The Ultimate Gamble

Everyone ultimately has to make a decision: will they trust themselves and their understanding or will they trust God and His.  This choice isn't just for unbelievers, but for those who call themselves "Christian", as well.  For very, very soon those who have placed their faith in themselves and their works and abilities will discover whether that was a wise or foolish decision.  As for me, I have nothing to boast or glory in save the Cross of Christ.  I'm staking everything - my life, my soul, and my future on Jesus Christ and Him alone.  I'm taking the gamble that His blood and righteousness are sufficient for me and that trusting in anything else, including my works, will soil my spotless garments.  I believe He freely gave me these garments of His own volition and grace and there is nothing I can do to receive them or maintain their purity save accept them through faith alone.  These garments have been made white in the blood of the Lamb.  Not by my blood nor by my works nor by anything that is mine - only by my Savior.

  1. There is no gamble when you have placed your faith in Jesus Christ our Lord, the Only begotten Son of God. The wise man built his house upon the Rock. I stand firm upon the Word of God. I believe every word that proceedeth from the mouth of God and lean not to my own understanding. I and all of my brothers and sisters in Christ are safe in His arms! Maranatha

    3. Jesus arrives at the end of the 1260 Day Great Tribulation. There is no 7 Yr Tribulation (Daniels's 70th Week is 7 Days) or pre-Tribulation Rapture; He raises, the 2 Witnesses (Seth's Enoch and Elijah), the dead and living in the Wedding Party (Rev 19:7) at the "Last Trumpet" after the 2nd Woe! 1 Day before He arrives. Don't be fooled by false prophets or false hopes.

    4. Howard, denying the rapture is denying scripture. Trying to claim the 70th week isn't a 7 year period with a 3.5 year Great Tribulation is just denying a mountain of scripture.

No offense, but I find your post to be a gross misinterpretation or misstatement of God's word.

    5. Barry....it is no use trying to reason with Howard. His only reason to be on this site is to argue. The unreasonable are also unteachable as well. He is not about what is true of our Lord's words but an agenda. He spouts the same off the wall ignorant nonsense in other Forums to try and get a response.

  4. I take these 3 months yet to come to prepare for leaving this world. I don't mean anything by works with that. I know I'm safe in Christ, nothing left to do about it. Br. Steve Sewell mentioned it in some of his videos that knowing about Rev12-sign and expecting FoT 2017 to be departure date is like having got death diagnosis from the doctor; the difference is that it is in fact LIFE diagnosis. You can now choose to be afraid and to cling to this world like Lots wife but we are as Christians not suppose to do so (Luke 17,32). Or you can start to anticipate and rejoice in the vivid reality of meeting the LORD Jesus Christ now soon. I am currently thinking of how worldlings react to death diagnosis usually: they want to press any kind of event and experience yet missing to them into the rest of their days left. Be it some base jump, an expensive restaurant, a holiday trip or meeting relatives to say goodbye. But what kind of event or experience could ever exceed the kind of life and the restored (and new) earth a Christian will soon be facing? What or whom could we miss yet on this earth? Honestly saying with Paul: far better is to be with Christ (Philippians 1,23). Right?

    1. I expect the Lord anytime. The next three months more so as no one expects Him to come during this period, many are probably turning their attention from the spring holidays and all the scripture that hinted at us leaving early, towards the Rev 12 sign later this year. We're on His timetable after all, and there is still those words about cutting the time short for the elect, lest no flesh would survive...

We just have to wait and see and be patient. Though the vision tarry, wait for it, for it will not tarry is the verse coming to mind...

    2. @ Kris Garrison: there was a time I thought about it like you do because everybody taught imminency. But I changed my mind because of 2017 fulfillment of Rev12-sign now combined with the definite day and hour given in 1 Corinthians 15,52. This is Gods calendar, not mine. Blessings to you!

    3. The Lord has me praying for lost family, friends, enemies...everyone. I am reading Andrew Murray school of Prayer and war room prayer book. Preparing for a fast. This is the time to pray like you never have before. Intercession is vital. Let's join with Jesus to bring in the lost sheep.

    4. Well said, Annabel!!! It is so exciting to think about what our very near future reality with Christ is going to be like!!! My bags are packed and I'm ready to go home! There is nothing left for me in this world.

    5. I've been praying for everyone as well!

    6. @Anabel : I worry that getting caught up in that date will have the same result as all the previous dates... If it comes and goes, there will be a lot of confusion and disappointment... and possibly a great falling away... There is also the temptation to 'do as ye will' all the way up to that date and then try to clean up at the last minute. By staying with immanency, we try to live each day as best as we can, always watching and expecting our Lord's arrival.

I just don't see reaching September without something happening... Everything seems to be set up right now...

    7. Annabel "I take these 3 months yet to come to prepare for leaving this world."
You got that right sister! I agree with all that you said! My brother and I have discussed this whole coming event and try not to get over excited. We've known for decades this event was on the horizone, but not until last July 8th did I read an article on Daily Crow where he discussed this. I was not not even looking for anything like this, but when I found out I made sure to do my "due diligence" research before telling others. You are correct There is NOTHING here worth sticking around for as things keep getting worse and worse. I've enjoyed reading your comments and you are a LADY OF THE WORD! God bless and I'll see you all, hopefully, in a 83 days!
Glory to God this excites me!

    8. Amen. I especially like the reference to Lot's wife. Good reminder for those who don't want to leave this world 'yet'. We are overjoyed at the upcoming day of departure, and want all our friends and family to be the same. To God be the glory.

    9. Annabel, reading your comment brought me to tears....of joy!

Things are really heating up down here right now. I don't know about what any of you all are experiencing in recent days but it seems the enemy is working overtime to upset me and my loved ones. Just let me encourage you all....Yeshua is soooooo awesome! HE of course is using this for my good! I've learned a few things from all this and have surrendered more to my Savior. I just continue to dwell in my bridal chamber awaiting my Groom.

Be of good cheer, we are going home soon. As Annabel stated...there is NOTHING for me in this world! Maranatha! Get ready for a party like no other!

  6. Pastor Sandy Armstrong (Soldiers For Christ Community Church) has been mentioned in the comments here at Unsealed a few times. His church has a youtube channel, I watched several of his teachings. I’ve learned some very interesting things listening to him! However, what I soon noticed is that Pastor Sandy is also holding a strong anti-eternal security (and performance based) stance; he is refuting the notion of eternal security in his teachings. (He even mentioned that he gets “protesting” emails at times where people try to defend “Once Saved Always Saved”.) I just need to say that I simply don’t understand that phenomenon! I mean, I find and listen to people like Pastor Sandy who seem gifted and it seems to me that the Holy Spirit is leading them and I don’t understand how they maintain the anti-eternal security stance and promoting legalistic/performance based views! (Please don’t get me wrong, I’m not passing judgment on Pastor Sandy or others, neither condemning nor smearing them, that’s not my intention at all!)

    1. The issue of eternal security is a doctrine so fundamental and basic that we must take issue with anyone who wavers in the least, especially someone who has a teaching platform. At stake is the very gospel itself. There is a reason why Gary has been prompted to post recently on defending the gospel and not tolerating false teaching.

If this man is indeed a brother, then he should be open to correction and rebuke (not condemnation). But if he won't even budge in the slightest when multiple believers are emailing him on the same topic, time after time. Then this is an issue of a stubborn and rebellious spirit. Pride which God himself opposes.

    4. Yes, that's true, no one gets it 100% right all the time but the thing is, I was quite taken aback by some of his Bible passage interpretations concerning OSAS.

    5. I think all we can do in a case when somebody wouldn’t like to listen is to pray (in many cases much prayer is required). Asking the Lord to open their eyes.

    6. @ Nora dear sister: regarding OSAS truth being attacked you have to consider the work of Satan behind. These days are so much the very last and he desperately wants to destroy our blessed hope and confidence (Hebrews 10,35) or obfuscate our plain view onto the LORD Jesus Christ (Col 3,1-2) that he even uses true brethren to support these teachings. There are true Christians out there who have perhaps been so much dissapointed by todays' hyper-grace teaching (Jude 4) that they will turn onto this legalistic way instead and confuse one false concept with the other. If Satan cannot destroy our souls BECAUSE OF OSAS TRUTH he can at least trouble THE church by bewilderment and confusion (which he is master of). Prove all things, hold fast that which is good! (1 Thess 5,21) Blessings to you!

  8. We have to trust absolutely in the Word of God. One of the first scriptures the Lord gave me when I asked Him to teach me about sickness and healing (because I'd had a miraculous healing and other, healings but not always) was 'woe to those who go down to Egypt for help'. I knew I was being told not to go to the world (spiritual Egypt) for help, and though I have been through many trials, and still am, I have been kept through His Word strengthening me.

    1. Dear Brenda, this is huge!! Praise God for your testimony! You know, my family (3 persons) had the same promises when we were saved in 2005, but it was on the financial sector (Matthew 6,33; 1 Kings 17,14) primarily. But God kept us healthy as well all the time so that we were able to work and stay independent from spiritual Egypt. We are paying our taxes into the social security (Romans 13,1) but not taking anything from it so far. It always works!! HALLELUJAH

    2. Absolutely! His word proves itself true when we trust. God bless you and your family and we continue to trust in that Word and the power that it has to bring into existence that which does not exist. HALLELUJAH!

    2. The way I understand Genesis chapters one and two is that Chapter 2 gives more detail to the creation process. For example, God created plants but on the day He created man, they hadn't sprouted yet. Then He creates man, puts in him Eden, and causes the plants to grow.

  15. Blood Red Moon, not disagreeing, isnt Scripture laid out in layers sometimes? We are given the Word and then there is more given of a particular Scripture later? I would have thought for sure that I would have seen mention of mankind creation Gen 1:26 and then Adam in other studies on Genesis...you have me so curious now. must look into this further as well...while we Waiting these observations only bring us closer to Him!
