Technological Shelf Life: Why the Rapture and Tribulation Are Imminent in Our Time

Dear reader, as we approach the close of 2025, the world hurtles toward the end game at an unprecedented pace. Technological marvels that once seemed the stuff of science fiction are now reality, promising to reshape human existence in ways unimaginable just a generation ago. But amidst the excitement, a sobering truth emerges for those with eyes to see: these advancements are systematically reversing the divine curses and judgments God instituted after the Fall in Eden, the Flood, and the Tower of Babel. This isn’t mere progress; it’s a prophetic clock ticking down, signaling that humanity’s rebellion has reached a critical threshold. God, in His mercy and justice, will not permit sinful man to fully undo His decrees. The rapture of the Church and the onset of the Tribulation—the time of Jacob’s trouble (Jer. 30:7)—loom on the horizon, perhaps within this very decade.

The Bible warns that the last days will be marked by knowledge increasing (Dan. 12:4), and we’re witnessing that explosion right now, driven by artificial intelligence (AI) and other innovations. Yet, this “progress” carries a shelf life—a point beyond which God intervenes, as He did at Babel when mankind sought to “make a name for ourselves” (Gen. 11:4). Today, five fundamental shifts stand out, each undoing a foundational curse. We’ll examine them one by one, grounded in Scripture, and see how they point to the imminent return of Christ. As we do, I urge you: test these things against God’s Word (1 Thess. 5:21), and if the Spirit convicts you, don’t delay in turning to Jesus while there are still a few fleeting moments left.

1. The Curse of Death: Humanity’s Quest for Eternal Life

In the Garden of Eden, after Adam and Eve sinned, God expelled them to prevent access to the Tree of Life, lest they “live forever” in their fallen state (Gen. 3:22–24). This introduced mortality as a merciful barrier, ensuring sin wouldn’t perpetuate eternally without judgment. The Apostle Paul echoes this: “The wages of sin is death” (Rm. 6:23). For millennia, death has been the great equalizer, a reminder of our need for redemption.

But now, in 2025, humanity stands on the cusp of reversing this curse through de-aging techniques and AI-driven longevity research. Harvard geneticist David Sinclair predicts an “age-reversing pill” could be available by 2035, potentially allowing people to live indefinitely in good health.1 Biotech firms like Altos Labs and Calico are pouring billions into therapies that target cellular senescence, effectively turning back the biological clock.2 AI is accelerating this, with tools like AgeXtend identifying molecules for healthy aging3 and deep learning models predicting biological age with unprecedented accuracy.4 Companies such as Retro Biosciences are developing treatments to reverse cellular damage and enhance mitochondrial function, aiming for radical life extension.

Imagine a world where death becomes optional, where sinful humanity “eats from the tree of life” through science. This isn’t hyperbole; it’s the stated goal of longevity pioneers who envision humans living hundreds of years. Yet Scripture is clear: God alone holds the keys to life and death (Rev. 1:18). As we approach this reversal, the prophetic shelf life expires. The rapture must precede such hubris, rescuing believers before God pours out wrath on a world that defies His order (1 Thess. 5:9).

2. The Curse of Labor Pains: Erasing the Pains of Childbirth

Eve’s curse after the Fall was explicit: “I will make your pains in childbearing very severe; with painful labor you will give birth to children” (Gen. 3:16). This wasn’t mere physical discomfort but a divine reminder of sin’s consequences, tied to the miracle of life itself. For millennia, women have carried this burden, a testament to humanity’s fallen nature.

Today, however, technology is rendering this curse obsolete. While C-sections and epidurals have mitigated pain for decades, the horizon holds artificial wombs—ectogenesis—that could eliminate natural childbirth altogether. In 2025, prototypes like the EXTEND system are advancing, sustaining premature fetuses outside the body and shifting paradigms in neonatal care.5 Researchers are achieving partial ectogenesis, transferring fetuses from human uteruses to artificial environments, with full gestation potentially viable soon. Japan’s breakthroughs in mammalian artificial wombs highlight how this tech could address fertility crises, allowing gestation without a mother’s body.6 Ethical debates rage, but the trajectory is clear: pain-free, womb-free reproduction.7

God designed childbirth’s pains as a curse, yet man’s ingenuity seeks to bypass it entirely. This reversal signals the end of an era, where humanity plays God with creation itself (Ps. 139:13–14). As these technologies mature—likely within years—the divine order unravels, hastening the day when Christ calls His Church home, before the full rebellion of the Tribulation unfolds (2 Thess. 2:3–4).

3. The Curse of Toilsome Labor: The End of Work Through AI

Adam’s curse mirrored Eve’s: “Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life” (Gen. 3:17–19). Labor became arduous, a daily grind reflecting separation from God’s provision. Work, though dignifying, was meant to humble us, pointing to our need for a Savior who offers rest (Mt. 11:28).

Enter the present AI revolution, promising to abolish toil. Tesla’s Optimus robot, a humanoid designed for “unsafe, repetitive, or boring tasks,” is scaling production, with factories aiming for millions annually.8 Elon Musk envisions these bots ending poverty and making work optional, creating “universal high income” through tireless automation.9 Competitors like China’s humanoid army are accelerating this, outpacing U.S. efforts.10 By 2026, projections suggest 50,000 units, transforming industries and rendering human labor obsolete.

This isn’t liberation; it’s defiance. God ordained toil to curb idleness and foster dependence on Him (2 Thess. 3:10). As AI usurps this, society edges toward the Antichrist’s system, where buying and selling hinges on allegiance (Rev. 13:16–17). The shelf life here is short—the rapture approaches to spare believers this deception.

4. The Curse of Earthly Confinement: Reaching the Heavens Once More

At Babel, mankind united to build a tower “that reaches to the heavens,” prompting God to confuse languages and scatter them (Gen. 11:1–9). This judgment confined humanity to earth, preventing premature cosmic ambition that could amplify rebellion.

In 2025, SpaceX’s Starship is reversing this, quickly achieving full reusability and enabling routine space access. The FAA has greenlit 25 launches this year, with orbital refueling tests advancing moon and Mars colonization.11 Successful test flights, including booster recoveries, mark progress toward cost-effective, reusable rocketry.12 With over 140 Falcon launches and multiple Starship tests, SpaceX is launching every few days, paving the way for humanity to “reach the heavens” en masse.

God halted Babel to preserve His plan; now, as barriers fall, we see the setup for end-time judgments, including cosmic signs (Lk. 21:25). The Church’s departure is certainly near, as God will not let unregenerate man colonize the stars unchecked.

5. The Curse of Division: Uniting Languages Through AI

Babel’s scattering included language confusion, dividing nations to hinder unified sin (Gen. 11:6–7). This diversity fostered humility and reliance on God for communication.

AI translation in 2025 is dismantling this, enabling seamless, real-time cross-language interaction. Google’s advancements allow live speech-to-speech translation with minimal delay, breaking barriers in conversations.13 Tools like Cresta’s multilingual AI empower agents in multiple languages, reshaping customer service and global commerce. Predictions for 2025 and 2026 see AI-powered conversations everywhere, fostering unity across cultures.14 Devices and apps now handle two-way translation flawlessly, making language divides “moot.”15

This reunification echoes Babel’s ambition, setting the stage for a one-world system under the Antichrist (Rev. 13:7). As divisions fade, the top-half of the prophetic hourglass empties—the Bride of Christ will be caught up soon (1 Thess. 4:16–17).

The Looming Time of Jacob’s Trouble: A Call to Faith

It’s no coincidence that these reversals converge now. Antisemitism is surging globally, fulfilling prophecies of Israel’s distress (Zech. 12:2–3). In 2024 alone, global antisemitic incidents rose 107.7%, largely fueled by far-left activism, according to the Combat Antisemitism Movement’s annual report.16 This hatred manifests across spectra: among Islamists, where antisemitism is fundamentally embedded in a religious ideology that dehumanize Jews and oppose Israel’s existence17; on the political left, where anti-Zionism often veils deeper biases, blending criticism of Israel with calls for its dismantling16; and in the far-right, where traditional antisemitic tropes resurface in violent extremism and online rhetoric.18 Online platforms in Arabic have seen a revival of antisemitic content post-October 7, 2023, amplifying global trends. Israel’s own government reports highlight this as a persistent threat, with incidents spiking worldwide.19 This tripartite rise—from religious radicals, progressive circles, and nationalist fringes—underscores the spiritual battle, including in supersessionist circles that peddle a distorted Christianity by denying Israel’s prophetic role and the distinction between a future redeemed Israel and the Church.

Compounding this, consider Israel as the fig tree in Jesus’ parable (Mt. 24:32–34), symbolizing the nation’s rebirth on May 14, 1948, after centuries of dispersion.20 Scripture likens Israel to a fig tree (Hos. 9:10; Jl. 1:7), and its “putting forth leaves” in 1948 signals the nearness of summer—the end times. Jesus declared, “This generation will not pass away until all these things take place” (Mt. 24:34), with Psalm 90:10 possibly defining a generation as 70 to 80 years.20 Now, 77 years later, the Israelis alive during that rebirth are rapidly diminishing as the 1948 cohort—now at least 77—is shrinking fast. By 2027, this small group could halve, emphasizing the urgency: we’re on overtime, with the Tribulation’s start likely in the mid-to-late 2020s and Christ’s return by the mid-2030s.20 The hour is late; the final watch is upon us.

God will not allow full reversal of His curses. The rapture draws near where God will remove the Restrainer (2 Thess. 2:7)—the Holy Spirit-indwelt Church—unleashing Tribulation. But you can escape: “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31). Acknowledge your sinfulness, trust His death and resurrection for forgiveness (1 Cor. 15:3–4), and receive eternal life. Don’t wait—the signs scream urgency. Place your faith in Him today, before it’s too late. Today is the appointed time. Today is the day of salvation. Tomorrow isn’t promised.

  1. Thank you, my brother, that's an excellent summary. God can't wait any longer. Things are moving fast, and the enemy cannot overcome the Bible. The Word must be above all else, not below.
I'm not sure if this is clear, since I'm using translation to write and it's not easy to explain in translation. The spellchecker is giving me trouble.
