2014-01-08 Signs

Earthquakes – increased activity.  Some recent with massive damage:  Christ’s Church New Zealand (2x), Haiti, Chili, Fukushima, Northridge.

Volcanos – Yellowstone caldera rumbling, islands springing up, mass evacuations from Iceland, to Alaska, to Indonesia, to the Canary Islands.  Rumors of a big one on the west coast or in the new Madrid, but not yet.

Hurricanes – definitely Rita, Gustav, Ike, Andrew, Katrina…

Tornadoes – yes, see Norman Oklahoma, Tuscaloosa.

Typhoon – Haiyan 2013 Phillippines – worst in recorded history

Recent massive Australian flooding. (last few years)

2014 U.K. flooding.

Wildfires from Australia, to California, Texas and Colorado.  Massive – getting worse.

Comets, Asteroids and Meteors – 2013 Russian explosion – something definitely on the rise.

Weather – 2014 Super vortex freeze – all 50 states below freezing (of course Hawaii’s was at 14,800 feet).

Economic tension – EU – Italy – Spain – Greece – Portugal – Ireland – USA downgrade.

Syria – Psalms 83.   Egypt – Jeremiah 49 coming.  Libya, Tunisia, Saudi, Iraq, Iran, Jordan….

Middle East Peace talks, but the treaty is not yet come in.

Pandemic – H1N1, H5N1…  Now human flu for 2014 is H1N1…

Prophecies (maybe) last pope, Ariel Sharon, but who knows.

Revived Roman empire – heading that way western (EU), eastern (Islam).

Pale Horse (Green) – Islam…coming.

Chernobyl, Fukushima – radiation, destruction, but still the world hasn’t absorbed the impact.

Bird and Fish death by the millions (Hosea 4), but the impact to the eco system has not been fully realized.

Genetic engineering with the food supply, bee deaths widespread, but we in the west have plenty of money and aren’t rioting and starving like they are in Africa and Egypt, and so we troll on.

BP releases millions of gallons into the Gulf, so that the sea is red, but somehow we pay no mind to the death, destruction and disease.

I for one don’t want anything to eat out of the gulf or the western pacific and I sure don’t want any blue fin tuna.  Still the world has not noticed.

Everywhere is great tension, but nothing has quite popped yet.

I believe it will pop like a string of dominoes, when it comes and we are close to the kick off.

The music is getting louder, the contractions faster, harder and closer together, but we have not yet reached the crescendo, but it is well on the way.

Signs

Genesis 1:14

Then God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years;

John 3:9-10

Nicodemus said to Him, “How can these things be?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Are you the teacher of Israel and do not understand these things?

Matthew 16:1-4

The Pharisees and Sadducees came up, and testing Jesus, they asked Him to show them a sign from heaven. But He replied to them, “When it is evening, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.’ And in the morning, ‘There will be a storm today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Do you know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but cannot discern the signs of the times?  An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and a sign will not be given it, except the sign of Jonah.” And He left them and went away.

Hebrews 10:23-25

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

Matthew 24:32-34

 “Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near; so, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door. Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.

Remember the triumphal entry?  (Matt 21, Mark 11, John  12) When the crowds shouted Hosanna!  

Waiving a palm branch was like waiving the red, white and blue.  It was the national symbol.  As people in force marched into Jerusalem, their national pride was high.  They hated the Romans and waived the flag, saying here is our champion, the one who will cast off our enemies.  Of course they didn’t realized this was the first coming – as a lamb to the slaughter.

The Pharisees told Jesus to hush these people up, before they caused a riot and caused the Romans in Fortress Antonio to come pouring like ants from a disturbed mound and take the Jewish religion system apart.

In Matthew 24, Jesus speaks of the fig leaf.  This was the holy religious symbol.  The followers on the road from Jericho and Bethany to Jerusalem weren’t waiving the small fig leaf, to say let us be holy.  They waived the big palm leaf and said let’s kill destroy and have out way.

Matthew 24 is a super sign.  Israel becoming a nation again, on May 14^th, 1948.  The only people group in the history of the world to come back together after such a long time. 

When you see Israel reborn (the fig leaf)..recognize that Christ is right at the door.  This generation, the one who sees this will not all pass away, until all is fulfilled.

2014 – 1948 =  66 years.

Is this the year?  Don’t know.  It seems we are approaching a precipice, a crescendo, but God is patient.  2 Peter 3:9.

The Revelation 12 mid-tribulation signs, seems to be forecasted for the fall of 2017.  (see Mark Blitz and Scottie Clark – YouTube/EternalRythymFlow ) Mid-trib begins 3 ½ years earlier.  If so, the spring of 2014, should be stunning.

We are now 100 days out from Passover. 

My point – I don’t know the day or the hour, but the signs are everywhere, the tension is mounting and we are leaving.
