The Big "So What?" Of Revelation 12

Our friend Michael wanted to share with you some important thoughts about the Revelation 12 Sign and what it means for us.  His thoughts are below.

The Big “So What?” of Revelation 12 and September 23rd

Let me start with a question. Revelation 12, September 23rd… So, what?

The writers at Unsealed and other watchmen sites have presented scriptures, background and interpretations on just about every possible angle to consider related to the Great Sign from Revelation 12 and the coming stellar alignment on September 23rd. There has been and continues to be excellent discussion in the comments where people who are seeking answers ask for clarifications and they are consistently given sound, biblically-based responses in love as Jesus commanded in John 13:34-35. Sure, there continue to be debates in the comments about Pre-Trib vs Pre-Wrath vs Post-Trib Rapture interpretations but at this point everything has been answered as best as we are going to be able to know until after the event. Even though none of us know exactly how this will all play out, it should be clear to anyone who makes an honest effort to study the sign and review the monumental list of other “coincidences” pointing to the sign and the date that God is literally yelling at us to wake up, watch and be ready!

My spiritual gift is not prophecy like the other writers on this site. It is something else. (I’ll let you figure it out on your own.) Therefore, I won’t attempt to add to the existing and future prophetic discussions here. Let me instead address the next most important topic for watchmen and seekers to ask themselves:

So, What?

To me it is clear from the information on this and other reliable websites that the September 23rd alignment of Virgo, Leo, Sun, Moon, Jupiter and the other planets is the best possible representation of the Great Sign described in Rev 12:1-2 for a span of at least 7,000 years. I’m not saying you should accept the evidence yourself just because of what someone on a website says. Paul commands us to test everything in 1 Thessalonians 5:23. Study and test the evidence for yourself, but don’t take too long! The hour is late already.

Should you approach the truth of this Great Sign with an open mind, then let me suggest you have two questions to answer for yourself and I recommend you answer them quickly.

1. Do I believe that the stellar alignment on September 23rd above Jerusalem is the Great Sign that John prophesied in Rev 12:1-2? If so, then you accept that the result of the sign will be the Rapture of the Church, the beginning of the Tribulation or both. They may or may not happen exactly on September 23rd. If not September 23rd then they will still be happening soon.

2. If I believe it is the Great Sign, what do I need to do about it?

I’m NOT in any way suggesting that the Great Sign is a salvation event. If you have already committed your life to Jesus you do not need to do anything else to receive salvation. You do NOT need to believe that the stellar alignment on September 23rd matches the Great Sign description in Rev 12:1-2 to be saved. If you are reading this post then I expect you already know that the issue to consider is discipleship, not salvation. However, let me suggest that if you know about the Great Sign and you accept that September 23rd is the event described in the Bible then God is calling you to respond faithfully.

Of course, the next logical question is "How do I respond faithfully?" Let’s go to the Book and see what Jesus says.  Matthew 28:16-20 (NIV):

16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.'

How about that? Nothing has changed in the last 2,000 years. Jesus commanded us to both love one another and make disciples of all nations.

Then what has changed? Quite simply this: The URGENCY of the command has increased exponentially. There might be a deadline: September 23rd. Let me explain.

If September 23rd marks the Great Sign and the Great Sign indicates the Rapture of the Church, the beginning of the Tribulation or both then it is fair to say that life will change dramatically after this date.

Consider these:

How will life change when all of the true Christians around the world are suddenly snatched away in the rapture? The smallest possible effect will be a dramatic disruption in the economy of the U.S. and the world as the number of consumers substantially decrease overnight while the ability for companies to deliver products and services is thrown into chaos because millions of raptured workers are gone. More likely the U.S. and world economies quickly plunge into a deep depression as companies suffer massive losses, resulting in layoffs and high unemployment. Unfortunately, the already tight job market for highly skilled workers will become even more tight based on the assumption that at least some (if not many) of these highly skilled workers will have been raptured. Therefore, it is likely that many critical jobs go unfilled or under-filled because there simply are not enough qualified people available. This doesn’t even take into account the broader social, psychological and emotional problems created by the rapture.

Next, one of the early events of the Tribulation is prophesied to be the war of Gog and Magog where the enemies of Israel gang-up and launch a massive attack against Israel with the intent to literally annihilate the country (which is supernaturally thwarted by God). The U.S. is easily Israel’s most important ally and the primary deterrent that has prevented massive attacks against the New Jersey-sized country in the past. What would have to happen to the U.S. to transform the U.S from key ally to a country that is either politically opposed or militarily incapable of responding to a massive attack on Israel? Several scenarios run through my mind and none of them are good.

Finally, another thing that will happen shortly after the beginning of the Tribulation is the formation of the prophesied one world government, which will come into power - not to mention the one world religion. Think about it. What would have to happen for the U.S. to agree to be assimilated into a one world government? The only thing I can imagine that would cause people to agree to be assimilated is something absolutely catastrophic; whether physical destruction, financial meltdown, social meltdown or all of the above. Something will happen to the U.S. (and other countries) that causes rampant panic and desperation across the remaining population. We are not talking about a minor anxiety attack. We are talking about white knuckle, fight for survival panic and desperation. That’s the only way I can imagine those left behind giving up their freedom and independence to assimilate into a one world government. Perhaps that’s where the father of lies comes in as he sells those left behind on the idea that he is their only chance for salvation. I’m not a prophet so I don’t know it will happen. I just know that whatever it is will happen because the Bible says there will be a one world government.

Let’s get back to the “So, What?” question presented above. If you are still with me then you have likely come to agree that:

1. Revelation 12:1-2 means what it says and the stellar alignment with Virgo, Leo, the sun, the moon and the planets on September 23rd is the sign described in this Scripture.

2. The Rapture of the Church and the beginning of the Tribulation will happen somewhere around this time.

3. Life on earth will be really, really difficult after #1 and #2 happen.

4. Jesus still wants us to make disciples of all nations.

The answer to the “So, What?” question is this.

Jesus commands His followers to help save as many of the lost sheep as possible. The Good Shepherd of John 10:1-18 knows every last individual sheep by name and they know his voice. He searches for every lost sheep and there is great rejoicing when he finds one according to Matthew 18:12-14. He expects his disciples to follow his example.

Here’s what I think the goal of our efforts should be in the last days before the appearance of the sign: Go find the lost sheep. Tell them that Rev 12:1-2 shows us that time is very short. Help them to hear the voice of the Good Shepherd.

Remember that we have been given a certain responsibility and we must prove faithful.

1 Cor 4:1-2 (NIV):

1 This, then, is how you ought to regard us: as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the mysteries God has revealed. 2 Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.

Know that being faithful DOES NOT guarantee that you will be successful. What does 1 Corinthians 4:1-2 say about being successful? NOTHING, because the responsibility for success belongs to Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit. If I ever let myself count the number of people I have personally “saved” I am headed for trouble. The number of people I have personally saved is and always will be zero. Not my responsibility. My job is to share the Good News with the lost sheep. The Bible tells us there will be scoffers in the last days. Some will listen but many will scoff. Know it in advance and don’t let it burden you. Give that burden to Jesus. Shake the dust off your sandals and keep going!

2 Peter 3:3 (NIV):

Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.

Focus on planting and watering seeds. Some will accept the call from the Good Shepherd before the rapture, but many others will not. There is still hope for those who are left behind. Tribulation Saints are those who do not accept Jesus until after the Rapture. There will be plenty who do and you can do your part by planting and watering their seeds now! Trust God to make these seeds grow in the Tribulation Saints.

1 Corinthians 3:4-9 (NIV):

4 For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not mere human beings? 5 What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. 6 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. 7 So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. 8 The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. 9 For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.

Know that there are many to be reached but none of us by ourselves can reach them all. Ask the Lord for help.

Matthew 9:35-38 (NIV):

35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, 'The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.'

Finally, this was the opening hymn at my church on the Sunday (8/27) that I first taught a group of adults about the Revelation 12 Sign. It always makes me smile in awe when God drops one of these little hints in my life. I was worried about how the lesson would go that morning when the service first started. This song helped me to push through the nerves and deliver the message I feel I have been called to communicate. May it do the same for you.

God of Love and God of Power

God of love and God of power,
grant us in this burning hour
grace to ask these gifts of thee,
daring hearts and spirits free.

Refrain:
God of love and God of power,
thou hast called us for this hour.

We are not the first to be
banished by our fears from thee;
give us courage, let us hear
heaven's trumpets ringing clear.
(Refrain)

All our lives belong to thee,
thou our final loyalty;
slaves are we whene'er we share
that devotion anywhere.
(Refrain)

God of love and God of power,
make us worthy of this hour;
offering lives if it's thy will,
keeping free our spirits still.
(Refrain)

Now go forth in the name of Jesus and spread the Good News to all in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit! Amen.

  1. Great Article. Can you please post something on what we should be doing to celebrate the feats of Trumpets?! Especially for those that do not have a Church? should we find a Church to go to? what do you do while we wait on those days?

  2. Celebrate Feast of Trumpets by warning people the Great Tribulation is about to begin; if the Trumpet makes an uncertain sound, nobody prepares themselves. Celebrate Feast of Tabernacles, the real birth of Jesus the way you should all Old Covenant Holy Days; don't. Failing one jot or tittle of the Old Covenant results in failure on all aspect of the Covenant. Jesus is the New Covenant "Love God" "Love our Neighbor" is all there is.

    2. I don't know who you are anonymous but counseling anyone to ignore a Holy day commanded by God for all time.

      Leviticus 23:23–27

      The Feast of Trumpets

23 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 24 “Speak to the people of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall observe a day of solemn rest, a memorial proclaimed with blast of trumpets, a holy convocation. 25 You shall not do any ordinary work, and you shall present a food offering to the Lord.”

    3. "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all." James 2:10
Gary, did you do any servile work? Did you offer a sacrifice by fire? Did you have a Shofar and blow it so all of Israel could hear? If not, you are guilty of all the law under the Old Covenant. Since this is impossible, I suggest the New Covenant where sins are washed in the blood of the Lamb. 4. We may want to distinguish between celebrating a feast day by remembering what God has done on such a day, what He will do on such a day, and the meaning of the day as it relates to the salvation plan of God is one thing. Celebrating the feast because it is following a law is different.

We should try to understand the difference. My family has enjoyed celebrating the feasts for the last 15 years, but none of it has to do with fulfilling the law. We do our thing in remembrance of a day that God has asked us to remember. It is our way of resting in Him and it is spectacular for teaching and training the kids.

    5. Anonymous – I’m not a biblical scholar by any stretch of the imagination so I celebrate the commanded feasts precisely as described in the text (minus any sacrifices). Since Jesus has already sacrificed himself for our sins there is no longer a requirement for a sin sacrifice, everything else is within our capability. Nowhere, in Leviticus 23:23–27, does God command us to do any servile work or offer a sacrifice by fire. It does say to proclaim the day with a trumpet blast, but nowhere does it say that it should be so all of Israel could hear. So, there is, as far as I can tell nothing to prevent us from keeping this Holy day as commanded by God. As a Branch grafted into the tree (Israel) we to are expected to keep those Holy days. As noted in:
Zechariah 14:16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

    6. The professional prophecy scholars are telling us we are all wrong about Rev. 12. Jan Markell, Dave Reagan, Nathan Jones, Gary Stearman, Billy Crone, Kevin Clarkson, Jimmy Bakker and their spokesmen are saying Rev. 12 sign is nothing for us to be of concern. Go back to sleep, nothing happening.

Then explain why all these sites are having huge sales and new/renewal subscription offers. K-House is having a sale never before offered in 25 years. Prophecy in the News September issue is loaded with ads of warehouse sale, subscription offers, unheard of when J.R. Church was alive. Prophecy Watchers has been offering special subscription offers for months. Could it be the books, DVDs, tape business has hit the skids!

These professionals have everything to gain and nothing to lose in dissing the Rev. 12 sign, unload inventory, reap in the bucks. Only one major name has been brave enough to not back down - Mark Biltz said in an ABC news report the eclipse of August 21st was a message/sign from God.

If you want further proof that September 23 is important get Pastor Bob's E-book. He is not selling it, he has been giving it away for almost a year. His email address is EvanTeachr@aol.com.

      God bless,
      Harvey

The Rev. 12 sign is being attacked by, not just agnostics and atheists, but the very people we have looked to for guidance on the signs of the times or the times of the signs. Where are they today, attacking the idea of Revelation 12 sign being linked with the Feast of Trumpets.

The pastor who wrote the E-book "The Season of the Rapture: God's Three-Fold Witness" gave his work to all those sites almost a year ago but they refused to believe the rest of the story on the Biblical evidence for the date of September 23, 2017.

  3. I KNOW the rapture is very soon. Yet I am surrounded by (South Florida) people who are 100% Bible scoffing mockers!! Plant seeds? WHERE? I have tried for about 5 years seeking any persons remotely interested in the Wisdom of Bible, prophecy, & the Messiah only to find the most "stoney ground" in the universe.

    1. Keep going at it. We are called to plant seeds, and it is the Holy Spirits work to convince and convict. I spoke to an atheist at the Singapore airport on the way back home about Jesus. He was scoffing at the start, but by the end he was 'sitting on the fence' with some of the stuff I was saying. Stony hearts are there to be plowed up by the word of God and the spirit of God. I wouldn't be surprised if you get to heaven (soon it seems) just to be surrounded by a 'great crowd of witnesses' some of whom may well have been saved due to your faithfulness with sharing the gospel on the stony Floridan ground. Salvations will be the greatest heavenly treasures we will ever encounter, so don't ever give up!

    2. Things are different right now Anonymous. People know the world is not right and I think the Holy Spirit has softened some hearts so they are more willing to listen. It's still not going to be easy but he key is to keep going. Remember what Paul said in Philippians 3:13-14 (NIV)

But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

      and 1 Corinthians 9:24 (NIV)

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.

Prayerfully ask for guidance if you get stuck but keep going. The time is short!

    5. Dear T&T I just looked it up at Wiki so "Irma" derives from an Old High German word "irmin" (spoken: "eermeen") which simply means GREAT. Mostly it was used as compound noun with the words for "God/ess", "people/nation" or "guard" while Irma then was used as a short form. This hurricane name simply means GREAT - well, according to its current development it WILL BE! Transatlantic Greetings YSIC :)

  4. I strongly urge caution when advising someone concerning God's law. Jesus spoke plainly when He said that He did NOT come to do away with the law or the prophets, but rather to fulfill what they had written concerning Him.

    Matthew 5:17-19

He warned against teaching anyone to set aside even the seemingly most trivial of His commands.

Personally, I would never want to go on record as advising someone to willfully ignore what God has commanded to be done and observed through His holy servants. Why risk being called least in the Kingdom of God when you could instead choose to uphold His word and be called great?

  5. Well Danny, it is impossible to live under Old Testament Law; there are no Legitimate Levite Priests, no Temple, no Holy of Holies, no Urum and Thummum, no Ark of the Covenant. Live under OT Law and Jesus profits you nothing. Jesus fulfilled every Jot and Tittle of the OT because He wrote it. The NT is "Love God" i.e. Jesus and "Love our Neighbor" Church is now in our Prayer Closet not listening to Wolves in Sheep's Clothes teaching Nicolaitane Doctrine

    1. Well Stan, regardless of what you may claim, is definitely NOT impossible to live under God's law. And by calling it "Old Testament Law" you change nothing. As Jesus plainly stated, it all remains intact--every last stroke of the pen. Period.

And regardless of whether or not there are human priests alive and at work today, there most certainly is a heavenly high priest alive and working to intercede for us with God. And He--Jesus the Christ--is what the earlier priests always represented anyway, so we are in fact much better off.

As Paul wrote, you simply do not know what you are talking about. You misrepresent Paul when you assert that his letters teach that believers should ignore God's commands concerning appointed times. Paul plainly stated that he did not at all support the breaking of God's law while somehow claiming to uphold it. As he wrote: God forbid!

As he wrote of those who claim such as thing, "...their condemnation is just."

Jesus only "profits us nothing" is we claim to be justified by keeping God's law after having broken it and that apart from Christ's sacrifice

While humbly accepting Christ's atonement for our sins, we are strongly admonished by both Jesus Christ and His apostles to not set aside God's commands in our quest to be justified.

It is true that by obeying God's law--going forward--we cannot [by obedience alone] be justified. Why? Because we have already sinned and fallen short of God's glory. Because of our personal sins, we desperatly need a Savior.

Yet receiving the gift of a savior does not justify further sin on our part.

Sin is the transgression of the law. (Read John's latter epistles.) We must not continue to sin after receiving grace.

Paul explained all of this (and I think) very clearly, thereby leaving us with no excuse if we should choose to ignore his teaching. He was clearly under the guidance of God's Holy Spirit as he wrote his letters.

By stating that it is impossible to obey God by living under His perfect law, you do greatly err. Sadly, I have encountered many who share your misguided belief over the past 30 years, so I know very well that it is most unlikely that you will be dissuaded. I only post this for others who may be unconvinced by the false gospel of "sin that grace may abound" and are still searching for the truth.

All script--the entire Bible--is profitable for our instruction in righteousness. Not just the parts that some may claim to be "New and improved." Nothing could be further from the truth, for all of the latter writings upload the former.

God does not change. And His word stands forever. If we are to be wise, we most certainly will change our behavior and strive to obey all of His word while there is still time. And the many recent signs suggest that there is precious little time.

    2. There have been 8 Covenants made between God and Man; they are proffers from God accepted by Man voluntarily: Eden Covenant, Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, New Covenant. Don't modify my words Danny. It is impossible to live any of the Covenants perfectly. If the Laws of Moses are still enforced we would all be dead in Sin. Thank Jesus, the author of all 8 Covenants for renewing the contract each time man failed to live up to the agreement.

    3. Danny, your mixture won't win any converts here. Certainly not me (Rm. 11:6).

You're right that Jesus didn't come to abolish the law, He came to fulfill it. But that is the key point - no one before Him nor after Him fulfilled the law. Only Jesus fulfilled it. Let me state that again: only Jesus fulfilled the law. He fulfilled it for you and He fulfilled it for me. The law is death to everyone (Rm. 3:20, 4:15, 7:10, 1 Cor. 15:56), because no one (you included) keeps it. And though the law was fulfilled IN Jesus, it has been abolished FOR us (Eph. 2:15, Gal. 6:15, Col. 2:14).

The Pulpit Commentary on Rm. 3:31 is excellent:

"Verse 31. - Do we then make law void through faith? God forbid: nay, we establish law. The question naturally arises after what has been said about justification being χωρὶς νόμου. Do we then make out our revealed Law, which we have accounted so holy and Divine, to be valueless? Or. rather, as the question is more generally put (νόμον being without the article, and therefore translated as above), "Do we make of none effect the whole principle of law, embodied to us in our Divine Law? Regarded erroneously as a principle of justification, the apostle might have answered. "Yes, we do." But any disparagement of it, regarded in its true light and as answering its real purpose, he meets with an indignant μὴ γένοιτο. On the contrary, he says, we establish it. Law means the declaration of righteousness, and requirement of conformity to it on the part of man. We establish this principle by our doctrine of the necessity of atonement for man's defect. We put law on its true base, and so make it the more to stand (ἰστάνομεν) by showing its office to be, not to justify - a position untenable - but to convince of sin, and so lead up to Christ (cf. Romans 7:12, etc.; Galatians 3:24). In pursuance of this thought, the apostle, in the next chapter, shows that in the Old Testament itself it is faith, and not law, which is regarded as justifying; as, in the first place and notably, in the case of Abraham; thus proving the previous assertion in Romans 3:21, Μαρτυρουμένη ὑπὸ τοῦ νόμου καὶ τῶν προφητῶν. In ch. 7. he treats the subject subjectively, analyzing the operation of law in the human soul, and so bringing out still more clearly its true meaning and purpose."

    1. Sam, you may want to get the Name straight. Alpha, I AM, I Am He (Jesus as God in Flesh), JEHOVAH (Covenant Name used to initiate the 10 Commandments also written as JAH and JESUS), Melchisedek (King of Jerusalem and Priest of the Most High), Shiloh (He whose it is), JESUS and Omega. JEHOVAH, JAH and JESUS are all equivalent Covenant Names.
HaMashaich or Moshiach is the Rabbinical name of the Antichrist (Alternative Messiah) Jesus warned would be accepted. Yeshua is equivalent with Joshua, the warrior.
You use Shalom a lot; Shalom, Salem or Shalim are all the Canaanite god of sundown/dusk worshipped in Jerusalem the great city Jesus refers to as "Spiritually, Sodom and Egypt" Rev 11:8KJV.
This matter is of grave importance, there is only one God JESUS, one Lord Jesus, one source of the Holy Ghost JESUS, one Word made Flesh Jesus; and as 1 John 5:7; John 1:1;14 state all these are one.

  9. Good Morning To all Brother and sister in our most awesome Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I live in the southern region of Africa and would just like some advise on something. I love my Lord and Savior with everything that I am. I find it difficult to arrange my thoughts when trying to speak to anybody willing to listen, I think my problem is that I'm scared that the way I explain might cause harm. Have a blessed and awesome day.

    1. Hi anon. I have been telling people about Jesus for many years ow. And you know what? It doesn't get easier in terms of trying to figure out what to say. Be bold, open your mouth, and talk to them about Jesus. "Do you know Jesus" is a good way to start a conversation. Yell them about the plans and purpose God has for their life, tell them that our sins have separated us from him. It that he sent Jesus to die on the cross as punishment for our sins. Tell them that the way to be made right with God is to confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord, repent of your pride and selfish living, and to put your trust in Jesus.

A way to help with the fear is to imagine that person spending an eternity in hell, in suffering, agony, and total separation from Christ, and them imagine that the person in hell was your father or brother, sister or mother and then step out in boldness. Some may disagree with the motivation (I have been told I'm wrong to use hell as motivation), however it sometimes is the only thing that gets me off my butt.

Finally - don't worry if the words don't come out right, or the person you are witnessing to is interrupted by the enemy. I promise you that he will make something beautiful out of every word you speak when it is done out of love for others, and to honour Jesus.

  12. Has anyone noticed that if you use time to express 923, it is 9min before or to (two) 3, or alternatively expressed as 2:51 or 51m past 2h, & therein is a possible & odd connection to the Rev 12:5 sign (or 5th vs 12th chapter). What a curious matter...?

  13. Another thing. What brought me to Jesus was to some extent my discovery of the pervasive evil (e.g. pedophilia, child sacrifice, etc) at the top levels of power and how it's connected to Satan worship. I suppose I reasoned that if such evil exists on this world, then it logically has a good counterpart, and that must be God. It was therefore easy for me at that point to make the jump into faith, since it becomes slowly clear that man needs to be saved (and a savior) from the absolutely terrible things going on behind the scenes. At least, much easier than just jumping from the consensus, scientific view of the world to suddenly having faith in some god from antiquity. I hope this strategy can be used by someone here. For example, the interview with Ronald Bernard (google 'Ronald Bernard revelations from an insider', has 4 parts) really woke me up, big time.

  15. So I'm sitting here reading about Rev 12 while my wife watches a cartoon called "Adventure Time", and I overhear one of the characters on the show oohing and awwing over a "celestial alignment". So, naturally my ears perk up and I watch the rest of the show. The face value meaning of the plot is more or less nonsensical, as it is a cartoon, but it's obvious with those with eyes to see that the plot is *blatantly* about a sign in the stars, followed by an abduction of the main character (with his dog buddy left behind on earth), then that character finding himself with God, and on and on it goes. Really spooky! "They" know!

For anyone who wants to see for themselves, here is a plot outline: http://adventuretime.wikia.com/wiki/Power_Animal , but I recommend actually watching the episode if you can find it online (it's on Hulu). Adventure Time episode "Power Animal", season 2 episode 7.

  18. There's a lot of talk about what we should be observing of the law, feasts, etc, and what we shouldn't. I suggest people just take an hour and read through the entire book of Galatians. Don't pick one verse here or there, read it as it was meant to be read originally - as a letter to Christians from Paul the Apostle, which we know to be inspired by the Holy Spirit. The letter to the Galatians was all about this topic, and has a lot of very clear answers to these questions.

Just sit down, pray that the Spirit will teach you from God's word, and then read the book of Galatians. I was amazed when I first did it at how very clear it is if I read it through in one sitting rather than only reading a single chapter or section at a time.

    God bless, everyone!

  19. I'm meeting with my children, individually, reminding them of the urgency to commit to Jesus. If my wife and I suddenly disappear, don't believe anything the news or government provides as an explanation, remember the rapture - grab a bible and don't simply give up. They'll really need the Lord at that time. Then my wife follows up with how bad those times will be and it would be much better to be ready for the rapture. They were raised in church and know the Truth, but their lives just don't reflect it.

    1. Hey Jim - what are your kids names? I'll keep them in my prayers! I have the same fears about my sisters, and maybe my mom. It keeps me up at night sometimes, knowing that they don't know/believe/live for Jesus. My sisters follow what the world says in many regards, and believe the world's definition of love and truth. I'm scared what they'll believe when the world is outright lying to them about everything (not that that isn't already the case).

    2. I have the same issue Jim. Fortunately, God provided us with the time to visit with each of them (Adam and Megan) and show them this website and explain as much as possible (in case they don't follow up with the website). Both trips were planned before I discovered this website! God is Great!

  20. I was really hoping this article would be about the 99.9% of all "Christians" who say "so what" when hearing of this prophecy. It irks me so much to share such insight with others and they just shrug their shoulders, happy in their own little fake Christianity.

    ReplyDelete
  21. John C, what exactly would you have liked to see or have learned about the 99.9% of Christians who say so what? How to approach them? How to convince them? Something else?

It's been my experience and the experience of other watchers that many people we talk to either don't get the significance of the sign or they just don't want to know. I won't consider them fake Christians because believing in the Great Sign of Rev 12 is not a salvation issue and only Jesus will knows their heart. However, I do agree that I wish more people were interested in knowing and sharing the story. If they did we could be far more effective reaching the lost.

In the end, our job is to faithfully share the Gospel and let Jesus handle everything else. Keep sharing and don't let yourself become frustrated and tempted by satan to quit!

  22. As watchers we are expected to warn. I tell people I would rather face you and admit I was wrong than face my GOD AND KING and admit I could have warned people but was not obedient to do so!

I am leaning towards the belief that the Great Sign will occur in convergence with the opening of the Sixth Seal, but how could the Rapture happen before Tribulation if that were the case? I believe the Lord directed me to the answer (that the Seven Seals are NOT part of The Tribulation), but would appreciate the viewpoint of others who have studied this, especially those who consider themselves "Pre-Wrath". 1. I have wondered if the seals are part of the Tribulation or not. When the 6th seal is opened, it says everyone on the earth from kings to generals, slaves to free all exclaim, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who is seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb, for the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?” Rev. 6:16

Makes me wonder if THAT'S when the Trib officially starts. That being said, I've seen a lot of arguments for why anywhere from 4-5 of the seals may have already been opened, so as you said, the sign COULD still be the rapture at the opening of the 6th seal.

Also, the 6th seal description sure sounds a lot like what I'd expect if a super-volcano erupted. Like the one under yellowstone that has been having a surge of earthquakes and NASA wants to drill into it to try to cool it off.......

    2. Lynn, scripture outlines the 1260 Day Great Tribulation in Rev 11, 12, 13 and Daniel. Dan 8 specifies a period of 2300 Days and Dan 9:24 a period of 70 Weeks, by my count 490 Days. 2300-1260=1040. Tax means Burden; America is burdening the world to the tune of $20T Debt + $77Trillion unfunded Liabilities such as Medicare, Gov't pensions, Social Security etc + $1Quadrillion in Derivatives (bets on valuations) It it is no coincidence America's Debt collection arm of the International Bankers is the IRS which records individual tax (burden) on Form 1040. When America is destroyed as the planned "Phoenix of the New Age" (Francis Bacon's New Atlantis: A work unfinished pub 1620) the 1260 Day Great Tribulation will begin.
Jesus opens the 7 Sealed book, releasing restraint on evil seen in the 4 Horsemen; here is how Barbara Marx Hubbard calls it "We are the riders of the Pale Horse Death; God creates, we destroy; we do this for the good of the Earth" J Robert Oppenheimer put it this way "I am Death, the destroyer of worlds" after witnessing his Chimera the Atomic Bomb detonate. The Seals are not part of the last 1260 Days, the 7 Trumpets are the last 1260 Days with the 5th Trumpet, First Woe! lasting 5 months/150 Days (Rev 9:11) and the 6th Trumpet, 2nd Woe! lasting 13 months, 1 Day, 1 Hour (Rev 9:15) and the 7th Trumpet, 3rd and final Woe! being the Rapture (Body Resurrection) of believers aka Wedding of the Lamb; the end of the "Mystery of God" (Rev 10:7). Wrath lasts 1 Hour.
The 3rd Woe! is the 313th and final ! in Authorized Scripture (KJV) in Rev 18:19 "...by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate" This is how scripture describes it; America is planned to be the Scapegoat for Rev 18:19. No other Nation is even close to America's "Costliness" i.e. Debt.

    3. Hi - yes that is one of the main things that separates pre-trib vs pre-wrath beliefs...what is known as the 'last trump'. Pre-trib believes it pertains to a FOT trumpet blast, whereas pre-wrathf (or intra-seal) believes it is at the last of the 7 trumpets between the sixth and seventh seal.

In addition to this - what is tribulation? the 70th week of Daniel is the final 7 years prior to Jesus triumphant return to Jerusalem, however scholars typically debate whether or not the entire 7 years are 'tribulation' years, and they also debate when the time of Jacobs trouble starts (7 or 3.5 years).

If you have a chance to look at foursignposts.com, Mark is one who believes that the horseman are all prior to Dans 70th week. He makes some incredibly good points regarding the middle east. Well worth reading his books.

    4. Thanks, "Unknown" and "Through and Through" for your kind replies and suggestions. Until hearing Steve Cioccolanti's teaching, I had never even entertained the idea that the 7 Seals were NOT part of the 70th Week of Daniel. Now it seems clear to me that this Feast of Trumpets could be the Rapture and that it will coincide with the opening of the Sixth Seal, thus just prior to the start of the wrath of the Lamb in Revelation 6:16-17. I guess that puts me in a weird category, huh?

I so appreciate brothers and sisters who LOVINGLY practice "iron sharpening iron". God bless you and I look forward to THE DAY whenever it is, but hopefully very soon!

    5. Search on YouTube for JNPAP - he is a pastor from Maryland that has a series of videos on the seals being in the church age and the sixth seal corresponding to the rapture and beginning of the tribulation- very well done. This would explain why no one would initially question where so many people disappeared to if there was a world wide earthquake. It would be assumed we were dead.

    6. Dear pre-wrathers, please consider the general biblical rule that 'God is not author of confusion' 1 Corinthians 14:33. Subject to that please read Revelation 14:6-12 regarding the kind of gospel preached during tribulation period. This is a completely different gospel from "Grace through faith" of today. Thus, it seems logical that God will not confuse 2 gospel messages at the same time. Rapture must be pre-trib at least from this fact. Blessings! :)

  23. I am so grateful to Gary and your ministry - it's clear that you put so much time, work and study into the articles. I am a watchman and really enjoy the great discussion on the boards with fellow watchmen. I'm not a nay-sayer, not a hater, and I believe that all the feasts point to and are fulfilled in Christ. The First four Spring feasts have already been fulfilled in order and in great precision. The next are the 3 Fall Feasts, and I believe scripture is very clear that the rapture happens at FOT. Lots of things line in, events, numbers and scriptures that make this fall very very likely. I try to look at the context, historically, grammatically and in terms of genre, who was the author and who was the audience. I have problems with the Sept alignment, because it is crystal clear that this event described in Revelation is after the two witnesses, which comes in the middle of the Trib. The entire context of this passage is horrible tribulation, death, and destruction. It's immediately after the 7 angels and 7 trumpets that bring judgement. As several prophecy writers on the discussion board have noted - The church is mentioned more than 20 times in the first three chapters of Revelation and then is not mentioned at all from Chap 4 through 19. The church is gone. I think the Sept 12 sign is significant, but I see much more scriptural precision and significance to Yom Teruah, and the Last Trumpet. I deeply value input and others' perspectives. We consistently challenge each other to look at the larger context - Rev 12 doesn't fit a pre-trib rapture. We're certainly not in the trib now. Temple hasn't been built. We all see through a glass dimly - we're all working with parts of a puzzle. I agree with the author that we need to be watching, waiting expectantly - and making disciples. For those watching, the rapture won't be a surprise. Maranatha. Disciple4life. Loren O.

    1. Blessings, Red Ranger. You are correct in the deep significance of Yom Teruah. I was blown away when I first learned from Ed Chumney's book The Seven Festivals of the Messiah of all the other names associated with it--especially that it is also called "The Time of Jacob's Troubles" (http://www.hebroots.com/sevenfestivals_chap7.htm). That is part of how I came to my speculation that this Feast of Trumpets could be the Rapture and that it will coincide with the opening of the Sixth Seal, thus just prior to the start of the wrath of the Lamb in Revelation 6:16-17. If you're interested here is the full explanation: http://lynmelvin.blogspot.com/2017/08/september-23-day-of-lord.html

You wrote " I have problems with the Sept alignment, because it is crystal clear that this event described in Revelation is after the two witnesses, which comes in the middle of the Trib." Am I correct in that you are thinking that Chapter 12 of Revelation is NOT a parenthetical chapter? Maybe you already have seen where Unsealed and Scott Clarke and others have explained this but you still think Rev. 12 is midTrib. Not trying to argue with you--just wanted to point that out in case you had NOT heard it. Look forward to meeting you WHENEVER that wonderful day comes!

    2. Thank you Lynn. I really appreciate your response and I truly value different perspectives. I didn't feel you were arguing for a second. I would very much like to see/ hear Gary's take, or read the article, as well as Scott Clark. I think all watchmen and women should be open/willing to consider other points, or at least look at another perspective. If you or anyone else could give me the name of the article or post a link I would be so grateful. I'm convinced it is a sign and it means something - It can't just be a sign that occurs once in 7000 years and just also happen to fall the next day after FOT, on the High Holy Shabbat Shuva- which means "return", and the same year as a Jubilee, 50 years after the six day war, and 70 years from Israel becoming a nation, and 40 days after the eclipse and all just be a random occurrence. I eagerly look forward to reading more regarding the notion that Rev is a Parenthetical chapter. Blessings, and Maranatha. ;-) Disciple4life.

When you focus the big number of workers missing after rapture and decline of economy this makes me think of a complete other section of disaster: the multitude of BABIES and TODDLERS missing in their cradles and buggys!! Just imagine how huge the worldwide mourning and lamentations must be then - from globalist CEOs to terrorists' or drunkyards' families! Imagine!! They will not know where all the kids have gone without a trace (which is the most depressing for human beings as they even lack of dead bodies - compare accident events like MH370 passengers missing until today). My personal guess is this event will unite people of the most different kind to be at peace for some time until the AC can rises and establish by managing this chaos. YSIC

  27. Quoting above:

"Next, one of the early events of the Tribulation is prophesied to be the war of Gog and Magog where the enemies of Israel gang-up and launch a massive attack against Israel with the intent to literally annihilate the country (which is supernaturally thwarted by God). The U.S. is easily Israel’s most important ally and the primary deterrent that has prevented massive attacks against the New Jersey-sized country in the past. What would have to happen to the U.S. to transform the U.S from key ally to a country that is either politically opposed or militarily incapable of responding to a massive attack on Israel? Several scenarios run through my mind and none of them are good."

I would suspect that the Rapture would heavily hit the west (North America specifically) and thus have an EXTREME impact on the socio-economic strength and consistency of stability and restraining force in the world. With the US effectively out of the way, then China (though heavily effected by the Rapture as well) will remain as the dominant power. With the US removed from the playing field as a cohesive military force, the doors are opened wide to domination by other players. Israel's worldly ally will be no more. Those that remain in power in the US will have no reason to support Israel. Why should those that remain support Israel? Those that remain will not be spiritual children of Abraham.

I might theorize that this is the spark that starts the war to come. The restrainer has been removed thus what fills the vacuum that remains?

    That is nothing good.
