Prophecy Being Fulfilled: Hiding In The Caves Of The Earth

A strange phenomenon is occurring all over the world: an unprecedented bunker-building rush.  The timing is absolutely impeccable from a biblical perspective.

Consider first the words of Isaiah 2:10-22 in regards to the soon coming Day of the LORD:

Go into the rocks, hide in the ground
from the fearful presence of the Lord
and the splendor of his majesty!
The eyes of the arrogant will be humbled
and human pride brought low;
the Lord alone will be exalted in that day.

The Lord Almighty has a day in store
for all the proud and lofty,
for all that is exalted
(and they will be humbled),
for all the cedars of Lebanon, tall and lofty,
and all the oaks of Bashan,
for all the towering mountains
and all the high hills,
for every lofty tower
and every fortified wall,
for every trading ship
and every stately vessel.
The arrogance of man will be brought low
and human pride humbled;
the Lord alone will be exalted in that day,
and the idols will totally disappear.

People will flee to caves in the rocks
and to holes in the ground
from the fearful presence of the Lord
and the splendor of his majesty,
when he rises to shake the earth.
In that day people will throw away
to the moles and bats
their idols of silver and idols of gold,
which they made to worship.
They will flee to caverns in the rocks
and to the overhanging crags
from the fearful presence of the Lord
and the splendor of his majesty,
when he rises to shake the earth.

Stop trusting in mere humans,
who have but a breath in their nostrils.
Why hold them in esteem?

And then consider Revelation 6:15-17, which occurs during the sixth seal judgment:

Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?”

From Hollywood Reporter:

Given the increased frequency of terrorist bombings and mass shootings and an under-lying sense of havoc fed by divisive election politics, it's no surprise that home security is going over the top and hitting luxurious new heights.

Or, rather, new lows, as the average depth of a new breed of safe haven that occupies thousands of square feet is 10 feet under or more. Those who can afford to pull out all the stops for so-called self-preservation are doing so ...

Gary Lynch, GM at Rising S Bunkers, a Texas-based company that specializes in underground bunkers and services scores of Los Angeles residences, says that sales at the most upscale end of the market ... have increased 700 percent this year compared with 2015, and overall sales have risen 150 percent. "Any time there is a turbulent political landscape, we see a spike in our sales."

Adds Mike Peters, owner of Utah-based Ultimate Bunker, which builds high-end versions in California, Texas and Minnesota: "People are going for luxury to live underground because they see the future is going to be rough. Everyone I've talked to thinks we are doomed, no matter who is elected."

Many other stories demonstrate that the explosive growth in bunker-building and doomsday "prepping" is very, very real:

While some preparation is good common sense, many take it to extremes - trying to hold onto a dying world.  This planet is a sinking ship and you best be on the winning side by getting right with God because if you think nuclear war and terrorism are frightening, I don't recommend meeting the God of the universe as His enemy.

  1. The saddest thing of all is Christians who support this lunacy by trashing the pre-trib Rapture and pushing a post-trib Rapture--led by con men like Jim Bakker, et al.

It's goodbye prosperity gospel, hello prepper's gospel, and the den of thieves Jesus threw out of the temple would weep with admiration.

    1. Agreed. Amazing how many men seem to be looking for every single event during the tribulation yet not look for the one and only event the Church is repeatedly told to look for: the coming of Christ.
