The Big Picture & Questions Answered

Dear Friends,

I wanted to say thank you for your continued prayers, support, and participation.  God has done some amazing things through this ministry and it has as much to do with the Gospel as it does with prophecy.  The two go hand-in-hand.  This summer we reached 300,000 unique readers per month with the truth of Christ, becoming one of the largest prophecy news websites on the planet.  Our Revelation 12 Sign video has been seen in various languages over three million times and one of our ministry partners used our Gospel video on Facebook and it has gone viral - watched over one million times and shared all across the Middle East.  A few of our articles were shared virally by you on Facebook this year and it caused a number of news organizations to take notice.  It gave us the opportunity to share the message far and wide that Jesus Christ is really coming back.  And soon.

I share this success with you because I want you to be empowered and motivated to imitate us as we imitate Christ (1 Cor. 11:1).  Go and share the Gospel.  Go and tell someone Jesus is coming soon.  As you are all well aware, there may be little time left (Jn. 9:4, Gal. 6:10).  We.  Are.  Nobodies.  We take no profit.  We receive no ad revenue.  We're not in it for fame or a following and have tried to personally avoid the limelight as much as possible.  We've dedicated an incredible amount of time and our own financial resources, often at the expense of our personal lives and families, to bring you the hopeful message of grace and our soon coming King.  Our heart has been to share the Gospel, pray without ceasing, and teach only what is true - leaving no stone unturned and changing course when we think we've taught something incorrectly.  I pray for discernment daily.  I think I can speak for the whole team - Greg, Jeff, Dolley, Sam, the leaders on our online community, and myself - and say we do this for your edification.  We want you to know the truth and be aware and awake to the times, so that you are in turn empowered to go do greater things - and I personally know many of you are.

God hates the works of the Nicolaitans, those who would steal from His flock and rule as spiritual tyrants over the people.  So many churches and ministries these days are cults of personality - their pastors' faces are plastered everywhere and they have "their" flocks and "their" followers.  They live on islands and don't allow anyone to challenge them or speak into their lives (Prov. 18:1).  They become their own source of spiritual authority not realizing that they are only foot-soldiers like the rest of us in the service of the King.  They wave their pulpits, PhDs, and fame in your face to show you why you have to listen to them because they're the shepherd and you're just a sheep.  Just like the priests and Nicolaitans of old who withheld the Word of God from Christ's flock.

Jesus never gave any apostle a flock.  Rather He told his apostles to tend His flock.  The flock is Christ's and we are just part of it.  We will all be held to account for how we fed and tended His flock.  There is only one High Priest and one Good Shepherd.  All glory and honor and praise belongs to Him and Him alone.  The news and the prophetic signs we share, if we've misinterpreted any of them, are nothing, and if we've interpreted them correctly all glory and credit goes to God alone who in His loving-kindness chose to reveal a bit of Himself and His plans to the Body of Christ through the least of these - the unqualified, rather than those who boast in their self-appointed position.

We are walking daily in community with other humble men of God who see these signs unfolding, so that none of us becomes an island and all of us have accountability in what we do, say, and teach.  I want to give credit to these other brothers who we are fellowshipping with daily who are as much and even more a part of this last-minute wake-up call to the Church:

Adam, Barry, Brad, Daniel, Jim, Paul, and Scottie.  God has done wonders through your ministries to open eyes, soften hard hearts, expose the traditions of men and wickedness in high places, and to further reveal truth to the Church.  Greg, Jeff, and I appreciate you greatly.  You are humble warriors and we salute you.  There are many others who encourage us daily and continue to walk beside us - you know who you are and equal credit to you.  I pray for many of you by name daily.  Let us pray without ceasing.  I've written a prayer here that I would encourage everyone to be praying with me and I know some of you are.

Honestly, it is hard waiting, not knowing exactly how or when things are going to unfold.  We have to trust the LORD with the timing.  As I've said before, I am now convinced that the literal fulfillment of Revelation 12:1-2 occurs next week and to be honest, the connection of Revelation 12 to the rapture seems to be pretty clear at this point.  That said, I refuse to set dates.  I know exactly when this sign occurs, but I don't know exactly when we go home.  My timing and interpretations could be off and I don't trust myself.  I have to trust God, which can be difficult to do at times.  Whether we're before the Throne of God next week or in a year, the Great Sign is still the Great Sign and Jesus is still going to keep His promises.  Right now I have many feelings: trepidation, joy, hope, faith, unease, and perplexity.  Someone recently shared with me that what we are collectively feeling is probably a bit like what Jesus' disciples felt after His death and before His resurrection and also what they felt after He ascended, but before Pentecost when the Holy Spirit was given.  It's an uneasy feeling to wait, but we must cling to God's promises no matter what.  This song has been on my heart lately:

The Big Picture

The second thing I wanted to remind you of is not to overlook the big picture.  Many of us have focused so much on the Revelation 12 Sign that it has seemed to create a sort of target for ridicule.  The mockers, scoffers, and closed-minded both inside and outside of the Church think that if they can somehow debunk this then our hope falls to pieces.  But it doesn't.  This year has seen the most incredible convergence of signs that we have ever seen.  Here are a few of the biggest confirmations for me:

1. Every prophetic date in the modern era seems to have as its endpoint the year 2017.

1897 (120 years before): the First Zionist Congress and the founding of political Zionism where the world's Jewry made a collective decision to pursue a Jewish homeland.  120 years was the divinely instituted period of probation before the first global cataclysm (Gen. 6:3).

1917 (100 years before): the land of Israel was conquered by the British.  The land was transferred from Israel's enemies to Israel's friend and the Balfour Declaration made known to the world that it was the intention of the British government to establish a Jewish homeland in the Holy Land.  Abraham was 100 years old when his promised son was born.  Likewise we are waiting for the true Son of Promise to make His second appearance and take us home.

1947 (70 years before): the United Nations mandated the creation of the Jewish state.  The decree was given and Israel declared its independence just six months later.  70 years is the only explicitly defined length of a generation given in the Bible (Psalm 90:10), which becomes hugely significant in light of the Parable of the Fig Tree, which says that the generation that sees the signs mentioned in the Olivet Discourse begin to come to pass would live to see all of it fulfilled, up to and including the return of Christ.  70 years was also the length of the first Jewish exile.

1948 (70 "prophetic" years before): the State of Israel was born.  The prophecy of "weeks of years" given in Daniel 9 seems to use 360-day years for counting long lengths of history.  Daniel and Revelation also seem to define a single period of "time" as consisting of 360 days (e.g., Dan. 7:25, 12:7, Rev. 12:6, 14).  Based on this measurement, Israel experienced its 70th anniversary on May 12, 2017.

1967 (50 years before): Israel captured Jerusalem - the city at the very center of Bible prophecy.  50 years is the length of a biblical Jubilee when all slaves went free, debts were forgiven, and the land returned to its rightful owner.  Israelis marked this Jubilee back in May with huge celebrations.

1977 (40 years before): the modern Middle East peace process began when Egyptian President Sadat delivered his November 1977 address to the Israeli Knesset.  Then in December 1977 the first Middle East peace conference was held in Cairo.  This led to the Camp David Accords the following year.  40 is a biblical period of testing.  Rain fell upon the earth for 40 days leading up the Flood.  The Israelites were tested in the wilderness for 40 years.  Jesus was tempted for 40 days.

1987 (30 years before): The Temple Institute was founded in Jerusalem in preparation for building the Third Temple.  This organization has prepared all of the vestures and artifacts necessary for service in the Temple.  They have also trained Aaronic priests, cut the Temple's cornerstone, and built the main altar.  Joseph, a type of both Christ and the Church, was 30 years old when he left prison and became second-in-command of Egypt (Gen. 41:46).  Priestly service in the Tabernacle began at the age of 30 (Numbers 4).  David was 30 years old when He became king (2 Sam. 5:4).  Jesus was about 30 years old when He began His ministry (Lk. 3:23).

2. All of the apparent signs leading up to the initiation of Daniel's 70th Week (a.k.a. the Tribulation) have converged and the setting for the end of the age is now in place.  Now you might say this convergence will still be here next year or possibly the year after, but look, there is a shelf life to this.  Eventually Jesus really is going to come back, a fact that many pastors, even teachers of Bible prophecy, seem to give lip service to, but not accept the reality of.  Here are 19 reasons why the end of the age could begin this year and here is why 2017 to 2024 is a prime candidate for the seven-year Tribulation.

3. The numbers.  I know some people are uncomfortable with finding God in the details and seeing His sovereign hand at work in the minutiae of life, but all of these numbers and "coincidences" people have uncovered this year are beyond anything I've ever seen before.  I would argue they defy probability and can't easily be explained by confirmation bias.  Read about these more here and here.

4. We may have just witnessed the fulfillment of key parts of Joel 2:30-31, like in just the last few weeks and Billy Graham's daughter is now on record saying she sees a parallel between what has just transpired and the time leading up to Elijah's rapture, but you know, close your eyes, cover your ears, and go back to sleep.

Just a final point here: from the time of Christ's crucifixion and resurrection in AD 33 (His first visitation) to 2017 is 1984 years.  Strong's 1984 is "visitation".  The religious leaders of Jesus' day were unaware and willfully ignorant of His first visitation and even tried to "shoosh!" the people when Jesus rode into Jerusalem, so it shouldn't be any surprise to us that history is repeating itself and our religious leaders are again trying to quiet the welcoming party using the traditions of men to override the truth of Scripture.  "Visitation" (Strong's 1984) is only used a few times in Scripture.  Look where it is used:

They will level you [Jerusalem] to the ground--you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation from God.
- Luke 19:44

And

Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation.
- 1 Peter 2:12

Questions Answered

In this last section I want to begin answering various questions and critiques that have been coming our way.  We get a lot of questions through comments, email, and social media and these have been piling up.  Please be aware that we see them, but we are impossibly under-resourced to respond to everything.  Below I will respond to a few of the most frequently asked questions and critiques and if you have any other please ask it in the comments section below.  Again - I can't get to everything, but I will try.

Q: You're date-setting and/or saying the world is going to end on 9/23/17.

A: This is largely false.  We actually believe the world will never end (Ecc. 1:4), except for possibly a very brief period of time as described in Isaiah 65:17 and Revelation 21:1 when God creates a new heaven and earth (there is debate regarding whether this means God creates an entirely new creation or if He rejuvenates the existing creation).  In any case, we definitely do not believe the world is going to end on 9/23 nor anytime this year.  Also, absolutely zero ministries that are promoting the Revelation 12 Sign are saying the world is going to end this year (at least that I'm aware of).  It's fake news.

We are also not saying the rapture has to happen next week.  I would steer clear of being dogmatic either way.  It would be foolish to say the rapture will happen sometime next week and it doesn't happen.  It would be far, far more foolish to say it won't happen next week and then it does - or happens sometime later this year.  I'm open to any possibilities.  God is the One in charge and He knows the timing.

I am date-setting in one sense, though.  I believe the Revelation 12 Sign is going to happen on 9/23 or 9/24.  I believe that is now a firmly established fact based on what Scripture plainly says.  No one has yet debunked this aside from recycling the same untruths in article after article (e.g., "it's astrology", "it's not unique", "it's just figurative of past history", etc).

Q: Could the male child of Revelation 12:5 be the 144,000 sealed Israelites mentioned in Revelation 7 and 14?

A: I've seen a few people throwing around this theory, but I see little basis for it.  In my humble opinion it suffers from some of the same problems that the theory that the male child is only Christ suffers from.  For starters, the male child is going to "rule all the nations with a rod of iron".  This promise is made only to Christ (Psalm 2:7-9) and the Church (Rev. 2:26-27) - never to the 144,000.  Secondly, the child is caught up to God's throne.  Again, this promise is only made to Christ and the Church (Rev. 3:21), not the 144,000.  Thirdly, Revelation describes Christians and Tribulation Saints in Heaven (Rev. 6:9-11, 7:9, 12:5, 10-12), but this description is never applied to the 144,000.  To the contrary, they are not before the throne of God, but are gathered to Mt. Zion (Jerusalem), apparently at the time of Jesus' physical second coming.  Fourthly, as Harry Ironside is famous for saying, correctly identifying the characters in Revelation 12 is foundational for a correct understanding of the rest of the book.  The woman is Israel and perhaps also figurative of "heavenly Jerusalem" (Gal. 4:26).  The woman is not the Church and neither is the woman only Mary.  The Church didn't give birth to Israel and neither can Israel give birth to itself.  Each character has a unique identity.

I tend to agree with the traditional, historical-grammatical interpretation of the purpose and ministry of the 144,000 (see here).

Q: Will there be a partial-rapture and do you have to be watching to be raptured?

A: No to both (in my understanding).  There are a few people who are promoting these views and they have caused a lot of fear in the Body of Christ in addition to causing some to even abandon their faith in Christ's blood and instead to trust in self.  Woe to them.  And having carefully studied their views, I see some major Scriptural twisting and self-righteous assumptions going on.  You don't want to be trusting in your works and "worthiness" when the trumpet sounds.  My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness.  The Gospel + anything = nothing (Rom. 11:6, Gal. 5:12).  Worse even than the sexual immorality and wordliness that has crept into Christianity over the past 50 years, is the abandonment of sola fide among evangelicals.  A recent Pew survey finds only half of Protestants in the United States still believe in the cornerstone Protestant doctrine.  And sola fide isn't a new invention - it was just as true in the early Church as it is today (see here).  Augustinian allegorism, coupled with a number of other heresies slowly crept into the Church, denying the plain truth of God's Word, and became the dominant school of thought in Christianity for some 1500-1700 years.

There are a number of more detailed exegetical issues with the partial-rapture theory, which is why most premillennial, evangelical scholars disagree with the theory.  Time does not permit me to unpack all of those here, but if you want to study the issue further for yourself, take a look at articles I've written here and here.  The male child of Revelation 12:5 is the Church and the whole baby gets taken to Heaven.  The whole Body of Christ is united to the Head.  A Christian's performance is not judged by being taken or left.  It is judged for rewards at the Bema Seat when we all stand before the Son of Man (1 Cor. 3:10-15, 2 Cor. 5:6-10).  The Book of Revelation is absolutely clear about the Gospel (Rev. 1:5).  The raptured Church is only in Heaven because of Jesus' blood (Rev. 12:10-11) and the later martyred Tribulation Saints are in Heaven for the same reason (Rev. 7:14).

To be absolutely clear: I believe that Scripture clearly teaches that all Believers will be raptured to Heaven and thus we are to encourage one another rather than cause fear and our brothers and sisters to lose heart (1 Thess. 4:18, Gal. 1:6-10, 5:1-12, 1 Jn. 4:18, 5:13).  Paul has harsh words for those causing fear and loss of faith in Christ's flock.  However, not all Christians will be raptured, if by Christian you merely mean someone who identifies with the Christian religion.  Those who trust in themselves or who have added to the Gospel are standing on sinking sand.  Repent.  So I believe there will be a full rapture of Believers and a partial rapture of Christians.  It's scary to think you might have covered yourself in all of the trappings and do-goodism of Christianity while all the while your foundation was something other than Christ and Him crucified.  Those "Christians" who enter the Tribulation with defiled garments do not cleanse them with their own efforts, but with the blood of the Lamb.

Q: Will all children be raptured?

A: Certainly all children that believe in the LORD will be raptured.  There is no dispute about that.  The question usually concerns young children who have not yet consciously placed their faith in Christ.  I think there is a clear Scriptural basis for saying that all young children of Believers will be taken (even if only one parent is a Believer), if the child is not yet old enough to make a conscious decision of faith (1 Cor. 7:14).  This seems to be some precedent through history: only Noah was found righteous, but he took his whole family on the ark.  Likewise, Lot was the only righteous man found in Sodom, but he took his wife and daughters with him to safety (but his wife was killed during the escape because of her own lack of faith).

Some other scholars believe that a fundamental shift occurred after Jesus' resurrection, so that all children up to a certain age or cognitive ability will be taken, regardless if their parents are Believers.  The theory goes that the blood of Christ covers all of those who can't believe the Gospel, either because of age or mental retardation.

I am open to both possibilities and am dogmatic about neither.  I'm reminded that some things are left to faith and there is a tension in not knowing.  We have to trust God.  He is good - very good.  I believe all young children of Believers are perfectly safe, but by all means, pray for and teach all of your children to know the LORD.

Q: Will our pets be raptured?

A: I've been surprised by how often this question comes up, but it is very important to many.  At first I brushed off the question, but I think I was wrong for doing so.  First, trust God no matter what.  He is good.  He cares for animals (Jonah 4:11, Prov. 12:10, Matt. 10:29-31).  The truth is we really don't have a clear answer from Scripture.  My personal position is that animals will be resurrected at some future point, though I don't believe that is likely to be during the rapture of the Church.  Possibly later in the Millennial Kingdom or when God makes a new heaven and earth.

That being said, I was blown away by a discussion in the Revelation 12 Sign 2017 community on Facebook about this topic.  Some brothers and sisters were making a surprisingly strong case for why the animals of Believers will be going and/or protected in some way.  They pointed out the biblical precedent of all the animals taken on the ark, as well as the Israelites leaving with their animals during the Exodus.  I'm always amazed by pastors who give the default "animals are just temporary" response to genuinely concerned Believers.  The truth is the Bible doesn't say much about this one way or the other.  Who is to really say?  What we know is that God is better than we can imagine.  God is love.  Trust Him and please don't do anything foolish like euthanize your animals.  That would not be in any way an act of faith.

Q: Leo doesn't have nine stars.

A: Dr. Faulkner is at it again with another article trying to debunk the Revelation 12 Sign.  He recycles the same argument that the sign isn't unique, so I don't need to address that in detail - the sign is absolutely unique and the years he cites as matches were simply not matches (see here).  Regarding his claim that Leo has more than nine stars, we've addressed this several times before (see #7 here).  In short, his argument is mostly arbitrary.  Here is my response:

-The most common depiction of Leo (BY FAR) shows nine stars.  Google it for yourself and see.  Most astronomy program also use nine stars (not just Stellarium, although there are a few exceptions like Google Sky).

-Those nine stars are the common denominator across all ancient and modern depictions of Leo.  One example he cites is the Almagest's depiction, which shows 27 stars, which he calls the "standard" depiction.  In that case Revelation 12:1-2 could never be fulfilled literally because the only grouping of stars above Virgo's head is Leo and 27 stars would make a 12-star crown impossible.  The Almagest is definitely not the "standard" depiction.  It differs substantially from ancient Babylonian and Egyptian depictions, as well as an ancient mosaic showing the Jewish mazzaroth.  The are many and various depictions of Leo.  Some have 10 stars, some 13, some even 15 or more, but the most prevalent depiction shows nine stars.  Those same nine stars are also the common denominator across all depictions.

-He says that when he looks outside he clearly sees 13 stars.  That's fine.  I'm sure that on an exceptionally clear night you could see 13 or more stars, but many of those are very dim.  The interesting thing is, under normal conditions only those nine stars stand out.  I spent more than a month tracking Leo and on clear nights I could only see nine.  Many others have reported the same thing.

Brad over at Revelation 12 Daily has a great response to these "straining out a gnat" debates about the crown of 12 stars.

Q: Revelation 12:1-2 is about Heaven, not the sky.

A: Carl from PNN has claimed that when the Greek word ouranos is singular it means capital 'H' Heaven, as in God's dwelling, but when ouranos is plural it refers to the sky.  Thus, as his theory goes, Revelation 12:1-2 has nothing to do with a real sign in the sky because ouranos is singular.  Furthermore, he argues that Revelation 12 is just a historical recapitulation.

His first argument is simply incorrect and in fact the exact opposite is often true. The plural form is most often used to describe the "kingdom of Heaven" - in the Greek, literally "kingdom of the Heavens" (e.g., Matt. 3:2, 4:17, 5:3, 10, 12, 16; Mk. 11:25-26, 12:25, 13:25).

Compare to the singular use of ouranos, which frequently means "sky" (Matt. 8:20, 13:32, 16:2-3, 24:29-30, Mk. 4:32, 14:62; Lk. 4:25, 8:5, 9:58).

In Revelation John even uses the singular form of ouranos for sky several times, a couple examples are Revelation 6:14 and Revelation 11:6.

It's impossible to determine whether the translation of ouranos in a given passage should be "Heaven" (capital 'H') or "sky" based on whether the word is singular or plural.  Context is king.

The context of Revelation 12:1-2 is the visible sky (sun, moon, and stars) and Genesis 1:14 tells us that the sun, moon, and stars were made for signs.  Luke 21:11 tells us there will be "Great Signs" preceding the return of Christ and Luke 21:25 tells us there will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars.  Try this on for size: Revelation 12:1-2 is the only sign in the entire Bible that involves the sun, moon, and stars and is also called a "Great Sign".  I sure wouldn't ignore it.

No one is interpreting Revelation 12:1-2 as literally and accepting it prima facie as much as the Revelation 12 Sign proponents are.  Let God be true and every man a liar.

Regarding the recapitulation theory.  I just have three things to say: first, Revelation 1:1, Revelation 1:19, and Revelation 4:1 would seemingly disagree with you; second, as we've recently uncovered, historically speaking, Protestant scholars would largely disagree with the "purely recapitulation" view (see here); third, taking Scripture literally and "line upon line" and avoiding assumptions at all costs leads to the conclusion that the male child of Revelation 12:5 is the Church, which is why so many Protestant scholars have taught that the child is the Church since the 1500s (see here and here).

Q: Are constellations mentioned in the Bible or is that astrology?

A: Biblical astronomy and astrology are completely different things.  Astronomy is the study of the stars, astrology is occultic practice.  Astrology is worshiping or divining the stars.  Astrology is trying to run your life by the stars.  No Christians who are talking about these signs in the heavens are worshiping the stars or trying to cast hexes using constellations as Balaam did.  Nor are they using the stars like a horoscope.  Constellations are mentioned frequently in the Bible and it is God Himself who made them.  Satan has only twisted what God has made.  The astrology accusation has been debunked a thousand times now and is simply untrue.  Revelation 12 Daily has an excellent discussion of this here and Parable of the Vineyard has two awesome videos on the subject here.

The Bible is absolutely crystal clear that there will be signs in the sky preceding Christ's return, so those in the Church who are coming out against these things are not doing their due diligence nor are they accepting what the Bible plainly says (Gen. 1:14, Ps. 19:1-6, Dan. 6:27, Matt. 24:30, Lk. 21:11, 25, Acts 2:19,  Rev. 12:1-2).

Regarding constellations, will people continue to claim they are pagan in origin in the face of so much biblical evidence?  Again, let God be true and every man a liar.

God made the constellations: Genesis 1:14, Job 38:33

God brings out the constellations night after night: Job 38:32

Constellations are frequently named and/or referred to in Scripture:

Orion: Job 9:9, 38:31, Amos 5:8

Pleiades: Job 9:9, 38:31, Amos 5:8

The Bear and her cubs (Ursa Major): Job 9:9, 38:32

Leo: Gen. 49:9-10, Num. 24:9, 17, Rev. 12:1

Virgo: Is. 7:11, 14, Rev. 12:1

Gemini: Acts 28:11

Taurus: Num. 23:22, 24:8, Deut. 33:17

Aquarius: Num. 24:7

The constellations were created by God to serve as signs and to tell the story of His redemptive plan in history (see here, here, and here).  Satan has twisted culture to worship the constellations and to use them for divination.

Since Jupiter moved out of Virgo on September 9, how does this affect the sign on Sept 23?

    3. That's just the line between her two hands, Spica and Heze. (At least I think Heze is her other hand... I'm not a great astronomer, I've just heard Spica was her left or right hand many times) It's still in the constellation, and it will be in the right place when the moon takes it's place under her feet. We just have to keep watching and waiting and pointing others to it when we can.

  3. I must say that I have nothing but agreement with you brother. We are all the body of Christ and we have one command:

23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
    1 John 3:23-24 (KJV)

I see that yall have been faithful in both in that you proclaim your belief in the GOSPEL & you demonstrate your great love in that you WARN all that will hear and those that will not of the approaching JUDGMENT OF GOD. And when you are ridiculed for these actions, I have seen nothing but LOVE and continued, even hightened WARNINGS. That is TRUE LOVE!

I consider it an honor and a priviledge to participate in this HOLY SPIRIT filled site.

THANK YOU & MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS THESE HIS PROFITABLE SERVANTS.

  4. Think about the Wisemen, I wonder what their parents, wives, children siblings said when they traveled looking for the King all because of the star. Did they say "no man can know"?
They were so confident in the stars that they took the gifts with them!
I want to be like the five wise that had their lamps supplied with oil and watching for Him.

    3. I recently watched the videos of REVELATIONCHAPTER12.COM on YouTube, esp. #5+6 discuss the Bethlehem Star in detail. Personally I think God would Himself supernaturally (and yet inexplicably) lead this star of Matthew 2:9 to direct it unto the house where Jesus was like a pocket lamp - as some kind of 'reward' for the act of faith the wise men showed when first observing the constellations from their place and then traveling this far to worship God. 6. Great article Gary! I love your humility, but strong stand....I posted this on the discussion board, and I think it is pertinent to one of your points. Alexandre Ruelle, 1700's France, was the first known person to use stick figures to depict the Mazzaroth. His original chart shows Leo with 9 main named stars....there are secondary connections, but anyone can google the chart up and see for themselves....9 main stars, named with greek letters. His original stick chart is the basis for all other stick charts, and is why the vast majority of stick charts depict 9 stars for Leo....overwhelmingly 9 stars are depicted today

  11. One of the people that the Sign interviews is Michael Shermer. He is the author and editor of Skeptic magazine. He was interviewed, to " make sense of the nonsense". He is a known Apostate.

Michael Brant Shermer (born September 8, 1954) is an American science writer, historian of science, founder of The Skeptics Society, and editor-in-chief of its magazine Skeptic,[2] which is largely devoted to investigating pseudoscientific and supernatural claims. The Skeptics Society currently has over 55,000 members.[3] Shermer engages in debates on topics pertaining to pseudoscience and religion in which he emphasizes scientific skepticism. Shermer is producer and co-host of the 13-hour Fox Family television series Exploring the Unknown which was broadcast in 1999. Since April 2001, he has been a monthly columnist for Scientific American magazine with his Skeptic column. He is also a scientific advisor to the American Council on Science and Health (ACSH).[4] Shermer was once a fundamentalist Christian, but ceased to believe in the existence of God during his graduate studies.

Skeptic: an ancient or modern philosopher who denies the possibility of knowledge, or even rational belief, in some sphere.

    1. One who doubts the truth and reality of any principle or system of principles or doctrines.

In the photo of his twitter post he asks the question "what happens when prophecy fails"? His answer is " cognitive dissonance ". In psychology, cognitive dissonance is the mental stress or discomfort experienced by an individual who holds two or more contradictory beliefs, ideas, or values at the same time, performs an action that is contradictory to one or more beliefs, ideas or values, or is confronted by new information that conflicts with existing beliefs, ideas, or values.

Lets see now, the guy who rejected the truth of Christianity and denies that knowledge is even possible is going to help us make sense of it all ? he will literally be relying on cognitive dissonance to even try to explain any thing at all. How can you hold a philosophy that knowledge is not possible and then try to explain anything.

    Not only are we commanded to watch ( with regard to the 2nd coming ) we are also commanded to take down every strong hold and imagination 2 Corithians10: 3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Any one who brings the sign and or Mr Shermer and his reasoning to you throw the same reasoning right back at them. How can the guy who does not think knowledge is possible make sense of anything and how does he do so with engaging in cognitive dissonance

  14. Gary - thanks so much for all of your time and effort to rightly divide the word of truth to present a clear and logical view. When Christ was asked about the greatest commandment, He quoted from Deu 6, but He added "mind" to the list of all of things you should love the Lord your God with (Mar 12:30; Luk 10:27). I think it's because He wants us to use our renewed minds (Rom 12:2) to understand His word so that we can love Him more fully. This is a thinking person's game. Anybody can be lazy and just not engage the mind that He's given us and come up with all sorts of bad logic, bad theology, etc. So again, thanks Gary all of your diligence and excellent exegesis. Your writings have really helped me when studying Scripture to add an extra step to the standard Observe, Interpret, Apply --> now it's Observe, Interpret, Stand in Awe & Be Amazed, and then Apply.

This site is very much a modern embodiment of a place where the saints can gather and share their faith, hopes and fears. The open dialogue of this site has been a great comfort to me and a catalyst for counselling and teaching.

    Thank you!

Part of me cannot wait for the Day. Part of me wishes for more time to reach those who I wish knew the Keeper of the Day.

One piece of encouragement I would like to offer is that of my little brother. Although he makes intentional vocalizations in response to conversation, my brother is considered non-verbal and could generally be understood as being what we used to call "mentally retarded". (I believe he has a condition called Angelman Syndrome).

The Lord has been a part of his life from a very early age. Come to his group home and he will grab you by the arm and take you on a tour showing you all his favourite pictures on the walls. The first stop is usually at the front door where a large portrait of Jesus hangs. He'll look at you with a wide eyed look as if to say, "Do you know Jesus?!" His smile gives it all away because he does!

I love my little brother with all my heart and cannot wait to hear all the things he has to say when we come arm-in-arm before the LORD. This is my hope. This is my prayer.

Thank you again to all of you who have made UNSEALED what it is in these last days. It has been a blessing being part of it.

  21. Forgive me if this has been covered earlier. I thought I would share here in "The Big Picture" thread. Further reading in these pages led me to take a look at a couple of Strong's numbers.

    Strong's 2017

Greek: epiphauo (pronounced ep-ee-fow'-o) a form of 2014; to illuminate (figuratively):--give light. Thayer's Greek Lexicon: epiphauō

    1) to shine upon
1a) Christ will pour upon you the divine truth as the sun gives light to men aroused from sleep

    Part of Speech: verb
    Usage: Once (1) (Ephesians 5:14)

Hebrew: hophek: perversity, turning of things upside down
    Original Word: הָ֫פֶך
    Part of Speech: Noun Masculine
    Transliteration: hophek
    Phonetic Spelling: (ho'-fek)
    Short Definition: perversity
    Usage: Once (1) (Isaiah 29:16)

A parting thought: Our family recently lost a long-time member, the one we consider our first child. He was a 25-year old hand-fed cockatiel my wife named Creampuff. All three of our human children were raised knowing him as he has been with the Mrs. and I for most of our years together.

The natural question had arisen if birds go to heaven? Would we see him again at the Rapture? I am not aware of a direct scriptural reference but do know that birds are part of scriptural imagery and most importantly that they were created on the fifth day. (Genesis 1:21 NKJV)

Noting that, "God saw that it was good" gives us comfort. God is good and His creation is good. This fact gives us hope that the goodness of God's creation will abound in the Kingdom to come.

Even for our dearly departed 25-year old cockatiel!

    1. Richard, so sorry to hear about your beloved Creampuff. I used to have a little cockatiel named Shrimpie. Ironically, the last few days I've been thinking of him.

There may not be a specific scripture that says our pets will be in heaven, but Psalm 37 says if we delight ourselves in Him, He will give us the desires of our heart.

I have prayed many times for my pets to be with me in heaven. I prayed this one night and right before waking I dreamed something was about to strike the Earth and/or the rapture was about to happen As I ran toward my house I scooped up my catand said "Lord, let me take my pets." Instantly, I was in a field of vivid green grass with a blue sky above and......my cat😁!

Later that day, I was watching Sid Roth. A guy was talking about being in heaven and seeing his Golden Retriever, who had died, and a spider monkey he had as a child.

Then, a couple weeks later at the grocery store, a total stranger looked at me and said "I wonder if our pets will go with us in the rapture. It's s so close you know...the rapture." !
I took this all as confirmation from the Lord and I'm expecting to see all my departed pals when I get to heaven.

  22. So, this may be a bit morbid, but... Paul says the dead in Christ will rise first, THEN we who are still alive will be caught up with them in the clouds. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

So... am I the only one who kinda wants to go hang out in a cemetery next weekend?

    1. @ Unknown - I don't know why I never considered this before, but for some reason after reading your post, I'm now wondering if there is any clue in the bible that might help us understand what the gap in time there is, if any, between the dead being caught up and then those who are alive. This could be a clue. Everybody assumes that THEN is immediately after, but maybe not. Time to do a little research : )

      Delete
    2. The underlying text for Then, Afterwards, etc. (depending on the bible version) does not seem to indicate immediately after in every situation it is used.
      https://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=G1899&t=NIV

Doesn't mean the rapture of the living can't be a split second after the rapture of the dead, but that's not what it says unequivocally

      Delete
    3. I had this thought too recently. The thing that seems to confirm an immediate, or shortly thereafter immediate rapture of us still here, is that it says we will meet them in the clouds with the Lord. Seems to indicate they rise from the dead, then we all go up to the clouds together. But I could be wrong.

    4. Yes!!! I've thought it would be pretty cool to be at a cemetery, or a funeral of a brother or sister in Christ. I firmly believe they will get their new body then. Only their spirit is in heaven right now as they have yet to get their transformed bodies. That's going to scare the living tar out of everyone even more so I think. After Jesus was crucified, many people in tombs came back to life. That must have been pretty crazy to witness too! But just like Jesus, who did not leave his bones here, those who have died will have real new bodies. People won't be able to point to their graves and say, 'That's not grandma." No part of them will be left here. I've wondered about organ transplants, and all that too. Will those parts go too? Really gets crazy thinking about all that. Imagine the pacemakers and fake joints and stuff all left behind without our bodies too- How crazy cool bizarre that will be if it's how it happens. I can't imagine those things being taken and changed with us.

      Delete
  23. Why is it that you assume that the Church mentioned in Revelation chapters 2 and 3 is about the body of Christ? I've shown that the word Church was used by Stephen in Acts 7:38 to describe Israel in the desert with Moses and we know that wasn't the body of Christ, so why assume any time the word Church is used in the scriptures it's talking about the body of Christ? If we rightly divide the word of truth then we know the the books of Hebrews through Revelation are written to and for the Jews for Daniel's 70th week and have absolutely nothing to do with the body of Christ. Also, where does Paul ever teach that the body of Christ will rule all Nations with a rod of iron in his letters? I only seem to find him teaching that our eternal destiny is in the heavenlies and not from Earth Ephesians 2:6.... The 144,000 are never described in heaven before the throne of God??? Hmmm it seems that Revelation 14 disagrees with you "And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an HUNDRED FORTY AND FOUR THOUSAND, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. And I heard a voice from HEAVEN, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: And they sung as it were a new song before the THRONE, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the HUNDRED AND FORTY AND FOUR THOUSAND, which were REDEEMED FROM THE EARTH. These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were REDEEMED FROM AMONG MEN, being the FIRSTFRUITS UNTO GOD AND TO THE LAMB." The man child is what the text says, the Firstfruits of God. If the man child of Revelation 12:5 is describing the body of Christ, when and how did the 144,000 get there and for what reason are they there? Don't get me wrong, I am definitely pre trib but when we mix dispensations and don't rightly divide the word of truth then that's when great confusion arises

    1. BT,

Respectfully... The churches mentioned in Rev. 2-3 are all gentile churches. In fact, they are located in modern day Turkey.

In Acts 7:38, the word there used is "ekklesia", and is the word most commonly used for "assembly". It was translated "church" because that is how it is commonly translated throughout the Greek NT.

Same word, different definition, and one might argue... a poor translation into English, given the context.

Please note the primary meaning of "ekklesia", via Strong's:

1.) a gathering of citizens called out from their homes into some public place, an assembly

      A. an assembly of the people convened at the public place of the council for the purpose of deliberating

      B. the assembly of the Israelites

      C. any gathering or throng of men assembled by chance, tumultuously

Hebrews through Revelation are for the Jews alone? A bit of hyper-dispensationalism is required to make that leap.

The 144,000 are before the throne of God. Along with the rest of the martyrs of the Tribulation age. So, if beheading or an untimely death via persecution is your definition of "harpazo",then I guess the case can be made.

The 144,000 are the first fruits of the Tribulation saints. Not the Church or man child. The 144,000 as members of Christ's body are what keep the Jehovah's Witnesses in their errors.

I think I've answered all your points... You can't get to Pre-Trib with the 144,000 as part of the pre-trib, pre-wrath group of saints sealed by the Holy Spirit from Acts until present day, removed before the 7 years.

Again, the 144,000 are a First Fruits... of the Tribulation saints. Different dispensation, different corporate entity. All Jews. No Gentiles. Unlike the present dispensation.

They are concerned that this sign is false and will turn people away from the Bible and GOD. I am praying for me and my family as well as for everyone. Saved, unsaved, both side of the aisle of Christians. I am praying we go home. Im not here to darken anything...but I just remeber Jesus Himself speaking to the Pharisees and they believed Him not...and He was in Flesh and Blood in front of them....I am praying to GOD that His Holy Spirit will give us perfect wisdom and truth...Jesus is Truth so I am trusing what He says. ...I go and prepare a place for you, that where I am , you may be also..Watch.. 1. My friend, as someone who was told by parents that Jesus couldn't tarry beyond Y2K:

I'm still tarrying. In my weakness. In my sin. In my failures... I still tarry.

And if we're still here on the 24th, I will tarry on.

If you're all hung up on this sign as the sign of the rapture of the Church, if you think this is the end, and you're still here... on the 24th...

His coming is still closer than it has ever been... even then.

I see a bunch of prophecy conferences coming up. And I get it, I don't want them to be lightly attended, either. But... facts over revenue... probability over promises...

Most of these conferences have streaming options available (thank God)... So if the 23rd comes and goes, you can still pay to attend. This sign is not one to be neglected.

I have never seen such craziness within the body, especially amongst the so-called "conservative literalists". It's like they're more in love with the idea of Jesus coming back, than His literal coming.

We've all been burned: Y2K, 2012, Blood Moons, go on down the line with your specific brand of disappointment.

But in none of those cases, has the coming of Jesus to redeem His Bride and the earth been LESS close.

I so want to escape this dumb, overstimulated, earth body... But if I have to deal with it... so be it.

See you all at the Bema. Your lot is probably better than mine, but I will rejoice in the fact that I have gained life eternal.

  26. I have noticed that the closer September 23rd approaches, more comments are coming forth about the "possibility" we will still be here. I welcome that attitude as there are several that have drawn a definite line that we are out of here. One even said if we aren't, there isn't going to be a rapture. Those are the ones I am concerned about.

The hype over the blood moons did a lot of damage to our credibility as Christians. I dont want to see this Rev 12 "warning" sign further hurt our Christian testimony.

My faith will be INCREASED "if" we find ourselves still here MANY months after the warning sign. My studies dont show it any other way.....but I sure would like to be wrong and get out of here next week! But those months are going to be some difficult times for all.

I thank God for directing my fledgling Bible study several years ago to this Rev 12 sign playing out in the heavens in just 8 days. I have read scriptures on it, verified for myself on stellarium and other astronomy sites. This has the divine hand of God all over it.

    1. Of course, the possibilities exist.

I am not fully in, until my body ain't what it is now...

Regardless of what does or does not happen: It doesn't make the sign any less of a sign.

And might I remind anyone watching: Those who go "all-in" won't be accounted less than those who go "pssshaw" or worse.

If he chooses to show up, let us be content to know that He let us know beforehand. It's like a band that chooses to play a surprise concert: Those that get an invitation beforehand don't preclude others from hearing the music.

Thank you! This is one of my go to places for honest interpretation of scripture. I am 63 years old and found the Lord Jesus 55 years ago. Yeah, I went to a fundamental Baptist bible college (a bit legalist)LOL! My wife and I still are walking with Jesus moment by moment,(Children's ministry, Youth and Worship). I never post much, but I love others' posts. About four years ago God gave me the bulk of a song in one evening "Come Up Here" and so I recorded it, along with the rest of an album called "Heaven's Songs". I have thought this song was just for my edification but in light of Rev 12 and spending brain flipping hours searching out the matter, I think maybe this is for all of us. You can decide if this fits. My website is BeatUpGuitar.com ,Go to music on the menu and go to song #9 "Come Up Here". All these songs are free (some are better than others lol). Follow God's leading in this, I have been wrong before!

The latest video (only 16 minutes long) at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9mLmJypqm4 is amazing!

He discusses how God voids the rule of primogeniture (I didn't know what that was either) to explain his plan of salvation. It's really amazing and after I heard it, a topic in the bible I never quite understood suddenly made sense.

She provides a source citation that in a jubilee year the timing of the blowing of the trumpets on Rosh Hashanah is pushed back ten days and blown on Day of Atonement, when the 40 day warning from the eclipse ends!

I did a little research on my own and it appears that in a Jubilee year the blowing of the trumpets on Rosh Hashanah is pushed back *ten days* and blown on Day of Atonement instead, when the 40 day warning from the eclipse ends!

In a non-jubilee year the trumpets are blown on the first day of the seventh month (Rosh Hashanah), but according to Leviticus 25:8-9 (https://www.blueletterbible.org/niv/lev/25/1/s_115008) in a jubilee year the trumpets are instead blown on the Day of Atonement, ten days later.

For those who might be disappointed if nothing happens on FOT between 9-21 and 9-23 2017, please keep this verse in mind...

Rev 2:10 - Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for *ten days*. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor's crown.

  35. Okay, so we all know that the Feast of trumpets is primarily about the rapture. Could it be that the Revelation 12 sign's PRIMARY PURPOSE is to point to this year's Feast of trumpets? Could it be that it's marking this year or this year's Feast of trumpets as the year we've all been waiting for.

    1. That could very well be the case!

From my understanding the FOT will either be on 9/20-9/21 if the biblical moon is determined by concealment or 9/22-9/23 if it is determined by spotting the first visible sliver.

There is a lot of debate about that.

Verse 5 shows people, I believe middle eastern or Jewish, preparing for and taking part in a feast, but then shows war comes upon them. It makes me wonder about the Feast of Trumpets, and the UN national peace day being on the 21st, and the Thessalonians connection with their being sudden destruction. Could the USA be Babylon? I certainly think so, but regardless, it sure seems to match up with everything else going on.

So 9/20-9/24 + 9/30 are very high watch for me.

    2. Gary,

Please correct me if I’m overlooking something here… I’ve learned about this possible delay too and searched it but according to the study I’ve read, the 10 days delay of Rosh Hashanah to Yom Kippur happens at the START of the Jubilee Year! We are nearing the Jubilee Year’s end and I haven’t found anything so far on Rosh Hashanah delayed to Yom Kippur at the end of it. It’s at the beginning. Also, next Rosh Hashanah and Yon Kippur represents year 5778, no longer a Jubilee Year if I’m not wrong about that. The blast of the shofar at Yom Kippur (that signals the captives setting free) is also at the start of the Jubilee Year not at its end.

  41. Matthew 24 spells it out very clearly. When we see the tribulation...
followed by the sun turning dark, the moon not giving her light, the stars falling from heaven, then Christ comes in the clouds, with his angels gathering his elect from the four winds....

That is what I will be waiting to see and why we will be here for sometime after the Rev 12 sign.

The antichrist may come upon the scene during this sign...but we have a few events to check off before we are out of here.

    1. I believe Matt. 24 is talking about the end...The Day Of The Lord, not the rapture, they are two different events. The Rapture is before the that terrible day. Many get those two different times confused, in one Yashua comes into the clouds, he doesn't come to earth, he stays in the atmosphere, in The Day Of The Lord, he actually touches down on earth, and His Saints are with Him, this is right before the millennium.

      Delete
  42. Truthisall...Mathew 24 clearly presents a rapture. Christ is seen coming in the clouds, with his angel gathering elect from the four winds. There is no mention if touching down on Mt. of Olives. God's wrath begins ..and just as in the days of Noah, so it is here as we escape God's wrath , but have had to endure Satan's wrath with the great tribulation.

I am steadfastedly saying this as when we find ourselves seeing the antichrist come to power, we have to resist taking the mark of the beast. One HUGE comfort to me is the scripture saying that ONLY those not written in the book of life will do such a damnable thing.

World events are just about to be the worst this planet has seen, and our trials will be greater than there has ever been.

Thu Rev 12 sign is a divine marker warning bringing on the antichrist.

  43. I understand how you would understand Matt. 24 that way. I read in verse 3, Say to us, when shall this be, and what is THE sign of Your coming, AND...the end of the age, he is talking about both events here, I in NO way believe we will go through tribulation, as it doesn't line up with all previous history, The Father always takes his people out BEFORE tribulation.

    ReplyDelete
  44. My final thoughts......the sign in the Heavens, is just that A Sign! It doesn't mean we will be raptured at that moment, it means this is what is to come, it also is a sign that tribulation is near, it doesn't mean tribulation will start at that moment, so I will continue to serve My Adon, Yashua, and learn as much as I can, telling others about Him, and know because of this sign, it is near!

  46. Truthisall.....My intent is to state my view as others as yourself have. We are on the same minority team...Christianity...and I thank God to be blessed with such team mates as yourself and many others here that will indeed escape God's wrath. Its sad that most of the world doesn't believe in God, and such wrath. Then there are Christians that follow a nice moral life but really give no mind to eschatological topics and just live their humble lives in bliss. They along with all of us Christians will all meet together on God's timing, irrelevant to when each of us think that time is.

I feel its healthy to share diverse views, and I thank God for the end outcome which we all agree on...eternity in heaven bought by Christ dying on the cross
..saving each and everyone of our unworthy souls, and letting us live a future glorious life that we can ONLY IMAGINE!!

I REALLY believe if we fully understood what just 1% of what is in store for us...we would not be able to function as mere humans.

    Praise His Holy name!

  47. I believe so that all children under the age of accountability are under the cover of God’s mercy, therefore there’s a very good chance that they all will be gone in the rapture. I based this on what I’ve learned about God’s love and mercy so far and what the Apostle Paul said about himself, namely that reaching the age of accountability he “died”, talking about spiritual death. Based on that, he belonged to the Lord as a little child before his “spiritual death” happened when he came of a certain age. (My guess is that it depends on the mental capacity and it differs at every child as they mature. That’s just speculation on my part.) He came from a high-rank pharisaical family, so I don’t think his parents had him “covered”. So, I figure, all children under the age of accountability belong to the Lord (same goes for people who don’t have the mental capacity for choosing) and that’s why He’ll snatch them away too.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Speaking of children, I highly recommend we take time to meet as families and listen to the questions and concerns our children have concerning these days. We talk about them as adults but our children, who are listening, may not be asking the questions which are really on their hearts.

We had a family meeting last night after church and shared all the concerns and questions that have been on our hearts. This is a time for dialogue and discussion. A time to open our Bibles, our ears and our hearts to listen and share with those who have questions.

Let us start with our children and loved ones. Let us share with those we meet. Seek the LORD in prayer and seek Him first and foremost. Pray for those who are far from G-D. Encourage everyone with a love that proceeds from G-D.

Glory to G-D in the highest!

  49. Gary,

Have others mentioned the minor Jewish Holiday Shabbat Shuva on 9/23? Literally it means "RETURN!!" Interestingly, it might be a double meaning....return of Christ for his bride, and for Israel to return to back to the Lord during the tribulation. Its connected with the scripture Hosea 14: 1-10, which beautifully shows repentance for Israel, ultimately to bring blessing and protection for her. Here's a link:

    1. Hello, Robert,

Yes, I have mentioned Shabbat Shuba. The Great Sabbath is interesting in many respects. Shabbat Shuba generally translates as "Sabbath of her return" and is the second of two special Sabbaths in the year. The first is Shabbat HaGadol which occurs before Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread.

Shabbat HaGadol occurred on April 8th of this year. That day may sound familiar to some in this space as it is the date of the next total solar eclispe to complete the mark ("Tav") across America in 2024. (Exactly 7-years to the day)

Time and Date lists moonrise over Jerusalem this Saturday will be about 9:16am local time. (That would be 2:16am Eastern Time) The sun will be at meridian at 12:31pm (1 + 2 + 3 + 1 = 7) The moon will be at meridian at 3:04pm. (3 + 4 = 7) Hmmm, interesting.

  53. This evening will mark the end of Feast of Trumpets and the beginning of the Sabbath. This first Sabbath of the Civil New Year is called Shabbat Shuba and is the second of two special Sabbaths that bookend Passover and FoT. Shuba can be understood as "She returns" and is generally referred to as "Sabbath Return". It falls in the Days of Repentance with some seeing a linguistic connection between Shuba and Teshuva (repentance); thus is sometimes linked to repentance even though it is given as a time of inward cleansing.

Ashkenazic readings for Shabbat Shuba are (Hosea 14:2-10) and (Joel 2:15-27). Sephardic readings are (Hosea 14:2-10) and (Micah 7:18-20).

The first of the two special Sabbaths is Shabbat HaGadol. It fell on Saturday, April 8, 2017 -- SEVEN YEARS TO THE DAY BEFORE THE NEXT TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE OVER NORTH AMERICA ON 4/8/24.

It looks like the last Trump will usher in the Sabbath of Her Return around noon Eastern time today.

The Sign of Revelation 12 will rise over Jerusalem at 9:16am tomorrow morning (9/23/17) with the rising of the waxing crescent gibbous moon. The moon will be at meridian at 3:04pm and set at 8:47pm (Jerusalem time).

    ************** A SPECIAL NOTE AND REQUEST **************

Please, join me in prayer today for those who have endured great loss and pain in the wake of the latest disasters in the Caribbean, Mexico and US. Their loss is very real and they need our prayers even in these final hours. May we also pray for those who will form the new Church that rises out of the Tribulation to come. Be it next week or in 100-years from now.

    1. Yes, we keep late hours. An occupational hazard with the ministry we're involved in.

My family spent a special day today. It's my wife's birthday today (although we've been celebrating all week). Once the kids nodded off to bed, the Mrs and I went for a walk and watched (via software and live cams) the moon rise over Jerusalem.

It's a quiet, clear and beautiful night here in Georgia. There has been a real peace about these days. A stark contrast to that which is happening in the world around us. We're praying for our neighbours and rejoicing in the sign as testimony to G-D and all that He is doing. It is a brilliant witness for those who need to see physical proof of the existence of G-D.

Encouraging the saints and sharing the Gospel is what we do. Knowing the times and dates of these events would, on one hand, be awesome -- but then, not knowing is humbling...and to tell you the truth; I prefer that.

I can imagine a lot of things, but my hope is to be completely blow away by what G-D has in store. I don't think any of us are ready for what is to come. I think it will far exceed anything we could conjure for the glory of G-D is inexpressible and beautifully powerful beyond all description or measure.

Blessings to you all on this Sabbath Day, Shabbat Shuba.

May the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it. (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 ESV)

    1. Teaching a partial gospel is not the Gospel.

A healthy dialogue that challenges us and presses us from our comfort zones into territory that forces us to humbly admit that we are not in control is a good thing. That at some point in time we are going to fearfully, with trembling, come to the end of things as we know them, and face to face Almighty G-D. I submit that voices from all corners of the faithful Biblical spectrum should be heard so as to stir us up and strengthen our faith. May the Holy Spirit lead us through prayer and a faithful walk in Christ.

Holding each other accountable in a positive manner is very important for keeping us on the mark. But if we stray from encouragement and brotherly rebuke and go tripping into a ditch that leads others to believe there is a divide in the Church, we have a problem.

And yes, we have a problem.

Unity. This is the message that Christ gave us before His being taken in the garden. Unity and how we love one another.

Jack Hibbs has a lot of good things to say and I'm with him in many ways. The team at UNSEALED has done their homework and has done an excellent job of presenting a complete body of prophetic research. All of us suffer from the same problem...

OUR BRAINS ARE INFINITELY SMALLER THAN G-D's THUS WE ALL SUFFER FROM THE SAME PROBLEM.

      [emphasis not shouting]

I applaud Jack Hibbs jumping on the media hype on today (9/23/17). We're all on the same page. I applaud Jack jumping on those who don't properly apply Biblical study to current events and prophecy. He's teaching the same pre-tribulation, millennial Kingdom that I teach.

For all of this, I believe his heart is in the right place, but I am personally troubled that his message straddles mocking.

Brothers and sisters, let us be united in Christ and admonish and encourage each other out of love for one another as we continue to work-out our own salvation with fear and trembling. (John 17:22-23 ESV), (Philippians 2:12 ESV)

Yes, millions of people are wondering what will happen today. They should. We all need a healthy dose of humility. We are not the masters of the universe. G-D is. Our tendency to pack Him into our back pockets and pull Him out on Sunday morning is abominable. Let him who have an ear hear what the Spirit is telling us. It's time to wake up and get right with G-D.

Too much longer and it will be too late.

Thank you ALL for your positive and prayerful contributions to this forum. You serve not only as encourager, but as teacher to those who are asking questions and seeking answers. Together we spur thought and (hopefully) invite seekers and established brothers and sisters in the faith to get out their Bibles and prayerfully READ!!!

As long as we are all on the same page that Jesus Christ is the living Son of God. That He that paid in full, once for all, the price for sin and offers us the gift of eternal life through His death on the cross; we're good. The timing of when He comes is of lesser importance.

The Lord is coming. That's something none of us can refute. We need to be on-board of that message as this world is passing away and there's no two ways about that. His is the Message of Hope. His is the Message of Life.

Until the headlines read, "THE END IS HERE, SATAN DEFEATED AS CHRIST RETURNS" our job is not done.

      Delete
    2. " The first two arguments Jack Hibbs presents to debunk the Revelation 12 Sign are as follows:

First of all, every conservative theologian that's worth reading does not interpret Revelation chapter twelve, the woman and the stars and all, as this young man [Steve Cioccolanti] has just stated. It refers to the nation of Israel. It's a eschatological, parenthetical insert. It's an announcement that the nation of Israel will bring forth the man-child, the Messiah. The Messiah came from Israel. The twelve stars representing the twelve tribes. This is longtime-held conservative, orthodox eschatology of the book of Revelation. Number two: It's Revelation chapter twelve. It's very clear that this is during the Tribulation period, Jan, and this young man says it's going to happen soon...

For starters, having seen Brad's research, I'm concerned that Hibbs is being disingenuous here. He makes a bold statement that has now been shown to be incorrect. Why is a man of God making such a patently false statement? Could he not have at least said "I think" or "I bet" that "every conservative theologian... does not interpret Revelation chapter twelve [this way]"? No, he stated something as cold, hard truth that is anything but."

It's that last line that is so ironic. You don't realize the damage being done to new believers by this whole "Rev.12 sign". You've contributed to stating something as "cold, hard truth that is anything but." Sept 23 has nothing to do with the rapture. Do you know how many people will be spiritually shipwrecked? What will be the response now? Scottie won't be coming thru that door to back you up.

  56. Hi LookUP,

Actually, I don't known Scottie Clark and was Spirit led to the sign myself. What I do know is that we can theorize all we want. G-D will do what G-D said He will do.

The Sign of Revelation 12 is setting RIGHT NOW in Israel. The moon is ducking under the horizon as night has fallen on Shabbat Shuba. So what does that mean? It means a very simple truth. That our Lord Jesus Christ gave His servant the Apostle John revelation of the things to come. The sign we saw over Jerusalem is (in my humble opinion) authentically prophetic and exactly what we believe it to be. A sign.

    What does it mean?

The sign means G-D is doing what He said He would to do.

This should be a GREAT encouragement to all of us. This should be a great tool in our witness kit. The heavens testify to G-D. He left a message to us saying, "I AM here. I love you. Come! I have given everything for you to be with Me."

The sign declares the truth of all of Gospels. It is testimony to all that He has given us in the scriptures beginning to end. The sign pours forth speech that we all can understand. Surely we have heard it. Now is the time to go out renewed and refreshed to make disciples of all nations, one heart at a time.

That is my personal and humble response to sign. If we make a mistake of pride, we miss the whole point of the sign, we risk missing our calling and risk doing more damage than good.

It's all about G-D. It is His Story. Not ours. He invites us on an incredible journey. There's still room for more in the Ark.

Glory to G-D in the highest!

I guess the Bethlehem Star never occurred because everyone who lived contemporaneous to that event was still there after it happened, same with every other astronomical event in the bible because people were still there afterwards?

Your reasoning seems so out there, I'm prompted to ask out of curiousity, what denomination if any do you belong to, or is this a private interpretation of yours.

We're still waiting for your proof. Maybe you accidentally deleted when typing your reply. Please post it. This is your big opportunity to prove how right you were all along.

    8. I owe you no proof. Who am I?
      Btw, who are you?

    9. That's what I thought LookUP. You have no proof nor can you cite proof from anyone, not one person on the entire planet because if you could, you would to extricate yourself from looking so ridiculous. It's irrelevant who I am. If I proved to you who I was you'd probably say it's not true because "we're all still here" ; )

  57. LookUP, are you Mrs. Hibbs by chance?

Scottie has unequivocally stated he is not saying it's a rapture date, only that it's a possible rapture date based on the strong evidence.

    1. I am not Jack Hibbs, but I do see your master skills of redirection. Reminds me of someone...hmmm.

    2. Misdirection is right. I said Mrs. Hibbs, not Mr.

Again, where is your proof? I don't mean your personal proof, I mean proof from ANYONE. Where is your proof? You keep saying it's not a sign as if repetition makes it true. Everyone is anxious to see your proof. You've slandered Scottie Clarke (and likely others) and you should apologize if you have no evidence to refute his research. Hibbs is as wrong today as he was weeks ago, so no apology is required. In fact, he should apologize for dismissing things out of hand with no evidence.

    3. Excuse me, I can't keep up with your slander. Now we're after MRS Hibbs... Ok. You may need to seek some help.
      Here ya go:

    4. LookUP, please answer this. Do you believe we're commanded to watch?

If you agree, then should those watching NOT offer any insight or analysis on what they see after watching or should they just watch and not say anything?

Keep this verse in mind when you answer.

      Eze 33:6
But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes someone's life, that person's life will be taken because of their sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood.'

OK, now we're getting somewhere (maybe) - Where/What is this foul doctrine you speak of? Please be specific

    1. This can't be taught. It's a Holy Spirit thing. A good place to start is humility. Stop the games.

    2. So is the Holy Spirit who speaks to you the same one that speaks to others who have a contrary view? How do you know it's the Holy Spirit? I've witnessed many people attribute their views to the Holy Spirit and I believe many do so because maybe without thinking about it, deep down they believe attributing something to the Holy Spirit gives them credibility. It's namedropping of the highest order in my opinion.

So again, if your views are from the Holy Spirit and conflict with someone else's views from the Holy Spirit, how do you know you're right and they are wrong?

Personally speaking I never attribute things to the Holy Spirit because I just don't know if it is and because I personally think to attribute something to the Holy Spirit that is wrong is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.

  59. By the way, foul doctrine aside because there are always going to be people on the periphery intellectually, doctrinally, etc., and they are responsible for their own actions.

You called out Scottie Clarke so let's focus on him since you apparently have issue with him specifically. How is he drunk on foul doctrine?

    1. I admire Clarke and anyone like him who digs hard into the Word of God to pan for and find nuggets of scriptural gold. I think it's a very honorable thing and that's why he's well liked. The only people I see criticizing him are those who have contributed nothing or very little or what they do contribute they do for the love of money. If you watched his older videos you would know he has struggled economically and was homeless recently. Given his following and his circumstances it would be understandable for him to ask for money, monetize his videos, etc. He hasn't, all he has said is if you want to contribute you can and that's only because people asked. I admire the hell out of that!

    2. No, I actually said ... "I admire Clarke and anyone like him who digs hard into the Word of God to pan for and find nuggets of scriptural gold."

I only compared his financial situation with those pursuing the love of money and I suspect you knew that but it's easier for you to make a straw man argument since 20 posts later you still cannot back up your earlier statements that Clarke is wrong other than you claim that it's a Holy Spirit thing. Does the Holy Spirit also tell you to mock Clarke?

Clarke seems to bring out the worst in people like you whose egos won't let you stop looking for a way to malign him. What a petty person you are. You argue he's wrong not because you have proof but because you say so. There's not much else to say to you sport. Your comments here serve to memorialize who you are, a jealous and petty person angry that someone else got accolades for likely discovering something. All you do is sit back and look for an opportunity to twist facts so you can level false charges against someone. That's pathetic. You sound like a triggered lefty (Antifa maybe?)

I'm done for the night. I really hope you're only in your teens because that would mean you still have time to mature, if not sadly I don't see much hope for you.

  60. Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

What we have seen we have seen with our own eyes. Each of us must determine if we believe or not. I for one believe. The blessing that I have received at living the day that my LORD's revelation to the Apostle John was manifest is wonderful beyond words.

I am humbled by that fact and thankful.

Only G-D could set this in the heavens. I offer this as proof,

"The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world." (Psalm 19:1-4 ESV)

We either take G-D at His word or we don't. If it looks like a sign, reads like a sign and matches the description of a sign. It is most likely a sign. the litmus test is in our heart.

We can believe what we want. Truth is truth and truth will be told. I am at peace with my decision to believe for my faith is in the G-D of our Fathers. My faith is in Jesus Christ.

Glory to G-D in the highest!

    Grace and peace to you,

    Pastor Rich

  61. Can the site owner here obtain the banned poster's IP address and match it against the poster who was banned called LookUp and post the IP address. It's not hard or expensive to ID the person or get a subpoena issued to his ISP for his or her identity for these repeated spam attacks. An attorney will take the case on contingency because if the troll poster has renter's or home owner insurance they can be forced to pay. The effect on his or her insurance is the spammer's problem.
