Near the valley of Megiddo the Givot Olam Oil Exploration LP has struck oil at wells 5, 6, and 7. There is now a 90% probability of producing 2.2 million barrels from well #5 alone. A 50% probability of producing at least 10.5 million barrels from all three. There could be more than 16 million barrels at these three zones.
And in other news... Russia's Gazprom oil company will invest in a 50% stake in Israel's offshore energy reserves.
