Shemini Atzeret Whirlwinds And The Global Spring

On Sunday night nine tornadoes descended on the Dallas area, destroying homes, businesses, and several churches, overturning cars, and cutting off power to nearly 200,000 residents (my family among them).  The same storm system caused additional tornadoes further east and northeast, into East Texas, Arkansas, and Missouri.  Chief among these whirlwinds was an EF3 that flattened a Home Depot and gutted Northway Church.  Yet after the dust had settled, the Cross was still standing.

The Cross of Christ will forever be the safest refuge from the storm of sin and death.  It will stand the test of time.  If you want safety and assurance, run to the Cross.

The timing of this storm was peculiar—it struck on Shemini Atzeret, the final biblically-mandated festival of the year.  Shemini Atzeret is the "Eighth Day Assembly" that comes immediately after the conclusion of Sukkot ("Tabernacles").  The festival has both rapture and resurrection undertones, as God mandated the gathering of the people together on this day, and the number eight in the Bible represents newness and resurrection (eight people were saved in the Ark, Jesus was resurrected on the eighth day, and a new heavens and new earth will be created at the start of the eighth millennium).

Furthermore, the storm struck in the darkness while many were asleep.  It came like a thief in the night.  I found out about the impending EF3 just minutes before it passed by and had to "rapture" my sleeping wife and kids out of bed in the dead of night, tucking them away in an inner room and closing the door behind us.

Go, my people, enter your rooms
   and shut the doors behind you;
hide yourselves for a little while
until his wrath has passed by.
See, the Lord is coming out of his dwelling
to punish the people of the earth for their sins.
The earth will disclose the blood shed on it;
the earth will conceal its slain no longer.
—Isaiah 26:20–21

How fitting for the day after the Festival of Tabernacles in which God's people stay in small rooms or shelters called booths, hiding away under the protection of the Almighty.

Still no rapture—the main event—but there is a method to all this madness.  God is in control and significant events are occurring in a preordained pattern, on God's appointed days.  It was this past June 9th, on Pentecost Sunday, that a freak, "unprecedented" windstorm tore through Dallas cutting power off to 300,000, toppling cranes, and tearing off roofs.

When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.  Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.
—Acts 2:1–2

Why are these things happening to Dallas?  What might be the significance?  Israel's calling code is 972.  The Dallas area code is 972.  Also, Dallas and Israel share the same latitude.  But what's of much greater significance is that Dallas is the "buckle" on the Bible Belt and the center of evangelical Christianity in many ways.  Key ministries and seminaries are based here that influence the entire world.  And many of these ministries have their head in the sand in regards to prophecy.  They just won't "go there."  And in turn, much of the Church is asleep, because many shepherds aren't shepherding.

Consider some other significant events in relation to the biblical festivals:

  • Jesus was possibly conceived or born on Yom Teruah (the Festival of Trumpets) in 3 BC
  • Jesus died on Passover
  • Jesus was buried on Unleavened Bread
  • Jesus rose again on First Fruits
  • The Church came into being on the Pentecost after Christ's death
  • Israel's first day of statehood occurred on Pentecost in 1948
  • The Yom Kippur War began on Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement) in 1973
  • From 2014 to 2015, four consecutive total lunar eclipses ("blood moons") occurred on both Passover and Tabernacles of both years
  • In 2017 an astronomical alignment described 2,000 years ago by the Apostle John in the first two verses of Revelation 12, occurred on the day after the Festival of Trumpets

This list doesn't even scratch the surface, especially when you consider all of the significant Old Testament and Intertestamental events that occurred on the biblical festivals.  We are witnessing significant events happening on the festivals once again.  These are the days that God explicitly marked on His calendar, because they are the days on which many major prophetic events occur.

Going back to the freak storm that just struck on Shemini Atzeret, something of greater significance happened halfway around the world in Israel on the Sunday evening through Monday evening festival: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the longest serving Israeli leader in modern history, turned 70, which is the length of a biblical generation according to Psalm 90:10.  What a fitting reminder that the time of The Fig Tree Generation is nearing its end.  And just minutes after the festival concluded, Netanyahu returned the mandate to form a government to President Reuven Rivlin, who will pass the mandate to Benny Gantz.  One era has ended and a new one begins.

The Global Spring

For the rapture of Christ's Church to occur during a time of seeming normalcy, one would think things won't spiral too much further than they already have.  The rapture itself is the trigger that will unleash the prophetic dominoes of economic collapse, global war, and the antichrist.  The rapture is the removal of the restrainer—the Holy Spirit-indwelt Church, which is presently restraining the forces of darkness in the world.

I bring this to your attention because of something I'm coining the "Global Spring."  In December 2010 a Tunisian street vendor named Mohamed Bouazizi lit himself on fire in protest against the confiscation of his property, which set off the events that have come to be known as the Arab Spring.  The Arab Spring saw riots and revolutions across the Middle East and North Africa and a number of governments were overthrown.  The effects are still with us as civil wars continue to rage in Syria and Libya.  There have only been a handful of multinational revolutions in all of human history, including the Autumn of Nations in 1989, which led to the dissolution of the Soviet Union, and the Spring of Nations in 1848, which touched nearly every country in Europe...

And now, dear friends, we are witnessing the beginning of something unparalleled that will span the entire globe.  The origins of this revolution are debatable, but the June 2016 Brexit vote may be a good starting point.  It is essentially an international populist movement against autocratic and oppressive government power, but there is a counter-revolution as well.  It spans both sides of the political aisle, and I would conjecture that once the rapture is thrown into the mix, this Global Spring will lead directly to the rise of antichrist.

Near the end of their kingdoms, when the rebels have reached the full measure of their sin, a ruthless king, skilled in intrigue, will come to the throne.
—Daniel 8:23

I believe these are the events that will lead into the Tribulation and the rapture is what will throw a few million tons of fuel on this fire.  Things are quickly changing and the post-Revelation 12 Sign "intermission" must soon come to an end.

Why do the nations rage,
and the peoples plot a vain thing?
The kings of the earth take a stand,
and the rulers take counsel together,
against Yahweh, and against His Anointed, saying,
“Let’s break their bonds apart,
and cast their cords from us.”
He who sits in the heavens will laugh.
The Lord will have them in derision.
Then He will speak to them in His anger,
and terrify them in His wrath:
“Yet I have set my King on my holy hill of Zion.”
I will tell of the decree:
Yahweh said to me, “You are my Son.
Today I have become your Father.
Ask of me, and I will give the nations for your inheritance,
the uttermost parts of the earth for your possession.
You shall break them with a rod of iron.
You shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.”
Now therefore be wise, you kings.
Be instructed, you judges of the earth.
Serve Yahweh with fear,
   and rejoice with trembling.
Give sincere homage to the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish on the way,
for His wrath will soon be kindled.
Blessed are all those who take refuge in Him.
—Psalm 2

    Revelation 3:8-12

    I know your deeds.

See, I have placed before you an open door, which no one can shut.

For you have only a little strength, yet you have kept My word and have not denied My name.

Look at those who belong to the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews but are liars instead.

I will make them come and bow down at your feet, and they will know that I love you.

Because you have kept My command to endure with patience, I will also keep you from the hour of testing that is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

    I am coming soon.

Hold fast to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.

The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of My God, and he will never again leave it.

Upon him I will write the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God (the new Jerusalem that comes down out of heaven from My God), and My new name.

    1. Great verses. Dan. 8:27 rings quite true. Add this one in:

"So I went to the angel and asked him to give me the little scroll. He said to me, 'Take it and eat it. It will turn your stomach sour, but in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey.' " - Rev. 10:9

  2. A Dallas court also just ruled to allow custody of a 7 year old boy (and his twin) to go to his non-biological mother who is "gender transitioning" him into a girl against his biological father's wishes and who expressed grave concerns for his sons. 11 of 12 jurists in Dallas!!!
Psalm 12: "...The wicked freely strut about when what is vile is honored among men."
I too live in the middle of the Bible Belt where there's a church on every corner and two in between. Nearly everyone I know goes to church or does church. But, I can count on less than one hand the number of folks I'm around who talk about current events relative to the Rapture.
Just this morning a Christian fellow I know was talking about religious tolerance and mentioned Islam.
He truly did not understand when I said it was not to be tolerated and was demonically inspired and it's adherents deceived.
They think I'm the religious nutter...
and now, I suppose a "hater" too. He doesn't understand the compassion behind the comment for those being raised in a culture of hate and lies.

  3. I've been keeping my on on the Vatican lately, where the Pope may have denounced the divinity of Christ. The Pope has also started the Global Education Alliance which will be May 14 2020 at Vatican City. Also take a real close look at what the Pope and the Grand Imam signed back in March ( Human Fraternity for Peace and living together. Extending the Catholic catechism 841 on Islam being part of the plan of salvation. All the push for globalization, humanism, under the veil of climate change. We see the stage being set for Ezekiel 38 and 39. Political uncertainty in the USA and Israel. So many signs we can hardly keep up with them. Main thing is though don't lose faith in Christ. Just like in the tornado ravaged church, Center the cross remains.

    2. When you understand America's role in God's prophetic plan and it's strongly-hinted identificationi Bible prophecy as the Vineyard of Matthew 21:33-43, it is indeed of utmost importance that we pay close attention to the prophetic hint-dropping the Lord is giving us when certain things happen in this nation. If one doesn't understand America's purpose and role in God's prophetic plan, then one will easily make the unfounded comment or faulty conclusion that those who point out prophetic peculiarities occurring in America are overemphasizing its importance. It is prophetically responsible to pay special attention to America, not just the middle East to gauge where we are at prophetically. If America did not hold the position in God's prophetic plan that she holds, then your comment may hold some water.

Lest there be any doubt of America's position in God's prophetic plan, I would invite you to take a long hard look at what happens when one places a map of the ancient Tabernacle of Moses over a map of the USA. What you'll see visually emerge tells the whole fantastic story regarding Christ's prophecy of the Vineyard. This is the subject of the following article.

  7. It almost seems like right now God is looking for people in many of our cities and around the world whom He believes will repent if they believe this will turn God away from devastating their lives while they're still alive on earth. God uses trouble to get people to turn their lives and beliefs around, even just in the short time before the resurrection and rapture. This to try to wake up supposed Christian churches as well as getting unbelievers to realize WE'RE IN THE LAST DAYS!

  8. Glad to hear that you're okay Gary. I'm just starting to hear about the tornadoes in the Dallas-metro. Indeed, if the LORD is sovereign over one thing He is sovereign over all things!

Last night my wife received a FB notification on a fundraiser for mental health in the name of a woman named Rochelle. It really took her back as her best college friend took her life 10-years ago last night. More than that, the woman in the fundraiser and her best friend share the same name! (The fundraiser was not for her departed friend).

    It really rattled the Mrs!

Signs, be they of a personal nature or International in scope are still signs. Big or small the same Lord is LORD of all.

    1. Hi Mike,

How long did Abram and Sarai wait for a son? So long they took matters into their own hands. Still the word of the LORD was not void.

The amount of time our Father takes in His business is His business. A sign is a sign no matter how long it takes. I think we can rest assured His timing is the best. Should we think that His Word, the Bible, is VOID because it was written so long ago? I know some people claim the Bible isn't relevant today for that reason. Does the passage of time make the Bible less authoritative, trustworthy or true?

On the contrary, the passage of time makes the Bible even more true -- we have prophecy to thank for that!

Yes, the R12S will still be considered a sign no matter how long we wait.

    3. "... and now... we wait."
Ben Franklin said that patience is a virtue.
      It's one I lack.
And, I struggle and pray about it daily.
I don't mean so much in terms of instant gratification, but more along the lines of having to deal with INSANE, often times brain washed, people who don't know why they believe what they do but who will tell me they have the right to believe it (they do), and that I'm the crazy one for believing what I do (I'm not) and having to be patient and compassionate in that regard.
I truly do know that the longer we wait, the MORE folks will be saved and that it's ALL in God's hands - His construct, His paradigm, His plans. (MORE [people saved] is GOOD!)
      Not mine.
      Easier said than done.
I have to keep reminding myself of that
and remember that I've been blessed in being allowed to know what I do (thanks, guys!),
and that I am far from knowing more than a smidgeon about anything.
I just have to keep praying for other folks to get there.
They may not want to listen NOW, but hopefully the seeds have bee planted,
and when the time comes, they'll take that leap in faith and find out.
God is who He says He is.
His plans and His purposes will prevail.
      On His timeline.
      So, yeah, we wait.

      Delete
    4. Yes, we wait. However, to treat this matter as though this sign may be separated from the events in Rev. 12 by a decade or more I respectively disagree. You folks have often said that the Rev. 12 sign has a shelf life. The fact that the fine contributors to this website keep saying the Rapture is soon are quite often factoring in the Rev. 12 sign. So to give the impression that GOD may take decades from Sept.23, 2017 to bring about the contextual events I believe contradicts prior statements by the contributors. GOD gave Abraham and Sarah a promise rather than a sign. Their names were changed true but the context really is far more about a HIS promise, GOD spoke a promise to them. When He did appear later with the angels he did give a sign of time and said it would be about a year when he returned. So GOD did give a sign by saying a time which was a year. Sept. 23, 2017 was a great and wondrous SIGN. It was clearly a sign not a promise. It was a sign connected through Holy Spirit guided inference of the promise of the rapture, but 9-23-17 was a sign rather than a promise. It was a sign meant for who? It was a sign certainly primarily meant for the Church (people). As such it would need to have relevance to people. Signs have certain key features. One is about timing. A road sign for example of dangerous curve ahead looses its relevance if the curve ahead is so far from the sign. A sign can show condition. As such the sign has to be very, very closely linked to the condition of something as we see in examples such as a medical exam or the signs of the integrity of a structure. A sign can be meant to put you on alert such as flares, smoke signals, and sirens. If a sign such as that is too distanced from the causation it looses relevance and causes confusion. I just don't think GOD would cause the Rev. 12 sign to happen in 2017 with its context of the Day of the Lord (and pre-trib. rapture) to be so far removed in human time since it is a sign given by GOD to humans. GOD doesn't need a sign. He is not decorating the night sky with thematic pieces for his own sake. It was and is a sign for people. As such, as it as has been said here many times, has a shelf life. GOD is not the author of confusion. It is easily arguable that if the sign were to not have the events that are in the context of Rev. 12 happen within a certain amount of human time it then would have created a lot to do about nothing, a.k.a. confusion. That's not GOD. So to the question asked earlier, the Rev. 12 sign like all signs has a shelf life. Since the sign was from GOD it is wise to figure the rapture and the Day of the Lord will be sooner than later. We have solid reason from the wise men to understand that signs have a shelf life. They did not wait a decade to get to the Messiah. The Rev. 12 sign has A LOT of contextual description to it which is further reinforced by the many signs happening with Israel, the great falling away from GOD by humanity, the rise of the power of the antichrist kingdom etc. To give the impression that we may be waiting a decade or more after Sept. 23, 2017 is rather a bit absent the understanding that it is a sign for people, it is not first a promise but rather a sign of timing (look at the context of chapter 12). I think every sign has a shelf life for its intended target, it's fundamental to sending a sign.

    5. Hi LookingUp!

I'm sorry if I gave the impression that we should expect to be waiting a decade for the RR. If that was the case it was not intended. The point of my response was that a sign is a sign. I agree with you that the R12S likely has far greater proximity. My current studies treat it as a fixed marker and my time-line studies are based upon that concept.

I'm with you that the RR is sooner and not later. 10-years later? I don't think so. Between now and 2021? Much more likely I think. But *when* the RR will happen was not the question so no inconsistency intended.

My answer (above) points to accepting that we don't have all of the answers and that we must be willing to trust God and wait no matter how His way may not fit our expectation(s), plan(s) or understanding.

It is to us who watch and ask these question to dig deeper in prayerful study. The R12S is a message delivered to this generation. But I cannot help but reflect back on Jonah and the message delivered to that generation. Both are signs, one of birth and one of wrath. Both are a call to repentance and aimed at an audience. How they differ in temporal scope has yet to be determined.

  10. This is something I posted a day or so ago in regards to the serpent sign in the sky which you have covered before Gary.

I've had quite a few people tell me they consider the dragons of Rev 12 to be the same thing.

I can't see that based upon the context of Rev 12 in how it is laid out. It covers the full span of the 7 year Trib as well as some time before it. It is a parenthesis on it's own within the Revelation timeline, dealing with several specific corporate characters.
    ____

The woman has always been there, as has the Serpent also awaiting to devour the child fixed in the heavens, but is not the sign(s) until certain prerequisites are met.

The difference is in the timing of the Sun, Moon, and wandering stars (Planets) in relation to this backdrop.

This clockwork in whole marks the times and seasons, and signs in the heavens.

I am as convinced as I ever was that 9/23/2017 (Rev 12:1-2) was the start and "Midnight cry that the bridegroom is coming".

The only thing left of verse 4 to be seen yet is the stars flung to the earth, if that is the meaning, or, if it implies the procession of the sky at the horizon over the course of a year.

I know that some think this has already occurred, but I'm not quite there yet.

Either awaits an exact position or event yet to come.
    ___

I also differentiate the two dragons across Rev 12. Verses 1-6 speak of the symbol in the skies, and not that actual Dragon that is cast down starting in verse 7 and on.

This marks a difference between purposes of verses 1-6, and 7-17.

The first set being the Marker in time, while the rest is the actual future history and action to take place after it's completion.

    - Verses 1-2 are completed
    - Verses 3-4 are in progress
    - Verses 5-6 we await with great anticipation in the near future.
    ___

    Revelation 12:1-6

1 And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed in the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head.

2 She was pregnant and crying out in the pain and agony of giving birth.

3 Then another sign appeared in heaven: a huge red dragon with seven heads, ten horns, and seven royal crowns on his heads.

4 His tail swept a third of the stars from the sky, tossing them to the earth.

And the dragon stood before the woman as she was about to give birth, ready to devour her child as soon as He was born.

5 And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron scepter.

And her child was caught up to God and to His throne.

6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where God had prepared a place for her to be nourished for 1,260 days.

As far as Americas role in the endtimes can we agree that the Exekiel 38 war is imminent? If so then why does it seem that Israel will be facing this threat alone if not for God almighty stepping in and destroying his enemies.
I dont think God is very happy with America and we will be devastated probably more than any nation after the Rapture.

    1. Yeah, in high school debate class we distinctly noticed that there were many sides to the global warming question. Certainly nothing resembling the 'consensus' they were claiming. Some scientists saying it was happening, others saying the opposite was going on, and still others who said that we had very little to do with what was going on.

If God was to give up control of the weather to us, it would fall apart instantly. He just humors us by hitting the lightning rods and other things we think we do to 'control' the weather. As those photos above reveal, He can control a tornado to rip off a roof, yet leave a cross alone. Or tear down an entire neighborhood, yet leave an old church alone.

I don't know why we are so attached to this planet anyway. Do we not want a new heavens and earth? Isn't that what our Lord left to go do? To make a place for us? He made earth in 6 days, I can only imagine what He has accomplished with almost 2,000 years...

  16. God has very little to do with what goes on down here including the weather. There is a character called the devil who Adam gave up dominion of the earth to, does anyone remember him? In Luke chap.4 when Jesus was being tempted by the devil he told Jesus that he would give him the kingdoms of the world if Jesus would fall down and worship him. Jesus didnt argue and say he didnt have that power.
He is very good at making people think he doesnt exist and doing bad things to people and having God take the blame.
Fortunately he doesnt have absolute full control because there are holy spirit filled believers holding him back from doing all he would like to do. We are the restrainer as is mentioned in this article, when we leave the adversary will have much more control although still not complete because of small pockets of trib. saints that will be around.

from evil? He still holds fast
      his integrity, although you incited
me against him to destroy him
      without reason."

      (Job 2:3 ESV)

Who exactly has the power here?

6 And the LORD said to Satan,
      "Behold, he is in your hand;
      only spare his life."

      (Job 2:6 ESV)

      Who has the power?

31 And the demons begged him,
saying, "If you cast us out,
send us away into the herd of
      pigs."

32 And he said to them, "Go."
So they came out and went into
the pigs, and behold the whole
herd rushed down the steep bank
into the sea and drowned in the
      waters.

      (Matthew 8:31-32 ESV)

Who is it that wields ultimate power? Who is it that gives permission?

7 Also it was allowed to make
war on the saints and to conquer
them. And authority was given it
over every tribe and people and
      language and nation"

      (Revelation 13:7 ESV)

...and who will it have power over? The Tribulation Saints to come. It is they who,

10 If anyone is to be taken
      captive,
      to captivity he goes;
if anyone is to be slain
      with the sword,
      with the sword must he
      be slain.
Here is a call for the
      endurance and faith of the
      saints.

      (Revelation 13:10 ESV)

You are right in saying we are the restrainer, but Satan's power will be overwhelming and overpowering during the coming time of trouble and Great Tribulation. It will be so because it has been given power to do so.

Just a couple of scriptural pin-points for anyone who wants to dig on this important if not unsettling topic. I believe you will find that Satan, and those who follow him only have as much power as given them. If it were not so would it be cast into the pit for 1,000-years?

2 And he seized the dragon,
      that ancient serpent, who is
      the devil and Satan, and
bound him for a thousand years,

3 and threw him into the pit,
and shut it and sealed it over
him, so that he might not deceive
the nations any longer, until the
      thousand years were ended. After
that he must be released for a
      little while.

      (Revelation 20:2-3 ESV)

What power does Satan have? If it is cast into and sealed in the pit; who has the power?

(Revelation 20:7-10 ESV) is the end of the story.

      PERIOD.

Satan has no power save that which is given it...and that is limited and only for a time. The blood of the Lamb has seen to that!

Some food for thought in your day and pin-points for your personal time with the LORD.

      Study well,

    2. IN CLOSING,

The LORD G-d has everything to do with what happens on earth. His dominion is complete which allows for consequence to sin(s). Sin is not a created thing -- it is the displacement of abiding love for personal pride. Sin like darkness, is the absence of light and love, not a tangible created thing unto itself.

Limited power was given Satan for a reason. Love. I know that sounds counter-intuitive but that's basically what it comes down to.

16 For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only Son, that
      whoever believes in him should
not perish but have eternal life.

      (John 3:16 ESV)

Those who truly love the Father will find eternal life through His only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Those who love Him will live in glory with Him forever and ever.

      Amen.

    Demonstrating Quantum Supremacy

This is a topic many of us discussed in another article and one which I have followed for 20-years. (Wow, it's been that long now?) My vocation as a tent maker, systems engineer, exposed me to quantum computing as a topic of interest and drives my question if the beast that rises from the earth is indeed quantum computing based AI.

In no way do I intend to demonize the technology or the engineers behind it -- God has already spoken through His word our future history. With all the news and events of the day converging on prophesy, this video may detail certain points that fit the (Revelation 13:11-17 ESV) profile of the second beast to come.

Right or wrong, may our curiosity drive us prayerfully back into His word unafraid to ask the big questions.

    1. Anonymous,

Thank you for that link. Reading through the site I found the following page which is quite helpful in understanding the theology of this group,

The Living Truth Fellowship - Statement of UN-Beliefs

      Quoting, TLTF.ORG,

"We do not believe in the so-called 'Trinity,' a completely pagan fable that, by the admission of every honest Trinitarian, is nowhere in the Bible, and was constructed by church councils during the first five centuries of Christianity. If words have definitive meanings, which they do, all theological attempts to define the Trinity disintegrate into total gibberish."

"We do not believe that Jesus is 'God the Son' or 'the God-man,' but instead, as he repeatedly stated, the 'Son of God.'"

"We do not believe that 'the Holy Spirit' is the 'Third Person of the Trinity.'"

"We do not believe that 'God is Sovereign' as per the prevailing, and misguided, notion that He can do anything He wants to do at any time, and that He is 'in control' of all that happens. Neither do we believe that He either wills or allows everything that happens, including all evil and tragedy, sometimes so He can show off His ability to get you out of the trauma He got you into."

Anonymous, if you, personally, truly believe the above then we are far, far apart in our faith. I, personally, cannot abide in the tone by which the site is written and am thankful that the page above was provided to better understand their teaching.

For those who have yet to read it, here is the Statement of Faith for UNSEALED.ORG,

      It begins and in part...

"We believe in One God, revealed to the world as YHWH of Israel,
Uncreated, self-existent, eternal, all-powerful, and unchanging.
He knows all things and there is nowhere where He is not.
He is good, His word is inerrant, and His nature is love.

We believe God subsists as the mutual indwelling of three persons:
The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, in eternal communion.
God the Son and God the Holy Spirit come from God the Father,
And throughout eternity they have always existed with the Father."

Speaking only for myself, it is disturbing when a group claims the things that TLTF is claiming. It is a dangerous cherry-picking of the Word, highly misleading and worldly.

Beware of it and know the spirit behind such things.

  20. Sorry PR, the trinity is a hoax. Jesus is the only BEGOTTON son of God, not God. The doctrine of the trinity was established in 325 a.d. at the council of nicea. A bunch of catholic bishops had a vote, some thought Jesus was God, some did not. The former had a majority and thus the demonic hoax that we call the trinity. Saying that Jesus is not God doesnot diminish Jesus it exalts him even more. What is so impressive about God walking on the water? Nothing, he created the universe! Jesus is called the "second adam". There would not have been any need for the second Adam if not for the first Adams disobedience. As far as this argument is concerned im done.

  21. 1 Everyone who believes that
Jesus is the Christ has been
born of God, and everyone who
    loves the Father loves whoever
    has been born of him.

2 By this we know that we love
the children of God, when we love
    God and obey his commandments.

3 For this is the love of God,
    that we keep his commandments.
    And his commandments are not
    burdensome.

4 For everyone who has been
born of God overcomes the world.
And this is the victory that
    has overcome the world --
    our faith.

5 Who is it that overcomes the
    world except the one who
    believes that Jesus is the
    Son of God?

    (1 John 5:1-5 ESV)

Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, but by faith we have been adopted children of God. John clearly spells this out in the Gospel of John,

12 But to all who did receive him,
who believed in his name, he gave
the right to become children of God,

13 who were born, not of blood nor
of the will of the flesh nor of the
will of man, but of God.

    (John 1:12-13 ESV)

Who is this that makes possible our adoption?

    1 In the beginning was
    the Word, and the Word
    was with God, and the
    Word was God.

    (John 1:1 ESV)

If to pick one verse from my earlier post (above),

15 For thus says the One who
is high and lifted up, who
    inhabits eternity, whose name
    is Holy:
"I dwell in the high and holy
place, and also with him who
is of a contrite and lowly
    spirit, to revive the spirit
of the lowly, and to revive
    the heart of the contrite."

    (Isaiah 57:15 ESV)

The One who is of a contrite and lowly spirit is the One John calls "the Word" and the Word was (and is) God.

  22. When I posted earlier about having to be patient with brainwashed folks who criticize me for my beliefs, but who get offended if I contradict or question theirs - usually just by asking WHY they believe what they believe is enough - I didn't necessarily mean they weren't Christians. Many say they are. THAT'S between them and God. I do know the Rapture of the Church isn't preached much, even around here (Bible Belt - LOTS of churches).
This is about the only thing I tend to get into it about with folks.
    It seems a lot lately.
I don't want to call it persecution, but in a slim sense of the word, it is.
Such are the times today that those who do know God's truth, and who do take the time to study and know His Word, are often considered religious fanatics for "preaching" the non-politically correct views espoused by the mainline churches.
Perhaps the pastors feel that if they don't fall inline with the "politcally correct" viewpoints, that they'll loose their congregations and the money that entails. Which is nuts, because if they truly did trust God with their livelihood, they'd know that GOD IS THEIR SOURCE, not the members of their church! Do Pastors get church envy when they see mega churches like Lakewood?
I dunno... me, I want REAL truth - the meat and potatoes, not just a diet of feel good dessert Christianity.
Anyway, I feel like more and more I'm having to take a STAND for what's right. What's true. Not just opinion. (Sort of like the difference between blue is a color - fact - versus blue is the best color - opinion.) I'm trying to state facts, but am being argued opinions. God raised himself from the dead even though he was dead. Come on, this is a doctrine for insane people. Do you know the number one reason muslims reject christianity? Its because well meaning but uninformed knuckleheads like you keep pushing the satanic lie of the trinity.
There are so many scriptures I could give you but here are a few. What about when Jesus said " my father is greater than I"? In Hebrews it says that Jesus was tempted in all ways like us yet without sin. In James it says that God cannot be tempted nor tempt he any man.
If Jesus is God this is one of many contradictions. Come on people use your God given common sense. And hey Pastor Richie Rich you big dummy im not going to insult you and suggest that your influenced by a demon because you think Jesus is God instead of the only begotton Son of God. Our elders and deacons would own up to that! We're all sinners. No matter how much of a knucklehead I may be; He loves me anyway. He loves you too Anonymous. Like it or not -- God says we are family.

      Lori,

You ask if one can be saved if they don't believe that Jesus is God? All that we have to know is this,

9 ...if you confess with your mouth
that Jesus is Lord and believe in
your heart that God raised him from
the dead, you will be saved.

10 For with the heart one believes
and is justified, and with the
mouth one confesses and is saved.

      11 For the Scripture says,
      "Everyone who believes in him
will not be put to shame."

      (Romans 10:9-11 ESV)

QUESTION: Can we understand the above as past, present and future tense? I believe so. This is the core for a great Bible study that will lead you to justification and sanctification to name a few.

Can one be saved if they don't believe that Jesus is God? What does the Holy Spirit himself tell us through the Apostle Paul? (See above)

The level of our "head" knowledge is not the litmus test. It is a devoted, faithful, confessing, convicted, contrite, humble, yielding and loving heart that is the litmus test. Our "Yes!" should be witnessed in action. That action is a loving reaction to the unmerited grace we are given. Our action earns not salvation -- it defines us as loving children of God in Christ. The magnitude of that faith need be nothing more than an ember -- as mustard seed if you will.

The commandment we are given to follow is Love.

Lord willing, knowledge and wisdom will come in part and in its time in this life.

  37. It isn't just muslims and those of other non-Christian religions who have been deceived.
It's many adhering to the so-called Christian religions that are as well.
And was a point I was trying to make.
I'm sure the devil is hooting and clapping his hands in glee over all the diviseness his antics have caused among Christians (and those who believe they are). Jehovah's witness, mormons, catholics, et al - they all have some proponent of Christianity, yet the overall construct of their beliefs are not Christian in nature.
Even among the mainline Christian sects we cannot agree - and it has been going on for 2,000 years!
Just think, in the 1500's, William Tyndale was persecuted and eventually killed for wanting to print the Bible in ENGLISH so that everyday folks could read and understand it. The Church wanted it kept Latin. Just a few years after Tyndale's death, King James allowed the Bible to be printed in English - the King James Bible is 75% based on Tyndale's English translation!
Tyndale was persecuted by other Christians for wanting to help others to read and know God's Word!
    * * * * *
We are none of us every going to agree 100% on everything. We are all at different levels of growth and understanding in our Christian walk. But, the basic tenets of our faith should be beyond question and doubt.
John 6:29: Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
That's it in a nutshell: Believe in the One who was sent.
You don't believe in the Trinity, the Rapture of the Church, or signs in the stars - that doesn't disqualify one from being a Christian. God'll sort you out when the time comes. I rather think when that time comes though, that it'll all be moot anyway - irrelevant.
Hillary gave a whole new meaning to the moniker "deplorable".
Anonymous, you may have just done so with "Knucklehead".

    2. Jesus Christ was and is the only begotton SON of God. His beginning was like yours and mine, when God his father put his seed in the womb of Mary.
    3. The Holy Spirit is just another name for God. When you see holy spirit in the church epistles in lower case letters it is referring to the gift of God that he gives us when we believe Romans 10:9,10.
Unfortunately the Jehovah Witnesses believe that Jesus existed before he was born, so they have it wrong too.

  44. Some Objections to the Trinity Answered
    (https://creation.com/jesus-christ-our-creator-a-biblical-defence-of-the-trinity)
Despite the clear Biblical evidence for the Trinity, some still have objections based on misunderstandings of Scripture.

Jesus said: ‘My Father is greater (meizon) than I’ (John 14:28). But this refers to the Father’s greater position in Heaven, not superior nature. Philippians 2:5–11 states that Jesus had equality by nature with God, but voluntarily took on the lower position of a servant. The same arguments apply to related passages about Jesus submitting to His Father’s will.

The word ‘better’ (kreitton) would have been used to describe superiority in nature if this is what had been meant. Indeed, kreitton is used to describe Jesus’ superiority in His very nature to the angels (Hebrews 1:4). The distinction can be illustrated in the human realm by the role of the Prime Minister — he is greater than us in position, but he is still a human being like us, so is not better in nature.

Jesus is called ‘the firstborn of every creature’ (Colossians 1:15). However, in Jewish imagery, ‘firstborn’ means ‘having the rights and special privileges belonging to the eldest child’. It refers to pre-eminence in rank more than to priority in time. This can be shown in passages where the term ‘firstborn’ is used of the pre-eminent son who was not the eldest, e.g. Psalm 89:27, where David is called ‘firstborn’ although he was actually the youngest son.

‘Firstborn’ does not mean ‘first created’; the Greek for the latter is protoktisis, while firstborn is prototokos. In fact, the verses after Colossians 1:15 show that Christ Himself is the creator of all things.

Jesus is Son of God. From this, some cults try to show that Jesus is somehow less than God. But in Jewish imagery, ‘the son of’ often meant ‘of the order of’ or ‘having the very nature of’. For example, ‘sons of the prophets’ meant ‘of the order of prophets’ (1 Kings 20:35); ‘sons of the singers’ meant ‘of the order of singers’ (Nehemiah 12:28). Jesus’ Jewish contemporaries understood that He was claiming to be God, which is why they wanted to kill him for blasphemy (John 19:7).

Jesus is the ‘only-begotten Son’ (John 3:16). The Greek word translated ‘only-begotten’ is monogenes, which means ‘unique, one of a kind’. Jesus is the unique Son of God, because he is God by His very nature (see above). Believers in Him become ‘sons of God’ by adoption (Galatians 3:26–4:7).

This is shown in the human realm by Hebrews 11:17, where Isaac is called Abraham’s ‘only begotten son’. Abraham had other sons, but Isaac was the unique son of the Abrahamic Covenant (Genesis chapters 15–18, 20), born when his parents were old.

  45. THE DIVINITY OF CHRIST IN PARALLEL

Here is (John 20:27-29) in parallel between the English Standard Version (ESV), The Pure Word (TPW) Greek New Testament (GNT) and King James Bible (KJV) with an examination of the words, "God" and "Lord",

27 Then he said to Thomas,
    "Put your finger here, and
see my hands; and put out
your hand, and place it in my
    side. Do not disbelieve,
    but believe."

    28 Thomas answered him,
    "My Lord and my God!"

    29 Jesus said to him,
    "Have you believed because
    you have seen me? Blessed
are those who have not seen
    and yet have believed."

    (John 20:27-29 ESV)

27 Then He Said to Thomas, You must
bring your finger here, and you must
    Spiritually Discern My Hands, and
you must bring your hand and put into
My Side, and you must be not faithless
    but definitely Faithful.

28 And Thomas answered and spoke to
Him, my Lord and my God!

29 Jesus said to him, Oh Thomas,
    Because you are now Continuously
    Beholding Me Attentively, you are
    now Continuously Committing.
    Spiritually Blessed, those that
have not Seen, yet have Committed.

    (John 20:27-29 TPW)

20.27 THEN HE SAYS - TO THOMAS, BRING THE FINGER OF YOU HERE AND SEE THE HANDS OF ME, AND BRING THE HAND OF YOU AND PUT INTO THE SIDE OF ME, AND DO NOT BECOME FAITHLESS BUT FAITHFUL.

20.28 ANSWERED THOMAS AND SAID TO HIM, THE LORD OF ME AND THE GOD OF ME.

20.29 SAYS TO HIM JESUS, BECAUSE YOU HAVE SEEN ME HAVE YOU BELIEVED? BLESSED THE ONES NOT HAVING SEEN AND HAVING BELIEVED.

    (JOHN 20:27-29 GNT)

27 Then saith he to Thomas,
    Reach hither thy finger, and
    behold my hands; and reach
    hither thy hand, and thrust
it into my side: and be not
    faithless, but believing.

    28 And Thomas answered and
said unto him, My Lord and
    my God.

    29 Jesus saith unto him,
    Thomas, because thou hast seen
    me, thou hast believed: blessed
are they that have not seen, and
    yet have believed.

    (John 20:27-29 KJV)

Now, let's look at the word, "God",

    Strong's Concordance (G2316)
    theos: God, a god
    Original Word: θεός, οῦ, ὁ
Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine; Noun, Masculine
    Transliteration: theos
    Phonetic Spelling: (theh'-os)
    Definition: God, a god
    Usage: (a) God, (b) a god, generally.

    HELPS Word-studies
2316 theós (of unknown origin) – properly, God, the Creator and owner of all things (Jn 1:3; Gen 1 - 3).

[Long before the NT was written, 2316 (theós) referred to the supreme being who owns and sustains all things.]

Let's look at another word from the text, "Lord",

    Strong's Concordance (G2962)
    kurios: lord, master
    Original Word: κύριος, ου, ὁ
    Part of Speech: Noun, Masculine
    Transliteration: kurios
    Phonetic Spelling: (koo'-ree-os)
    Definition: lord, master
Usage: lord, master, sir; the Lord.

    HELPS Word-studies
2962 kýrios – properly, a person exercising absolute ownership rights; lord (Lord).

[In the papyri, 2962 (kýrios) likewise denotes an owner (master) exercising full rights.]

Thomas, who had at first denied the Resurrection now confessed with his mouth that Jesus is Lord. Jesus does not refute nor rebuke Thomas' confession. Jesus' failure to refute Thomas' testimony is a proof of Jesus' divinity. If Jesus were NOT GOD, then He would be a liar if not to correct Thomas saying he, Jesus, is simply the Only Begotten Son of God and not God. Thomas knew at that moment, in his heart, that Jesus is God. I accept the text as written.

    Literally.

  47. JESUS IS, I AM

34 Jesus answered them, "Is it
not written in your Law, 'I said,
    you are gods'?

35 If he called them gods to
whom the word of God came -- and
    Scripture cannot be broken --

36 do you say of him whom the
    Father consecrated and sent into
    the world, 'You are blaspheming,'
because I said, 'I am the Son of
    God'?

37 If I am not doing the works
of my Father, then do not believe
    me;

38 but if I do them, even though
you do not believe me, believe the
works, that you may know and
understand that the Father is in me
and I am in the Father."

    (John 10:34-38 ESV)

What is it that led Jesus to say such a thing? Obviously his audience didn't believe he was God let alone the Son of God.

    33 The Jews answered him,
"It is not for a good work
that we are going to stone
    you but for blasphemy,
    because you, being a man,
    make yourself God."

    (John 10:33 ESV)

    Question: Is Jesus a liar?

    Nope!

My favourite verse in all of the Bible, the ONE that TOTALLY BLEW MY MIND when I first comprehended it is,

58 Jesus said to them, "Truly,
truly, I say to you, before
    Abraham was, I am."

    (John 8:58 ESV)

The ONLY way Jesus could make such a statement was if He is God.

Find it HERE in Greek. Open your concordance again for "I" and "am",

    Strong's Concordance (G1473)
egó: I (only expressed when emphatic)
    Original Word: ἐγώ
    Part of Speech: Personal Pronoun
    Transliteration: egó
    Phonetic Spelling: (eg-o')
Definition: I (only expressed when emphatic)
    Usage: I, the first-person pronoun.

    Strong's Concordance (G1510)
    eimi: I exist, I am
    Original Word: εἰμί
    Part of Speech: Verb
    Transliteration: eimi
    Phonetic Spelling: (i-mee')
    Definition: I exist, I am
    Usage: I am, exist.

    HELPS Word-studies
1510 eimí (the basic Greek verb which expresses being, i.e. "to be") – am, is. 1510 (eimí), and its counterparts, (properly) convey "straight-forward" being (existence, i.e. without explicit limits).

1510 /eimí ("is, am") – in the present tense, indicative mood – can be time-inclusive ("omnitemporal," like the Hebrew imperfect tense). Only the context indicates whether the present tense also has "timeless" implications. For example, 1510 (eimí) is aptly used in Christ's great "I am" (ego eimi . . . ) that also include His eternality (self-existent life) as our life, bread, light," etc. See Jn 7:34, 8:58, etc.

Example: Jn 14:6: "I am (1510 /eimí) the way, the truth and the life." Here 1510 (eimí) naturally accords with the fact Christ is eternal – maning "I am (was, will be)." The "I am formula (Gk egō eimi)" harks back to God's only name, "Yahweh" (OT/3068, "the lord") – meaning "He who always was, is, and will be." Compare Jn 8:58 with Ex 3:14. See also Rev 4:8 and 2962 /kýrios ("Lord").

  48. IN CLOSING

Greek, like Hebrew, is a VERY precise and specific language. Both are far better suited to understanding the Gospel than English as English fails the reader to understand the most basic of things. The nature of God being one of them if not the foremost!

His nature is explained in the first verse of Genesis and the English language fails to reveal the true nature of the Creator. God is not only understood as being singular, but His name reveals a masculine plural if read from the original Hebrew.

Still don't believe it? [My *emphasis* follows]

26 Then God said, "Let *US*
make man in *OUR* image, after
    *OUR* likeness."

    (Genesis 1:26a ESV)

WOW! Did you notice? Look closely at that verse and you see three pronouns referring to God, "Let us", "in our" and "after our". A hint at three-in-one? [PR nods in affirmation]

30 "I and the Father are one."

-- Jesus of Nazareth, (John 10:30 ESV)

    2. I’ve mentioned this once before in another post. A couple of answers were pretty good, but dear friends, I can be a little dense at times. With the emphasis here on feasts and such, is there a reason why the RR can’t or won’t happen on “any old day”? Is it a mistake to think, in essence, that we’re “done for the year” at any given point? And yes, I do understand the concept of high-watch periods or dates. But aside from those...

      DW

      Delete
    3. DW,

Scripture is full of patterns thus the appointed feasts/times are obvious choices of study. If the RR happens on "any old day" it won't be any old day, it will be the Day! One of the most important Days ever.

I think to the lost it will be just another day. To us? I expect we will see it coming. Dig on the writings of Paul for that. The wave of events around feast days that contain interesting day counts are not coincidental. I believe they beacon intentionality and purpose. There's been way too many of those to be random chance. Either we are delusional or there is something happening here.

My heart says, "Something is happening here. God is on the move."

Is it today? We'll see. No matter what, and Lord willing, I'll still be working in the fields. Jesus knows where to find me!

But today is one of those days that fits the day counts.

    5. PR,

My “any old day” description wasn’t intended to be smirky or dismissive, but just a manner of separating the potential day necessarily being limited in possibility from the narrower range of a feast day. I absolutely agree that the RR will be THE day of all time. I probably sound silly and repetitive to many of you who have studied thoroughly, but my point was whether or not it’s proper to write off the potential of the RR happening on a day that isn’t during the course of a designated feast or holy day. It’s probably my own faulty perception, but I’ve often had the impression from reading various posts, that many think we’re “over” the possibility because a specific high-watch period has passed. I’ll keep reading and studying, but that was the spirit in which my earlier post was made.

    6. DW,

No worries! No offence or negative message taken in your comment...

My technical and engineering background bring me to ask questions and explore the possibilities. I am far from having all of the answers, and do not claim to know it all, but believe it's okay to explore different avenues using the Bible, listening in prayerful meditation and seeking the Holy Spirit as our guide.

The LORD can come for me any day. He will come for us on the Day. I believe He will call me when the fullness of my days are complete. He will call us home when the number of the saints is complete. Will that be on an appointed feast day?

      I think so.

Such a day would not surprise us while the world would miss it entirely. (Especially Jewish feast days). Right about now I can hear people saying Jewish holidays have nothing to do with the Church. That is true to a point but let us always remember...

Jesus was born a Jew and kept the Law with perfection.

We're we not made in His image? [A topic for another day]

With the fall feasts finished does that mean we let down our guard? Absolutely not. Each passing high watch presses home the value of these days -- how precious our time here is. I would encourage everyone to make an impact where they are. I encourage everyone to remain steadfast and ready!

So are you asking will you see persecution because of your faith? Do you (or I for that matter) need to think about martyrdom?

If you are, and knowing that religious persecution of Christians is not only promised but on the rise Internationally, I would answer your question with a quotation from American author, Dave Burchett,

"An amazing template for us to live our Christian life...we should have no fear of death. That we don't regret the past because it's forgiven. We shouldn't live in fear of the future, that's in God's hands, so when we live in the moment we can enjoy whatever is given us that day."

I consider those words to live by.

By faith we know our destination. What the world calls death is only an awakening. An awakening to see the LORD face-to-face and forever be with Him in glory. My friend, you know you were made to live forever.

Is it any wonder that the Lord tells us,

34 "Therefore do not be anxious
      about tomorrow, for tomorrow will
      be anxious for itself. Sufficient
for the day is its own trouble."

Im not purposefully peeing in anyones cheerios, nobody wants out of here more than me but the day count has been laid out in Gods word. I personally think the number the number is 2520 days, some think 2550 and that there may be a gap between the rapture and the signing of the peace deal. In either case its too late for this year. Reason being that Jesus would have to wait almost a year to fulfill the next feast on the calendar which is the Feast of trumpets. Doesnt make sense but I would be thrilled to be wrong. Next likely watch time is next Spring. Get out your hats and snow shovels if you live in the north country.

    1. There have been times where I looked at His telling us to pray that 'your escape be not in the winter, nor on the sabbath' and thought... 'He told us He would come when He was least expected... So if He's telling us to pray that it not be in the winter or on the sabbath... is that when He is coming?'

It's His plan in the end, let's not discount anything. All things are possible for them that believe.

  58. Its important to keep in mind what is written to us as believers today and what is not. When Jesus made that comment about " your flight not being in winter" he was talking to Israel at the mid-point of the tribulation when the anti-christ defiles the temple.
He was not talking about the rapture. The time period we live in now was not known by Jesus until sometime after his resurrection when his Father revealed it to him. Our time period is explained by the Apostle Paul, it is translated a " mystery" but should be translated a "secret". Here are Pauls references Romans 16:25, 1 Cor 2:7,8- Eph 1:9,10-Col 1:25-27.
Let me point out in 1 Cor 2:7,8 that if the devil had known about the secret he would not have crucified our Lord.

    1. Agreed, the winter or Sabbath flight was written for those fleeing Jerusalem and Judea at he AoD. That is the beginning of the Great Tribulation and the remnant fleeing to the wilderness where they will be nourished 1,260 days.

      Delete
    2. I believe the quote refers to anyone looking at having to escape. They had to escape the temple's destruction in 70 A.D. as well. It being important to the mid-trib believers goes without saying. I just wonder if it's also important to the Church at the time of the RR, even if we won't have to worry about the cold/weather in our new bodies...

Overall, I think we shouldn't 'reverse date set' by saying, 'Oh, it can't possibly happen on x day...' or 'It can't be this year, we're past x important day...'

      Delete
    3. Agreed, again. I believe we should be open to what may come for the simple reason that our minds are infinitely smaller that God. It is given for us to ask questions, dig for treasure and fix our eyes on Christ.

  59. As ive said before. If the rapture happens now the return would be after the F.O.T. 2026. Which means that in order for these feasts to be fulfilled the Lord would have to wait until Sept. 2027, well into the start of the millenial kingdom. I just dont see that happening.

    1. My models, prior to last weekend, targeted return on Yom Kippur, 2026 and beginning of the Millennial Kingdom on Hanukkah I, 2026. These dates are an excellent fit with AoD at Feast of First Fruits/Easter Sunday, 2023.

It's back to the drawing board regarding the RR and continue my exploration of the two witnesses.

      Delete
  60. Ok, if that had worked out that means that Rosh hasannah F.O.T. would be skipped over. That is the next major feast day. God can do what he wants, he can probably fulfill these feasts anytime he wants which means all this speculation is a waste if time, but that doesnot follow his pattern.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. No. Sorry, I may not have been clear...that scenario modelled a Yom Teruah RR and led to a ton of study which was all time spent in the Word. That study time is the purpose of the endeavour -- not trying to figure out when the RR might be.

As shared before, dates pop-out as a product of study but are not the purpose. The purpose is to fit the puzzle pieces and see where they lead. I do not recommend speculation, I recommend study and share data points as I find them for those who are interested.

Like you said, "God can do what he wants, he can probably fulfill these feasts anytime he wants" thus it is incumbent of us to be ready.

  61. Thats fine but it still doesnt answer my question. What about the Feast of Trumpets?

I'm in the camp that only God knows the real day and hour, and if we have anything right still it's the 7 day week cycle... and that God's 'watch' (if He has one on His wrist) would probably be set to Jerusalem time. My personal feeling is the calendar is probably off about a week or two given all the changes + the dark ages/renaissance reshuffling...

    3. No. P. Rich as far as I know and if that were the date surely it would be wrong.

  63. The Feast of Trumpets. When will it be fulfilled? It is an absolute key to determining the timing of the rapture.
I believe it will be fulfilled at his return after the tribulation.

    ReplyDelete
  64. As far as feast of Trumpets is concerned, I totally agree with the idea that this is a divinely appointed time yet to be fulfilled, but it may or may not be the Rapture. Perhaps it's the second coming, with the Yom Kippur feast as Judgement Day? If so, the Rapture could be "feast-less", right? So it could be tomorrow just as it could be in December or January or... You get the idea.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Hello Sherrill, theres just one problem with that. The scriptures indicate that there will be 75 days between his return after the tribulation with his army of saints (Us) and the beginning of the 1000 yr. millenial kingdom.
Lets say the Rapture happens on this coming December 1st. That means that the return would be on Oct. 25th, 2026 or if you prefer 2550 days it would be Nov 24th. Adding 75 days to these dates would bring the beginning of the Kingdom in mid January or February 2027. Since the return happened after the F.O.T. 2026 that means that Jesus would have to wait almost a year well into the start of the Mill. Kingdom in order to fulfill the F.O.T.
This does not make sense to me, if anyone can explain this im all eyes.

So, if I'm understanding you correctly (please let me know if I'm not), you are saying that we need to have the rapture on Feast of Trumpets in order for the Millennium kingdom to start on Feast if Tabernacles? Because they are always the correct number of days apart?

  66. Excuse me, a correction. If we go with the 2550 number it would be 45 days from the return to the Kingdom.

40 years ago (there's that prophetic number 40 again) Rabbi Kaduri said Israel's Messiah would arrive after elections and no government

If March of 1949 started the 70-year clock, we are currently in the 70th+ year until March of 2020 when the 71st year is fully concluded.

Israel will likely have its next election in late March of 2020. Nisan 1 (the start of their religious new year) is March 26th.

  70. I'm hoping someone has looked into calendars in regards to leap years and prophecy as it makes my head spin.

    1. Julius Caesar implemented the Julian calendar in 45 BC with leap years every 4 years. Better----but still off a little.

    2. Pope Gregory XIII implemented the Gregorian calendar in 1582 which refined algorithm for leap years to happen every 4 years with following exception: years ending in "00" (i.e., 1700, 1800, 1900) did not have a leap year unless it was a multiple of 400 (i.e., 1600, 2000, etc.). (The British empire adopted this later in 1752). To deal with this difference since 45 BC, some days needed to be removed & therefore October 5-14 in the year 1582 didn't exist (I must have missed that day in school as I didn't know that).

    https://www.wisegeek.com/what-happened-to-the-calendar-in-october-1582.htm#didyouknowout

    3. As many have pointed out, when using Stellarium one needs to take into account that there is no year "0".

    4. Leap year calculations very different before 45 BC

Could this affect some of the prophetic date calculations (i.e., would dates be off by 10+ days due to leap years)?

  74. We can (nearly) all of us agree that whenever it is going to happen, that the Rapture is NOT that far off. Which means that the Millennium isn't that far off either - perhaps less than a decade!
The following is my commentary & questions on a few things I NEVER see mentioned - anyone?
    * * * * *
For Christians who’ve studied the Millennium, they know the time period begins and ends with judgements, that the devil will be bound until the near end before being set free to lead a final rebellion, then quashed for all time, and that Christ will rein with a “rod of iron”.
Just prior to the beginning of the Millennium is the Sheep & Goats Judgement. Only Believers will enter the Millennial Kingdom. Except…
The Rapture includes BOTH the Church and children too young to make a decision for Christ.
The SAME scenario will likely apply to entrance into the Millennial Kingdom.
There will be three disparate groups of people entering the kingdom:
    1. The Jewish Believers who will reside in Israel.
    2. Non-Jewish Believers who populate “the Nations”.
    3. A group of young children who will all have been born during the Tribulation period, so likely ages 6-7 and under and therefore, below the “age of accountability”.
That leaves a BIG age gap – about 14 years!
The youngest adults will probably be around age 20, since anyone younger than that would have been age 12-13 at the time of the Rapture and so already in heaven. Should a young teen survive the entire Tribulation period of 7 years, plus whatever interval time there is between the Rapture and the actual beginning of the Tribulation, puts the youngest adult age at 20-21. (Just as an aside, God allowed anyone [except for Joshua and Caleb] over age 20 to die in the Wilderness before the Israelites could enter the Promised Land of Canon.)
That means there won’t be any teenagers at the beginning of the Millennium! Just an interesting observation.
There are 2 things that ALL the groups will have in common.
    1. They will all still have a SIN NATURE.
    2. They, and their progeny, will all eventually DIE.*
    * * * * *
Why do believers during the Millennium need to die?
Won’t they just come back to the SAME place??? Albeit in a resurrected body – think I just answered my own question?
N.B. Non believers, or more realistically, non-acceptors of Christ (since it’ll be pretty difficult to NOT be able to believe in someone right in front of your face, I can understand dieing before awaiting final judgement.
    * * * * *
What about those alive at the end of the Millennium?
At the End of the Millennium is the GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGEMENT, during which unbelievers of all time will be judged.
We know that only believers from all time enter into eternity.
    Except…
Again, what about the children born during the Millennium and still alive at the threshold of eternity? Will they be transformed the same as those caught up in the Rapture of the Church?
    Just curious.
God has created patterns throughout our universe and set precedents for His doings. I don’t think it’s too off the mark to speculate about such things.
Especially as we know the BEGINNING is SOON.
The end, time wise - 1,000 years is a long time from a human perspective.
Slightly less than 1,000 years ago was 1066 and the Battle of Hastings, William the Conqueror's triumph changed the history of not only England, but the World.
It makes me wonder if there isn't more significance to it than typically ascribed (that sinful-natured man will still rebel under the overt rule of Christ and even without the influence of the devil) as 1/7th of man's time is allocated to the Millennium. Any additional purpose(s)???

    1. I do feel that one of the reasons for the Rapture is to give everyone their 'assignments' for the millenium and let us have practice? Or at least to explain the plan going forward and correct any errors we've believed. Probably also to hear our testimonies/accounting of everything?

Whatever it's about, we're sure to learn when the time is right.

I believe there is an old say that goes something like, "Silence speaks louder than words." When the RR happens your family will by the power of the Holy Spirit hear the "silence" of your words and come to their senses if they have not done so before the RR. With GOD all things are possible and the effectual and fervent prayers of a righteous person avail much. Think on these truths to help you receive the peace of Jesus.

  78. At the risk of more attacks from the "date setting" police, just some interesting things to note ...

    9/23/17 + 777 days = 11/9/19.

On the Jewish calendar, a new day begins at sunset. This means that
11/9/19 actually begins at sunset 11/8/19. Sunset 11/8/19 just happens
to occur at 4:44 pm in Jerusalem.

    https://www.timeanddate.com/sun/israel/jerusalem

11/8/19 is the anniversary of Heshvan 10, the day Noah entered the Ark. He spent 7 days
sealed in the Ark before the flood began.

"But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of
Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and
drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah
entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them
all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be."
    –Matthew 24:37-39

Adding 7 full days starting at sunset on 11/8/19 at 4:44 pm (Jerusalem
time) takes you to sunset 11/15/19, which is technically the beginning
    of 11/16/19.

Now, adding 2520 days to 11/16/19 lands on 10/10/26, which just
happens to be the projected date of the New Moon (a potential date for Trumpets) that
    month.

    https://www.timeanddate.com/moon/phases/israel/jerusalem?year=2026

This would permit precise sequential fulfillment of the remaining three Feasts in rapid succession during the Second Coming.

    1. That is an excellent question. In any given year, the "scheduled" date for Trumpets may be incorrect. It does have to occur at a New Moon, but which New Moon is always in question. In ancient times, the calendar was reset based on the Abib (barley harvest). If it was not, given that the Hebrew calendar was only 360 days long, the calendar would quickly become incorrect.

  82. Thanks! It can be hard to navigate through all that's going on in the world right now. I admit. I want Jesus to come back. I know there are lots of people that need to find salvation and I pray for the lost every day. I know God is waiting patiently to return because He would want none to perish but all to come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9). But in my heart I feel I don't belong in this fallen world anymore. My heart longs for perfect fellowship with my saviour and fellow members of His body. I know I'm not the only one who can see prophecy being fulfilled with the regathering of Israel and the declining morality of the world. And maybe now what's going on with Turkey and Syria. My heart hurts for those who are caught in deception and can't see the Truth. If they don't accept Jesus their future is grim. But for those of us who know the Lord my heart rejoices because I know our amazing hope is closer than ever. I don't think it's wrong to long for that day when we will be reunited with our King and friends and family in the clouds and be changed and sit down at the marriage supper of the Lamb! I am reminded again to pray for Syria and Israel and our leaders and everyone who doesn't know the Lord and each other. Keep our lamps filled with fresh oil! When you're pregnant, you don't know the day or hour of your baby's arrival. But when you start having contractions and your water breaks and all the signs of labor are present, you know he's coming soon, right at the door! Watch and pray and be a bright light! Thanks for being watchmen and faithful brothers and sisters!
