Prophecy revisited

Isaiah 17(NASB)
Prophecy about Damascus
The oracle concerning Damascus.“Behold, Damascus is about to be removed from being a city
And will become a fallen ruin.
2 “The cities of Aroer are forsaken;
They will be for flocks to lie down in,
And there will be no one to frighten them.
3 “The fortified city will disappear from Ephraim,
And sovereignty from DamascusAnd the remnant of Aram;
They will be like the glory of the sons of Israel,”
Declares the Lord of hosts.
4 Now in that day the glory of Jacob will fade,
And the fatness of his flesh will become lean.
5 It will be even like the reaper gathering the standing grain,
As his arm harvests the ears,
Or it will be like one gleaning ears of grain
In the valley of Rephaim.
6 Yet gleanings will be left in it like the shaking of an olive tree,
Two or three olives on the topmost bough,
Four or five on the branches of a fruitful tree,
Declares the Lord, the God of Israel.
7 In that day man will have regard for his Maker
And his eyes will look to the Holy One of Israel.
8 He will not have regard for the altars, the work of his hands,
Nor will he look to that which his fingers have made,
Even the Asherim and incense stands.
9 In that day their strong cities will be like forsaken places in the forest,
Or like branches which they abandoned before the sons of Israel;
And the land will be a desolation.
10 For you have forgotten the God of your salvation
And have not remembered the rock of your refuge.
Therefore you plant delightful plants
And set them with vine slips of a strange god.
11 In the day that you plant it you carefully fence it in,
And in the morning you bring your seed to blossom;
But the harvest will be a heap
In a day of sickliness and incurable pain.
12 Alas, the uproar of many peoples
Who roar like the roaring of the seas,
And the rumbling of nations
Who rush on like the rumbling of mighty waters!
13 The nations rumble on like the rumbling of many waters,
But He will rebuke them and they will flee far away,
And be chased like chaff in the mountains before the wind,
Or like whirling dust before a gale.
14 At evening time, behold, there is terror!Before morning they are no more.Such will be the portion of those who plunder us
And the lot of those who pillage us.
Isaiah 17 tells us about the destruction of Damascus.   The capital city of Syria.  It is gone in a day.

If you've look at any news at all you know there has been civil war in Syria for sometime.  President Assad has fled and Damascus is one bombed out berg.

Still the Syria army fights on.  Now the Jordanian army is launching attacks against refugees in neighboring Jordan.  Jordanian attacks

Syria's massive stock pile of chemical and biological weapons, including a massive supply received from Iraq are stored all over the country...Anthrax, Ricin, Biotoxin, Sarin, Plague, Smallbox, Cholera, Camelpox an others...wiki

How much longer can Syria survive, before it is destroyed from within?  If so, how soon until the Isaiah 17 prophecy is fulfilled.

How long until Israel attacks.  Hezbollah and Hamas have tens of thousands of rockets aimed at Israel from within Syria and Lebanon.

Which takes us to Psalms 83

Psalm 83 (NASB)
God Implored to Confound His Enemies.
A Song, a Psalm of Asaph.
O God, do not remain quiet;
Do not be silent and, O God, do not be still.
2 For behold, Your enemies make an uproar,
And those who hate You have exalted themselves.
3 They make shrewd plans against Your people,
And conspire together against Your treasured ones.
4 They have said, “Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation,
That the name of Israel be remembered no more.”
5 For they have conspired together with one mind;
Against You they make a covenant:
6 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites,
Moab and the Hagrites;
7 Gebal and Ammon and Amalek,
Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8 Assyria also has joined with them;
They have become a help to the children of Lot. Selah.
9 Deal with them as with Midian,
As with Sisera and Jabin at the torrent of Kishon,
10 Who were destroyed at En-dor,
Who became as dung for the ground.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb
And all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
12 Who said, “Let us possess for ourselves
The pastures of God.”
13 O my God, make them like the whirling dust,
Like chaff before the wind.
14 Like fire that burns the forest
And like a flame that sets the mountains on fire,
15 So pursue them with Your tempest
And terrify them with Your storm.
16 Fill their faces with dishonor,
That they may seek Your name, O Lord.
17 Let them be ashamed and dismayed forever,
And let them be humiliated and perish,
18 That they may know that You alone, whose name is the Lord,
Are the Most High over all the earth.
In Psalms 83 we see Lebanon and Jordan.  Tyre is in Lebanon.  The rest are in Jordan.

It is only 55 miles from Damascus, Syria to Beirut, Lebanon.

Netanyahu ready to attack

China warns against attacking Iran

It appears Netanyahu is ready to attack Iran, but he will first get attack from Jordan and will have to take out all of his neighbors.  This is of course a guess, but regardless of the scenario, something appears ready to pop.
