new bible versions of Ps 81:3KJV confuses this issue. Take Care Jeff.

  26. I'd love to be so wrong, but I don't see how this year it's possible to have a rapture.

None of the trumpets of Rev 8 have blown and I still haven't got to the bottom of how the "last trumpet" could come before them.

However, yes, the Day of Atonement is probably THE day. This year? There's an interesting statement in Revelation:

"There will be no more delay!" Rev 10:6

    Delay?

    1. Lots of different trumpets in scripture. It's not related to Revelation. Could actually be the two trumpets blown when a King is being crowned and have nothing to do with a feast day. All the spring feasts were fulfilled at the same time. Why should the fall feasts be any different?

      Delete
    2. Revelation goes from Day of Trumpet to Day of Atonement. The Jubilee year begins on the Day of Atonement with the Rapture and a global earthquake (axial poleshift). The earth quake will be in the 7th Biblical month (Rev 6:12-17; Rev 8:1-7= Lev 16:13-27. The King is crowned on Yom Teruah/Day of Trumpet ten days before Armageddon on the Day of Atonement. The rapture is on the Day of Atonement at the end of the tribulation period (Day of Trumpet 2007 to Day of Atonement 2017). Then we come to the 1 year from Day of Trumpet to the Day of Atonement at which time the trumpet and bowl judgments of Revelation are poured out. The Trumpet Judgements will be during the first 5 months and the Bowl Judgements the last 7 months. Other view is the Bowl Judgments over the last ten days before Armageddon on the Day of Atonement. The Second Coming is the last ten days and Feast of Tabernacles.

  31. Psalm 117 =2017 This Psalm, the shortest in the whole collection, is written as a part of the preceding in thirty-two manuscripts. It celebrates the deliverance from the Babylonian captivity, the grand type of the redemption of the world by the Messiah.
Deliverance: to liberate from captivity, danger, restraint; to save; to distribute or hand over
    Liberate: to set free, freedom.
    Yovel (Jubilee)
    O praise: Psa_66:1, Psa_66:4, Psa_67:3, Psa_86:9; Isa_24:15-16, Isa_42:10-12; Rom_15:11; Rev_15:4
    praise him: Psa_148:11-14, Psa_150:6; Rev_5:9, Rev_7:9-10
    Isa 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
    Isa 61:2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
Yovel (Jubilee) According to Lev_25:9 a loud trumpet should proclaim liberty throughout the country on the 10th day of the 7th month (the Day of Atonement), after the lapse of 7 sabbaths of years = 49 years. In this manner, every 50th year was to be announced as a jubilee year. All real property should automatically revert to its original owner (Lev_25:10; compare Lev_25:13), and those who, compelled by poverty, had sold themselves as slaves to their brothers, should regain their liberty (Lev_25:10; compare Lev_25:39).
The 50th year was to be a time in which liberty should be proclaimed to all the inhabitants of the country.
We should, indeed, diminish the import of this institution if we should apply it only to those who were to be freed from the bonds of physical servitude. Undoubtedly, they must have been the foremost in realizing its beneficial effects. But the law was intended to benefit all, the masters as well as the servants. They should never lose sight of their being brothers and citizens of theocratic kingdom. They owed their life to God and were subject to His sovereign will. Only through loyalty to Him were they free and could ever hope to be free and independent of all other masters.

  32. Battle of Jerusalem in 1917 was a Jubilee year. The 6th Day War in 1967 was a Jubilee year. 2017 is a Jubilee year.
It was a part of the Divine plan looking forward to the salvation of mankind. “The deepest meaning of it (the Jubilee Year) is to be found in the ἀποκατάστασις τῆς βασιλείας τοῦ θεοῦ, apokatástasis tḗs basileı́as toú theoú, i.e. in the restoring of all that which in the course of time was perverted by man's sin, in the removing of all slavery of sin, in the establishing of the true liberty of the children of God, and in the delivering of the creation from the bondage of corruption to which it was subjected on account of man's depravity” (Rom_8:19 ff) (compare Keil, Manual of Biblical Archaeology). In the Year of Jubilee a great future era of Yahweh's favor is foreshadowed, that period which, according to Isa_61:1-3, shall be ushered in to all those that labor and are heavy laden, by Him who was anointed by the spirit of the Lord Yahweh.
On 2/1/2017, both Nibiru and Jupiter come to a full stop and begin a retrograde for nine months in Virgo. On 9/18/2017 on the Giza Pyramid Meridian, both Jupiter and Nibiru are at the meridian. This alignment will never occur again. Between 9/22/2017 and 9/22/2021 Nibiru will have begun to fade and pass into judgment. By 2027, it completely disappears and is gone for good.

  35. Jeff, thank you for sharing your story, and thank you for the time that you invest in this blog in order to bring more souls to Christ.

I’ve had a relationship with the Lord for most of my life. My dad began my journey with the Lord from the day I was born by playing tapes of the reading of the Bible every night while I slept. I was baptized at the age of 14, and my experience was exactly as you described it in this post.

I have enjoyed a close relationship with the Lord for most of my 40 years here on earth, but I must admit that for the last 6-12 months, I feel as though my sins have out-welcomed my salvation. I am ashamed of myself, and am having a hard time forgiving myself.

Jesus said that if I ask of anything of our Father in His name that He will give it to us, and I have begged for Him to forgive me and once again wash over me with His spirit, yet I still feel as though my spirit is not whole.

I share this with you, even as I have not done so with my wife, hoping that a fellow brother in Christ may help me to see the error in my ways. I feel lost and long for His comfort to consume me. Has the Lord forsaken me? Will you please pray for me?

    1. Yes, I will pray for you! Don't give up, and listen to the truth of His word:

There is a reason why the author of Hebrews quotes Deuteronomy 31:6 in chapter 13. No matter what. He will never leave or forsake [abandon] you! Period. End of story.

If you are a child of God, then you are disciplined by a loving Father...because He loves you! See Hebrews 12:3-13. Even with all of the strong language in this book, the author who is Spirit filled and Spirit led emphasizes the everlasting, covenant love of the Father.

Again, He will never forsake you! Return to Him with all of your heart and, by all means, given the closeness of Christ's return, get ready to receive your inheritance as a co-heir with the King. Oh, and don't forget. You don't deserve it. None of us do. It's by His grace (Eph. 2:8-9).

Peace to you in Christ, my friend.

  41. Is it possible that the Church was actually birthed on 9/23/2017 (but not raptured) and that we are just waiting to have our hearts circumcised before the last trump of God is blown? Is there any other verses and typology we're missing?

There are too many patterns pointing to this year. I still cannot get my head around nothing happening this year. Hearing about Lev 25:8-9 really shows how many of us (me included) missed an important clue as to why it was NOT going to happen on FOT. I'm now wondering what else we're missing. My wife thought she vaguely recalled something after a baby is circumcised in the bible before it is presented to ... (High Priest, Temple, etc.)

    1. The beginning of 5777 was the jubilee year,we are now at 5778 so Leviticus 25 would not apply to 5778. You can't wrap your head around September 23 because you were told that feast of trumpets was a 2 day event, when that is found no where in the Bible.

      Delete
    2. @ Peter Petruzzi

How have you determined knowing the reason why I can't wrap my head around that issue or anything else?

      Using your reasoning..

Where in the bible does it say last year was 5777? If Israel is off by over 200 years, why assume they had 5777 right?

How do you know 5777 was not a Jubilee year? Where's your proof?

Where in the bible does it say the Lev 25:8-9 trumpets are blown at the beginning or end of the year?

As far as the two-day event for FOT not being mentioned in the bible, there are many things not mentioned in the bible because they can be proven elsewhere and/or by practice, culture and tradition contemporaneous to that time. I haven't tried to source the origin of FOT being over 2 days but the explanation makes sense. Why not offer your proof that it isn't. Saying it's not in the bible isn't proof because the bible is silent or less detailed about many things

Lev 25:8  And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years.
Lev 25:9  Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.
Lev 25:21  Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year (2014), and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.
Lev 25:22  And ye shall sow the eighth year(2016), and eat yet of old fruit until the ninth year (2017); until her fruits come in ye shall eat of the old store.
Great Trumpet: Isa_27:13  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.
      the great: Isa_18:3; Lev_25:9; Num_10:2-4; 1Ch_15:24; Psa_47:5, Psa_81:3, Psa_89:15; Zec_9:13-16; Mat_24:31; Luk_4:18; Rom_10:18; 1Th_4:16; Rev_8:2, Rev_8:6-13; Rev_9:1, Rev_9:14, Rev_10:7, Rev_11:15-18 Look at these scriptures and COMPARE TO:

1Co 15:52  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.  last: Exo_19:16, Exo_20:18; Num_10:4; Isa_18:3, Isa_27:13; Eze_33:3, Eze_33:6; Zec_9:14; Rev_8:2, Rev_8:13, Rev_9:13-14
Now look at each verse in both lists and write out your story.

  42. Sept 23rd, 2017 plus Lev 12:1-3 = Day of Atonement (Sept 30th) which will be combined (Day of Trumpet/Day of Atonement) because in a JUbilee year (Lev 25:9-10; 20-22; Luke 4; Isaiah 61:1-2) the rapture and Armageddon occurs over a one year period when we apply Gen 6:3. Also Day of Atonement +33 days = the Day the Flood began (Nov 2) which was also the day the Balfour declaration was signed. So this date/day becomes a watch date for the first trumpet of Revelation. Day of Atonement begins the Day of the Lord with a global earthquake of 6.0-10.0 (axial poleshift) just like there was on the Day of Atonement prior to the Flood. If you want to understand the end, then you understand Genesis to Deuteronomy.

  43. Thank you so much for sharing. I also got to see my grandpa, who was like my father, in a dream a month after he passed away to say my goodbye. God used this to draw me back to him and awaken me to everything I know and believe today (like your website!). God is so good and we are so blessed to be his children.
I'm patiently watching, waiting and telling of his coming...

  44. I know of no worse pain than losing a parent and whether you are 19 or 49, the pain is gut wrenching agony that can almost paralyze you from living your life. The solution: do things for the Kingdom. Spread the Gospel, help the poor and most of all, study your Bible because it will give you the strength, comfort, joy and excitement to carry on with life until we can be reunited with our loved ones in Heaven. That Book gives me everything I need. God bless you.

  45. I'm confused. If we're supposed to have 6000 years from Creation to the Millennial Kingdom, minus 7 for the Tribulation, shouldn't we be looking for Hebrew year 5993 (rather than 5777)? Is the Hebrew calendar off by that much? If so, when and how did it get goofed up? And if it's goofed up, why do people make a big deal about those three sevens in 5777? Besides, isn't it 5778 now? Help! Maranatha!

    1. Okay, replying to my own post (with further information).

I was seeking an answer to my question above and came across a curious mathematical fact when I typed "why 5777 not 5993" into Google. Specifically:

"Goldbach [a famous mathematician] conjectured that all odd composites are sum of a prime and twice a square. [Turns out] 5777 and 5993 are the only known exceptions. The next element of the sequence, if it exists, is larger than 10^9 [which is a really big number]."

Just thought that was really curious and maybe one of the "Christian Numerologists" here might have something to say about it.

    2. I also found this in the responses to the "Hubbub" article on this site:

So the Rev12 sign occurred in 3915 BC. Let's just say this was the creation year, and the world was birthed.

This puts us not quite at 6000 years of humanity, right? Or does it?

I would assume God uses 360 day years for a reason, not just because the numbers round nice. Let's just say God uses those days for a year, because that's how He created the world.

And then, let's just say that the global flood was in 1656 AM as calculated here (AIG) - https://answersingenesis.org/bible-timeline/timeline-for-the-flood/

And, I would think it is safe to assume that the opening of the fountains of the deep and the floodwaters in the sky had something to do with wobbling the earth around so that we somehow ended up with 365.25 day years. It may have taken a bit to settle down, the land wasn't divided until the days of Peleg a bit later on, but let's use the year 1656 AM and guess that things settled down to balance out to 365.25 days/year quite quickly.

Which means we've existed for an extra 5.25 days per year since the global flood.

But if our allotted days are 6000 years, what if we take into account the "extra" days?

      3915 - 1656 = 2259 years BC + 2017 years AD - 1 (no year 0)
= 4275 years lived with "extra days"

      4275 x 365.25 / 360 = 4337 360-day-year equivalent years since the flood

      4337 (post flood) + 1656 (preflood) = 5993 years.

Just in time to tack on another 7.

    3. The difference between 3915 BC and 2017 is a difference of 65-70 years

What if that sign in 3915 BC was the fall of Adam and not the creation date?

If that was the case, that meant Adam was created about 65-70 years earlier before he and Eve had their fall.

While the bible is silent on when Adam and Eve sinned, the Book of Jubilees gives us some indication because it maintains that Eve was aged between 64 and 70 years when she gave birth to Cain, her first child which I think is reasonable to assume may have occurred right after she and Adam sinned and were kicked out of the Garden of Eden.

The references to Eve's age are in the 3rd and 4th chapter of the Book of jubilees and remember when you see the word weeks, it means shmitas or a week of years.

    4. 3915 BCE was near the Death of Adam and Eve. 3915+65= 3980 to 3985. 3983 BCE-6000 years = 2017. Earliest recorded date is 4004 BCE. The age of the earth is 6000-6021 years of age.

  46. The day of Atonement /Yom Kippur has come and gone and sadly we are still here... See, as JESUS said, we neither know the day or the hour of his return, only GOD knows. BUT Jesus did say we can know the season but that's all. I am not hating on anyone, trust me I am not. We need to remember Jesus's words. When we do get to heaven we can gather around a Star with Marshmallows and discuss "WHAT WERE WE THINKING" LOL I look forward to that. Much agape love brothers and sisters.

    1. Even if that verse does not refer to FOT, it says day and hour, it doesn't say a period consisting of two or more days and the preceding verses don't seem to be referring to the rapture.

We're date watchers, not date setters. God said we would not be caught unaware and said to watch always. You have to have something to watch for to be a watcher. I'm not trying to sound harsh, but when I hear people parrot "no man knows the day or hour" it tells me they haven't looked at the preceding verses and makes them sound lukewarm and of this world, as if saying don't watch or even look for any dates to even watch for, you'll never know anyway (as in defeatist).

We are in watch mode for the rapture this year until October 13th. We are in watch mode for the Day of the Lord with the Trumpet and Bowl Judgment to begin. We are in watch mode for the first Trumpet Judgment to begin on Nov 2. After that, there should be one judgment per month on the New Moon or Full Moon. The Bowl Judgments begin at Passover. We are in watch mode for an global earthquake (axial poleshift) this year. We are in watch mode for the Jet stream to drop down to the Earth with 200 mile hour winds. We are in watch mode for Armageddon on the Day of Atonement next year. You will go through the Trumpet and Bowl Judgments of Revelation over this one year period. We are in watch mode for a total solar eclipse that will bring three hours of darkness over the Earth in Europe either on the first day of Feast of Tabernacles, the 4th, 7th or 8th. You will take the Mark of the Beast before the year ends in 2017. Once you take that mark (chip or tattoo), then you will spend eternity in the lake of fire and brimstone for eternity.

  47. All this "You will" business... tell us do you know you are insane? All because I do not wish like you or as hard as you, you quickly condemn me to hell. Tell us, does it hurt to me insane?

No matter how you spin Jesus' words, it is plain, Only GOD knows ONLY!!!!! we can only know the season.

    1. Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 all tie to Leviticus 23 and God's calendar. The internet is saying that by the end of 2017 that everyone will take the mar of the beast. I read mostly headlines on Steve quayle.com and Beforeitsnews.com. One headline or comment read like this: All those who are on food stamps now will by the end of 2017 be required to take the chip to stay on the food stamp program.

    2. Nibiru headlines. Nibiru will show up in late October. One said Nibiru will be here between December and Arpril. Window for Nibiru is 2015-2020. A colser one is Oct 2017 to October 2018.
Windows for the Great tribulation: 2014-2017; 2015-2018; 2017-2020. Christians say 2021-2024. End of Sin is 2024. Chanukkah 1 is the set date for the dedication of the Messianic Temple.
