Well, You Did Ask For A Sign...

Indeed, the LORD God does nothing without revealing His counsel to His servants the prophets.  (Amos 3:7)

In a grand crescendo, everything on earth is coordinating to fulfill the climactic end time events prophesied in the Bible.  Oh, please open your eyes to see!  The time for complacency is past.  Use the last moments of your life here on earth to serve our coming King!  Will you heed the warning?   Are you awake?  Are you ready?

It is in God’s character to issue warnings before acting in judgment.  He gives signs heralding His interventions on the earth.  He has done everything apart from rolling back the heavens and thundering in a loud voice, “Repent!  For the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!”  Just as with His first coming, God commands us to watch the signs of His second coming, so that we are not taken by surprise.

He said to the crowd: “When you see a cloud rising in the west, immediately you say, ‘It’s going to rain,’ and it does.  And when the south wind blows, you say, ‘It’s going to be hot,’ and it is.  Hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky. How is it that you don’t know how to interpret this present time?  (Luke 12:54-56)

And what I say to you, I say to everyone: Keep watch!  (Mark 13:37)

It would seem that the time of intense “watching” of signs would mainly encompass the last 70-80 years prior to the return of Jesus Christ (Psalm 90:10).  This is indeed what we have seen!  There is so very much that can be researched with each of the signs I list below, but for the sake of brevity I will just give a list here.  Bible verses predicting these signs are in parentheses—I want you to know that God in all His fairness gave warning to all those who had ears to hear.

The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.  (2 Peter 3:9)

  • Abortion and Euthanasia are “end time signs,” as humanity tries to control its own beginning and end and “be as gods” (Genesis chapters 3, 6)

  • Global population explosion—compared to when the prophecy was written 1950 years ago (Revelation 7:9-14)
  • Egypt, once a superpower, will still exist but as a “lowly kingdom” (Ezekiel 29:14-16)
  • Climate change and mass death of animals will occur near the end (Hosea 4:2-3)

Satanic Signs:

As part of God's foretelling, we understand that satan is “chomping at the bit,” waiting to unleash his nefarious plan.  We may watch him move his pawns into place based on what the Bible tells us he is going to do.

For the mystery of lawlessness [rebellion against divine authority and the coming reign of lawlessness] is already at work... (2 Thessalonians 2:7)

  • People will be interested in sorceries, witchcraft, magic, the occult (Revelation 9:21, 18:23, 21:8, Isaiah 47:9-15, Micah 5:10-15)

  • Fallen angels will interact with mankind (1 Timothy 4:1; Luke 17:26; Genesis 6:1-4)
  • Macroevolution pushed as “fact” (2 Thessalonians 2:7-12, John 8:44)
  • Blasphemy will become common—taking the Lord's Name in vain (2 Timothy 3:2; Revelation 16:9, 11, 21)
  • Epidemic drug use (Revelation 9:21)
  • People will worship idols of their own making—this simply means showing a strong devotion to someone or something that isn't God.  (Revelation 9:20; 13:12-15; 19:20; Micah 5:10-15; Zechariah 13:1-2, Romans 1:18-25)
  • Consciences will be seared—people will call evil “good” and good “evil.” (1 Timothy 4:2, Isaiah 5:20)

The Bible connects these things to the worship of satan and his world system.  Even during this upcoming time of trouble, most of humanity will cling to these things instead of turning to the one true God:

Now the rest of mankind... still did not repent of the works of their hands. They did not stop worshiping demons and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood, which cannot see or hear or walk. Furthermore, they did not repent of their murder, sorcery, sexual immorality, and theft.  (Revelation 9:20-21)

Signs of War:

  • Wars will occur, such as WW1 and WW2 (Mark 13:6-7, Luke 21:9, Matthew 24:6)
  • Rumors of wars (Mark 13:6-7, Luke 21:9, Matthew 24:6)
  • Ethnic conflicts (Mark 13:6-8; Luke 21:9-10)
  • The capacity to destroy all life would be a reality (Matthew 24:21-22)
  • A global cry for “peace and security” (1 Thessalonians 5:3)

Future wars:

  • Destruction of Damascus (Isaiah 17:1, Jeremiah 49:23-27, Amos 1:3-5, Zechariah 9:1-8)
  • Arab-Israeli War: Egypt, Jordan/Palestine, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon (Psalm 83)
  • Gog-Magog War: Russia, Turkey, Ethiopia, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and perhaps others seem to attack Israel very unexpectedly (Ezekiel 38-39)
  • World War III (Matthew 24:7, Mark 13:8, Luke 21:10)

Debatable Signs:

Lastly, I present to you some additional signs that there is some disagreement as to whether or not they apply:

  • Chaotic weather patterns (Luke 21:25-26)
  • 6000 years allotted for human government on earth (Ecclesiastes 3:1, Psalm 90:4, 2 Peter 3:3-10, Hosea 5:15-6:2, Genesis 6:3)
  • Solar eclipse centered over the USA on August 21, 2017
  • Planet X, Nibiru—a somewhat enigmatic planet which does happen to appear on the NASA website.  If it exists, it may explain some of the supernatural phenomenon which are to come.
  • Literal Babylon (formerly Babel) restored (Zechariah 5:11; Isaiah 13)
  • Nuclear weapons would be available (Zechariah 14:12)
  • Asia (the kings from the east) would be capable of deploying a 200-million-man army.  This army may be human or demonic, I am unsure. (Revelation 9:14-16; 16:12)
  • The Catholic Eucharist: some believe this fulfils the saying that Christ would be in the secret chambers and inner rooms (Matthew 24:26)
  • False Signs: Eucharist “miracles” (Matthew 24:23-27)
  • Apparition of “Mary,” Mary as the head of a global counterfeit church, queen of heaven and earth (Revelation 17, 18:7)
  • Mary representing Rome: there is debate on the future identity of “Mystery Babylon” (Revelation 17:9, 18)

A Preview of Signs to Come:

God has clearly spelled out what will occur during the final seven-to-ten years of this age.  These have not yet occurred; however, previews have been given!  The stage is set for them to occur in full force very swiftly—as soon as God's restraint on them is lifted:

A preview of birth pangs:

  • New and devastating deadly diseases (pestilences) (Matthew 24:7, Revelation 6:8)
  • Global earthquakes (Matthew 24:7, Mark 13:8, Luke 21:11)
  • Global famines (Matthew 24:7, Mark 13:8, Luke 21:11, Revelation 6:5-8)
  • Terrors and great signs from heaven (Luke 21:11)

More previews:

  • A Global Government, with a “new world order” (Daniel 2:40-44, 7:23; Revelation 13:7-8)
  • A Global Ruler (Daniel chapters 7, 11, Revelation 13)
  • A One World Religion (Revelation 13:8,12, Revelation 17)
  • Global Peace and Security promised (Daniel 8:23-25)
  • Environmental Devastation (Revelation 11:18)
  • Signs in the sun, the sun will scorch the inhabitants of earth (Luke 21:25, Revelation 16:8-9)
  • The Eastern Gate in Israel will remain closed until the Messiah returns (Ezekiel 44:1-3)
  • Israel will have no king until Jesus returns (Hosea 3:4-5)
  • Ancient Petra, in Jordan would exist, and possibly will become a place of refuge (Isaiah 16:1-4; Matthew 24:16; Revelation 12:6, 14)
  • Birds of prey will eat the dead flesh of the enemy armies that fall in battle against Israel.  Fun Fact: Israel is the migratory bird capital of the world.  (Ezekiel 39:4, 17; Revelation 19:17-21)

I understand that we are seeing wars, earthquakes, famines, pestilences, various terrors and signs in the heavens even today.  They even seem to be increasing in frequency and severity.  As of yet, these are still isolated events.  The Coronavirus (Covid19) Pandemic is coming close to a global event, but the other signs aren't occurring globally on top of it—yet.  Think of it as grave foreshadowing... What we see now is disruptive, but what will occur then is incomprehensible!

...when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates.  (Matthew 14:33)

The book of Revelation is meant to REVEAL, not conceal.  It's challenging to understand at times, yes, but God has hidden keys throughout the whole body of Scripture that unlock meaning.  It's the most amazing and beautiful puzzle which ties together the entire revelation of God to humanity.

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.  (John 16:13)

What I write here is my best understanding from Scripture, but it is a human understanding, and thus will be flawed in some points.  I urge you to search the Scripture for yourself to see if these things are so, praying for wisdom!

It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out.  (Proverbs 25:2)

The lists above are not exhaustive, but I hope you find them helpful as you watch and wait for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Maranatha!

  1. Hi Stephanie

    Good Job

"It is in God’s character to issue warnings before acting in judgment."

Yes, God always warns His people and this time Matt 27:52-53 the sign of Jonah a 40 day warning.

    1. Isaiah 66:7 in the Greek Version of the OT called the Septuigent - (which Jesus used)

7 πρὶν τὴν ὠδίνουσαν τεκεῖν, πρὶν ἐλθεῖν τὸν πόνον τῶν ὠδίνων, ἐξέφυγεν καὶ ἔτεκεν ἄρσεν.

The last word here is ARSEN - (A "Male" Child) = ἄρσεν.

And the same word is used in Greek in Revelation 12:5 - and she brought forth a son, a male = ARSEN = ἄρσεν.

So who is giving birth? Zion / Israel (Revelation 12)
When are they giving birth? - Before the travail (I Thessalonians 5)
What are they giving birth to? - A Nation (I Peter 2)
How long does it take? - In an instant - (I Corinthians 15)

So all that to say - I like to view Isaiah 66:7-9 as referring to the RAPTURE as the birth -

This is an interesting article by Michael Svivel, a professor in Dallas Theological Seminary

      http://mydigitalseminary.com/pre-tribulational-rapture-interview-michael-svigel/

Allusion to Isaiah 66:7-8. The use of the neuter adjective arsen (male) modifying the masculine noun huios (son) and the image of Israel giving birth points careful readers back to Isaiah 66:7–8, where we read in the Septuagint (Greek version of the Old Testament): “Before she travailed, she brought forth; Before her pain came, she gave birth to a boy (arsen). Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Can a land be born in one day? Can a nation be brought forth all at once? As soon as Zion travailed, she also brought forth her children.” The image is parallel in Revelation, and John explicitly breaks the rules of Greek grammar (modifying the masculine “son” with the neuter “male”) to point us back to this passage in Isaiah 66. The child in both cases is corporate, not individual.

God is good! Keep Looking Up, Grace and Peace to all who are in Christ Jesus our Lord -

Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus !!! Come !!! And let those who hear say, "Come" and let all who are thirsty say, Come - Revelation 22:17

Time is Short - Revalation 22:20

    2. The 12th chapter opens saying there appeared a great "wonder" (correct translation of "wonder"= symbol/sign) - there appeared a great symbol/sign in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars;
As a symbol, the descendants of Jacob would remember the dream of Joseph. For this is a symbol of the Nation Israel. It's not the Church. The Church was raptured in the 4th chapter.
Satan is cast out of heaven, by that great Angel that looks out for the children of Israel, that was called Daniel's Angel, Michael.
With the war in Heaven, the Devil is cast onto the earth.
The sun clothed woman is here. The remnant is here, the man child is born, and the Dragon, now restrained to the earth is waiting to destroy that man child, but it's caught up, the 144,000, the sealed ones, they're taken, the man child is taken. That happens during the tribulation.

  3. What a bunch of boloney, I dont have time to disect this point by point but I will mention one thing. Ezekiel and Leviticus predicting Israels rebirth in 1948? Ezekiel 4:1-8...Lev.26:14-46.

These passages do no such thing, do you people write this stuff thinking that no ones going to look at your work? Leviticus? Give me a break.

Nothing written by the O.T. prophets applies to anything going on in Israel today. Anything written about Israel by those people deals with the tribulation or the millenial kingdom.

    2. People can be so mean on the internet. I, personally liked how you handled that considering my spirit feels crushed by a "wise" person on another site. I really can't take this evil world any longer. It's beautiful as God's creation but I need your prayers. I've been with you all since 2017 and don't think I've missed an article since and the comments are great too.

Definitely disagree with you there. A lot.

Love you brother, but please consider what we're trying to do here in regards to discussing with one another. If you get a second, please click "Features" right above the comments section, read, and if you feel you can abide by what's said there, please stay. If not, you're choice.

    4. https://biblehub.com/kjv/2_timothy/3.htm

"16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works."

ALL scripture is useful. If the church fathers had so decided, they could have abandoned the "Jewish volumes" and wrote a complete new one. They did not because it was still useful for us. Maybe not everything applied the same way anymore (See:
http://biblehub.net/search.php?q=the+old+and+the+new ) but it was to be preserved because there was still value in it.

Mainer, I know you feel that you are doing your duty to correct errors... but without an understanding of why you believe what you are saying, the rest of us will cling to our understanding. We all need to cling to whatever truth we have, it is that simple.

    5. That was very mean-spirited, Mariner. I'm not seeing the love of Christ in your posts here. Don't like, don't read. Very simple.

    6. Mainer, you keep giving the excuse that "you don't have enough time to argue" then you proceed to pick apart what you feel you DO have the time for. The other day, you said that my comments were, I believe the words you used were "a total waste of space". Do you realize you're becoming a bully?

  6. Stephanie,
Thanks so much for this really awesome source for signs in the scripture. It's a treasure. I don't know enough myself to know if you have everything perfectly right. Even if you don't. That's okay. No one has it perfectly right. Not one person. But we try. And I believe God honors our efforts when our hearts are in the right place. I believe yours is. Thanks again!!

  7. GREAT JOB! I will add something to that "debatable sign": Solar eclipse centered over the USA on August 21, 2017. As you know another eclipse will come crossing the 2017 eclipse forming an "x" or ancient tav across the Unite States thus dividing this nation with the mark. I submit that this ancient cross tav marking has an apt LIKENESS to the confederate flag which so dearly divided & still divides this nation.

I understand why imminence is important as it makes us live holy, blameless and spotless. Knowing that my master will return unannounced and I want him to see me doing what is right.

    1. Agreed. I no longer look for signs either since we have already received waving neon signs for a good period of time. Moreover, all the many many bible mockers I know not only ignore all the signs, stare at me blankly, & would need an anvil to fall on their head to be moved all makes me think the times for signs is coming to an end & we will be going up any minute.

    1. I don't believe Europe and here's why.

This little horn who comes up and uproots three of the ten horns that grow out of the nondescript beast, as the feet and toes are attached to the iron legs, the horns grow out of the nondescript beast, the iron legs being Rome, the nondescript beast being Rome, and feet being the Moslem Empire, the ten toes and the ten horns being a confederacy of ten out of the Roman portions of the Moslem Empire. The Little Horn is added in this vision. From within the territory of the ten, he will rise up, uproot three of the ten, and establish a kingdom, that now we are told, will last, given absolute power, for a period of three and a half years, after which his kingdom will be destroyed, and the kingdom of the saints eternal will be established.
This ten toed kingdom, in the days of those kings, the stone kingdom will be established. In the beastly vision, in the area of the ten member confederacy, an 11th one, not very big, a nondescript little horn will rise up, uproot three of the ten, have absolute power for three and a half years and then he will be put down as the kingdom of the saints, which is the equivalent of the stone kingdom is established to last forever.

  11. I think you missed a sign Stephanie. You missed the one... oh no, there it is. You got them all : ) That is an impressive summary and list. Well done!

For me the ones standing out right now are the rise of lawlessness (Matt 24:12) and the conflict between one another - ethnic group vs ethnic group (Matt 24:7). What has struck me, and no doubt others with the recent killing of George Floyd, is how the rise in tension seems global (or at least throughout the Western world.)

I live in New Zealand... a long long way away from the scene of the crime but we are still having Black Lives Matter marches prompted by Floyd's killing. A statue of one of the 'white colonizers' was just taken down from a prominent city. Others have been vandalized. A pub named after Captain Cook, who first chartered and mapped New Zealand, now has to be renamed apparently. And on it goes.

There has been similar scenes in Australia. Worse in the UK. And obviously far worse again in the US. But the point is that the same spirit of lawlessness, anger and ethnic tension is in the air... everywhere. Waiting for something to trigger it. Waiting for someone to exploit it.

I read the other day that social media has led to a generation 'addicted to anger'. So while, from a Christian point of view, these signs point to our 'blessed hope' (and what a day that will be!), it is still truly heart-breaking (and I should add still somewhat mind-boggling even though I've been studying the signs and Bible prophecy for 30 years) to see what is happening around us.

Only in Christ is anger taken away and reconciliation, both with God and man, truly found.

    Come Lord Jesus.

    1. Nice post. Couldn't agree more with the current craziness on the world. I'd be less inclined to think the riots were related to possible end times signs, except that they're global, and one of the names/titles of the Anti-christ is Lawless. Right in keeping with the mentality of our current world.

  12. Thank you elgordo for your response. Let me take the question one step further:

    - The Bible is fraught with verses both in OT & NT about all of our deeds bring brought to judgment, along with every secret thing, both good & evil. Solomon’s ecclesiastes ends with such a verse as a final warning to mankind. Peter exhorts us to pass our time of sojourning in fear, knowing that God is not a respecter of persons.

Truthfully, there are still besetting sins and worldly temptations that I succumb to, even willfully.

In light of the judgment seat and His forgiveness of our sins, do our “forgiven sins” still bring judgment?

IF our sins are forgiven, forgotten, and cleansed, how do we deal with such verses?

I am afraid of being cast out ‘weeping and gnashing my teeth.’

    1. Hi SC, you're right, every single human will have their deeds judged. If someone is not saved they will have to pay the punishment themselves. However if you have trusted in the atoning blood of Jesus, your sins and lawless deeds have been judged on the cross, and He paid for all of them.

Do we do good works now that we are acquitted? Absolutely.

Our sins and lawless deeds are no more now. Our good works cannot save us. And now that our sins were judged and paid for on the cross they cannot condemn us anymore because Jesus succeeded.

As far as the East is from the West so far are your transgressions removed from you if you have trusted in the blood of the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.

    2. Look at the life of Lot - nothing in the Old Testament seems to really reflect a life of a righteous man, but that's what the New Testament calls him. That's a great example of a "worldly Christian". Besetting sins will rib you of rewards, Rob you of your witness to others, and your closeness with God in fellowship. But they'll never rob you of your salvation. Trust in Jesus, pray for deliverance, but have Peace in your eternal destination.

    3. I just want add a tidbit from Paul which helps me quite a bit.
Paul teaches that when we do say yes to Christ God puts His spirit in you and you become a new creation. And trench warfare starts to ensue, the spirit against the flesh and flesh against the spirit. And as you grow in your faith and relationship with God it get easier.

    4. Hi SC, thanks for replying. Steve, Sherrill and Gregg have replied well. I'll just add some thoughts concerning 'fear' for the believer seeing you stressed that.

The verse you quoted in 1 Pet 1:17 tells us to conduct ourselves in fear during our stay on earth. And so we should. But what does that mean? Does it mean to be terrified or scared of our Father or something else? The Greek word is:

phóbos - meaning 'fear, terror, reverence, respect, honor.' (Complete Word Study Dictionary)

So you'll see it can mean terror in some contexts and it can also mean reverence and respect in others. Context is important. Who it is written to is important. The unbeliever should have terror if they knew what is to come and don't accept God's offer of salvation. For the believer, it is an awesome reverential fear at the majesty, sovereignty and character of God. That's why the Amplified Bible translates it as:

"...you should conduct yourselves with true reverence throughout the time of your temporary residence..."

The enemy loves to cause fear. He loves to get people doubting God, His love and salvation. It keeps even those that are saved from being fruitful. But God doesn't lead His children that way. Even His discipline of His children (and we all need that from time to time!) is done in LOVE (Heb 12:6). That's why, after saying God is love, John writes (from the Amplified Bible):

1Jn 4:18 There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love's complete perfection].

William MacDonald in his Believers Bible Commentary writes on this verse:
"Because we have come to know God's love, we have no fear of perishing. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear. It is His perfect love that casts out our fear. I am assured of the Lord's love first of all, because He sent His Son to die for me. Secondly, I know He loves me because He indwells me at the present moment. Thirdly, I can look to the future with confidence and without fear. Truly, fear involves torment, and he who fears is not made perfect in love. God's love has not been allowed to operate in the lives of those who are afraid of Him."

    5. ...
Maybe an illustration might help. In New Zealand we have a lot of farms. We have even more farmers. We have even more sheep! We have fences to keep the sheep in and use dogs to drive the sheep where we want them to go. It is a system based on fear. The result is that the sheep are timid and fearful.

But note... This is NOT the eastern method or mindset and it is NOT what Jesus had in mind when He said that He is the 'Good Shepherd' and spoke of His relationship with His sheep. The eastern Shepherd loves and cares for his sheep and his sheep know this! So fear is not required to drive the sheep for they follow him, knowing that he protects and provides for them. Barking dogs, fences and fear aren't required in the Good Shepherd-Sheep relationship!

SC, you believe in the Lord Jesus. He is your Shepherd. Should we walk with Him in a deep holy reverence? Absolutely! Should we walk close with Him and confess our sins? Absolutely! But I pray that His perfect love will cast out your doubts and fear and that you will know that all of your sins (and mine thankfully) were placed upon the One who was nailed to the cross and He paid for them all. The bema seat of Christ (which is the judgement that believers stand before after the Rapture) IS NOT FOR YOUR SINS (God has already dealt with that!) but a judgement of your works since becoming a Christian (1 Cor 3:13). It is also not about salvation, but is for rewards in the life to come (1 Cor 3:14-15). Fear not. If you believe and trust in Him SC, you will not be cast out.

Joh 6:37 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.

Apologies for the length of reply, but hope it helps you. God Bless : )

    3. Hmmm...Moin...may I humbly suggest a different word to use than "could"?

"Will" may be the word you were looking for. Knowing we are an International community conversing in English there is potential for misunderstanding by some. (That never happens here does it?)

Honestly, the Rapture COULD happen on June 21. It is not proper to say the Rapture WILL happen on June 21 (which is what I'm sure you meant); don't think the Rapture *will* happen on June 21.

I know that some of us are still learning to deal with disappointment in the waiting and your comment gives light to that fact.

Likewise, speculating on wars and their beginnings down to the day is as dodgy as speculating on the day and hour of the harpazo. I would submit they're the same thing. So if we're going to speculate on when war will break-out then it is fair game to speculate on the harpazo as well. Afterall, was not the escape route for Israel through the sea on dry land provided by God in the face of war and death?

      Think about it...

I am most thankful for this fellowship and the diverse community we are. Discussing prophecy and how our days potentially align with Biblical prophecy are why we are here.

May we be blessed to clearly hear the gentle voice of our Teacher as we explore the possibilities each day brings.

With God, all things are possible.

God does have a sense of humor though, not only will there be a huge ring in the sky over Israel, and some other countries, it will be Father’s Day here in America. Just wishing that’s all. 21. OBSERVATIONS ON THE COMING ANNULAR ECLIPSE

The last annular solar eclipse was on Boxing Day, 2019 (12/26/19). The next annular solar eclipse, although beginning in on the African continent rather than the Arabian Peninsula, will end like its predecessor over the US Territory of Guam.

Day count between these events is 178-days or five (5) months 26-days time.

    Strong's (G178)

    akatakritos: uncondemned
    Original Word: ἀκατάκριτος, ον
    Part of Speech: Adjective
    Transliteration: akatakritos
    Phonetic Spelling: (ak-at-ak'-ree-tos)
    Definition: uncondemned
    Usage: uncondemned, not yet tried.

The day count rendered as MM:DD is a word in and of itself given that Hebrew letters have an equivalent numeric value,

    5 = "ה"
    26 = "יהוה"

You may argue that five (5) is the sum of 1 + 4 or 2 + 3 but in its most basic form it's just five. The same goes for 26. That said the most obvious observation is the combination of 5 and 26 to form the word,

    "ה יהוה"

    ...or simply,

    "the LORD".

    ReplyDelete
  22. OBSERVATIONS ON THE COMING ANNULAR ECLIPSE (Continued)

As Scripture may be seen from various perspectives so to it may be possible to view this event from different perspectives. Looking at the geo-political states of the nations falling under the ring of fire eclipse what do we see?

I see a lot of war.

7 "And when you hear of wars
and rumors of wars, do not be
    alarmed. This must take place,
but the end is not yet.

8 For nation will rise against
    nation, and kingdom against
    kingdom. There will be earthquakes
in various places; there will be
    famines. These are but the
    beginning of the birth pains."

    RED LETTERS (Mark 13:7-8 ESV)

We've seen this happening for some time now. But skip to verse 24 and we find,

24 "But in those days, after that
tribulation, the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light"

    RED LETTERS (Mark 13:24 ESV)

Does this not sound like a solar eclipse? Where and with what do we see the number 24 in the Bible? Who does that most bring to mind?

    Hmmm...could be...

    Jesus continues,

25 "and the stars will be falling
from heaven, and the powers in the
    heavens will be shaken."

    RED LETTERS (Mark 13:25 ESV)

Does this verse sound like the casting out of the fallen angels from heaven -- their removal from seats of power in the government of God? Twenty-five is a reflective of the number 52 with 52 being the number of completion (as in the completion of the Jersualem wall in Nehemiah's day -- as in the gathering of all of Israel to hear the reading of the Book of the Law by Ezra on Yom Teruah!)

    Hmmm...

26 "And then they will see the Son
of Man coming in clouds with great
    power and glory."

    RED LETTERS (Mark 13:26 ESV)

Again, the number 26 this time directly associated with "the Son of Man" who is not only Lord but LORD. Recall (Exodus 6:3),

3 I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac,
and to Jacob, as God Almighty, but
by my name the LORD I did not make
    myself known to them.

...point being is that Jesus, in His glorified form, was/is/will always be the LORD. Jesus continues,

27 "And then he will send out the
angels and gather his elect from
the four winds, from the ends of
the earth to the ends of heaven."

    RED LETTERS (Mark 13:27)

The elect will be gathered from the four corners of heaven and earth. The saints sleeping in Christ and those who remain alive on earth? Sounds like the harpazo doesn't it? Again, an interesting number here 27 totalling the number of books of the New Testament. Thirteen itself is a watermark number but outside of the scope of my time today.

Jesus states that the Son of Man (he Himself) will be "coming in clouds with great power and glory." That He comes on the clouds is almost unmistakably the harpazo. This time is marked by what? "[T]he sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light".

May we expect the harpazo (G726) to be marked by a solar eclipse?

That's a good question as it may be. May there be a series of watermarks here? Perhaps, or perhaps I have too much of an imagination or just see the LORD in everything! My heart is on fire for Him so I will grant you this may mean nothing.

    Still...

Do we not see a lot of *walls* and *division* happening in the world today? The division of Israel is most obvious! This is part of the reason why I see so many watermarks in the Word. The totality of the Bible comes together as One.

Is it any wonder?! It shouldn't!!

  23. OBSERVATIONS ON THE COMING ANNULAR ECLIPSE (Concluded)

Timeanddate.com records, "This eclipse also has the highest magnitude (0.99401) at the instant of Greatest Eclipse among all the annular solar eclipses between 2003 and 2031. The next annular solar eclipse with a higher magnitude is on September 12, 2034."

Did you get that? This eclipse will be the *BRIGHTEST* of all annular eclipses over a 28-year period only exceeded by the coming eclipse of 9/12/34 -- a day which Chabad.org records as 28 Elul, 5794 or Creation Day 4; the day when G-d created the sun, moon and stars!

This 2034 date/event also lines up with the potential date of the original physical advent of Christ in the year 3 BC (per Torahcalendar.com) with the triple conjunction of Jupiter and Regulus in advance of Yom Teruah. This event is seen in different lights in this place so I will not argue the merits of the date now -- just that this is an interesting data point.

Maximum eclipse this weekend will occur at 06:40:04 (UTC) which is 08:40:04 (IST) in Israel. Again looking to Strong's (G840) we find,

    austéros: harsh, severe
    Original Word: αὐστηρός, ά, όν
    Part of Speech: Adjective
    Transliteration: austéros
    Phonetic Spelling: (ow-stay-ros')
    Definition: harsh, severe
Usage: grim, severe, strict, exacting, harsh, rigid.

I don't know about you but I find this interesting. Day count from the last eclipse to the next event (this weekend) hints of Strong's (G178). Boxing Day to Father's Day may hint of a Gentile nature. The seated government of Israel has made it clear that it intends to divide the land in violation of the the everlasting covenant -- therefore may we see (from a Jewish perspective) Strong's (G840)?

(G178) ἀκατάκριτος (akatakritos) meaning, uncondemned -v- (G840) αὐστηρός (austéros) meaning, harsh or severe.

Again, looking to Strong's since Breaking Israel News (BIN) did the same in the article linked by Moin above,

    Strong's Concordance (G725)
harpagmos: the act of seizing or the thing seized
    Original Word: ἁρπαγμός, οῦ, ὁ
    Part of Speech: Noun, Masculine
    Transliteration: harpagmos
    Phonetic Spelling: (har-pag-mos')
Definition: the act of seizing or the thing seized
Usage: spoil, an object of eager desire, a prize.

Again, not to crank-up anyone's hopes. Just observations on the day.

  28. Pastor Rich, I loved reading everything you found about the coming eclipse! We both have wonderful imaginations given to us by God! When I think about the "Ring of Fire" eclipse all I can see is that huge engagement ring in the sky saying to all of us,'Come up here My bride and enter into your rest, we have a party to plan.' Won't that be wonderful. The scriptures you cite are perfect for the event. Anyway, I have to share this too. A friend of mine, purchased an ebook she let me read. It was titled, Covid-20 The Coming Killer Coronavirus by Jerone R. Corsi, Ph.D. Basically it lays out how evil Fauci is, having patents on antagonists that were found in CoVid-19. He explains that CoVid-19 is a man-made pathogen (bio-warfare) released by China and Russia to kill and bring down the economy of the US, basically to punish Trump for all the trade war stuff and sanctions on these countries. The article, ebook, goes on to say that CoVid-20 has already been manufactured and released and it's suppose to be deadly on contact. It is supposed to be here in September. Plus, the the CDC and NIH (forget who this is) has made it really difficult if not criminal to get that hydroxychloroquine. It will not be effective against the CoVid-20 though. As I read the ebook and how deadly the next wave would be, I knew this would be a Tribulation plague. By grace, God will save us from this evil bio-weapon. Sorry, if I was rambling. Maranatha!

    1. Rhonda,

      Yes, it will be wonderful!

I personally believe Scripture shadows our coming departure in (Exodus 14) where Israel is trapped against the sea by the armies of Pharaoh. I believe the threat of imminent death of the Church, either massive or global, will be the immediate precursor we see to the coming of our Lord on the clouds in glory.

That may be by way of war or pestilence. One thing I do know is this,

1 He who dwells in the shelter
of the Most High will abide in
      the shadow of he Almighty.

2 I will say to the LORD, "My
refuge and my fortress, my God,
      in whom I trust."

3 For he will deliver you from
the snare of the fowler and
      from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with his
      pinions, and under his wings
      you will find refuge; his
      faithfulness is a shield and
      buckler.

5 You will not fear the terror
of the night, nor the arrow
      that flies by day,

6 nor the pestilence that stalks
      in darkness, nor the destruction
      that wastes at noonday.

7 A thousand may fall at your
right side, ten thousand at your
right hand, but it will not come
      near you.

8 You will only look with your
eyes and see the recompense of
      the wicked.

9 Because you have made the
      LORD your dwelling place --
the Most High, who is my
      refuge --

10 no evil shall be allowed
      to befall you, no plague
      come near your tent.

11 For he will command his
      angels concerning you to guard
      you in all your ways.

      (Psalm 91:1-11 ESV)

Reading further, we can see this psalm was written with Christ in mind. I take strength in it as His promises concerning us. We are One being the body of the Lord Jesus and His Church. Christ is our Shepherd. We know His voice and follow Him wherever He goes.

Whatever may come He will come for us. In His body and blood it was finished on the cross. Nothing more need be said or done save the counting of the last saint in this age and the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

      With thanks, dear sister!

  29. Just thought I would share with y'all that our local library opened up this week. I whent in today and you would not believe what I had to go through to look at a couple of things. Mask and gloves and what they call a "browsing partner" who followed me everywhere I went. If I touched something "with gloves on" and did not want that item I had to give it to the "browsing partner" to be sanitized. There were 10 times the amount of workers there then they used to have. It was truly the most bizarre thing I've gone through with covid-19. I was watched every second. It was just crazy.

  30. Just because I dont glom onto every rapture speculation date does not make me negative. Im trying to stick to what scripture actually says, applying whats actually written to us. I'll say it again. There are signs for the great tribulation but NOT for the rapture.

If there were any the Apostle Paul would have given us one when he wrote Thessalonians, for some reason God is keeping this close to the vest.

If you want real evidence for the rapture look at the upcoming "peace deal". How many more star alignments that come and go are you going to allow yourselves to be disappointed by? The Rev. 12 sign is almost 3 yrs. old for petes sake. There was one back on April 3rd that came and went.

Forget about the stars, they are not going to predict the rapture. Look at whats going on here. I said last March to forget about a Spring rapture, do you all think I write things just to pee on your spiritual cheerios? I said that based on a rightly divided scriptural basis.

I know many of you were looking at Pentecost, dont be angry with me because were still here. Dont worry hes coming. In my opinion in the Fall, will it be this Fall? Do you want to hear something that makes you feel good or an honest answer? I dont know! Oh, there I go again.

I agree with much of what you say and yes "rightly dividing the word of truth".
I really don't believe the Church was started on Pentecost.
Jesus picked Paul to be the Apostle to the Gentiles.
Paul was give to know the beginning and ending of the Church.
The sign is right there in Matt 27:52-53 the sign of Jonah a 40 day warning.
First Fruits is a Spring Feast and is not a prediction.
The Rev 12 sign has to with the nation Israel and the 144,000.
I know you don't agree with that and that's OK.
I have turned this piece of scripture around, upside down and inside out, and more you look at it the more sense it makes. It will be quite the talk of the town when it happens, this has more to do with the Jews than with us.
We should be rejoicing, we are part of that stone kingdom!!

  31. I think i can help you out Mariner. I found an all encompassing scripture to show that the so-called "Israel" of today isnt the Israel the Bible speaks of. Its really quite simple :

    JESUS SAID:

"I am the way, the, truth, and the life; NO ONE comes to Father EXCEPT THROUGH ME --John 14:6

And then we have John 10:1. -

"Verily, verily, I say to you, He that entereth NOT BY THE DOOR into the sheepfold, but climbeth up SOME OTHER WAY, THE SAME IS A THIEF AND A ROBBER.

Jews today clearly despise Our Lord, and therefore are not in any way in favor with God and are clearly not heirs according to ANY of His promises.

ONLY THOSE THAT ARE IN CHRIST ARE HEIRS.

In fact, Scripture calls the Jews the Synagogue of Satan. To be a true Jew, you MUST NOT BE IN A STATE OF UNBELIEF.

    1. Paul's picture of grafted branches offer an excellent picture of who and what we are to become and be in and with abiding faith. There is no distinction between Greek or Jew. No partiality.

God is One and we are One in God.

This is a concept wholly lost on today's society. Their blindness is nearly complete thanks to the work of the enemy via sin. That is the reason why we are still here -- the number of those once blind who now can see is not yet complete! The fullness of the Gentiles and our Jewish brothers and sisters has not yet been seen.

If we are to be known for the way we Love one another then will we not be judged all the more by the way we FAIL to Love one another? This is but one reason why James goes to such lengths to deride the sins of the tongue and our need to tame it!

We should all think before we speak and that thought should abide and be rooted in the Love of Christ.

I say this to NO ONE in particular but that our eyes be fixed on Christ and that Christ be that which we reflect in all that we are. May that which is not reflective of Him be sluffed-off as a dead skin that new growth may come forth bearing witness to the grace and mercy poured-out on us as sinners forgiven and washed white by the blood of the Lamb.

Love God. Love people as you Love yourself and do loving things!

Can anyone point to any greater purpose than that? Anyone doing these things is One in Spirit and One as part of the body of Christ. We have differentiation, one to the next person in being wholly unique in how we were crafted by the Father. Just as cells of the body differ one to the next; so do we the body of Christ.

Yet we are made to be One and are One in Christ. The glorious diversity which is humanity was made to be One in Christ Jesus our Lord who is LORD forever and ever.

      Amen.

This is just part of the witness we bear. This is the story the world needs most. That we are all made in the image of God and together are called to love each other as wholly worship to Almighty God our Father and Creator of heaven and earth. We were made to witness Christ crucified in our lives and our complete and irredeemable salvation, sanctification and justification by His blood and spotlessness in the sight of Almighty God.

8 but God shows his love for
us in that while we were still
      sinners, Christ died for us.

      (Romans 5:8 ESV)

There is NO greater truth that this.

    3. PR,

Your words are like a balm, and unfortunately there seems to be very little of that here. And I include myself in the critique. Maybe it’s just me, or maybe the wrong comments are sticking in my mind too firmly, but there’s a lot of traffic here from people who are MORE RIGHT than everybody else. They seem to have a diamond elixir that cuts straight through to divine truth, and NOTHING is going to stand in the way of their proclaiming it. I smell the foul stench of pride, and not the good kind.

I hope that your influence, and that of kindred spirits will prevail. I’m looking at this site through the eyes of an “outsider”, not those in the choir section with whom old Sunday school grudges are exercised. I understand the general nature of online comment sections, and I’ve laid my own heavy hand on occasion. But people need to put themselves into the heart and struggling mind of people who come here desperately searching. But there’s too often an air of “inside baseball”, with people one-upping each other over the “real” interpretation of any given line of Scripture. And remarkably, EVERYONE else is wrong.

I arrived at this site a couple of years ago, quite by accident. Or was it? My path has been an unusual and sometimes twisted adventure. I met the Lord about 50 years ago, and spent my formative years in the bosom of the Southern Baptist Church. Then a lot of other things happened. I wandered far away, figuratively and literally. But the inherent greatness planted in those years never left me, and I have slowly returned.

But let me tell you. I do not like much of what I see in the Evangelical church now, as opposed to times past. In many respects I feel like a type of stranger. The undercarriage is still there, but much of the rest seems terribly bent and broken. Maybe it’s a sign of the times in which we live, but when I look at much of the Evangelical church, I see pugilistic people with nasty attitudes, grasping for worldly political favor and power. And I see very little of the spirit of the Lord. I see and hear a lot of Christians screeching amongst themselves about “the world” while evidently spending very little time in it. But out there are the people we’re supposed to be reaching, not safely situated in the choir loft, and not born of our own “culture”.

When some of those desperate and searching people wander through here...what are they going to find?

      DW

    4. DW,

God can make use of anything to bring good according to His purpose(s). I firmly believe that those desperately searching and wandering people who need Him the most will find Him.

      I did.

Truth be told, He was standing there the whole time.

I was baptised in early grade school with my younger brother because he had to be baptised to get placement in a Lutheran care facility. Not long after that my family walked away from the church -- a 30-year hiatus in my case.

When we come to the end of ourselves we reach the place where the Lord can move and do great things. Not that we as humans hold power over the Almighty, but I believe He seeks the humble, the meek and the contrite. Is that not what we are told by His Word?

The world is a symphony playing out-of-tune in an unintelligible concatenation of voices that are heard but little understood. The only common direction I see is that being headlong to destruction. The sin of pride burns brightly like a torch.

We were made for so much more than this. Being right is nothing. Being in Christ is everything. That is the reason why I do what I do. I know I am not always right but I also know that as long as I am pointing others to Christ, that as long as I encourage them to ask the BIG questions and fearlessly seek God for His answers I am not wrong.

Nothing happens in this space, in this place or in all of creation that goes unnoticed by the LORD. Nothing surprises Him because as we all know, He is already there.

My daily prayers are and continue to be for the saints, their continued encouragement, that their faith increase to share their story, their testimony, with the lost that they may too be found in Christ to the Glory of God.

Thank you for sharing and thank you for caring!

      Blessings, always.

We associate the end time events with "birth pangs" ... they come, then ease off, getting closer and closer, harder and harder until the baby is born. Do we know that the rapture is the "birth time"? Maybe the rapture of the church is actually one of the birth pangs and the pangs continue until Jesus returns .......the birth!

  33. The eclipse may be tied to the legal action taken by 70 nations against Israel reported in BIN today: "The Organization of the 70 Nations has established an international court and, as its first official act, will hold a session on Mount Zion in Jerusalem to judge on the Trump peace plan, officially titled “Peace to Prosperity: A Vision to Improve the Lives of the Palestinian and Israeli People”. The court will also make a judgment concerning the Israeli government’s intention to implement the plan, calling on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the President of the United States, Donald Trump to defend their decision to relinquish the Biblically mandated borders of the Land of Israel, an act that contravenes the Torah. Also listed as defendants are the Israeli High Court and The International Court of Justice in The Hague." This is righ tout of the Bible: Gog and Magog” are mentioned here. In Genesis 10 we read how the 70 nations of the world came from the descendants of Shem, Ham and Japheth – the sons of Noah. Those who are familiar with the numerical values of letters and words in Hebrew – the Hebrew language does not have numbers, but the letters of the alphabet are used to indicate numbers. Which means that every word has a numerical value. It is surprising to discover that the numeric value of Gog and Magog is 70: 3-6-3 and 6-40-3-6-3, which equals 70. The number 70 appears time and again in the Bible and Jewish writings. In addition to the seventy nations, languages and sacrificed oxen during Sukkot, Jacob went to Egypt with seventy souls, Moses appointed seventy elders, King David lived seventy years, and the Babylonian captivity lasted seventy years. According to the Rabbis, God has seventy names and there are seventy aspects to the Torah. And the numeric value of Gog and Magog also equals seventy! It is probably no coincidence that there were 70 nations meeting together in Paris in 2017, and it may have a deeper meaning.

Take yourself out of the equation. Transport yourself bake in time to the very moment and start with the last supper through all four gospels at the same time. Then ask, why did the dead rise on first fruits if according to you they rose at all. And also why did Jesus ascend 40 days later?

  38. I just read a comment by Nan, I didnt go back far enough. My reason for believing in a Fall rapture is biblically based. And at no time did I predict the rapture would be this Fall. The truth is I dont know when the rapture will be and neither do any of the other knuckleheads on this site.

All I wrote was that I thought it would be in the Fall. Not necessarily this one.

As ive written before, my reason for a Fall rapture is based on the days given between the rapture and return and the remaining feast days unfulfilled. The rapture will be coordinated with the fulfillment of these days.

With that said, I understand your angst I want it to happen too.

If the scripture in question is true then Jesus was not the first fruits. After Jesus died according to this suspicious passage it says that O.T. saints got up and walked around and were seen in Jerusalem. Come on! Does that make any sense?

The O.T. Saints, all the patriarchs, Noah, Moses, Abraham will not live again until the first resurrection.

  40. The unfulfilled feast are:
Trumpets - The Harvest Time/New beginning
Atonement - The Affliction of their souls
Tabernacles - A time of thankfulness, gladness and expectancy.

The object here is to see that since the offering of the completed Messiah was made on Pentecost of Acts 2 for the Jews, and since they later rejected Jesus as the Messiah, God opts to place them on hold while he deals with the new covenant people, the Church. This requires that Jesus come again to complete His role for the Jews.

Pentecost becomes the pivotal feast, because the shadow cast into the future by the Pentecost of Acts 2 includes not only the new offering of Jesus, but also the anointing of the witnesses who carried the message of the Messiah to the Jews.

When Jesus takes His freed captives home with Him on Ascension Day, He casts the shadow himself of the Rapture, coming after 40 days of warning about the coming destruction.

Now, in the future, the shadow cast from the Pentecost of Acts 2 requires that witnesses be anointed and begin offering Jesus as the Messiah to the Jews.

Scripture tells us that God will anoint His last two witnesses to be the preachers of righteousness to the Jews.

When they begin to preach on Pentecost, it will be to the Jews, because
    the Church is gone!

They will be pointing at the Rapture to demonstrate to the Jews that again they were warned, and again they were stiff- necked and so again they missed Him.

    ReplyDelete
  41. The Last Sign:

    PAUL SETS US STRAIGHT

At the end of the 40 days warning, something unexpected happens to the freed captives that had been raised. They are taken to Heaven, captive now to Jesus, so instead of receiving the Kingdom on earth as a reward, as promised in their covenant, they will now have a place in the rulership of the Kingdom under Jesus when He returns along with the full harvest of His labor that he had previously claimed on Ascension day.

Jesus, The Messiah, ascended with His captives 40 days after they arose on the feast of First Fruits. That's part of the Messiah landscape that is included in that feast which is casting its shadow into the future of the Church to set the time precisely. And, that's a picture of the Rapture and the time for its occurrence. And it's landscape shows that it came at the end of a 40-day warning period to the Jews.

  42. Hello everyone, just wanted to let you know that Mainer has been removed. I'm always above board when I have to do this and have only had to do it to a few others.

    Basic reason is as follows:

Mainer was warned several times. Once about mocking Asians. Other times about tone. Several people messaged me with concerns. I tried to reason with him and I explicitly showed him our commenting rules (on the About page and viewable by clicking "Features" near Post a Comment). I turned a blind eye many times, but I won't let it continue anymore because I believe it was starting to stifle a healthy, Christian conversation here.

I hope that is understandable. The last straws were the continued logical fallacies and personal attacks today ("knuckleheads", "weak", and so forth). There's a way to talk to brothers and there is a way not to. If you differ, that's great. More power to you, but don't mock, ridicule, and attack. If that's your style 1. learn about Jesus and how he approached people and 2. learn how to share your thoughts without attacking people personally.

    Blessings to you all.

But dont be upset. The Lord will eventually come. In the meantime dont put those crack pipes away just yet, someone will come up with another feel good date involving some star/planet conjunction or a loose number correlation of some kind.

Maybe some of you dont mind disappointment. I personally try to avoid it, but maybe some of you dont mind this because you know that soon Mr. Rich or someone else will come up with something and fill that crack pipe yet again.

For this reason ive decided not to comment on any more dates proposed here no matter how ridiculous they may be. It will take some discipline but I think I can do it.

5/29/2020 (Pentecost) to 9/17/2020 (Trumpets) this year = 111 days

    Zechariah 2:8

8 For thus says the Lord of hosts: “He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye.

  47. July 11th 2020 - Early Morning waking from Rapture Dream

In my dream, I recalled being with others outside on a perfectly blue sky day. I don’t recall who I was with or the time of day. Suddenly we heard the sound of deep thunder clapping unlike I’ve ever heard before. It was almost like the sound of the Earth’s foundation being cracked open. I looked up into the sky to see pieces of the blue sky to begin to break apart and the black of the universe appear. As the cracking continued, a form of the Cross of Christ appeared and I exclaimed, “it’s Jesus”. Instantly from the center of the Cross a being in white began to descend. With the anxiousness of the moment, I awoke.

    I wish I could say, I felt elation. I didn’t.
I wish I could say, I began to rise into the Heavens when I looked up and saw Jesus. I didn’t.

I do recall waking and immediately praying to Jesus for understanding and forgiveness. I don’t understand many things but I believe God is sending messages across the globe that His Son’s return is soon. I pray that those in my circle of souls will be given similar dreams to confirm His message of preparation. I pray a prayer of absolute surrender and ask for the oneness that Jesus prayed, to be filled with His Spirit and have the understanding He wants me to have and the wisdom to speak or to be silent as He directs.

    Lord, please hear my prayer.
