The First Trimester Is Over
For those of us watching the upcoming Revelation 12 Sign on September 23rd, today marks an important milestone: the first trimester is over. Exactly six months remain until the heavenly sign seemingly appears over Jerusalem. I don't know if the rapture will occur on that exact day, but I personally believe through my own study of Scripture that this large and intricate sign is pointing the Church to the nearness of the last trumpet sounding and also to the proximity of the Tribulation. It won't take long to see if all this speculation is bunk or not.
As the Day draws nearer, it seems that prophetic knowledge is greatly increasing and the pieces are finally fitting together. There isn't just one person and his "disciples" seeing it as was the case with the Millerites in the 1800s or Harold Camping in 2011. There are numerous teachers all with their own ministries saying nearly the same thing, arriving at basically the same conclusions from their own personal study of Scripture - the rapture is upon us:
Jaco Prinsloo (South Africa)
The Cutting Edge (Australia)
And of course several of the contributors here on Unsealed.
There are many more watchmen who acknowledge the significance of the September 23rd sign, though they don't necessarily connect it with the nearness of the rapture.
I've been studying prophecy for over a decade, and very seriously for about 8 years and I've never seen anything like this. It's rare to even get two prophecy teachers to agree on specific current events and their significance - much less more than a dozen.
Will the Church know the time-frame of the rapture?
The sign of the woman is THE ULTIMATE SIGN of the nearness of the rapture and the Tribulation and is found all throughout Scripture (Genesis 3:15, Micah 5:3, Isaiah 26:17-21, Isaiah 66:7-9, Matthew 24:8, Mark 13:8, John 16:19-23, Gal. 4:26-27, 1 Thess. 5:3, Revelation 12:1-5):
Read with me now Luke 21:25-28 and then my cross-references (in red):
Luke 21:25 - There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.
Revelation 12:1 - A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head.
Luke 21:26 - People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.
Revelation 12:7-9, 12 - Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him... Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.
Luke 21:27 - At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 - For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
Luke 21:28 - When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.
1 Thessalonians 5:4-11 - But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
