Death Toll From Islamist Attack In Egypt Now Exceeds 300

In one of the largest single terror attacks in modern Middle East history, over 300 Sufi Muslims were killed when approximately 30 Islamic terrorists carried out a coordinated attack on the al Rawdah Sufi mosque in Egypt.  Among the dead are at least 27 children.

The attack bears striking similarities to other ISIS or ISIS-affiliated attacks, although the group has not yet claimed responsibility.  Some are suggesting this might have been the deadliest terror attack in Egyptian history and there is little doubt from geopolitical commentators that the attack will further cement the growing Egyptian-Israeli-Saudi Arabian axis as a bulwark against both radical Sunni Islam and the creeping influence of Shia Iran.

I've never seen circumstances so ripe for a peace agreement in the Middle East.  Egyptian and Saudi Arabian leaders are growing weary of the political instability in the region and weary of the insecurity and threats from the more radical elements of their religion.  They finally recognize that Israel poses no threat and that making peace with the country will only better their own security and influence.

There is no doubt in my mind that this attack will provide further impetus for Egypt and Saudi Arabia to pressure the Palestinian Authority to agree to Trump's peace plan once unveiled this year or early next year.

  1. I just read, earlier this morning, a report from a Muslim conference in Virginia - yes, the good ol' USA. The conference was attended by a reporter who had infiltrated the group and the bottom line insistence by the Pakistani Imam speaking, Rafiq Khan, “They are ignorant and there is no need for dialogue with them, God has given them two options, one is the holy book and one is the stick [Force] and if one does not accept the holy book they have to be forced." Until Americans understand this is the REAL teaching of Islam we are in jeopardy to face the fate Europe now faces. There are many in our own government who see this as their opportunity to use Islam to silence those of us who insist on our pesky "rights". Even a cursory study of those American Scholars who have studied Islam in depth such as Dr. David Woods at Acts17Apologetics You Tube channel will show you clearly from their own Qur'an and Hadiths the intent. The intent as stated above is to either require compliance with "the book" voluntarily or be forced. The attack Gary has highlighted in Egypt is Muslim on Muslim because one group does not believe the other is following the Qur'an correctly. Do you have any question what would occur should they gain the majority they are seeking the USA. The Egyptian attack will look like a tea party on Sunday afternoon in comparison. Look at Europe, look at the Middle East - this is what unrestricted immigration brings. Are you okay with that? I am not. Blessings - Sherry

    1. Sherry, fully agreed. And speaking with Alan Horvath recent video message ("Walking in the word" #28) you 'cannot help someone who doesn't call for help' so I even refrain from praying for such persons. In the light of Acts 17:26-27 immigration isn't some necessary concept supported by God. People should respect the borders of their countries and search God in their homeland where God planned them to be born (Psalm 139) . Even so, an immigrant always STAYED a foreigner if not living in his home country BUT there should always be ONE LAW for the Israelites and the foreigner living among them. Well, all these biblical principles have been thrown over board completely long ago. No wonder people have much trouble now. I will not dig deeper into this as I know that the gospel has been spread in the whole middle East even FIRST so there's no need for me to deal with these people now. There are many Christians living in the Middle East who need our prayers mire as they are family. Those Muslim idolators are not family. If they do not SEARCH for Jesus but bowing down to their false moon idol deliberately I'm done with them all. No offense. Blessings, sister! :)

    2. Oh, I wanted to add sth: the only persons among these Muslims I do pray for are their little children who I'd love to see coming with us in the rapture. Also, if they're killed by ISIS murderers or others. They will be the saints God still collects into His kingdom. The little ones. Matthew 18:1-7

    3. Jesus told us to pray for our enemies... My prayer for them is that they would turn from the ways of Mohammed to the ways of Jesus and Paul. Since their ideology already includes Jesus as a prophet and an epitome of perfection who will judge the world... they are a step closer than others to believing the Gospel. I read an article that many immigrants coming to Europe are wanting to convert to Christianity, now that they are in a place that won't kill them for it... How many hidden Christians are out there among them? God knows...

    4. Kris....Exsctly. When I read comments such as you reacted to, I try to ask myself..."What would Jesus have done?"
You know....that simple question almost ALWAYS steers me the correct direction.

    5. God made all men in His image so we can mourn anyone senselessly murdered in cold blood. Only because they too were made in God's image,

    6. Those of you jumping on the anti-Muslim bandwagon... Take a good hard look at that blood spilled on the floor in the picture. And look again. That is the blood of Christian Martyrs. Yes someone mistakenly switched the pictures. And those Saints are now in the presence of Almighty God. Be very careful when you jump to conclusions that "those Muslims deserve it". In this particular case "those Muslims" are actually Saints who shed their blood for Jesus Christ. Would that I had their courage and faith!

  3. A mosque? Since when does a mosque have an image of a crucified Christ on the wall?

    1. Even if they are not our brethren in Christ, should we not be concerned when a religious group is attacked like this? If anything, we may gain more respect for Christ by helping and praying for them in spite of our differences...

  4. MBS just referred to Iran's Supreme Leader as "Hitler". I have never heard of a Muslim referring to another Muslim as Hitler. A new day is dawning in the Middle East.

    1. Muslims are ever worshipping Hitler, didnt you know that? The book "Mein Kampf" is a Bestseller in Arab countries.

  5. I believe the mosque where the attack happened is where a group of Sufi Muslims worshipped. Sufism is a sect of Islam and considered to be heretical by more 'mainstream' Shia and Sunni. In the Sufi belief system, there is a respect for Jesus because of His example of love and perfection. Perhaps that was the catalyst for the attack by other Muslims.

    1. I listened to Amir's latest update at Behold Israel and he said the Sufi's are more peaceful and family oriented ... There were 24 children also killed. Amir said they bring them to their services. Also, that the Salifi (misspelled) are more militant. There were 30-40 terrorists of this Salifi group that attacked the Sufi.

    3. I agree with Chris Richter and Patricia Randall - It LOOKS more like a Christian church than a mosque! ..... BUT, it is not! Looks can be deceiving. According to CNN, the New York Times, and the Egypt Daily News it was the Al-Rowda Mosque that was bombed. That is where the Sufi Muslims worshipped.

The Hindu News (thehindu.com) says this:
"Arabiya news channel and some local sources said some of the worshippers were Sufis, who hardliners such as IS regard as apostates because they revere saints and shrines, which for Islamists is tantamount to idolatry."

That's why there are paintings of Christ in the background. If you go to Wikipedia and search for "sufi" you will find their beliefs include the reverence of Jesus as a perfect example of love. That DOES NOT mean they are Christians or the mosque was really a church. The victims were Sufi Muslims worshipping in a Islamic Mosque.

    5. Hi Rebellio - Thanks for the info on the photo. It should not have been used if it's from a different terrorist attack. It is misleading. Thank you for checking it out.

  7. For a muslim mohammad is the ideal example according to the quran 33:21: "He demonstrated good examples in all aspects of life, Allah says: 'You have indeed in the Apostle of Allah a beautiful pattern of (conduct) for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Final Day and who engages much in the praise of Allah.'" So as long as that same quran says in sura 9:73 "O Prophet, fight against the disbelievers and the hypocrites and be harsh upon them. And their refuge is Hell, and wretched is the destination." muslims will ALLWAYS kill each other because they have to….

    1. This hostile behaviour among Muslims (against their "brethren") is already prophecied in the bible for the descendants of Ishmael, so I was never surprise of that. It's just confirmation of bible TRUTH Genesis 16:12 .

  8. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJa9cKyEqOg&t=1s This IMCTC = Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition , A newly formed coalition to counter Terrorism among the Arab Nations.

Recently, Saudi Arabia had their 'Arab NATO' meeting to address this troubling issue.

I am not sure how this will play for the Daniel 9 :27 , but this is huge move calling Islamic nations to agree with one another and then later, in the appointed time, Israel will have their agreement with the Arab world. Who will be the person to initiate this...we all stay tuned and keep watching.

    1. Ryan, I agree this is a huge move that MBS has made. The Crown Prince means business from conducting an anti-corruption purge in his own country, to this unprecedented anti-terrorism meeting of Muslim countries to promising Israel billions if they will help. At the very least, I believe he will let the incredible Israeli AirForce use Saudi airspace to get to Iran. The shoe is on the proverbial other foot now. The Sunni Gulf States are scared to death of Iran and the Israelis know how to blow up nuclear reactors. They did in Iraq in 1981 and in Syria in 2007. They are uniquely qualified and I also believe the horrific terrorist attack in Egypt will hasten the peace deal.

  9. I also think there is a great opportunity for Muslims to embrace Christianity in these last days. They believe that Jesus was a prophet and they also believe that prophets cannot lie. Well, Jesus said, "I am the Son of God."
