Yom Kippur

We've updated the countdown clock on the right to reflect the start (in Jerusalem time) of the traditional date for Yom Kippur.

Keep in mind there is some ambiguity because the new moon was sighted in Israel several days after the traditional Rosh Hashanah date of September 13th and Yom Kippur is calculated as ten days after the Feast of Trumpets.

In effect the traditional date of Yom Kippur may be correct, but it could actually begin as late as Friday evening (Jerusalem time).
