Just like Lot and Noah and their families escaped God's wrath his plan for the end of the church age is for his children to escape his wrath via the rapture of the church revealed by Paul in scripture in Corinthians and Thessalonians. You turned right, and now you cannot ever go back to turn left at that specific moment ever again. Time travel into the past is not possible, by all of the known laws of physics. (Time travel in the future is not only possible, but very real from a theoretical stance, but theory is all that it will ever be, given our natural restrictions and shortened time left.)

In my opinion, this is exactly why specific dates are not given for most specific events in the Bible. It’s also why many events have a double or triple fulfillment, for example. When it comes to prophecy, God makes sure that every single prediction can be seen and understood coherently by all, no matter where or when they were born. His words do not ever contradict themselves, and that’s why we see the echoes of separate people and events throughout the Scripture. This is the heart of the “substance and shadow” argument that Gregg pointed to earlier. But even more impressive, is that each and every echo can become a clue to the next fulfillment. The layering and the possibility for change become almost like forces of nature, shaping His narrative. Over and over, again.

And it gets crazier still, because this perfect chart of Prophetic Fulfillment doesn’t just use a set of “vaguer” and “vaguer” words to accomplish this multi-generational and universal truth. It doesn’t just use generalization to avoid specificity. It’s also an INTERACTIVE chart.

Wasn’t this true when Moses struck the rock? God knew what would happen, but allowed Moses to make his choice, and choose his reward or punishment. Yet God simultaneously had a vision for what the future would look like regardless of what Moses would choose. And His words never erred.

Wasn’t it true that Jonah, himself, caused the fish to swallow him? God sent the fish because Jonah chose poorly. Had Jonah obeyed, the fish would not have been necessary . . . and yet . . . the fish became instrumental to the story of Jesus and his 3 days in the belly, proving that God has every facet covered. Every jot and tittle. He never predestines us, but always outmaneuvers us. What if Jonah had refused a second time? It wouldn’t have mattered, because God would have used that prophetically as well.

“How could we ever have missed it?” will be the wrong question to ask after the Rapture. We’ll be saying, “Wow, that fits perfectly!” . . . regardless of our road taken.

The picture is complex, but when it comes to the Rapture, I think that we throw shade on some of God's Gospel brilliance just a little bit, each and every time that we don't admit that OUR role affects the story. Our understanding changes, and in a very real way, so has the date of the Rapture, itself.

This is another reason why I believe that you can't establish the Rapture date perfectly before its time, or at least not without God’s counsel. Because it will be the perfect time at all times. Hence the imminence. Hence the necessity to watch. Hence the need for prayer and call to revival, even if such a revival won’t happen before the Bride’s departure.

Jeremy
unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17666840426906843965noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923571518579487836.post-42616299987643237442021-07-14T10:04:59.208-05:002021-07-14T10:04:59.208-05:00Regarding the Sign of Jonah, I think that we are c...Regarding the Sign of Jonah, I think that we are climbing a mountain that never existed when Jesus spoke those words. Imagine this for a moment. God lives outside time. He sees the End from the Beginning. And He KNOWS that Jesus will be rejected. Most of us agree on that. But this is a fact . . . 20/20 vision is not always better. We often lose our perspective and try to understand the past with the knowledge of the future, and you simply can't do that. We sometimes forget the basic truth that God's word is spoken TRULY to every generation along the way, but it doesn’t always infer the same meaning to every generation . . . and that’s one area where we come close to falling off the Proverbial cliff. Another intended pun.

Friends, think about this. If Adam had not followed Eve into sin, would Jesus have come? Maybe. Maybe not. It would have been POSSIBLE still, but maybe not REQUIRED? And all of the Bible's teachings would've been understood by us very differently, no? Maybe the Bible would have been much shorter! Or maybe the plot would've changed, and the Bible would've gone an entirely new direction. We can’t see the possibilities that God had open at the beginning. We can only guess that they would still have hinted at fallibility and redemption. But the words would've found perfect fulfillment to all those who read them along the way, and at every time.

That's one of the most amazing parts of Bible Prophecy! It is literally an unfolding path full of checkpoints along a race that never needed to be run, and we sinners might possibly have been Saved, Redeemed, Rescued, Changed, etc. at any number of points along the way. Just as each book of the Bible was an unfolding story with a single purpose. And with each missed opportunity came necessary prophecy and a change in perspective. Yet the words covered them all literally.

Everything could have stopped at the Original Sin if Adam and Eve had obeyed, and the Bible would have been accurate at that time. Everything could have stopped at the First Coming if the Jews had listened, and the Bible would have been accurate at THAT time. And yet God knew that it would take the 6,000 years . . . so he wove the tapestry more intricately.

We see this with the story of the Israelites as well. At any number of points along their journey, they could've been brought to their peace in a Promised Land, but they continued to rebel, and the story went on, as their God knew that they would. But they were still given the choices, and that means that the option was still available. Our Father does not give the mirage of choice! Likewise, when Jesus talked about the Sign of Jonah, I think it's FAR simpler to just admit that He was referring to His upcoming 3 days and nights in the Earth. Period. That sign was ignored, and the story continued for those living in the first century AD.

Let me shift gears for a moment. Have you ever watched one of those sci-fi movies where someone goes back in time and changes the smallest thing, leading to a demonstrably different future timeline? Yeah, you have.

Now imagine this. Our God is so great that His words apply equally to every single human being, on every part of the globe, in every single moment in time . . . always and forever and everywhere. I mean, “WOW!”

In the sci-fi shows, they’ll try to make up parallel universes to explain away the myriad possible choices. You turn right at the stop light, and the universe goes that way. You turn left, and the universe unfolds in a radically different way. Over and over. And according to some of them, somewhere out there are an infinite number of universes where each choice was made differently. But we know better, as rational and intelligent beings!

(continued below)
unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17666840426906843965noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923571518579487836.post-63117145429336972582021-07-13T22:39:01.898-05:002021-07-13T22:39:01.898-05:00IT WAS ALL FOR THE JEWS
The story-line of the Bib...IT WAS ALL FOR THE JEWS

The story-line of the Bible flows in one continuous stream, and it’s all about the Jews. Jesus came as Messiah to the Jews, who rejected Him, so He’s coming again, for the Jews, in vengeance to drive them back to Him.

The end times is about that time.

None of this has anything to do with the Church! Jesus did not come for the Church the first time, and He’s not coming for the Church when He returns.

The Church is the body of new creatures in Christ created to fulfill God’s Word of salvation which was made void by the Jews rejection of the Messiah.

God’s covenant with the Jews is a National Covenant, which is on going to this day and promises citizenship in His Kingdom on earth.

The covenant with the Church is an individual covenant, offered to everyone, based upon a personal trusting relationship with God and sustained by Faith. For that faith, the promise is a heavenly citizenship, and rulership in the Kingdom on earth.

By it’s individual nature, Gods Word of salvation returned fulfilled the instant the first person uttered his acceptance.

It was years after the Pentecost of Acts 2, that the mystery of the Church, which had been hidden in the mind of God, was revealed to Paul. It was then that God knew that His Word was void with the Jews, and that a substitute was needed to return it fulfilled.

Paul founded and taught the first converts in the New Testament Church. They were no longer Jew or Gentile, but new creatures in Christ, with a destiny. And, he taught extensively about the end of the covenant at the Rapture. He knew that it would happen in the time when the Jews were saying peace and safety, and that sudden destruction would hit them like a thief in the night because they weren’t watching.

He said that those who are watching and see those days come to pass will see it because they are the children of the day and the light, and that they were not appointed unto the wrath that will drive the Jews back to God and their Messiah.

In fact, Paul taught that their sudden destruction could not happen until the substitutes were taken out of the way, and that would happen in the end times, and the timing for the end times was sealed by God in the prophecy of Daniel.

So what Jesus taught the Jews, and what Paul taught the Church is to watch for the events of the prophecy of Daniel to appear on the stage of history. When you see them, know that your redemption draweth nigh.
Gregghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17369169562087504802noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923571518579487836.post-89350879552327778482021-07-13T20:20:04.222-05:002021-07-13T20:20:04.222-05:00We know that when you make a choice in the real wo...
We know that when you make a choice in the real world, all that really happens is the removal of the choices not made. A year, or more or if you think about this year 2021?Maranatha321...https://www.blogger.com/profile/18427436624966130335noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923571518579487836.post-66392713569800347232021-07-10T13:52:50.849-05:002021-07-10T13:52:50.849-05:00Sorry Gregg for 2 posts but I thought the first po...Sorry Gregg for 2 posts but I thought the first post didn't show up and wrote a second.Maranatha321...https://www.blogger.com/profile/18427436624966130335noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923571518579487836.post-65152379357039982072021-07-10T10:12:57.852-05:002021-07-10T10:12:57.852-05:00At https://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?r...At https://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=4821 "Biblical Prophecies To Prepare For Now!":

"1. Russia is presently working with Iran on the construction of two more reactors in this area, Bushehr 2, which is to be completed in 2024, and Bushehr 3 to be finished in 2026. This nuclear disaster creates a humanitarian crisis that causes millions of Iranian exiles to leave the affected territory. It doesn't matte...rjmgoose and Maranatha321...

It doesn't matter what we think but what does the Prophecy's and scripture reveal!

For example: Before May 14, 1948 Daniel is sealed up and popular thought was who is the atichrist from Hitler to Mussolini to Kennedy and so on. What they should have been looking for was Israel becoming a nation which means The Jews can have an ending to there covenant.

The part that doesn't make sense in Pauls 1 Thessalonians letter 4:016 :and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

But put into proper context (read it a few times) Paul is referencing something else and especially a time delay with the word "Then".

Paul starts off with 1 Thessalonians 3:013 ...at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

And further down 4:013-15 ...concerning them which are asleep,..them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him...shall not prevent them which are asleep.

And finally 5:010 ...whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

Thats just the sign Paul told us to be watching for to know and warn others about that our redemption is 40 days away!

Why does this piece of scripture have relevance now?
Because it was intended for the generation that it was intended for!
Gregghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17369169562087504802noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923571518579487836.post-82294102184304611212021-07-09T19:29:42.873-05:002021-07-09T19:29:42.873-05:00Greetings Gregg! Since we have not yet seen or heard of the dead in Christ who had their resurrection while walking around Jerusalem, it seems to me that it will be a long time before the rapture takes place. Still, I can't wait to leave here for the kingdom of heaven, our home. What do you think about this? I would like to have your thoughts on this period for the rapture if you want.
