RAPCON 1

Following the horrific terrorist attack by Hamas on October 7, 2023, I wrote an article entitled "Where Is This Going?" In that article, I discuss where I thought things were headed in the Middle East from the viewpoint of Bible prophecy.

One of the topics I discuss in that article concerns the nature of some of the prophetic particulars in regard to the attack of Gog-Magog described in the book of Ezekiel. And in light of recent events in the Middle East, I feel compelled to revisit that and some related issues.

Of course, I didn't know any better than anyone else what the next two years might bring. But after watching the Israeli military go after Hamas like a hungry cat going after a pack of scurrying rats for the last two years, suddenly we see God at work stirring the Middle East pot once again. And as He stirs that pot, He is making good use of the spoon He saw fit to place in the White House in January 2025 in the person of Donald Trump.

Now, thanks in large part to what some are calling Trump's 20-point Gaza peace plan, to the surprise of many we are suddenly looking at a possible end to the war in Gaza (or at least a substantial slacking off in the fighting). And as the global push for a two-state solution reaches fever pitch, all of a sudden words like "peace in the Middle East" are being heard in conversations and speeches around the globe. And I don't have to tell most of you what all this is beginning to feel like:

It's beginning to feel like

end-time prophecy just

shifted into a higher gear.

Although hurdles still remain and Hamas continues to squabble over some of the terms of Trump's plan, particularly concerning their disarmament, officially the war is over...at least on paper. Of course, the boots-on-the-ground reality could yet take a different turn. And I say that because within a week after signing the agreement, Hamas violated the ceasefire at least three times, and Israel responded forcefully. Oh, and Hamas claims they can't find over a dozen of the bodies of deceased hostages they promised to return.

So, at this point one would certainly be justified in asking the same question I posed two years ago:

Where is this going?

Rather than hit this question head on, however,  I plan to take a different tack on things this time and review some of the connections between three of the key events in the end-time scenario: the Rapture, the attack of Gog-Magog, and the Tribulation. I want to go over some of the reasons why I am convinced from Scripture that the catching away of the Church must precede God's crushing of the Gog-Magog coalition, and why God's crushing of the Gog-Magog coalition must precede the launching of Tribulation. In the process, I also want to toss something I wrote in that October 2023 article in the trash can.

And as prophetic events unfold and develop before our eyes, I will have more to say about something I call RAPCON 1—an obvious play on words inspired by DEFCON 1, which is the highest possible state of alert for a nuclear war.

The catching away and the crushing

Opinions certainly vary on some of the details of Gog-Magog—and although some highly respected Bible teachers disagree, I personally am convinced from Scripture that this attempted existential attack on Israel by a coalition of nations that includes Russia, Iran, Turkey, and several Northern African nations must of necessity come after the Rapture and before the Tribulation. And as I have discussed before, I am convinced Gog-Magog is in fact a key event that leads to the scenario that gives rise to the treaty of Daniel 9:27 that launches the Tribulation in the first place.

And I will continue to be so convinced until things turn out differently.

Which I admit they could. But due to my view of Gog-Magog as a key event that (a) follows the Rapture and (b) precedes and helps lead to the launching of the Tribulation, it is easy and natural for me to view it as a key piece of the prophetic puzzle that knits together other key end-time events.

One of the reasons I am convinced from Scripture that the Rapture occurs before Gog-Magog is because Ezekiel makes it clear that God's intervention in this attack is His way of turning His face back to His people Israel after almost two thousand years, as He prepares to draw a remnant of them to faith in their Messiah during the Tribulation:

29Neither will I hide my face any more from them: [which is basically another way of saying "I will turn my face back to them"] for I have poured out my spirit on the house of Israel, said the Lord GOD.

(Ezekiel 39:29 AKJV / emphasis & [comments] added)

As God turns His face back to Israel, the fact that God tends to deal with Israel and the Church separately suggests that He is finished with His dealings with the Church and so the Church Age is complete, which means we are home and dry. Many overlook the fact that Paul strongly supports this idea in Romans:

25For I would not, brothers, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness [Greek: pléróma] of the Gentiles be come in. [See remarks below.]

26And so all Israel [i.e. Jews who change their minds about the Messiah] shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

27For this is my covenant to them, when I shall take away their sins. [See remarks below.]

(Romans 11:25–27 AKJV / emphasis & [comments] added)

The blindness Paul speaks of is clearly part and parcel of God turning His face away from His people temporarily because they rejected and crucified their Messiah. At the same time, God uses it as an opportunity to begin to focus His attention on this new body of believers known as the Church.

In this context, "the Gentiles" mentioned in verse 25 refers to the newfound Church, and "until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in" is unquestionably a reference to the Rapture. The word Paul uses here (pléróma) was used in those days to indicate that the entirety of a ship's crew and all designated passengers were on board and so the ship was ready to set sail.

And as soon as that last person gets saved and the body of Christ is complete, the Church will be prepared to cast off.

Thus, Paul is telling us that Israel's blindness will be removed after the Rapture. And Ezekiel is telling us that when God delivers Israel from the attack of Gog-Magog, He will no longer hide His face from them (i.e. He will turn His face back to them) and will remove the blindness Paul speaks of.

The pieces all fit together:

Rapture → Gog-Magog

In verse 27 above, the salvation of the Jewish remnant comes during Daniel's 70th Week, when approximately one-third of Israel will come to faith in their Messiah and be protected throughout the Great Tribulation so they can be ushered into the kingdom at the Second Coming, and the remaining two-thirds who continue to reject that Messiah will perish (Zech. 13:8–9).

Now, I admit that for me personally, if we are in a situation where the pre-conditions of Gog-Magog that we will review momentarily are all satisfied, thus giving that attack a prophetic green light, I sometimes feel as if the Rapture is a wee bit more imminent than usual. It's imminent with a capital "imm." It's like when the nukes are ready to start falling and it's DEFCON 1. Except in this case I might say...

It's RAPCON 1.

If it's go for launch for Gog-Magog, then anticipating the Rapture just feels like slightly clearer sailing. In that case, nothing else would have to happen after the Rapture to satisfy the pre-conditions that green-light Gog-Magog. It could be (and I am inclined to believe it will be) a classic case of bada-bing bada-boom: The Rapture occurs (removing the Restrainer), Satan makes that evil thought arise in Gog's mind, the players gather for the attack, God stomps their guts out, saves His people Israel, and the events that lead to the treaty of Daniel 9:27 that launches the Tribulation are off and running.

It strikes me that many people aren't familiar with these so-called "pre-conditions" for Gog-Magog. I devote a portion of my October 2023 article to these pre-conditions, but I feel compelled to review them here because I have a bit more to say in their regard in the remainder of this article.

The checklist

Ezekiel's prophecy in chapters 38–39 tells us some prophetically significant information about Israel's future and its condition in the end-times. For example, Ezekiel makes it clear that this attack will come after Israel has been regathered into their land and re-established as a nation in the last days (Ezek. 38:8). And as everyone knows, this part of Ezekiel's prophecy has certainly been fulfilled, culminating on May 15, 1948.

But he also mentions three pre-conditions that would be true of Israel at the time of the attack of Gog-Magog. Here is the passage in question:

7Be you [i.e. Gog] prepared, and prepare for yourself, you, and all your company that are assembled to you, and be you a guard to them. 8After many days you shall be visited: in the latter years [i.e. the last days] you shall come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, [i.e. in the last days, the Jewish people will be regathered into their land from all over the world] and they shall dwell safely [Hebrew: betach—see comments below] all of them. 9You shall ascend and come like a storm, you shall be like a cloud to cover the land, you, and all your bands, and many people with you.

10Thus said the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into your mind, and you shall think an evil thought: 11And you shall say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; [see comments below] I will go to them that are at rest, [some translations read "a peaceful people," and the Hebrew is shaqat] that dwell safely, [Hebrew: betach] are all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,

(Ezekiel 38:7–11 AKJV / emphasis & [comments] added)

Besides the fact that Israel will be regathered into her land and re-established as a nation in the last days, Ezekiel also mentions three specific pre-conditions that must be true of Israel at the time of the attack of Gog-Magog, and these three pre-conditions are as follows:

1. Israel must be a land of unwalled villages (v. 11).

2. Israel must be dwelling safely (vv. 8, 11).

3. Israel must be at rest (v. 11).

Although nos. 2 and 3 might sound like more or less the same idea, the Hebrew used is different and suggests two different things. Let's consider these three items, and the last one is key.

1. Unwalled villages.

A number of good people have a tendency to automatically interpret Ezekiel's references to "unwalled villages" to mean that Israel cannot have any walls around anything throughout the entire country. No walls along any part of their border. Then they use this wooden interpretation to argue that Gog-Magog cannot occur until Israel tears down all the walls they built to separate Israel proper from much of the West Bank in order to limit Palestinian hostility in the region...a move that would require some radical geopolitical changes.

But is that what Ezekiel actually means?

I am convinced this is not what Ezekiel means. Consider: Ezekiel lived in the Middle East in the 7th–6th centuries BC, and at that time in that part of the world it was common for cities to be fortified by walls for protection from attacks by any enemy groups that happened to be in the region. So, for people in Ezekiel's day, an "unwalled village" was basically a city that lived in relative peace rather than in fear of enemy attacks.

Of course, if such an unwalled city were attacked for whatever reason, it would be an easy target since it was undefended by the walls that protected most cities. As a result, that city would most likely fall and be taken over or destroyed by the attacking group.

So, Ezekiel's emphasis here is simply that at the time of the attack of Gog-Magog, cities throughout Israel will enjoy a state of relative peace—they will not be living in a state of constant fear of imminent attacks by an enemy. People won't be hiding in bunkers. Life will go on pretty much as normal for the great majority of people in Israel.

Is Israel in such a condition today? Absolutely. Although they have been involved in conflicts over the years, and there have certainly been isolated instances of violence in the nation (like October 7, 2023), generally speaking life in Israel goes on pretty much as normal for the great majority of people. They may be a bit on their guard in certain situations, but they certainly don't live in a state of constant fear of imminent enemy attacks.

So this one is good to go.

Pre-condition no. 1: GO

2. Dwelling safely.

The phrase "dwelling safely" is used twice, once in v. 8 and once in v. 11, and in both cases the Hebrew word is betach. Note that the idea of betach is closely related to what we just discussed concerning "unwalled villages."

The word betach, especially when it is used in reference to a nation, is normally translated as follows:

betach (n.) — In regard to a nation: a condition of peace and security resulting from complete confidence in one's ability to defend oneself.

In other words, the simple reason that Israel is a "land of unwalled villages" today where life goes on as normal for most Israelis is because they know Israel possesses a very powerful military that they know can do a good job of defending their nation.

So is Israel in a condition of betach today? Absolutely.

Pre-condition no. 2: GO

3. At rest.

Although nos. 1 and 2 are satisfied, no. 3 is the one in question.

And this one is black or white.

The Hebrew word used is a form of shaqat (quiet, undisturbed, calm, at peace, at rest). This is one of two Hebrew words the prophet Ezekiel uses to describe Israel at the time of the attack of Gog-Magog, the other being betach—security born of confidence in one's ability to defend oneself.

Israel has basically had a healthy amount of betach ever since they defeated the five enemy nations who jumped on them the day after they declared independence on May 15, 1948. And nothing that has occurred since then has caused it to dim significantly.

But there are questions in the minds of many concerning the interpretation of the word shaqat, and those questions tend to lead them to very different views concerning Gog-Magog.

There are some outstanding Bible teachers who are convinced that the word shaqat implies that there will be total peace and tranquility all throughout Israel at the time of the attack. To hear some describe it, you'd think the word shaqat meant that at the time of the attack, life in Israel must be like the opening scene from The Sound of Music. No violence. No crime. Peace, love, and tranquility on every street corner throughout the entire country.

The problem, however, is that this is highly unrealistic. I mean, when is life ever like this all throughout any country? That's easy: Never!

Understand that when both the words betach and shaqat are used in reference to a nation, they are typically used with a rather specific meaning. When shaqat is used in regard to a nation, it is normally interpreted as follows:

shaqat (v.) — A nation that is shaqat is not actively engaging in a war on a national scale with any other nation or people group.

(See Joshua 11:23; 14:15). In other words, the nation is at rest from war with another nation. And as I said, this one is black or white:

Either they are at war, or they have stood down from war.

That is, the nation may have been at war up until recently, but now they have officially ended that conflict and the fighting has largely ceased. There may be a few skirmishes here and there, but they are no longer at war in a full-blown, national sense with another nation or people group.

Strong's Concordance generalizes this word's Old Testament usage this way:

The distribution [of the 41 usages of shaqat throughout the Old Testament] traces Israel's checkered history of rest [or peace] granted when they trusted the Lord and turmoil [which typically involved armed conflict with surrounding nations or people groups] when they departed from Him.

(emphasis & [comments] added)

Strong's Concordance [Source]

So does the word shaqat apply to Israel at this point? Good question.

Pre-condition no. 3: KEEP READING

Somewhat stretchy

I feel compelled to insert this brief section at this point in order to straighten out something I wrote in my October 2023 article that I feel is in error. This is in keeping with my philosophy of "Go back, get it right, and move on."

Prior to the terrorist attack on Israel by Hamas on October 7, 2023, Israel was not at war with anyone as a nation. They were clearly in a state that could be legitimately characterized by the word shaqat. So, pre-condition no. 3 was clearly satisfied and Gog-Magog had a green light.

But the next day, all that suddenly changed.

The moment Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu officially declared war on Hamas on October 8, pre-condition no. 3 got switched off. I knew from that day forward until the war was over, it was a red light for Gog-Magog.

On October 8, 2023, the attack

of Gog-Magog became a NO GO.

When I sat down to write my article of October 2023, I was painfully aware of this. Judging from the nature of the situation in the Middle East between Israel and terrorist groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, and so on, I dreaded to speculate how long such a conflict could drag on...and up until the last couple of months, there was nothing happening in Gaza to assuage that dread.

Again, knowing that Gog-Magog cannot go down until some unknown future date can make the Rapture feel slightly less imminent for me (it's not, of course, but it's just easy for certain people like me to feel that way).

And as the war dragged on, I felt myself slipping into RAPCON 2...then 3.

As a result, while working on that article my creative side came to the fore. I felt compelled to figure out a scripturally plausible way around that red light, and force Gog-Magog back on track so it could happen at any time.

Now, Ezekiel makes it clear that the Gog-Magog scenario basically kicks off with an evil thought (to destroy Israel) arising in Gog's mind (Ezek. 38:10). But the possibility occurred to me that perhaps that evil thought had already entered Gog's mind prior to October 8, 2023—the day that pre-condition got switched off by Israel's official declaration of war.

By the fall of 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin (a prime candidate for the role of Gog) had already had a major falling out with Benjamin Netanyahu over his response to Russia's war with Ukraine (or the lack thereof in Putin's view), and a frustrated Putin had begun to harbor genuine ill will toward Israel. Plus, Russia had begun to cooperate militarily much more extensively with Iran—another major Gog-Magog player. In other words:

The Gog-Magog coalition was clearly beginning to gel.

As a result, it didn't seem all that unreasonable to me that the thought of wiping out Israel had at least entered Putin's mind before Israel's declaration of war with Hamas on October 8, 2023.

I speculated that perhaps the Gog-Magog scenario had officially kicked off when that evil thought arose in Gog's mind while Israel was in a state of shaqat prior to October 8 (just as Scripture requires), and that perhaps the ensuing outbreak of fighting between Israel and Hamas only amounted to a few preliminary skirmishes that would serve to get Israel riled up and in a fighting mood before the primary attack by Russia, Iran, Turkey, and several Northern African countries went down ("preliminary skirmishes" that Ezekiel neglected to mention for some odd reason).

Perhaps...perhaps...perhaps...

In that article two years ago, I openly admit this idea is "somewhat stretchy."

Now, two years later, I'm inclined to just go with "wrong."

I'm certain this whole idea was a bridge too far, and I only speculated in such a manner because I couldn't bear the possibility of an extended war between Israel and Iran's puppets dragging on for heaven knows how long, which I knew from Scripture would postpone Gog-Magog for heaven knows how long. And even though, as I keep emphasizing, this really has no bearing whatsoever on the timing of the Rapture, still...

I feared I'd be slogging along in RAPCON 3 for heaven knows how long.

But at this point, I have burned that "bridge too far" behind me.

BEFORE, not AFTER

As I mentioned at the outset, another thing I want to touch base with is why I believe Gog-Magog must happen before the Tribulation, and is in fact a key event that helps create the scenario that leads to the treaty of Daniel 9:27 that launches the Tribulation.

First of all, understand that Haram al-Sharif (the Muslims' Arabic name for the Temple Mount) is the third holiest site in Islam, after Mecca and Medina.

OK, straight up: For the entire Muslim world, the idea of the Jews building their Third Temple on the Temple Mount and thus desecrating (yes...desecrating) Haram al-Sharif in the most despicable manner any Muslim could imagine is beyond unthinkable. I once read that Jewish leaders don't even bring up the subject of building the Third Temple on the Temple Mount with regional Arab leaders because they're afraid they might have an apoplectic fit and launch an attack on Israel. But Scripture is clear:

There must be a temple on the Temple Mount by the midpoint of the Tribulation, because it will be desecrated at the abomination of desolation.

So what gives? I discuss this in my December 2021 article, and for the sake of simplicity I identify those who believe Gog-Magog occurs before the Tribulation as the BEFORE group, and those who believe it occurs after the beginning of the Tribulation as the AFTER group—and the AFTER group includes a number of outstanding Bible teachers that I greatly respect.

To hear people in the AFTER group tell it, sometime between now and the start of the Tribulation a fully empowered Muslim world (just as it is today) will, for reasons that are unclear, suddenly decide to roll over and become downright amenable to the idea of allowing Israel to so desecrate Haram al-Sharif. Suddenly they will be motivated to play ball with their Jewish bros and will voluntarily do an about face on the idea of desecrating Haram al-Sharif with the Jews' temple—something that would trigger WWIII today.

But I have yet to hear one single person of the AFTER persuasion offer a plausible explanation as to what will suddenly cause the Muslim world to do a complete 180 and suddenly have such a dramatic change of heart over what is an extremely touchy issue for Muslims all over the globe.

You think some smooth-talking, up-and-coming leader (as in the man who will become the Antichrist) will sweet-talk the Muslims into allowing such a thing?

If you know anything at all about the Muslim world in its current state, you know a lime popsicle has a better chance in the lake of fire.

Ain't happening...end of story. Yet Scripture indicates there will be a Third Temple, and I and many others believe that permission to begin building it will be part of the treaty of Daniel 9:27 that launches the Tribulation.

The AFTER group has no answers for this. None. In my experience, they don't talk about it all that much. They gloss over it, and just casually assume it will happen...somehow. It's just another piece of the prophetic puzzle, so they just jam it in there and move on. And the BEFORE group has a terse reply:

"Not good enough, hoss."

For the BEFORE group, however, explaining the Muslim world's sudden change of attitude is as easy as falling off the proverbial log. Why? Well, possibly because we take into consideration what God says He is going to do to the nations that gather for this attack—all of which are Muslim nations except Russia. And just what exactly is God going to do to these nations that are prepared to wipe out His people Israel? As I said earlier:

He's gonna stomp their guts out.

"Whoa...stop right there, Bible Dude!! Where does it say that?! My Bible doesn't say any such thing!! Now you're just making stuff up!!"

Got a KJV? No? Then go borrow your baby sister's and open it to Ezekiel 39. Over the years, many outstanding Bible expositors have argued about the interpretation of the following verse in Ezekiel's prophecy:

2And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, [that is, destroy five-sixths of your forces] and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:

(Ezekiel 39:2 KJV / emphasis & [comments] added)

And I quoted the King James Version for a reason. Virtually all modern English translations render this as "lead you on" or "drive you on," etc. Nothing about a "sixth part" of anything. At the heart of the issue lie two extremely similar Hebrew words, and each of them appears only once in the Old Testament, both in the book of Ezekiel (one in 39:2 and the other in 45:13).

In Ezekiel 39:2, the Hebrew word Ezekiel uses is שָׁשָׁא (shasha). Strong's Exhaustive Concordance lists the meaning as to annihilate, or to leave but a sixth part. However, the NAS Exhaustive Concordance lists the meaning as (and I'm quoting here) "probably to lead on." [Source]

In Ezekiel 45:13, the Hebrew word Ezekiel uses is שָׁשָׁה (shishshah). Strong's Exhaustive Concordance and the NAS Exhaustive Concordance both list the meaning as to divide into six parts; to leave a sixth part. [Source]

And you can go ahead and exhale, because I'm going to refrain from pushing this concordance business any further. It's like I always say:

When people who know 900 times more about something than I do can't agree, it's time for me to take a step back and chill.

Let me say this, however: From what I've read, I get the distinct feeling that the Holy Spirit may be engaging in a bit of word play. It is entirely possible that elements of both meanings (i.e. "to lead on" and "to leave a sixth part") are present in 39:2. Some excellent commentators have concluded that God is saying something along the following lines, and it makes sense to me:

"Listen up, Gog: I'm in control here, and I'm going to lead you on to wherever I want you for my own purposes. And in the process, I'm going to annihilate you by destroying all but a sixth part of your forces."

In other words:

"I will lead you on...and I'm gonna stomp your guts out."

But think about this: When God intervenes to save His people Israel from the attack of Gog-Magog, He does so by destroying five-sixths of the attacking forces. So when the smoke clears from Gog-Magog, the Muslim world at large will have just witnessed two of the most powerful Muslim military forces in the world (Iran and Turkey) plus several smaller ones get crushed by the hand of God before they can lay a finger on His people Israel. OK, key question:

Q. Do you suppose this might serve as a bit of an "attitude adjustment" for the Muslim world in regard to building the Third Temple on Haram al-Sharif?

A. "Mmm...I guess that could be arranged. Need any help building it?"

Here's the thing: Following God's devastating intervention on behalf of His people in Gog-Magog, the Muslim world will be greatly weakened militarily and Israel will be emboldened and empowered like they've never been in their modern history. So as Israel and the surrounding nations gather to forge a peace agreement in the wake of the devastating result of Gog-Magog...

It's the Muslims who will be

approaching the table with their

hats in their hands...not Israel.

Now, in regard to the giddily hyped two-state solution, understand that Israel has a reputation for being magnanimous in victory. For a stellar example of this, all you have to do is look back at what Israel did after the Six Day War in June 1967. In the wake of Israel's stunning victory in the Six Day War and the retaking of Jerusalem at its climax, Israeli General Moshe Dyan decided to graciously allow the Jordanian Waqf to maintain control of the Temple Mount—a move that mystified many Jews. In other words:

He voluntarily handed the holiest site in all of Israel back to a defeated enemy. But why?! Because he feared that taking control of the Dome of the Rock and the al-Aqsa mosque would set the stage for a future war.

Of course, some argue that all he did was make a future war inevitable. But we shouldn't be too hard on Moshe Dyan, since it is clear today that all of this was part of God's sovereign, end-time plan.

So as a rising world leader gathers the nations together for peace negotiations at some point following the divine devastation of Gog-Magog, I am convinced that an empowered Israel will demand and be granted permission to build their Third Temple on the Temple Mount (many Jewish experts are convinced they can accurately position the Third Temple and leave the Dome of the Rock untouched), and a humbled, weakened Muslim world that's a bit more in a mood to cooperate will acquiesce. In return, Israel will generously agree to some species of two-state solution as a magnanimous show of goodwill and their genuine desire for a lasting peace with their Muslim neighbors.

So as you can see:

These pieces all fit together

just as well as the first set:

Gog-Magog → Tribulation

And I trust you know where that leaves us:

It leaves us right at the doorstep of Daniel's 70th Week.

And it leaves us with one important question:

Are you ready?

Be ready. Stay ready.

As I said, as of October, the Gaza war is effectively over...at least on paper. Trump's 20-point peace plan has been signed, the hostages have been released, and although hurdles still remain to be worked out, at least the fighting has largely stopped except for a few ceasefire violations and the resultant spankings.

Some may disagree and things could always take an unexpected turn, but at this point, I don't think it's too much of a stretch to say Israel has regained a condition of shaqat...at least for the time being. So for people like me...

It's starting to feel like RAPCON 1 again!

But let me be the first to say that this situation could get flipped on its head in a Tokyo minute and before anyone can blink Israel and Hamas could be right back where they started two years ago...or worse. The point is that none of us knows exactly how God has arranged for this to play out.

And in regard to all this RAPCON business, it's time to come clean.

As I worked on this article, it finally slapped me upside the head—and I think it's something important that we should all remember. In reality...

We've been at RAPCON 1 for

almost two thousand years.

Why? Because according to Scripture, RAPCON 1 is actually the only RAPCON level there is. Anything less is simply failing to obey God's Word, because Scripture makes it clear that we are to live in a condition of RAPCON 1—eager, active anticipation of an event that could literally occur at any time, because its precise timing is under the sole authority of a sovereign God.

No? A few verses of Scripture to ponder:

11For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, 12instructing us [Greek: a form of paideuó: to instruct, teach, educate, as a child being taught in a classroom] to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we would live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age; 13looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity and purify for himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good works.

(Titus 2:11–14 / emphasis & [comments] added)

Notice that it is the grace of God that teaches us to look forward to and anticipate the blessed hope of the Rapture.

And a "blessed hope" that you don't think can or will happen anytime soon can hardly be called "blessed."

16For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with God's trumpet. The dead in Christ will rise first, 17then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. So we will be with the Lord forever. 18Therefore comfort one another with these words.

(1 Thessalonians 4:16–18 / emphasis added)

If we're plodding along in what feels to us like RAPCON 3 or 4 and we truly feel as if the Rapture isn't going to happen anytime soon, then Paul's words are really not all that "comforting."

And that tells me we have no business feeling that way.

3If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again [and most agree He is speaking of the Rapture, not the Second Coming] and will receive you to myself; [and there's your first clue] that where I am, you may be there also.

(John 14:3 / emphasis & [comments] added)

Notice that when Jesus said "I will come again," He didn't feel the need to qualify it in any way. He didn't soften or temper it. He didn't say "I will come again...some fine day in the sweet by and by, so you can chill for now."

Oh no. He said:

I. Will. Come. Again.

Period. And the message could scarcely be any clearer:

Be ready. Stay ready.

And Scripture could scarcely be any clearer in regard to the imminence of the Rapture—this is a virtual no-brainer. There are, however, a few who subtly misread this word to some degree. So for the record, here is just about the best definition of "imminent" I can muster:

When we say the Rapture is "imminent," we mean that, as of this present moment, it could happen at any time because based on what God has revealed to us about His Word up to this point, we currently don't see any prophesied event in Scripture that absolutely must happen first.

— From "The Ins and Outs of Imminence" [Source]

So, as far as looking forward to the blessed hope of the Rapture is concerned, any events that are transpiring in the Middle East have no bearing on that, as important as they may be to the advancement of the prophetic scenario.

Yes, we should pay attention to what's happening between Israel and Hamas or Hezbollah or whoever. Yes, we should pay attention to what's happening in regard to the two-state solution. Yes, we should pay attention to the unfolding of the prophetic scenario so as to maintain a sense of how near the Rapture may be. And as far as whether or not Israel is currently in a state of shaqat...

Today, you could make that argument. Tomorrow, who knows?

The point I want to leave you with is that no matter what is happening in the world, there is absolutely no excuse for us to ever slip out of RAPCON 1...and if we do (as I have done on occasion), we need to get our noses back in the Word and get our heads screwed on straight ASAP.

So I'm in RAPCON 1 today, and

I'll be in RAPCON 1 tomorrow.

And with God's help, I'll be in RAPCON 1 when I hear that trumpet sound.

Will you?

  1. Thank you for sharing, brother. This is a good article.

Citing Ezekiel 39:29 and Romans 11:25–27, where God turns His face back to Israel post-Rapture, removing their spiritual blindness, is a good fit/connection. Makes me think of all the connections we've made with Deut. 32:21.

    Blessings.

  2. Good article,

But I have the following questions then -

    1. How in the world will this alliance sneak up on Israel? Are you implying they'll try it during the post-rapturus chaos? Isn't Israel always on alert, even in peace times? Please don't mention Oct of 2023, where even some IDF soldiers claimed it was allowed to happen (I agree. How can the IDF not see Hamas lawnmowers and hangliders coming in? That's another topic).

    2. How can it happen if Trump the ally of them is in power with the American Airforce? Do you think America must be neutralized first before the attack? Is that why God says when he writes ' I will send a fire to Magog AND the isles who dwell confidently' ?
Do you expect nukes to hit American cities so Russia can THEN go into Israel?
But how can that be if Trump is bolstering the army? Would this have to happen in 2029 then when he is out of office? Hopefully not!

    1. The nuke exchange - wouldn't God have to get America out of the way so he can show the Jews he's still there?

And out of the ashes of that war steps the AntiChrist, right?
So Trump could not be that man.

      Thanks

    2. OR......I think the Russians will unload everything that they have and will utterly knock the Western Hemisphere out of the rest of prophecy. Because there’s nothing for us in prophecy. Then, when it says that God will send a fire on the Russian homeland, we know that we have submarines all over the oceans of the world, loaded with ballistic missiles on board. So after we have suffered that initial attack, I think our military will still have enough left to give the command to unload all our submarines on the Russian homeland, which will destroy it.

  4. According to Ezekiel 38 verse 17 magog is the antichrist.

17 "Thus saith the Lord God; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?"

To take an alternate view than that would require you to find an ancillary character to the antichrist that the old testament prophets " prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them". There are many references to the antichrist figure in the old testament. But where are the references to this "extra" character of magog?

There is none, therefore the only possible conclusion is that magog is antichrist.

If the reader rejects that than please indicate where the prophets prophesized about this extra character proceeding the antichrist. I would genuinely love to see that if it exists.

    1. RE: Is Magog the AntiChrist?

      Bob,
You made a very interesting observation of what you think or have come to conclude that Magog is AntiChrist. I would disagree based on the following factors and logic. See if it makes sense, at least in one’s attempt to explain it. Here is the deal. If the AntiChrist is Magog, then who is the Magog that is again set free to make that last ditch effort to overthrow Jesus at the end of the Millennial Kingdom?

It is understood that it is Lucifer that is released from the Prison Planet that Earth is. And it is understood that during the Tribulation Period, Jesus throws both the AntiChrist and the False Prophet alive into the Lake of Fire. There will be no White Throne Trial for them. So, is it that the AntiChrist will be taken out of the Lake of Fire to then mount a 2nd Magog assault?

One is more so inclined to believe as some surmise that Magog is not only a reference to a geographical region, but the demon or Fallen Angle Power or Principality that behind it, ultimately it is Lucifer, etc. I am in agreement though, that the Rapture event will ensue chaos, sufficiently to paralyze the USA's general ability to respond to Israel. However, one is assuming at this point in time, politically that the USA is disposed to still support and defend Israel.

As we are witnessing day-by-day the deterioration of this support and ability of the USA to come on top of all the forces that are ensuring it will fall and burn. Here is a chart that I worked on showing how the USA is as the Statue of Nebuchadnezzar. Starting from the East Coast, the corresponding landmark is the Statue of Liberty herself. In this case it is a veiled Luciferian Mason rendition of the synthesis between Isis and Apollo, etc.

Thus, the Head of Gold corresponds to New York, where the ‘Gold’ or Money is made in Wall Street. Then the Appalachian region corresponds to the Silver portion that then transitions to the bronze portion edging-up to the Mississippi River where the former Spanish Fort of San Carlos, now St. Charles was the ‘Gateway to the West’.

It is just to the west of St. Louis that the 2 branches, as in the legs of the ‘Statue’, so too divided their long way with the Santa Fe Trail and the Oregon Trail. The 2 legs reflect the Great Plains, all the way to the West Coast. Then to the extremities of the 5 toes in how Hawaii is technically a make-up of 5 incorporated islands. And then how in the Alaskan Aleutian Islands, there are made-up of 5 as well at the very end of its chain. This is one’s interpretation. For your discernment.

  5. Also, and we really shouldn't be having this problem anymore with such easy access to online bible atlas look up tools, but please consult one and input the geographic names listed in ezekiel 38 to see where they are actually located instead of where someone says they are located. Below is one that is easy to use and free.

use the "atlas search" to type in the names and then have the courage to accept the results.

In answer to the question above: '2. How can it happen if Trump the ally of them is in power with the American Airforce? Do you think America must be neutralized first before the attack? Is that why God says when he writes ' I will send a fire to Magog AND the isles who dwell confidently' ?'

Won't the advent of the Rapture of the church and it's ensuing chaos sufficiently paralyse the USA's general ability to respond? How long will it take for the remaining non christian population's ability to replace the current (Christian leaning) administration? Won't this effectively neutralise the USA's response to Gog - Magog, without the assumed 'nukes etc' being deployed as suggested above? Thus giving time for the deep state/NWO and the AC to respond to put in place the prophesied strengthened covenant.

Right, but it says clearly there is a 'fire' sent to the 'isles or coastlands'. I do not think it's Europe or even South America. What do you think the fire is then?

Are you suggesting that in the chaos of the post=rapture, Russia will either choose to attack America so it can proceed south without any problem or just go down there without hitting America?

    1. RE: Is the USA in Biblical Prophecy?

      Dirk,
As a Political Scientist by degree, it is irresistible to not want to comment on what you stated about the role of the USA in Prophecy or the End Times. ;0 That question has also festered a lot of Students of the Bible, no? It is on the ‘List’ of, ‘When is the Rapture?’ ‘Who gets to go on the Rapture?’ When does the Gog-Magog War occur?’ In the case of the USA?

How can the most powerful and influential nation is not mentioned in the same vain that, say, Babylon, Greece, and Persia were mentioned in the Prophecies of Daniel. But one can rationalize it in the same way the word ‘GOD’ or YHVH was never mentioned in the Book of Esther. Yet, it was nothing but YHVH, all the while moving and working, ‘behind-the-scenes’. Perhaps that is what will become of the USA, or how the USA is being used to a degree. Thus, one will suggest the ‘conspiratorial’ aspects of what could be the case and why.

Consider that in comparison to the world empires of the ancient past, the USA is a ‘toddler’. If one takes the 1776 AD Declaration of Independence, it is only roughly 250 years old. But if one takes the time-frame from 1620 with the Pilgrims and the Mayflower Compact, then it is 400 years since 2020. And? Well, some End Times Students of the Bible have compared that duration of time to how the Hebrew were in Egypt for 400 years, excluding the time 30 years from when Jacob and his 11 other sons moved down there to be with Joseph, etc.

Many see this as a possible prophetic parallel of an ‘enslavement’ but also of a ‘liberation’ as in a Jubilee to come, perhaps. One has thought about the same questions you pose in where and what the USA will be all about in the End Times. I suspect that the Rapture ‘Reset’ as I call it will factor a lot into those that will be no longer around. Imagine the infrastructure to be affected. Or how the ranks will literally be decimated and not ‘battle ready’ to guard itself, much less Israel or any other nation for that matter.

Now, what one also surmises as part of the reason why the USA will not be a force to reckon with, as they say, is how it will be neutralized from within. All that is stated in a very lengthy study, linked below. So, if you like history, prophecy, conspiracy? It will be worth the read. And if it is too long to read, you can hear it with the A.I., ability to synthesize the main points. It has to do with the Prophecy of George Washington, presumably and how precisely the USA will play a role in the End Times.

  10. At the risk of reigniting a fire, I wanted to add this to the last article's comments on a partial or incomplete Rapture scenario.

    Luke 13:22-28

"He went on his way through towns and villages, teaching and journeying toward Jerusalem. 23 And someone said to him, “Lord, will those who are saved be few?” And he said to them, 24 “Strive to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able. 25 When once the master of the house has risen and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, open to us,’ then he will answer you, ‘I do not know where you come from.’ 26 Then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets.’ 27 But he will say, ‘I tell you, I do not know where you come from. Depart from me, all you workers of evil!’ 28 In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God but you yourselves cast out."

I see this as a microcosmic version of the logical arguments being had earlier. There are some who will read this as Christians later lost to apathy or earthly concerns, and there are some who will read this as "almost-Christians" who almost cared when it mattered.

I see the latter. And I am reminded of Philippians 2:12

"Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling . . . "

Fear and trembling. We should think about that before any of us assume that we know who ought to be taken or left.

In the above example, there are many who are "near" to faith, and therefore close to salvation, but the personal desire to experience the Holy Spirit's calling is absent. They lack a desire or a commitment to the Savior who saves, and it's because they are busy outside the door, doing their thing.

Note that the Master did rise, and that the door was open, and that all were welcome, as we are taught to open our own doors when there is knocking. But once the Master has closed it, it is far too late to start reordering your priorities. It is as the closing of the Ark door for Noah. All were welcome and able, and then there was a moment when all were unable and lost. And it was the Lord who closed up the Ark, just as it will be with the Rapture.

If anything, He is gracious this time around, in as much as many, having survived the initial stages, will have a Tribulation period of years to reconsider their faith, in light of the circumstances, whereas many during the Flood had only hours.

    1. Jeremy, since you have gone here . . . I want to thank Lu and PR for your kind encouragement and prayers for my sons!! I responded to Lu over at rev12daily, as a new thread was already up here. I still am confused about one thing from Lu's/PR's views, however. For the sake of discussion let's assume we're talking only about people who have had a genuine salvation experience but are not following hard after the Lord, are living worldly, apathetic, even unrighteous lives. Are these left-behind saints considered part of the Church, the Body of Christ? If so, how do we categorize them after the Rapture, having been left behind, but still "saved." Is part of Jesus' Body left behind? If they aren't the Church, or the Bride, or the Body, who are they? Trib saints? I always thought the Tribulation Saints were those who came to saving faith AFTER the Rapture, not including saints already saved but left behind because they were living in apathy, out in the worldly weeds? Maybe this whole discussion boils down to differences in theology? Although, it is certainly important if saved Christians can get left behind--I'm not talking about losing one's salvation here. For me a more plausible explanation would be that they were never truly saved in the first place. Perhaps Gary/Jeff would prefer we change the subject😉? All I know is I for one choose the narrow path. I wish all did. Thankfully, it isn't up to me to decide who goes and who doesn't!

    2. I pray for your sons as well. I have two children myself, and sometimes I think they exist only to worry me. But let your worry be a steadfast reminder to prayer and petition. FOR them and TO them. What more can worry add?

They will at least have your support and example. And how many saints have come to Jesus at the very last moment? A great many, I believe. Just as we expect a Tribulation harvest. So let them see your hope and joy. Your endurance, faith, and trust in the Lord, and in them.

I will add that even as early as college, I remember believing and arguing that a person could absolutely choose to walk away from the faith. But I think it must be a conscious choice. Something akin to "locking in your final answer."

And where some might say, "Once saved, always saved," I am also inclined to add that He always allows you to change your answers, too, right up until you've locked it in.

Therefore, all Saved persons will go in the Rapture. But to be a Saved person is to have an ongoing relationship with Jesus. And to earnestly seek righteousness. To not keep up that search for some small period in your life is not condemnation, in its own right. It's merely weakness and sin. But without some fear and trembling, it may lead to conscious separation.

Perhaps the example is best understood by imagining the number of fence-sitters who walked up and down the Ark ramp before it was closed. Thinking it over, weighing the options, and making the move. But with the Rapture, it is altogether more difficult to know how much time you have left to get serious about it all. The Master must shut the door in time.

Put more simply . . . the Master will open the door for us all. And He will shut it, too. So, you better know what you want, and you better move when it's time to move. And if you aren't looking for a chance to spend the evening indoors with Him, then I think you better have alternative plans for outlasting the night.

    3. I can totally relate to offspring being an ongoing reason for worry. They say worry doesn’t help, but that doesn’t help. One thing that I do see is that heaven’s perspective is coming to us in real time. Our Creator presumably had the best of intentions for mankind, but they just wouldn’t listen! So we are getting a big helping of the Father’s Heart and a longing for mercy above all. I may be going off-label here, but I feel deep down that it’s going to be O.K. I know my sons have good hearts in spite of their oft poor choices. And I have this unsubstantiated hope that when we have even more direct access to the Father’s Throne that we can advocate for those we love as Messiah does for us now.

  11. Lu,

I also wanted to say that I'm praying for your situation. I know what those troubles are like, and I can sympathize, if not outright empathize.

But it's obvious that you've turned your love towards a more faithful friend. And I've often wondered to what extent we can ever know another person at all.

But I am positive that there are lessons in the experience that will make you a better Christ-follower.

I have also come to wonder if our glorified bodies might be somewhat more like Adam and Eve's before the Fall, and less like angelic perfection, right off the bat.

In the book of Matthew, Jesus says that those resurrected will not be given in marriage. And, of course, we Rapture nuts all hope to be changed in the twinkling of an eye. But to what? Is Resurrection synonymous with Caught Up and Changed?

Marriage is forbidden in eternity, but if remnant couples from the earthly Tribulation are still allowed to live in families throughout the Millennial Kingdom, then perhaps the loved and lost spouses will still be available for renewal and relationship during that same period, assuming they were saved or survived. The ultimate do-over.

Highly, highly doubtful, but maybe possible? Don't kings and priests need close relationships, too? Can I assume that I'll be able to spend some time with my children for 1,000 years? And can I say the same for a lost wife? A failed marriage?

I think that might be worth some study in the future. As soon as I nail down the End Times. Lol

God keep you, every step of the journey,

    Jeremy

    1. RE: Suffering?

      Jeremy,
Thank you so much as well. All one can do is attempt to learn from such a life experience and count one’s Blessings, ’one-by-one’. Other Brethren have it worse in trials and suffering not to be compared in the world. But even in such cases, we know the Promises of Jesus that provides a measure of context and comfort to rationalize, a bit our sufferings.

We know that whatever type of suffering one is under, Jesus promised to give us the Grace in its corresponding measure to be able to bear under it. At some point in time, perhaps as the LORD sees fit, He will either relieve us of it or it will become one’s Cross to learn how to carry or a ‘Thorn’ in one’s side to learn how and why Grace is sufficient.

I can only speak for myself and say, including myself, that we have to consider the cliché, ‘Let go and let GOD’. It is true. It is that simple but oh, how hard at times and painful. But as it has been mentioned, and we know from Scripture that suffering allows one to know Jesus in a far better and deeper disposition. It is like the time Jesus was invited to eat at the Synagogue Leader’s home. Luke 7:36.

There was that woman that came in and anointed Jesus’ feet. The Pharisee was repulsed but it was a heart issue in that those that sin much and repent much, love Jesus that much more, ideally. What has helped in one’s healing is that one has come to the realization that like Job, he realized the following that was liberating and gave context to his suffering. ‘Naked I came, and naked I will go, blessed be the Name of the LORD’. But notice how Lucifer took everything but his wife. Just saying... :)

I have realized that everything is one has is ‘on-loan’. One’s Father, Mother, Brothers, Sisters, if any, Cousins, Aunts, Uncles, Friends, Sons, Daughters, if any…are just given to you, to me ‘on-loan’. They do not belong to us. We just get to have them for a time and then we have to give them back. And also one often speculates in the ‘what if’. What if Jesus in His Providence actually spared me or us from something far worse?

The only point I would disagree with you Jeremy is that on the contrary, there is Marriage in Heaven. Perhaps not as we understand it on this side of the Rapture, but is not Jesus to marry His Bride? Is there not a Wedding Supper of the Lamb? Does not the Bible close out in a Marriage in Revelation as it began in Genesis? As the Spirit and the Bride, now as one in the sense a husband is within the confines of a marriage one with his wife, say together in unison, ‘whosoever come?’

      Blessings,

  12. RE: ‘RAPCON 1’

    Brother Greg!
How are you? I hope all is well over there. The topic of when the Gog-Magog War ‘1’ is to play-out is for sure one of those subjects that has been debated, like the topic of when is the timing of the Rapture. I can see why the Gog-Magog World War ‘1’ would or could be before the 7-Year Tribulation Period, whenever that will be for the following reason. Note that I put ‘1’ as this is a war that is bracketed with its counterpart or Gog-Magog World War ‘2’ at the end of the Millennial Kingdom.

In that context, of being a war that is before the 7-Year Tribulation Period, it is understood that the Gog-Magog World War ‘1’ will have left 7 years’ worth of fuel to burn on the ‘Mountains of Israel’. This factor has also challenged many who speculate as to the war’s timing. Yet, I also wonder how the presumed Isaiah 17 destruction of Damascus or the catastrophic decimation of Elam in Jeremiah 49 Elam will also factor in the End Times in relation to the timing of all these wars yet to occur.

As to the true location of the Temple you alluded to in not needing the Dome of the Rock to be disturbed? That topic is one of my favorites to have researched. And from a historical and astronomical overlay used, one is convinced that it was and will be over the Dome of the Tablets or Spirits. My model follows the Abraham Family House pattern in how it will eventually be replicated on the Temple Mount.

The supposition is that it will ensure ‘World Peace’, and no more in-fighting amongst the ‘Faiths’ of Abraham. Of course in order to do that, the Temple Mount will need to be split as will Jerusalem and the Promised Land, to the exclusion of Jesus. This will be for the sake of maintaining their false sense of ‘Peace and Security’. I am also more convinced that October 7, 2023 was their ‘9-11’ Inside Job.

The IDF just does not let 20 hours pass before it responds. Based on my military experience, as they say, ‘I do not buy it’. What one is seeing increasingly though, is Russia’s entanglement with Islam to the point-of-no-return. It could be how perhaps, Russia will be leading the Gog-Magog Cohort of Muslims nations. It could be for the following reasons. It is estimated, in the high end that currently Russia’s Army is made-up of about 20% Muslims as it is.

Russia has had a historical foothold in the Middle East since the days of the Czars and their wars with the Ottoman. Now, due to their war with Ukraine, the Chechens, for example and other Muslims have joined the fight on Russia’s side. Many Arab and Muslim states have bought a lot of their military hardware and so on. Perhaps Russia has inadvertently put itself in place it cannot refuse when the call will come to lead the Outer-Ring of Muslims nations against Israel.

Nonetheless, it is good to be reminded to always be ‘Rapture Ready’ regardless of what Generation of the Church Age one is in. The Apostle Paul thought it would have surely occurred in that 1st century generation. I have made a poster of the play-on-words comparing the Rapture to the DEFCON Warning System, i.e., the ‘RAPCON’. It is in a pdf format to download, if anyone is interested in having.

  13. Part 1
Dear, this reflection is not related to the topic of the article, but due to time constraints, I want to pass it on to you. It is a reflection on the time of Noah in relation to the expected rapture of the church. If the coming of the Lord will take place as in the days of Noah, as the Lord Jesus himself repeatedly spoke about, then the day when Noah entered the ark can point us to the day of the rapture. From the Scriptures, it is possible to accurately determine not only the day of the flood, but also the day when Noah entered the ark, which can be important for us.

    1. In Genesis it is written how far in advance the day of the flood was announced to Noah. Gen 7:4: "for yet seven days, and I will send rain on the earth..." Noah was clearly told that after seven days, that is, on the eighth day, the flood would begin.

    2. Furthermore, in Genesis we are told on which day the flood began, and on which day Noah entered the ark. Gen 7:11-13: “… in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the windows of heaven were opened. And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights. On that very day Noah and Shem and Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them, entered the ark.” These verses clearly state that Noah entered the ark on the very day of the flood. This also corresponds to Lot’s situation, because he also left Sodom on the very same day that the entire area was destroyed.

    3. The Lord Jesus speaks in the Gospels that His coming for the church will be like the days of Noah and Lot. Mt 24:37-39: “For as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not know until the flood came and swept them all away, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.”

Many may object that the connection between the Lord’s coming and the time of Noah only refers to a similar situation in the world. However, this may not be true, because in the text above it says: “So will the coming of the Son of Man be, that is, the same time as the days of Noah.” Confirmation of this reasoning can be seen in verse 42 where it is written: “Therefore watch, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.” Here it is said that we do not know the hour when our Lord will come. Many translations in this place say that we do not know the day, but this is a bad translation. The Greek original clearly speaks of an hour. The same is then repeated in verse 44, where it again speaks of an hour that we do not know.

It is therefore very likely that the Lord connected the time of Noah not only with the situation in the world, but also with the day when Noah entered the ark, just before God's judgment began. Likewise, the rapture can occur on this day just before an event occurs that will change the situation on Earth and according to Luke 21:35: ..."that day will come as a snare upon all those dwelling on the face of the whole earth."

    ReplyDelete
  14. Part 2
    4. An event occurred that affected the church worldwide and that had never happened before, since 2017. A man from Africa arose who claimed that the rapture would occur on September 23rd of this year for a billion percent and that the church would not be here on September 25th, 2025, one hundred percent because it would be raptured. He spoke about it with such certainty that many Christians around the world believed it. There was great anticipation of the rapture on this day.

I have often wondered how the cry described in Matthew 25, where it is said: “Behold, the bridegroom is here; go out to meet him,” can be heard. This cry has several requirements from Scripture as to how it should be heard and what it must do.
    1. This cry must not be noticed by the unbelieving world, because it must not know anything until the moment of the rapture.
    2. There must be a discussion between the wise and foolish virgins.
    3. The cry must not be caused by God himself, because even the foolish virgins would have filled their oil, and this is not possible according to Scripture.

However, the cry created by this man from Africa perfectly meets these three requirements. The world did not respond to this cry. Because what the man brought was false and the deadline was not met, the foolish virgins did not change their position and, on the contrary, perhaps even more were added. Last but not least, an intense discussion between the wise and foolish virgins occurred, which continues to this day. This situation fulfilled all three conditions. God used this situation to create the cry from Matthew 25, which has never been heard with such intensity in the last 8 years.

The day when Noah was told according to the Scriptures that the flood would begin in seven days is Cheshvan 10, which is November 1 this year on our calendar. It is exactly 40 days from September 23rd, on which the cry was made that the bridegroom was coming. The day when Noah entered the ark and the flood began is according to the Scriptures Cheshvan 17, which is November 7th to 8th this year on our calendar. Now, from November 1st, we are given a seven-day preparation for the very likely day of the rapture, November 8th, 2025

In conclusion. I know of no other day, nor any other event described in the Bible, that would so clearly point to the time of the rapture as the time of Noah and the revealed day of the flood. Why did God have the exact day of the flood and the day Noah entered the ark written in the Scriptures? I see only one reason why we should see that day and prepare for that probable day of the rapture. To enter the ark with faith in our hearts, just as Noah did, and was saved from God's judgment in the ark. We also now expect the same, that we may escape all the things that are coming upon this world, according to the promise of the Scriptures.

  16. I want to apologize. I've been guilty of thinking that since the times we were expectant weren't seeming to work out, if we all just agreed to 'think not' one day, maybe He would come. But that's foolishness. That applies to those who aren't watching. I'm sorry.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I don't see any reason for you to feel guilty, Cy.

Watching and waiting are hard. And they get harder the more you have real expectation.

But they also get more fruitful, and closer to the truth of the thing. That you are longing for His return, and that you see real reasons to believe that something is different now. Well, that is the truth of our day.

Cy, you are not alone. And the time is fast approaching. And until it comes, and until I can do more to satisfy my own understanding of the times, I will commit to "thinking not" right alongside you.

It won't be today because thieves don't visit when you're home on Sunday. And they don't visit on Monday because nobody likes Mondays. So, maybe Tuesday.

We're at the end of the 6,000 year timeframe. Spread the Word and rest in Him. Will He fail to bring us in?

    I think not.

    2. Lol.

Until the Rapture does come, here's some food for thought. Only read this if you're really, really bored . . .

As I said about the Halloween origin, it's easy to fall back on what we've been told about the past, but the potential still exists for greater understanding. Is it possible that the Celts knew or remembered something about the history of demons and the Flood when they started their traditions?

Is it possible that even our modern interpretations of historical Christianity are off base?

      Of course it is.

When Jesus finally returns to the Mount of Olives, is He returning to the scene of the crime?

Was the picture of Jonah and the plant, at the end of the book, in fact a picture of Jesus and the cross?

      Fun stuff to consider:

      https://c4israel.com.au/articles/was-jesus-crucified-and-buried-on-the-mount-of-olives/

But in this case, particularly, I am led to believe that IF it's possible that Jesus did make the perfect sacrifice on the Mount of Olives, where He will return again . . . then doesn't it add just a bit of weight to the idea that He will also return on the self-same anniversary year of that day?

I know it's easy to lose hope in the pre-Trib Rapture, and very hard to consider a mid-Trib Rapture, but I believe that the truth of the matter lies between these two. Somewhere. And that 2032 is a year to watch for. Perhaps even 2033, if I'm absolutely forced to go there. And that gives me great hope! Because the 70th week may very well be a puzzle to us at the moment, but it's also an almost-present, growing, and rapidly intensifying thing.

We have so many interesting Bible stories to occupy our time with. And so many loved ones to speak to, with each passing day. And I'm trying very hard to see each day, not as a lost day for the Rapture, but as a head-start on my future academic course . . . Kings and Priests 101.

My daily bread, if you will.

In other words, let's look to Him and focus on changing ourselves AND the world. We are NOT the ones with little hope. Be bold, and encourage one another, and all the more as you see the day approaching.

Because it is. And real faith isn't knowing. And it isn't believing. Real faith is trusting.

      Jeremy

P.S. I don't think we'll have to wait very long for the next prophetic clue. We live in "active" times. And that's a blessing, too.

That the church would not be here on September 25th, one hundred percent, because he received this from God himself, to whom he goes to heaven every moment. We know that we have been looking for rapture dates for various events for a long time or that we see these dates in the Scriptures, but I have never seen anyone speak in such a way with one hundred percent certainty about that day. The big problem is primarily that he spoke about having this revelation directly from God.

  20. Delays seem to be built into scripture as a time of trial and testing of attitudes. I’m thinking not only of the maidens waiting for the groom, but Samuel and Saul, Jesus and Lazarus, and even Moses’ mother waiting by the river. The best explanation I’ve heard is that without an initial target date, the delay would be undefined. Without resistance in the form of mockery, we might not build up our determination. Believers can tend to be a little gullible, but that’s not all bad. A tender heart is a responsive one.

I attended a wedding a few years ago where the bride and her company walked down the forest path and set up under the chuppah. They chatted, knitted, rearranged things, looked out the window. The guests got a little antsy. Then the young men on the knoll shouted and blew their shofars: The bridegroom is coming! Everyone stood up, the bride walked back up the path to greet him and help him off his horse. The rest of HIS story.

So different from today’s traditions where the groom waits for the bride (probably while they were dating too.) Things will be done in order and rightness. We wait. Vanity Fair can have their day, but our expectation is NOT in vain.

  21. Saw "Nuremberg" this evening.

No surprise. Ten Jew-haters hanged at the end. And the world's learned response to the Holocaust still disputed 80 years later.

But, I was pleased to see that they included some of the final words of Julius Streicher, the German propagandist.

    "Purim Fest, 1946!"

A clear reference to the book of Esther and the 10 sons of Haman, who were also hanged, or generally "slain," depending on the Bible version you read.

Perhaps there is enough of a mainstream reference there to reach others with the truth of the Bible, and the ever-present struggle of the Jewish nation to live under the Abrahamic Covenant.

It is my understanding that the Scriptures teach the manifestations of the gift of the Holy Spirit have NOT ceased. If there is no prophecy, then there is no teaching, pastoring, healing or evangelizing either.

The Lord via dreams, visions, and rhema (prophetic words) has been warning of coming consequences to the nations, especially America, BUT CESSATIONISTS DON'T BELIEVE THESE WARNINGS ARE FROM GOD. Of course, we are to take what prophetic voices are saying and set their words before the Lord in prayer for the rhema comes through imperfect clay vessels; but at least consider it!

  25. RE: Symphony of the Eclipses
    PART 1/2

    Pastor Rich and Unsealed Family,

…Meanwhile in the Cosmos, you might find this Eclipse-to-Music theory of mine very interesting. This is especially true if you all like Astronomy and how one has attempted to incorporate it into Bible Prophecy. Back in 2012-13, I was heavily involved in the Bible Code phenomena and did a lot of chart matrix coding, etc. I wrote a book about it, here is the free download in PDF for those interested and who believe that there is something to the Bible Codes.

    Book

    REVELATION IN THE BIBLE CODEXES
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rprsJJbcxM0cpBBxYWKt5rHdbE01vN1M/view?usp=drive_link

Anyway, it gave me the idea at that time of how, if the Bible Code phenomena is possible, because it is based on the Hebrew Alef-Bet being numerical, what if Eclipses could be too? With the advent of all the new Astronomy Software, one could actually model any and all types of Eclipses. Then NASA has its Eclipse data bank. It is also interesting that NASA only can go back as far as -4000 Years worth of Eclipse data or observations.

It would take the timeline back around when Adam was created. So, one’s rationale was and is, if one would take the 7 main types of both Solar and Lunar Eclipse and correlate those with the 7 Minor Musical Notes, A to G? What would it sound like? Back then, the project was daunting as one would have to painstakingly log every Eclipse type with each note and play them.

And since one is musically challenged, putting all those types of Eclipses to each type of Musical note to then play them was impossible. But now, with A.I., it took mere seconds to compose. This is an example of how A.I. can be used to glorify the LORD, while we still can. And this Celestial Eclipse-to-Minor Musical Notes theory is perhaps one such piece of evidence that points to the Great Musician and how Creation ‘sings’ back to GOD. Here is the audio file for your discernment.

So, what I used for the time-frame of the Eclipses was based on NASA’s catalogs from Israel's rebirth, May 14, 1948 to July 2, 2026. Why? This is accounting for one’s perceived ‘overlap’ Israel presently has with the Church Age. Here is the Article for further details. Surely, it is compelling that one’s supposition that as YHVH is the Great Mathematician, so is He the Great Musician. Creation is Music being played and glorifying the Creator.

    2. Well, it's not beautiful to my ear, but fascinating. Israeli music definintely leans to the minor chords. I don't know whether it's been that way always; my guess would be yes. And the way their songs end up in the air rather than the typical tension resolved seems rather unique in my limited experience.

    1. RE: Israeli Music in Minor Scale?

      CY and Cry
This attempt at the ‘Symphany of the Eclipses’ is all I am able to achieve on this learning curve of mine. And thanks to A.I., it was a ‘Great Leap Forward’. I suspect a truer sense of the Eclipse Melody could be corresponding to the actual duration of each Eclipse type. But the math involved to assign such factors for each type of Eclipse with is all possible with A.I. now.

Also, if a real violinist would/could play the notes in a harmonizing way, I suspect there is more to be had, perhaps. But like in every culture and peoples, there are joyous celebration songs and melodies. But there are also sad dirges. As with Israel? It is a dichotomy in how the Jews joyously celebrate the Feasts and especially during weddings. But then they fast and mourn on other Feasts like on Av 9, when they lost the 1st and 2nd Temples, etc.

It is reflected even in their National Anthem, the Hatikvah, which means ‘The Hope’. Sharing some personal experience in this regard, I was in the IDF, the Israel Defense Force with the Sar-El Program a while back. I was assigned to the Anatot Military Base just outside Jerusalem. Every morning we met-up for Formation, Roll-Call and the Salute to the Flag, as we sang the Hatikvah.

      HATIKVAH
      Israeli National Anthem
      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Hatikvah_instrumental.ogg

But you make a good point about Israel’s ‘tone’ being in the Minor Scale, sort of speak. Specific to Israel, due to their Biblical connection, they have had to live with the consequences of several major Diasporas for not being faithful and not keeping the Covenants. And having no physical Temple to atone for their Sins is a crisis for them.

This is why the Religious Jews are so adamant about reconstituting the Temple and re-implementing or ‘Confirming the Covenant’ of Moses. It is all about their Redemption. Of course, they have missed the ‘boat’ in how their Atonement and readmit was and still is in Jesus. And a worse dirge is forthcoming in how they will lament when they see Him whom they pierced.

This is probably unrelated, but it brings to mind the song that only the 144,000 can sing. I have assumed it would be a shared experience (or compiled experiences) that would give a story to tell-- a song to sing that is unique.

  28. RE: SPECULATIVE TRIBULATION TIMELINE FALL 2026 – FALL 2033?

    Pastor Rich and Unsealed.org Family,
As I have presented the speculative Fall 2026 to Fall 2033 Tribulation Period Model, I have finished the visual aid in the form of a chart. It is linked below along with the Podcast synopsis of using A.I. It has done a pretty good job in synthesizing my key points and dates in regard to the working model.

What I find most interesting is how, if the start of the Tribulation Period is significant, it coincides with the date of Cheshvan 19 or Halloween in 2026. It is when the Jews commemorate the end of the construction of Solomon’s Temple and its dedication thereafter. Also, this same date is the anniversary of Noah’s Flood.

I see here a prophetic convergence and then how the midpoint lands on Nisan 10, the anniversary of the Triumphal Entry of Jesus to Jerusalem. Perhaps this could also be the occasion where the AntiChrist takes the city. Then the end date is right on Rosh HaShanah on September 23, 2033. This could be why the Predictive Programming about ‘923’ has occurred so profoundly. Here is the proposed Tribulation Timeline.

  29. Lu,

It also matches the Hebrew concordance dates:

    "2026" . . . "to kill, slay, destroy"
    "2027" . . . "slaughter, killing, massacre"
    "2028" . . . "slaughter, killing"

    There's your first-half Tribulation Horsemen.

    "2029" . . . "conceived, conceive, am"
    "2030" . . . "child, pregnant, conceive"
    "2031" . . . "thought, mental conception"
    "2032" . . . "pregnancy, conception"
    "2033" . . . "Harorite or Harodite"
    "2034" . . . "ruin, something demolished"

I will add, here, that some of these might be a third interpretation of the Revelation 12 woman giving birth to a saved child. To Jesus, first. To the Church or the Raptured, second. And maybe to the Tribulation Midpoint Jews who find Jesus, third. Perhaps even the 144,000 Jewish witnesses.

Of course, 2032 is the probable Crucifixion year of Jesus, so 2,000 years later is 2032, and it's the year 2033 that starts the "3rd day" of Hosea 6:2.

2033 also has a LOT of depth to it. The reference to a "Harorite" or "Harodite" is significant because Strong's calls this a resident of Harod. And Harod is a locale overlooking the Jezreel and Megiddo valleys of Armageddon-fame. Again, according to Strong's, the story of Gideon links . . .

"the name 'Harod' to both 'trembling' and divinely empowered victory. By David’s era the region lay within the northern tribal territories, making the Harodites part of Israel’s broader coalition that rallied to the shepherd-king."

    And . . .

" . . . the Harodites typify devoted disciples gathered around the true King. Their deeds prefigure the loyalty and spiritual warfare of believers who [will] rally to Jesus Christ [at the start of the Millennial Reign.]"

But equally impressive is that 2034 (Hebrew "hariycah") on the concordance, above, is very likely a direct reference to the mountain that destroys Nebuchadnezzar's statue in Daniel. It is the arrival of Jesus and the eternal Kingdom.

    From the Strong's:

"The noun הֲרִיסָה conveys the idea of a “ruin” or “demolition,” the physical remains of something once stable that has fallen into disrepair. In Scripture, ruins are rarely an end in themselves; they often serve as a backdrop for God’s restorative work."

There is only one occurrence of "hariycah" in the Bible:

    Amos 9:11

“In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old . . . ”

So, 2034 sounds like a good year for Jesus to seat Himself in Jerusalem.

    Jeremy

    P.S.

I still believe that Apophis has an excellent chance to become the Wormwood star of the Bible in April of 2029. And that it's impressively close to the midpoint of a 2025-2032 or 2026-2033 Tribulation timeline, so that any tarrying on the part of the Lord is negligible. We are still on track, seeing as how we cannot pin any seal, bowl, or trumpet event to a specific moment on a calendar. At least not yet! LOL

I do think the evidence is fascinating. If you've ever ventured into the Noah's Flood geology, it seems more than apparent that the Biblical fountains of the great deep were broken up by something, no? Where the secular scientist sees an asteroid killing the dinosaurs, we might be open to entertaining the idea that an asteroid did, indeed, break up the fountains and cause the Flood. Which did later cause the downfall of the dinosaurs.

What scientists call the Younger Dryas Impact Hypothesis just so happens to line up well with the "Black mat" scar of soil that runs across North America. And this is almost exactly where an impact would have been necessary in order to break the planet without killing Noah outright.

Is it merely coincidental that Apophis is lined up with the same North American continent after reaching what NASA says will be its lowest near-Earth altitude?

I say we still have plenty of reason to believe that the Rapture is closing rapidly. The horses carrying War and Death and Disease and Depression are very near, by even secular headlines.

  30. Some additional insight into the Stong's Hebrew, for the Hebrew calendar, starting with the new year recently started:

    "5786" . . . "to blind, to make blind"
    "5787" . . . "blind"
    "5788" . . . "blindness"

Paul said, in Romans 11:25, "that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in."

Then, around the end of 2028, and the nearing of Apophis, and approaching the midpoint of the Tribulation, we have:

"5789" . . . "to hasten, to be eager, to be swift" (Jewish flight from the Abomination?)
"5790" . . . "to hasten, to help, to succor" (Aid for the Jews in the wilderness?)
"5791" . . . "to bend, twist, distort, pervert" (The AC's actions and further abominations?)
    "5792" . . . "perversion, injustice, oppression"
    "5793" . . . "uthai"
"5794" . . . "strong, mighty, fierce" (A reference to explicitly Sovereign and Godly might)

Let me focus for a brief moment on two of the years; those which correlate with the Gregorian years 2031 and 2032 . . . if the current Hebrew calendar is accurate.

In the Fall of 2031, regarding "perversion, injustice," the Strong's has this to say . . .

The Hebrew word used here "signals personal injury that violates God’s standard of righteousness and calls for divine redress."

" . . . the LORD sees every injustice, and He alone has authority to advocate for the afflicted remnant."

Such perversion and injustice "anticipates God’s righteous judgment on evildoers."

And then, regarding the Fall of 2032, we see "Uthai."

Uthai is the name of two Israelites in the Bible.

The Uthai of Judah, in 1 Chronicles 9, "stands as a visible token of continuity between pre-exilic Israel and the restored community."

And of the second Uthai in Ezra 8, Strong's says this . . . "By volunteering for the arduous journey and bringing seventy others, he exemplifies spiritual initiative, courage, and a willingness to sacrifice comfort for the restoration of worship in Jerusalem."

"Both men embody the prophetic theme of a faithful remnant through whom God advances His redemptive plan."

To me, this all fits quite well with the winding down of the antiChrist's folly. And leads directly to the next Hebrew year.

"5795" . . . "goat, goats." And probably a direct nod toward the 2034 imprisonment of satan and his baphomet friends.

  31. RE: Tribulation Period via Stong’s

    Jeremy,
Thanks for sharing. When I began to read your list of years, I thought, ‘Where did he get these?’…Perhaps the Strongs’? And sure enough it was. Nice. Wow. If I can use it in future references, I will make sure to cite you as the source. That one for 2034 does bring to mind how the Rock not cut by man will come shattering the Statue of World Empires, Metals and Beasts per Daniel’s interpretation of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream.

I do believe there is something to be had about those Strong’s Numbers. Perhaps they are inspired as some would argue. Yet others totally refute it. Although, based on my model, it would have to be 2033 as there is that amazing Blood Moon also on April 14, Passover as it was exactly on April 14, in 32 AD. But we will have to see.

I am open to consider that perhaps the Asteroid Apophis could turn into Wormwood. Although in my understanding of Asteroids, they lose mass and do not gain it as speed across the Cosmos. But it seems Asteroids nowadays can do ‘anything’. Take 3I/Atlas. You do not know who to believe. ‘It’s a bird, a plane…’ So, anything could be possible.

I am a bit familiar with the Young Dryas cataclysm that recent Scientists have talked more about it. It would corroborate with the timing of Noah’s Flood. It could have been a catalyst for the Fountains of the Deep to explode. Or, as I also posit, what if it was also partly due to the perturbation having to do with the gravitation pull from the fly-by of Planet X? Hum….

And also consider that the Flood of Noah was a ‘2.0’ if one has studied the Gap Theory. What? Consider that in the Genesis account. YHVH separated the Waters that were already there. The theory is that Earth had suffered an initial Universal Flood in which it became ‘Formless and Void’ as in covered completely with water. In other words and consideration, YHVH used material that was already on Earth in Genesis. That is wild.

As to Noah and the ‘Days of Noah’ connection and association with the possible start date of the Tribulation Period, per my model? I am more convinced that we have entered that Season of Noah when it was heralded by Comet Hale-Bopp. Primarily, one has theorized that as Jesus’ birth was accompanied by a Celestial Star, the Star of Bethlehem, i.e., Jupiter’s retrograde in Virgo, so too did the AntiChrist’s birth was signaled in a similar way. Why?

It would make the age of the AntiChrist 33 years old in 2030, just as Jesus was when He rode into Jerusalem. Of course, this is one of my other unusual suppositions. But if interested in seeing this possible assertion, I have some charts, a long article about it and you can also hear the A.I. synthesis about it in general.

    Blessings,
    Lu Vega
