World News & Prophecy Roundup

Dear friends,

There are an overwhelming number of things going on in the world and I feel pressed to share what’s on my radar.  As for my absence this past week, I’m currently inundated with some personal projects, but I’m still very much watching and excited about what the next couple of months will bring.  Next month is the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the nation of Israel on the same day as Christ’s ascension in AD 33 (if indeed Christ was crucified in AD 33 and not 32).

I’m checking the news daily for any updates regarding the status of the Jewish Nation-State Bill that was finally approved in committee (a major milestone).  It is currently headed for the first of three votes in the full Knesset and if passed will restore Israel’s biblical identity as the land of the Jews.  It will also establish Hebrew as the official language, include biblical language about ingathering the remaining exiles, and enforce the Sabbath and biblical festivals nationwide.  There is no doubt in my mind that the passage of this bill into Israeli Basic Law will make 2018 as prophetically significant as 1948 and 1967.  1948 - the nation (Israel).  1967 - the city (Jerusalem).  2018 - the people (Jewish).

    1. If I get raptured it will be by grace alone and you'll be coming, too!

  3. So wonderful, and blessed to enjoy this with my morning cup of coffee. I’m in full agreement, checking this site continually for good news, comfort, edification, fellowship, excitement.
I did see the Rapture TBD? From A Little Strength and was greatly blessed by it. Looking forward to reading the other links you’ve mentioned there.
Yes, we look for Him now and hopefully eminently, but also know that hope springs eternal, and will be in His time, not ours.
    Maranatha! :o)

    1. Ecclesiastes, I couldn't agree more. Reading that was exciting, yet the other article put things in perspective, too.

    2. Once I found that article I definitely had to share it. Now couple what's in that article with the possible dual fulfillment of Daniel 9:26-27 that Dan Matson discovered (Artaxerxes to Christ's first coming; Suleiman to Christ's second coming/appearing), and I think 2018 could be the year.

    3. @ Gary. Thank you! Another reason I can't stop checking this site multiple times a day : )

BTW, there is a late breaking report of a mass casualty event in Syria involving chemicals. It's on Debka and if you search the words Syria and chemical on Twitter and sort for Latest, you can read more

    4. A PIN-POINT: Syria war: Trump condemns Syria for 'chemical attack' on Douma

      http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-43691291

      Quoting BBC,

"The Union of Medical Care and Relief Organizations, which runs medical facilities in the Eastern Ghouta, told BBC News that 70 deaths had been confirmed.

According to the US-based Syrian American Medical Society, at least 48 people died, showing 'symptoms indicative of exposure to a chemical agent'.

More than 500 people were brought to medical centres with such symptoms, it said, quoting emergency services in Douma."

BBC states it has not been possible to verify independently what actually happened, or the actual number of dead.

  6. Any input on Pesach Sheni (the "second Passover"), which was for those who were unclean during the main Passover (Numbers 9:6-13)? Takes place on April 29th. Is there any prophetic significance to it?

  7. Here's an interesting chart from Lu Vega. In it he explains that from the time of the Rev. 12 Sign until Pentecost 2018, the day count is that of an average gestation period (240 days) and could possibly be leading up to a May 20th rapture (He is careful to note that this is speculative.).

And even Gary Stearman has looked at Pentecost as a strong day to watch.

    2. It does indeed, Brent, and you're welcome. I read this somewhere just recently...

"He didn't stay in the grave, and he's not going to stay gone."

  8. With the Jewish and Arab populations at near parity at 6.5 million each between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River, this fact alone tells me that things must change soon, including the Jewish State bill becoming law. Israel must maintain its Jewish character.

  9. Offer Shelah a member from the opposition centrist Yesh Atid party, said it is clear the Jewish majority between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean is “precarious”.

“From a demographic perspective, if Israel does not part with the Palestinians then there is real danger to realizing the Zionist dream of a Jewish and democratic Israel,” Shelah told Reuters.

  10. Gary, I was a bit concerned about Greg Lauer. I look forward to his witty and insightful commentaries each week and didn't see one for the last couple weeks. Now, I know his latest article had him busy. Lol.

  11. From my morning time with the LORD in the Gospel of Luke translated literally from the Greek, rendered in CAPS as it was originally written,

29 NOW YOU DISMISS THE SERVANT OF YOU, MASTER,
    ACCORDING TO THE WORD OF YOU IN PEACE;

30 BECAUSE SAW THE EYES OF ME THE SALVATION OF YOU,

31 WHICH YOU PREPARED BEFORE FACE OF ALL THE PEOPLE,

32 A LIGHT FOR REVELATION GENTILES AND GLORY OF YOUR PEOPLE ISRAEL.

This was the exultation and prayer of Simeon upon taking our Lord Jesus in his arms in the Temple on the eighth day. The story begins,

25 AND BEHOLD A MAN WAS IN JERUSALEM TO WHOM NAME SIMEON AND THIS MAN RIGHTEOUS AND DEVOUT, WAITING FOR CONSOLATION OF ISRAEL, AND SPIRIT WAS HOLY UPON HIM.

What a beautiful picture that typifies the Church to come! Simeon, symbolic of the Church to come, upon whom the Holy Spirit would be given with the promise that it would see the Christ to come!

26 AND IT HAD TO HIM BEEN REVEALED BY THE SPIRIT HOLY NOT TO SEE DEATH UNTIL HE MIGHT SEE THE CHRIST OF LORD.

27 AND HE CAME BY THE SPIRIT INTO THE TEMPLE AND WHEN BROUGHT IN THE PARENTS THE CHILD, JESUS THEM TO DO ACCORDING TO THE THING HAVING BEEN CUSTOMARY THE LAW CONCERNING HIM

28 AND HE RECEIVED IT (HIM) IN THE (HIS) ARMS AND BLESSED GOD AND SAID

    29 NOW YOU DISMISS THE SERVANT OF YOU, MASTER, ACCORDING TO THE WORD OF YOU IN PEACE;

Simeon's hope had been fulfilled. His eyes had seen the LORD's Christ placed into his arms. How tightly might he have bore Him to his breast?! How dearly he must have held Jesus in those moments! How tenderly he savoured the moment in time in which G-D made complete the promise sealed by His Holy Spirit.

In the same way are we not called? In the same way are we not given the promise of peace? For Love comes from on High (Isaiah 57:15 ESV) as our salvation, Jesus, speaking a new word, "Peace". (Isaiah 57:19)

By faith we take Christ by the hand. Through genuine and penetrating Love we long to hold Him so closely we can scarcely tell where we end and He begins. This is our calling by faith, hope and love; for the greatest of these is love and by His word we know that G-D is Love. This is our beginning and this is our end. Abiding in Christ. In Christ alone. In Him we are perfected. In Him we are set apart. In Him we are saved and by His blood we are redeemed. Sealed in the light of eternity in the presence of Almighty G-D.

Father bless those strangers who come here -- those who seek You out of longing and for need, a need for which they have yet no name. May those who seek turn to see You there by their side! LORD speak to them in all Your ways that they may fully come to know the blessed peace of beauty and grace which abound in You and You alone. Let them come to know that Love loved them first, that they may know Love and abound in love without end. Let your penetrating grace and truth bridge the hearts and lives of these your children that Christ abound in them and they abide in Christ.

Surely our hearts have seen Your salvation, Your Jesus, which You prepared from the beginning for all peoples. Light of the Gentiles and glory for your people Israel!

Blessed be the Holy Name of Christ Jesus our LORD and all who abide in Him.

Grace and peace to you, always,

    PR

  12. Thanks for the article and reference sites Gary. My favorite quote from the author on Rapture TBD - A Little Strength: "God does what He does and it is what it is, so any perceived "delay" exists only in the fleshly pea-brains of men."
    Amen brother!
