Barry Scarbrough Defends The Gospel

This message is more timely than ever.  Again I plead with you to ensure that your faith is in Christ and not in yourself.  Your works just don't cut it.  See John 5:24; 10:28; 13:1; 14:16-17; 17:11; Romans 8:29; 1 Corinthians 6:19; Hebrews 7:25; 1 John 2:1-2; 5:13; Jude 1:24.

  1. Amen! There is nothing you can SAY, ASK, or DO! Believe and Accept is the only way!

Youtube video about asking is linked here. This is a good example of how we can get into trouble by asking.

For those that like to copy and paste, here is the link: https://youtu.be/aVXZjEpqCs0

    2. Amen brother! The legalists and the lawless will be left behind for the exact same reason: failure to submit to God's righteousness through faith in Christ ALONE (Romans 10).

  2. I have never understood this passage in the past:
Revelation 10:10 (KJV) 10 And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.

I understand it now, the word is sweet, but it makes you sick because you know that tribulation is near!

  3. I appreciate Barry's no-nonsense approach. I don't blame him for disabling the comments, because the legalistic vitriol online is off the charts. Also appreciate him reading from the Dallas Theological doctrinal statement. Woot!

    1. Yes, I loved that he referenced DTS. Makes me think that DTS is a modern day Alexandria of sorts. Solid biblical theology in a time when schools of thought elsewhere have been driven into heresy.

  4. Hi Barry
If a man like MacDonald has been living in sin through immoral living for many years (10 at least) and is in a position of leadership and has feigned repentance numerous times, then it is clear by what jesus says "You will know them by their fruit"he is a false prophet, a spiritual wolf. God does not allow a true pastor to remain in sin for 10+ years. So we do know James MacDonald's heart.
