Mountains fall down

This winter the Colorado Avalanche Information Center says the avalanches ran larger than any time in the past 20 years.  Alaska just had the largest known landslide on planet earth in the last several news.

Is that news?  Maybe not, but I suspect these kinds of events are going to get stronger and not quieter.  Let's watch and see.

----------------

What has been unusual is how large and intense the slides have been.

According to the Colorado Avalanche Information Center, several recent avalanches ran larger than any in the past 20 years.

Isaiah 40:3-8 (NASB)
A voice is calling,
“Clear the way for the Lord in the wilderness;
Make smooth in the desert a highway for our God.
“Let every valley be lifted up,
And every mountain and hill be made low;
And let the rough ground become a plain,
And the rugged terrain a broad valley;
Then the glory of the Lord will be revealed,
And all flesh will see it together;
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”
A voice says, “Call out.”
Then he answered, “What shall I call out?”
All flesh is grass, and all its loveliness is like the flower of the field.
The grass withers, the flower fades,
When the breath of the Lord blows upon it;
Surely the people are grass.
The grass withers, the flower fades,
But the word of our God stands forever.
the largest known landslide on Earth since 2010

Isaiah 2:1-2 (NASB)

The word which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

Now it will come about that
In the last days
The mountain of the house of the Lord
Will be established as the chief of the mountains,
And will be raised above the hills;
And all the nations will stream to it.

Isaiah 5:25 (NASB)

On this account the anger of the Lord has burned against His people,
And He has stretched out His hand against them and struck them down.
And the mountains quaked, and their corpses lay like refuse in the middle of the streets.
For all this His anger is not spent,
But His hand is still stretched out.

Micah 1:4 (NASB)

The mountains will melt under Him
And the valleys will be split,
Like wax before the fire,
Like water poured down a steep place.

Revelation 16:19-21 (NASB)

The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. Babylon the great was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of His fierce wrath. And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And huge hailstones, about one hundred pounds each, *came down from heaven upon men; and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, because its plague *was extremely severe.
