Prophecy & Political News Roundup

A lot has happened in the past few days:

1. A devastating 7.5 magnitude earthquake struck right in the heart of Papua New Guinea on Sunday causing massive devastation and killing over 30 people.  Sadly, the death toll is expected to rise as many more are injured and still others missing.  The quake triggered staggeringly massive landslides:

2. President Trump has won two important court battles.  In Jennings v. Rodriguez on Tuesday, the Supreme Court reversed a 9th Circuit ruling in a 5-3 decision that allows non-citizen immigrants to be detained indefinitely.  And in California, Hispanic U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel ruled that environmental rules can be waived allowing Trump's border wall plans to proceed.

3. On Wednesday, the body of Billy Graham was laid in honor in the U.S. Capitol Building Rotunda.  He was only the fourth private citizen to ever lie in honor at the Capitol, and the first since Rosa Parks in 2005.  I don't think Graham was a perfect man (as obviously none of us are) and neither do I think his theology was perfect (as none of ours is), but I believe that he understood the gospel and a lot of those coming out of the woodwork now against him, I think, at least in some instances, are misconstruing what he believed and taught.  You can make anyone sound like a heretic by selectively taking a few sentences out of context, but I'm interested in what someone consistently taught over a lifetime.  Graham categorically denied the false accusation of universalism (see here) and while I personally disagree with some of his teachings and methods, universalism and inclusivism are not the same thing.

Universalism (not to be confused with Universal Reconciliation "U.R.") teaches that there are many paths to God and that Jesus is not the only way.  Universalism is a pagan, false, and heretical belief.  Inclusivism emphatically teaches that Jesus is the only way to Heaven and it upholds historic Christian beliefs, however, it teaches that Jesus will save even some who had never heard of the gospel (still only because of His atoning death on the Cross).  1 Peter 3:18–20 and Romans 2:1–16 are often offered in defense of inclusivism and it appears that Graham may have been open to this belief, however, in his 2013 book co-authored with his son Franklin, he seemed to be much more exclusivist in his leanings.

It is important to challenge heresy and defend God's Word, but it is also important to understand what it is you're attacking or else you might be guilty of bearing false witness and falsely accusing.  Graham preached the gospel of salvation through Christ alone to literally tens of millions of people and I will not be the judge of his heart (see Rom. 10:5–13).

I've never met an Evangelical Christian (at least that I'm aware of) that is a pure exclusivist.  Pure exclusivism, by definition, would mean that all babies, mentally handicapped, and Old Testament saints would not be saved.  A good discussion on this can be found on GotQuestions.org.

4. By a single vote margin, the Israeli Knesset voted to bar supermarkets and businesses from being open on the Sabbath day.  The new law also grants the Israeli government power to override municipal laws that would allow work and entertainment on the Sabbath.  It is continuing evidence that the Orthodox Jewish community is growing rapidly in the country and is successfully reverting the nation back to its ancient, biblical customs.

5. In another amazing 70 year / generational marker, Prince William will be visiting Israel, becoming the first British royal to ever make an official visit to the country.  His visit will happen this summer, not long after Israel's 70th anniversary.

  1. Thank you, Gary, for your Biblically-based defense of Billy Graham. My heart has been so heavy these past few days, as I have read all of the “goin’ to hell in a hand basket” remarks regarding his salvation. People better be careful and pull the log out of their own eyes before trying to pull the speck out of his...

    1. Thank you, Gary. Most excellent! I echo Robyn's thoughts. Some of the vile comments made about BG from fellow "Christians" have been very disappointing. I think we need to remember how important LOVE is (1 Cor. 13) when we make comments on these blogs.

    2. I completely agree! Gary, I am most thankful for your fair, balanced and God fearing assessment of BG. I, also, have been absolutely heart broken over how easily 'Christians' are willing to smear and destroy the reputation of their fellow brothers and sisters. God alone knows the hearts and motivations of men, and we best be careful to think too highly of ourselves. It is sobering to think that we will be accountable for every careless (and destructive) word spoken. (Perhaps there is a reason God gave us two ears and one mouth :) I am so thankful that God alone is my judge, and not men. Plus I figure there aren't enough hours in the day to be worrying about the 'faults' of others, when being prayerfully concerned about my own is a full time employment!! ... God bless you - and thank you for your articles that are always so timely, helpful and edifying. ~Hege

  5. Gary, thank you for delivering some fresh info/roundup for our eyes this morning and a new place we can all pig-pile on with comments & fellowship, amen! I am wondering, lately, if, as the accelerating birth pangs increase, that their mention by TPTB news sources will likewise decrease to suppress awareness (?) and these spots amongst our Watcher community become more important and encouraging then ever. 6. Fyi... There have been 78 more 4.5 and up earthquakes centralized in close proximity in Papua New Guinea since the 7.5 earthquake on 2/25/2018 (79 total counting the 7.5)... pretty devastating. I have never seen that many, of that magnitude, in such close proximity, in such a short time (only 4 days). Yikes...

    1. Braxton Hicks contractions maybe?

      Delete
    2. Brent, I think that's a perfect analogy. You don't mind if I borrow it, do you? :)

The prophetic "foreshocks" that are grabbing our attention can be best likened to Braxton Hicks contractions. Real labor has not started yet (by "real labor," I mean the biblical definition of the time of Jacob's trouble -- Isa. 66:7).

Whenever we in the prophecy world use the phrase "birth pangs," this tends to confuse things a bit. It is my contention that something like Braxton Hicks would better describe what's going on leading up to the actual start of the Tribulation [Labor].The phrase "birth pangs" indicates that labor has already begun (cf. Matt. 24:8).

      Delete
    3. Jeff, very good point. As we work to decode infinite mysteries, mayhem and metaphors this very real differentiation between the 2 types of 'birth pangs' is a subtle point which I haven't seen much attention given, directly. Now I wonder if there are subtle word differences, in the original language, where 'labor pains' are referred to in Scripture? We've been at this birthing thing for over 5k years now so the language used 'back in THE day' likely had subtle differences to separate the BH's from the 'real thing' during delivery. Would be an interesting deep dive for someone with a GOOD understanding of the original language to chase after, perhaps. Maranatha!

    4. Interesting conversation here... Jeff and I have talked about this before and I agree with applying the birth pang terminology to the Tribulation itself, but I'm frequently guilty of carelessness with using those words.

Especially in light of all we discovered about the Revelation 12 Sign and the woman in labor imagery in the Bible, and the male child—THE CHURCH—being born BEFORE labor.

  10. I realize my post will likely not get through any more but one last time I will show you something you need to understand. There is a link between the Gospel of John and the Book of Revelations... The link has to do with the number 153 in the Gospel of John and the number 666 in Revelations. Both numbers are sums of Pythagorean triangles. Pythagoras 450 year prior to Christ stood on a wharf and was challenged to prove his theorem of displacement...he was able to prove his theorem by using it to calculate that the vessel afloat before him contained 153 fish. John included the 153 fish caught by the disciples in his Gospel in order to leave a clue behind for those who read Revelations. That clue is 666 is a Pythagorean triangle. One man has sought to lead the world into a new value system based on carbon. That mans name is Gore. A gore is a horn, blood of murder and, it is a triangle. He would have it that no man shall buy or sell save he that hath the signifier of all life...ie...carbon.

You cannot repudiate the mathematical fact that 666 and 153 reference Pythagoras.

God bless you all.! See you at the feast of the Lamb.

    1. I do not profess to be a Prophetess, but I have had a very few dreams which I know to be from the Lord. One was particularly memorable and related to The Spirit of 153. It occurred about 2 years ago and I was not allowed to recall the details, though I saw them unfold in the dream. Things occurred, both good and bad, and I was told this must happen according to The Spirit of 153. Obviously, I found the full net of 153 fish, but not much more and so I've continued to pray and wonder. Within the last few months I've noted Dan Matson's work showing the number sequencing of 153 days, years, months in his charts and felt perhaps it was as a confirmation for his work which I follow carefully. Now, I'm not so sure. There may be more we are yet to understand about this. Just throwing it out there with Izaates comment above and Gary and Jimboni below. I'll also pass the thoughts on along to Dan as well. Blessings to All - Sherry

    2. Hey Sherry: I too am a student of Dan Matson's charts. Yesterday I posted on another site an idea...

I have analyzed myself into a corner. Looking for an exit.
I think most agree there will be 7 years of tribulation for Israel. I know some believe we are already in it. We are not. Well...that is to say I don't believe that. I want to personally witness my Lamb take the 7 sealed scroll from the hand of the Father like John did. He is redeeming me. I want to see it. John, a type of the Church, saw it. So, perhaps, will we.

I wonder if God's objective during the tribulation would be to deal with and focus on Israel for 7 years, without the Church being on earth! (We are a distraction aren't we?) I see it as His plan to have Israel go through 7 (perfection or completion) full Feast Seasons, all 7, and all in a row because they are prophetic, AND, all without the Church present. God will use those for His Glory. AC will hate it and want to change the times and seasons. If that is going to be accomplished, it is possible that the Church must be removed PRIOR TO, not on the day of, but PRIOR TO the occurrence of Passover on April 1, 2018. Israel will finally be a witness to assist in the creation of that body of believers, the post-trib saints.

      1) Since Passover occurs on a Sunday, this year, (according to at least a couple calendars) and if Sunday, being a "first day of the week" is a requirement for a rapture (I know there are others who do not see Sunday as being a required resurrection day, but, be glad, because then you are not in a corner like I am) we don't have many Sunday's left before the Feast of Passover... in fact, only one, Sunday, March 25, 2018.

      2) Jesus said the rapture would be "unexpected" and to many, this means at least not on a feast day. For me, another thing this might imply is Jesus saying, "Yes Dennis, yes Daniel Matson, I have seen your counts and charts and they are beautiful...well Dan's are, and they give truth, I am proud of you for the way you have been looking. BUT...I am not bound by a day count as day counts simply serve Me, I do not serve them, but My sheep should see this stuff, it's great!!!"

As I consider this, if it is a true that the Church must be removed before the Feasts begin at Passover, then I have analyzed myself into a corner because there remains, before Passover, only one 1st day of the week left and that is Sunday, March 25.

      Delete
    3. Hmmm. Not a feast day, that's good. 1st day of the week, that's good. A rapture a week before Passover? Maybe that is the way to begin to reach Israel and Israel, on its own, can have a complete compendium of the Feasts of the Lord for 7 complete cycles. The 49th Feast would be Tabernacles 2024. Then the harvest of Tabernacles.

Steve Fletcher indicates that this date of March 25 could be actually the day that Lazarus was raised. We know it was early in Nisan. Could be. Wouldn't that be a kick to be around Lazarus at the resurrection and rapture when he asks, "OK, Wait! What date is it?" And he is told Nisan 6. And he goes, "Glory to my Lord! Again?!?"

Further, according to an interesting calendar being called the Enochian Calendar, if the vernal equinox was actually to be the date of the New Year in Israel, Nisan 1, and applying that to the date of the vernal equinox according to the Enoch calendar, there is an interesting parallel with the very first creation week, such that this Nisan 6, the very first Nisan 6, the sixth day of creation, was the day that God used, towards the last part thereof (well after a bunch of other animals and of course, Eve had to appear), to create a perfectly righteous, Adam and Eve. Well, Nisan 6 is Sunday, March 25, 2018 and well, let's see.

I'm learning. I am glad for all these counts because I learned so much by studying them with Scripture. But, now I learn God is not bound by counts but He is bound by types and patterns because He can never act in any way against His character and types and patterns show His character.

Been a day for thinking. Be encouraged! Blessings Saints. Soon we rise and shine.
Here was what I had posted earlier in the day about the Enochian Calendar and the pattern of the first week of creation. I am trying to compare the days of the first week of Creation, in Genesis, with the days of this New Year of 2018 that just began as indicated in the article below. I am not sure what to conclude, if anything, except that whenever I see a Pentecost season closure clue or count that ends on a Sunday (the first day of the week which some, like me, consider to be a type for resurrections) I tend to want to look at it more in depth.

“The spring equinox is Tuesday: 6 things to know about the first day of spring... https://www.vox.com/…/2…/3/19/.../spring-equinox-2018-vernal
2 days ago - The vernal equinox is upon us: On Tuesday, March 20, both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres will experience an equal amount of daylight. For those of us here in the Northern Hemisphere, it marks the beginning of spring, with daylight hours continuing to lengthen until the summer solstice in June.”

Since, apparently, Tuesday, March 20 started a new year, might be Nisan 1, we might look at the first time God created a new year, I mean a brand new year, the dates, for Nisan, may have been as follows and there was for each day of creation indicated, a prophetic picture of a millennium represented by that day, in which millennium there was a particular focus on the “man of the millennium.” Consider this…

Nisan 1 – Tuesday, March 20 – The day of light & dark Adam 1000
      Nisan 2 – Wednesday, March 21 – Water separation Noah 2000
      Nisan 3 – Thursday, March 22 – Land and vegetation Abraham 3000
Nisan 4 – Friday, March 23 - Sun, moon and stars David to Jesus 4000
Nisan 5 – Saturday, March 24 - Birds in air and fish in sea Disciples/Apostles 5000
Nisan 6 – Sunday, March 25 - Perfect man and wife created Jesus & Bride 6000

So, on Day 6 Adam and Eve were created and they were perfect. Is this a pattern? Is the sixth day of the new year the day for creating perfect man? I am wondering now if this is giving an indication of what might occur on Day 6 of this year if this is in fact the beginning of that new year in which the Church is called home and the tribulation perhaps begins.

      Delete
    4. Day 6 works out to Sunday, March 25, and as that is, on the Gregorian Calendar, a 1st day of the week, a potential “resurrection Sunday” and is also the day on the Gregorian Calendar when we celebrate the day of palm branches when Christ, on the day of visitation, appeared to Israel, on a donkey, the foal of a colt, Z99, on the day that was exactly 173,880 days (69x7x360) from the issuance of a decree by Artexerxes Longimanus in the spring of 444B.C. on Nisan 1 as recorded in Nehemiah 2.

Maybe if Nisan 6 is His new "day of visitation" then when He appears this time, He won’t need to cry. He will find faith. There will be a tumult at the throne. A tumult of unbridled happiness and joy. He won't need to cry. The Second Adam and His bride could be together again perhaps on Day 6.

Just an idea with a very short half-life. So keep your eyes open.
Blessings Saints. Soon we rise and shine.

  12. Jeff and Brent, you sound like Ob/Gyn physician’s debating Braxton Hicks contractions versus true early labor! Very good analogy. All kidding aside, as an Ob/Gyn and Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician myself it is often very difficult to discern the difference in clinical practice and often can only be done in retrospect; ie, false labor versus early latent phase of labor. Likewise, in the prophetic realm the identical dilemma might be applicable?

  13. Putin has overseen the rebuilding of over 20,000 churches destroyed during the soviet era and has funded the construction of over 7000 new churches for communities across Russia as well in his time at the helm. Russia is a Christian nation. Let that sink in. Russians are mostly Orthodox Christians. They are the descendants of the Greek shaggy goat (Constantinople) Daniel 8. That goat had two horns. One older than the first. The first horn was Rome. The second Constantinople. Orthodox Constantinople engendered Moscow and the Russian Orthodox faith as it successor. Russia was the foundation of the Soviet empire. It collapsed. Russia reemerged from that alliance smaller and weaker than it once was but it is back in prophecy in Daniel 8. It alongside its alliance partners (4) will defeat the King of the South. The King of the South has placed his tents between the holy mountain and the sea. The holy mountain is in the entity called Israel.

  14. I tried posting this question/observation yesterday on the Prophecy discussion board but it doesn’t appear to have uploaded for some reason. I was watching the Steven Spielberg movie “Lincoln” the other day and I noted that it will be 153 years, this year, since the end of the Civil War (April 09, 1865) and Lincoln’s assassination (April 15, 1865). I have only been perusing the Watchmen’s various websites since September of last year, or thereabouts. In that time, I have noted that the number 153 bears some prophetical connotations and that many consider the U.S. to be an Israel archetype or embodiment of the Gentiles. I was wondering if the 153 anniversary of either of these two dates could possibly be considered to be the ‘fullness of the Gentiles” as described in Romans 11:25. Any thoughts?

The more I study and pray the more I feel uncertain. There is a huuuge dichotomy in the latter day prophets very similar to the vast chasm in interpretations of Daniel 24 as I have outlined in previous posts. There are so many self proclaimed spirit-filled prophets that say USA is destined for massive revival and prosperity eg Mark Taylor and so many others on Elijah List. Yet there are just as many or more that also claim to be Spirit filled and state that the complete judgement and destruction of USA is imminent. How do we reconcile these vast differences. I know that God told us about Latter Day prophets in both Joel and Acts. But who do we believe? I’ve been studying eschatology for 50 years and leaning into the Word and praying to Holy Spirit to guide me but the more I pray and study the more confusing it is to me personally. I am praying for all of you and the entire Body of Christ. The Spirit and the Bride say come Jesus, come. Stay close to Jesus. Stay filled with the Holy Spirit.

    4. LifeSeeker316: I couldn’t have said it better. Just yesterday while talking on the phone to a dear Christian friend, I said the very same words— the more I study His Word and listen/read from all my go-to Christian websites and You Tube videos, the more confused I become. I know our Father is not a god of chaos or confusion, so I pray for discernment from the Holy Spirit constantly. The good news is that the confusion is in non-Salvific issues only; there is no confusion in His gospel of Salvation— I know I’m saved! (In addition, the confusing issues just keep me studying, which is to His glory!) So take comfort in the fact that you are not alone in your concerns... God bless you and us all.

      Delete
    5. The confusion you feel is not from God. In the bible, everything is put very simple (always!). So if you ask 'may there be a spiritual revival in the US?' read Luke 18:8 b) and if you ask 'will there be judgement of the US?' read Revelation 17-18. Just THAT simple. Don't feel confused but BELIEVE what you read. Then you will get better discernment of events and persons ("prophets"). MARANATHA!

The BIG trouble is when people hang on to their words from the Lord...and they turn out wrong...this causes Christianity to be doubted, and ends up being a point in Satan's column as different views all coming from the Lord can't be all from the Lord, and the wrong ones end up actually evangelizing against Christ.

A secular mind can clearly see world conditions are declining rapidly in all areas, and in my opinion, all these prophets selling books that end up wrong are just a tool of the devil. It gives the secular world more proof to them that Christianity is false. That to me is very sad. We have to be extremely careful what we say is from God, and constantly pray for enlightenment and discernment from the scriptures.

I personally can't fathom the idea that while thousands upon thousands of Christians around the world are being persecuted for their faith, many dying for it, and somehow we get a pass from receiving severe trials ourselves.

I am not a prophet, never have heard God's voice audibly, but He can speak to each one of us through His word. We have some very challenging times ahead as our side of the world is not exempt from trials like we see fellow Christians experiencing daily in horrific numbers. Time will tell. I pray we all receive a very high level of enlightenment and discernment in the months ahead to be able to endure what I feel is coming.

  20. Pretty much anyone on earth can see the world is in decline it doesnt take a rocket scientist , or college degree or even a diploma to see that ! I may not agree with you about Mark Taylor and his prosperity preaching prophecy but thats just how I feel , and everyone is entitled to their own thoughts and feelings , I do agree that when they are wrong it makes christianity look false from the secular world . I hace allways been a firm believer in staying in the scripture and praying for discernment always ! As far as our brothers and sisters who are being persecuted and killed around the world that is all part of bible prophecy and it is sad and breaks my heart , many of us live day to day struggling as not all of us are as fortunate as others and all we can do is push forward stay in the word and pray daily and know that things are only going to get worse day by day but we all know that our savior strengthens us and comfort one another with these words ! 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

  21. Here's something to ponder considering exclusivism and specifically babies and those without the mental capacity to understand salvation.
The scripture is clear that we are all born into sin, born with a sin nature so even The Unborn have sin in their hearts even though they have no capacity to sin. Any Godly parent can recognize the sin nature coming out in their infant or toddler. We all inherit the sin nature from our parents down through the generations but it is impossible for an individual to inherit guilt. Guilt is willfully sinning against God. It is not our sin nature that condemns us it's our guilt and if somebody has not the capacity to willfully sin against God they are not guilty of sin even though they may be sitting e.g. The Unborn, infants, toddlers, and those without the mental capacity to willfully sin against God. I hold it to the belief that those people cannot be held accountable for their sin and therefore will be saved from Eternal destruction.

Does anybody have any thoughts about this?

    1. Isaiah, I definitely share this belief. It is fully scriptural: Matthew 11:25 / 19:14 / 21:15-16 these are Jesus' own words about this topic. It is called "(age of) accountability" I think. There will ALL the living babies, toddlers and mental disabled (but not all of just physical disabled of course!) be gone with us in the rapture. Blessings to you! MARANATHA :)

    2. I forgot the Unborn: well, if the mother is unsaved, the baby will be born into Tribulation but perhaps be killed and thus saved (Matthew 24:19 but 2 Samuel 12:23). If it survives, at under 7 years most are still considered a child. Think of all the aborted children too, Heaven will be full of those little saints! (Job 3:16-17)

  22. Isaiah, as a physician who treats fetuses in the womb I completely agree with your assessments above.

  23. This is from Breaking Israel News: "U.S. President Donald Trump’s Israel-Palestinian peace plan will call for an independent Palestinian state with eastern Jerusalem as its capital, the London-based Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper reported Wednesday.

A French diplomat told the Arabic-language daily that the Trump administration is expected to reveal its peace plan at an upcoming international conference in Cairo.

The report says that under Trump’s peace plan, the United States will recognize an independent Palestinian state with eastern Jerusalem as its capital on condition that the disputed old city, home to sites holy to Judaism, Christianity and Islam, is administered by an international custodian."

  24. Gary and others....possible significant prophetic connection between death of Billy Graham and a connection to Jews and Moses death?

    Raptureready article:

    https://www.charismamag.com/life/women/36052-anne-graham-lotz-reveals-the-stunning-prophetic-significance-of-billy-graham-s-death-date

    To summarize...

    1. Jews scripturally remember Moses death on the same day Billy died 2/21
    2. Both Billy and Moses brought "millions out bondage" .
    3. Joshua (means Jesus in the NT) immediately began the process of delivering the jews into the promise land.
    4. The process took 7 years.."The Book of Joshua describes the seven years of conquest and seven years of settlement of the Land of Israel. After the land is conquered is divided into separate tribal portions via a divinely guided lottery. The Book of Joshua also describes the Biblical boundaries of the Land Of Israel."
    5. "Joshua has clear instructions from God that if the Canaanites don't get out, the Jews must wipe them out, because if they remain in the land they are going to corrupt the Jews. It is made clear that the Canaanites are extremely immoral and idolatrous people and the Jews cannot live with them as
    neighbors."

Is this the 7 year tribulation? Is what's happening today paralleling what happened in book of Joshua? Would love others who have more biblical knowledge than I to expound on this ....thx.
