Calm before the storm

The convergence of signs continues.

Fascinating at this time before the storm, President Trump this week talked about the calm before the storm:

Earthquakes are on the rise as seen in Mexico and elsewhere. Then factor in all the signs in the heavens like the Blood Moon Tetrad, supermoons, eclipses, Revelation 12 fulfillment and these close conjunctions such as Mars (war) and Venus (Christ).

The convergence of murders, polarization, rage, rioting and hatred is at a fever pitch, as is selfish greed, godlessness and lust.

Of course the end of the fall feast days are right in front of us.  The much discussed end of the Feast of Tabernacles and the 8th day on October 13th is only a week away.

Maybe it's just me, because of the news I follow and my beliefs about the day and the hour, but the world feels so pregnant, ripe, tense and poised.

Psalm 30 (NASB)

Thanksgiving for Deliverance from Death.

A Psalm; a Song at the Dedication of the House. A Psalm of David.

I will extol You, O Lord, for You have lifted me up,
And have not let my enemies rejoice over me.
O Lord my God,
I cried to You for help, and You healed me.
O Lord, You have brought up my soul from Sheol;
You have kept me alive, that I would not go down to the pit.
Sing praise to the Lord, you His godly ones,
And give thanks to His holy name.
For His anger is but for a moment,
His favor is for a lifetime;
Weeping may last for the night,
But a shout of joy comes in the morning.
Now as for me, I said in my prosperity,
“I will never be moved.”
O Lord, by Your favor You have made my mountain to stand strong;
You hid Your face, I was dismayed.
To You, O Lord, I called,
And to the Lord I made supplication:
“What profit is there in my blood, if I go down to the pit?
Will the dust praise You? Will it declare Your faithfulness?
10 Hear, O Lord, and be gracious to me;
O Lord, be my helper.”
11 You have turned for me my mourning into dancing;
You have loosed my sackcloth and girded me with gladness,
12 That my soul may sing praise to You and not be silent.
O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.

    5. I believe the key here is to note that Jesus is NOT Himself the sign, it is Jesus that is giving us the sign to point us to the truth that he is going to fulfill the Father's will as the Son of God as written in the Bible.

It is in a spirit of love and truth that he as made this know to all people so that 'we' might repent, call on his name and by faith receive eternal life.

  4. Except those days be shortened, no flesh would be saved. But for the sake of the elect, those days shall be shortened...

It's easy to see with today's weapons and interdependence of systems how quickly everything could be destroyed... I pray we can find comfort, knowing there is nothing we can really do to stop what is coming, all we can do is try to save a few more from the fire... God has appointed His day to judge, and I don't think we've ever slowed down it's final approach.

Let us continue to watch as He puts the final touches on this chapter of His story.

  5. Dear Brothers & Sisters, It seems that I might be all alone in my beliefs. I don't know if I'm damned or what. I do believe in GOD or IAM. I believe Jesus, our KING died for all of us the Jews & the Gentiles. But I don't believe in the trinity, I take GOD at face value. He gave the world his only begotten son. Reading parts of the New Testament, it seems that HE was always trying to bring people back to GOD, Our FATHER. Our FATHER, who art in Heaven. Jesus was GODs only way to save us. As to Jesus's divinity, if he is from our Father then HE must be divine. Right? As for the Rapture, I'm not a Pre-trib, Mid-trib or End Trib. I can see that all the signs are being revealed to us, being Watchman. I'm not sure about Mary's Immaculate Conception. I read the Lost books of the Bible and it seemed that GOD was with Mary's all her life. I think that some of the Bible has been tampered with. The bible I use says that the number of the beast will be a human number. IMVHO it sounds like Man will create his own number, thus creating AI maybe. That who the anti Christ is a computer. I really, really hope that I have not offended anyone. This site has been kind of haven to get away from the ills of this world. So here goes, going to click the publish button. Peace to all of you!

    2. Mark,

I totally understand what you are saying and if I may, I would like to offer a couple of things that may help. It is my hope that you will be challenged to seek answers through your own personal and prayerful Bible study. It is pure joy digging nuggets of scriptural gold!

It is my personal opinion that the western translations of the Bible lead us astray in some respects. Our first impression of G-D from scripture is a perfect example. Western culture has a tendency to translate "GOD or IAM" (quoting you) as if He were a singular, masculine entity. Our English translations will drop a hint early on that there is more to G-D. Open your Bible to (Genesis 1:26); you will find that,

God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness."

Did you catch it? God said, "Let US make..." [emphasis mine]. Who's "us" and how do we find out?

The first time I read that I thought I got it but in fact I really did not! Most, if not all, English translations don't capture the essence of the Hebrew language in respect to Torah. The "problem" begins in (Genesis 1:1)

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

Okay, if you take that on face value per western understanding and common street knowledge, you'll believe G-D to be a singular masculine entity. I tend to think that you may agree.

      BUT!!!

Take a look at the original Hebrew. You get a TOTALLY different picture. The word that western Bibles translate as "G-D" is "שלהים" (el-o-heem). "שלהים" is the masculine plural form of "שלה" which is the singular form meaning "G-D". In other words, the third word in Torah is where you would learn that G-D is understood as a masculine-plural or "us".

So if G-D is an "us", who is "us"?

Turn your Bibles to (Isaiah 57:15),

For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: "I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite."

Okay, now let's pick this apart quickly. Who is the "One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity whose name is Holy?"

      You're right! That's G-D our Father.

Now, who is this that "is of a contrite and lowly spirit?"

If you answered Jesus, you're right!

And for who did Jesus come? He came to "revive the spirit of the lowly [meaning "humble"] and to revive the heart of the contrite [meaning "broken-hearted"].

If you answered you and me? You're absolutely right!

Gonna have to break this message into pieces...BRB

    3. The Bible clearly tells us what the Gospel is in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.... THAT is what you must believe to be saved, according to Romans 10:9-10. If you choose to believe there is no Trinity, despite verses like John 10:30, or ! John 5:7, you lose a lot of the grandeur and mystery that is our God, that many of your fellow brothers and sisters enjoy, but that doesn't mean you're not saved.

AS to the Immaculate Conception, let's be clear, it refers NOT to Jesus' conception, but that of MARY'S. The Catholics also teach that Joseph and Mary never consummated their marriage after Jesus' birth; that He had no brothers, of the flesh, only cousins; that Mary and Joseph were members of a sect that prevented this. Further, Mary, according to Catholic belief was born without original sin, which is why she's called, even today, the Blessed Virgin. But all this is extra-biblical; meaning, there is no scripture to support it. (I know all this because this is what I learned in Father NcDevett's Freshman Old-Testament Class... no, I wasn't a Catholic, it just so happened my parents felt Montgomery Catholic High School was a better choice educationally than was George Washington Carver High School -- [Note: The Military was famous for bussing its children to the worst school it the school district... at least in the late-seventies]).

The Catholic church, further, has done us all a disservice, doctrinally speaking: It changed the sabbath; it changed the day we worship; it changed our calendar from lunar-centric to solar-centric. The Papacy has given us Indulgences, Confessionals, Absolutions, like 'Hail Mary's' and 'Our Father's' in lieu of actual repentance, and doctrines like Transubstantion. The Papacy has given us the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION, and SACRAMENTS that save, rather than Jesus. It has given us a new Mediatrix in Mary, who must intercede for us to her Son Jesus who is angry at man for rejecting and crucifying Him; that's why they pray to her, and call her the Queen of Heaven,

I can understand your confusion, but you need to divorce yourself of these erroneous teachings and cling to the teachings of the Apostles... not the Popes. Study to show thyself approved ... rightly dividing the word of truth, and do this Berean-like, accepting nothing you've been taught at face value. Throw away your Catholic Bible.

God says in Isaiah 1:18, "Come now, and let us reason together..." He wants you to employ reason and logic (keeping in mind that, of course, some things defy human logic! You'll never understand it all here on Earth!), and accept the truths HE shows you on faith.

Lastly, be of good cheer, Jesus has overcome the world, and dare I say, all your objections! If you've ever felt His wooing, if you've ever relied on Him for your salvation, take Jude 1:24-25 to heart, and rest in this doxology.... "Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen."

Did you catch that last part? "To the ONLY wise GOD our SAVIOUR..." There's that pesky "If you've seen me, you have seen the Father" thing! A Binary at the very least!

BE at peace brother, but make sure your calling! Time is short.

    4. For Mark, (Part II)

Thus far we see G-D the Father and Jesus inhabiting the high and holy place. Please turn your Bible to (Luke 24:49) where you will find Jesus testifying in His own words to the One we know as the Holy Spirit,

"And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you."

Those are RED LETTERS so you can be assured they are true! Straight from the mouth of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself.

Now you have a quick snap-shot of the Trinity. Father, Son, Holy Spirit. Three in one. If you're not quite sure of that fact, turn your Bibles to (Zechariah 14:9),

And the LORD will be king over all the earth. On that day the LORD will be one and his name one.

I HIGHLY recommend reading all of Zechariah 14 as it is specifically prophetic to the purpose and pages of UNSEALED! A magnificent picture of the LORD's coming is painted here! An excellent point to prayerfully study and meditate upon.

There are so many places that point to the Divinity of Jesus. Too many to mention here, so I will pick one for your consideration. Who better to get it from than from the Father Himself? Open your Bible to (Mark 1:11) [check-out all of those ones!],

And a voice came from heaven, "You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased."

Here we see that G-D the Father Himself calls Jesus of Nazareth as HIS SON. By Jewish tradition the son is co-equal to his father thus Jesus is co-equal to His Father. Jesus is G-D. That's why the Jewish leaders of the day were so mad with Jesus. He kept telling them that G-D was His Father. That was blasphemy to them, but (sadly) because they were blind and could not see.

Skip a couple of verses up in Mark to (Mark 1:8) and the cousin of Jesus (that's John the Baptist) testifies as to who the Christ is,

"I have baptized you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit."

If you've been following me this far, then you know I've already given you the scriptural reference for the giving of the Holy Spirit which was the conception of the Church! We call that day the Feast of Weeks or simply Pentecost.

So yes, Jesus is divine. More than that, Jesus is fully G-D! Need a reference? Open your Bible to (Revelation 1:17-18),

"Fear not, I am the first and the last, and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades."

What a dead giveaway! If the RED LETTERS didn't give it away, then who else died and rose again to be quoted in such a way? These RED LETTERS were spoken by the Lord Jesus Himself; but this time in His Revelation to John while the Apostle was imprisoned on the island of Patmos. Once again, a direct quote from G-D Himself telling us who He is!

Jesus is more than divine, He is G-D!

    5. For Mark, (Part III)

Now open your Bible to (Revelation 21:5-7) and tell me who is speaking?

5 And he who was seated on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." Also he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true." 6 And he said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. 7 The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son."

Thank you Lord Jesus for giving your life for me! Thank you for paying the eternal price for my rebellion and sin! Thank you for sending us your Holy Spirit that we may know you and love you! Thank you for breaking the chains of sin and forever removing the curtain between us and the Father! My inheritance in Christ is too wonderful to fathom! Too glorious to comprehend! I am amazed and humbled at your beauty, splendour and awesome power!

Mark, I hope this is of help to you and encourages you to devour your Bible like a starving man at an all you can eat buffet! Fill yourself to the full and NEVER BE AFRAID TO ASK QUESTIONS OF YOUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS!

I would HIGHLY recommend connecting with a discipling church or a mentor who will guide you in your walk with Christ. Pray about all of these things and don't stop praying! Your life will never be the same!

Glory to G-D in the highest!

      Grace and peace to you,

      Pastor Rich

PS> It is customary in Judaism is not use God's name. Instead they commonly use "G-D" or an equivalent expression that translates as "The Name". This is done to show reverence to His Holy Name and treat it with proper respect.

And now you know, the REST of the story!

      Delete
    6. PPS> I almost forgot! You may be wondering why personal pronouns referring to G-D are not capitalized. As much as I personally prefer to see them capitalized, they are not in many translations because original Hebrew and Greek texts didn't use them. Scripture was originally written in all caps as it were. Capitalizing the personal pronouns of G-D are a modern translational construct.

    8. Mark,

I'm glad you returned and received the message of love we have for you. G-D has a plan for you. Never be afraid to ask the BIG questions of Him. Find a quiet place where you can just be present. A place where you can come to Father in prayer, alone in your own thoughts. Ponder these things and wait and listen for what the Spirit has to say. Patiently wait and listen.

Prayerful meditation, deeply thinking and visualizing the truths of G-D set a stage for greater encounter. By centring your heart on His love, if even for the most basic of blessings like each living breath you take, you open yourself to greater encounters with the Holy Spirit.

Jesus told us to pray this way. Open your Bible to (Matthew 6:5-8). He instructs us to:

      1. Make special time to pray in peace
      2. Make special time to pray in solitude
      3. Expect to encounter G-D in your special place
      4. Pray from the centre of your heart sharing your angers, fears, joys, needs and sorrows.
      5. Pray knowing that your Father knows what you need, and that you have need, and that He will answer you openly what you ask from your heart.

To quote our Brother Paul (1 Thessalonians 5:16-17),

16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

This is VERY important so don't miss it!

      1. REJOICE ALWAYS
      2. PRAY CONSTANTLY
      3. LIVE THANKFULLY

"FOR THIS IS THE WILL OF GOD IN CHRIST JESUS FOR YOU!" [emphasis mine]

If you dig on that scripture to a greater degree, you will see that it too has specific relevance to this site and these pages. The Apostle Paul is writing to the Church in Thessalonica on the coming Day. (1 Thessalonians 5:1-28) In his letter you will see something very important. You will see that the end will come like a "thief in the night".

Never forget, however, he is talking about those who say, "Peace and safety!" Paul is talking about those people that are not looking, those that are unaware, those who sleep securely in their own beds and live according to their own strength. They are the very ones upon which destruction will come without warning. But us? See (1 Thessalonians 5:4-5) We are not to live in darkness that the Day would overtake us. We are children of light!

The cornerstone of our faith is Christ. In Christ alone our hope is found. He is our Light, our Strength our Solid Ground.

I would encourage you to get into some quiet and private time with our Father. Jesus did! Connect with Him in your heart not by performing a ritual or by offering repetitive prayers, but out of the honesty and openness of your heart.

Just be present and expect to meet Him exactly as He said He would.

Remember, we all have things to let go of. That's why we call it "our walk" with Christ. For as you go this way and walk this trail, you will find that you are on a path that is EXACTLY TWO-FEET WIDE. ONE LEFT FOOT. ONE RIGHT FOOT.

      The feet of Christ!

Commit yourself to daily time in the Word. Pray before, during and after your time with G-D. Create a quiet space to ponder and prayerfully meditate on these things. Make that your priority, even *your* first fruit of the day. This is the most personal of things. This is your gift to the LORD G-D. This is private and between you and Him. Nobody else. It is Holy and it is your right by the power of Christ. Remember, the curtain was torn from top to bottom. You are welcome to enter His Court. You are welcome in His Sanctuary.

      (Psalm 96:1-13)

Grace and peace to you brother!

  6. Yes, I agree, many signs are converging.
We are still in the last days of the Church Age. Lost people are still being saved.
Watch for Great Deception, which Jesus describes: "many will come in my name, saying 'I am Christ' and will deceive many." This will indicate that the Church Age has ended and we are now in the Beginning of Sorrows. Do not be deceived.
    Followed by:
    Red horse of war
    Black horse of economic collapse/famine
Pale horse of Death (1/4 of earth's population will die)
5th Seal - Great Persecution of Church
6th Seal - 144,000 Jews saved - - NOW is the time for the Rapture/harpazo

    1. The opening of the 7th Seal brings the "Wrath" of God.
1 Thessalonians 5:9 - "God has not appointed us to wrath." Therefore we will be gone before the 7th Seal is opened.
Look how many times Revelation talks about the Wrath of God. THE WRATH OF GOD IS NOT FOR THE CHURCH TO EXPERIENCE.

      Re: Nate or really, "Nathan"

The name fell into my mind instantly. Remember Nathan from the Bible? You know the one who was sent by the LORD to rebuke King David for his sin.

The story is 2 Samuel 12 but specifically, look at the first part of verse 11: This is what the LORD says: 'Out of your own household I am going to bring calamity on you.'

Like the LORD expected much of King David to keep His commands, the LORD expected much of the USA, but the USA has...

May we stay true to the Lord Jesus Christ, stay strong in our faith/belief in Him, keep His commandments and remain close to Him as we see 'the' Day Approaching.

  9. Mark - Regarding the third Person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit, first note that the Lord Jesus said, "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you", (Jn 14:26). And "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one", (1 Jn 5:7), not to mention that "...ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his", (Romans 8:9). It should not be a mystery, nature shows you three in one, for instance the egg, what about water? He is the I AM, meaning He is what He is and will do what He pleases. Our job is to agree with Him. Search the Scriptures, and while you're at it, ask for a heart that is willing to hear what it actually says. It interprets itself. The reason for so many discrepancies and splits among believers is because we hold so tightly to what we 'believe', without being willing to submit it back to the Lord for any needed corrections. This puts God in a box of our own making...a box full of holes, I might add. He will lead you and guide you into all truth as you humble yourself before Him. May you desire truth in the inward parts.

    2. Wonderful thanks Richard. Looking at the latest, it looks like this is the worst in Californian history in terms of numbers of deaths and second worst (so far) in terms of structures destroyed. Is that the way you read it?

    3. sorry missed the top line of the stats. Currently sitting in second place for deaths and third for number of structures destroyed. We will wait and see what the next few days bring. Considering the trends with the hurricanes etc, I wouldnt be surprised if it 'ends up' being the most devastating.

  14. Some pinpoints worthy of study for this week offered from Hebcal,

    Shmini Atzeret / שמיני עצרת

Shemini Atzeret (שמיני עצרת - "the Eighth [day] of Assembly") is a Jewish holiday. It is celebrated on the 22nd day of the Hebrew month of Tishrei (first month of calendar). In the Diaspora, an additional day is celebrated, the second day being separately referred to as Simchat Torah. In Israel and Reform Judaism, the holidays of Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah are combined into a single day and the names are used interchangeably.

Shmini Atzeret begins at sundown on Wed, 11 October 2017.

Simchat Torah / ערב שמחת תורה

Simchat Torah or Simḥath Torah (also Simkhes Toreh, Hebrew: שִׂמְחַת תורָה, lit., "Rejoicing with/of the Torah,") is a celebration marking the conclusion of the annual cycle of public Torah readings, and the beginning of a new cycle. Simchat Torah is a component of the Biblical Jewish holiday of Shemini Atzeret ("Eighth Day of Assembly"), which follows immediately after the festival of Sukkot in the month of Tishrei (mid-September to early October on the Gregorian calendar).

Simchat Torah begins at sundown on Thu, 12 October 2017.

For those of us who are not familiar with Jewish tradition and observances, I highly recommend delving into the appointed days as they are physical representations of spiritual realm. Judaism approaches the spiritual through involvement with the physical. Thus the Eighth Day Assembly is as though G-D invited us to stay one more day after the Feast of Tabernacles. Simchat Torah celebrates the end of Scripture reading for the year. A completion of all of the Torah readings and a new year of reading to begin.

Recommended for your study as to our Hebrew roots in faith and the symbolism G-D created in telling His story through His people Israel. As you study, seek connections to the Christ. Dig for the most precious of stones!

    Grace and peace to you,

The Spirit and the Bride say, "Come." And let the one who hears say, "Come." And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price. (Revelation 22:17 ESV)

  15. Right now people are considering the Feast of Tabernacles mainly because it's the last feast. But the reason the rapture has not happened is because the cleansing period, as many thought, is not 7 days but 40 days. We should have not counted 40 days from the solar eclipsed which is a different matter, but counted 40 days from the birth which occurred on September 9th to arrive at the actual day the rapture could very well take place on. Watch the video that explains this in more details. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8q6fR1ZwcQ

    1. Hi Vincent,

The cleansing period you speak of, is a consideration but not for the male child. He is subject to circumcision on the eighth day per (Leviticus 12:3 NKJV) while the mother is a different matter.

She will be unclean for a period of seven-days (Leviticus 12:2 NKJV) and she shall continue in the blood purification for 33-days. (Leviticus 12:4 NKJV)

This is specific to birthing male children.

Glad you're thinking of these things but remember (Revelation 12:5-6 NKJV)

5 She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne. 6 Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days. (Revelation 12:5-6 NKJV)

Verse six clearly shows the new mother as not being party to the Rapture. The days of her protection in the wilderness correspond (I believe) to the final 3-1/2 years of the Time of Jacob's Trouble. (Tribulation)

There are several articles on this site for who was born on 9/10-September and who the male child of (Revelation 12:5) is.

I have not yet seen your link but will check that out after church tonight!

      Grace and peace to you!

      Pastor Rich
