At Just The Right Time

These verses are on my mind.

Galatians 4:4-5 (NASB) But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.

Romans 5:6-8 (NASB) For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Mark 1:14-15 (NASB) Now after John had been taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”

At just the right time.  Powerful words.

God is HOLY HOLY HOLY!!! JUSTICE AND RIGHTEOUSNESS AND PERFECTION - COMPLETELY.

Not one bit of Him or anything anywhere not even in His imagination and consciousness is anything other than fully His, fully Obedient, fully and throughly completely through and through perfect.

Hebrews 12:29 for our God is a consuming fire.

Yet Perfect justice and holiness sought to share His perfect boundless love.  Tension.

Isaiah 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying, ‘My purpose will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure’;

Perfection knew in advance that sin, rebellion, blasphemy, murder, rape, greed, abuse, sodomy and every perversion would consume the creation.  God alone is Good.  Apart from Him is utter darkness, with wailing and gnashing.

So here is my question - How could complete perfection entertain the thought of a fallen and depraved creation.

How could anything anywhere exist for even a moment apart from His consuming righteous justice perfection and holiness?

That our wickedness and our names are even allowed to pass into His HOLY thoughts is astounding.

Who am I to be a part of His conscious?

When Perfect Holiness comes in contact with imperfection the darkness flees. Every time.

So how is that we are not consumed?

Lamentations 3:22 Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.

This is no small thing.

God is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent.  He is all powerful, all knowing and all present.  Just because we don't see God in the room, doesn't mean He is not fully present in every atom of His creation.

There is not a molecule that He does not hold in His hand and say mine.  Every thought, motive and action are His.

2 Corinthians 10:5 We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,

God is not bound by time.  He created time.  He is the author of E=MC squared.

It seems to me that perhaps God chose to wrap us in time, in order to protect us, at least temporarily from His justice.

In the great expanse of everlasting to everlasting, God created a small sliver called time and in it His perfect justice was stayed for a vapor, a moment.  In this moment we call world history God spoke the creation.  He created us in His image.

He brought perfect 100% HOLY DIVINITY into 100% PURE HUMANITY and Jesus who was and is and is to come, who is the Logos, God with us, who was with God in the beginning became simultaneously and fully man.

In His Diety and humanity He bore our sins and by His stripes we are healed.

1 Peter 2:24 and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed

People often complain about time.  In my prison ministry you hear it constantly. I hope I get back my time. I can't wait to get out of here.

Ordinary people everywhere can't wait until 5 o'clock or quitting time on Friday or football season or the ending of football season.  The start of school.  The end of school.  When I get a job.  When I leave this job. When I get married.  When I get out of this marriage.  When I can have high enough credit score.  When I can be debt free.  When I buy a boat.  When I sell a boat.

It seems we never have enough time and the time we have we don't like.

Time is a great and wondrous miracle..

If God had ended time as soldiers wept in fox holes in the black forest of world war II and begged for His return, your out.  Of if as Job wrestled with God, He returned.  If as He said to Noah, I am grieved that I made man - he took them all out, including those last 8.

Those families and children in Iraq being crucified and decapitated in Iraq are begging for His return.

It is only by God's dear mercies that any of us have come to know Him.  He in His wrath and righteousness and justice should have come back as the LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH and KING OF KINGS long ago (and make no mistake He will).  He should have never even conceived of the whole wretched mess of us, but He did.  Love does that.

Time is a great friend.  It is also a cruel companion, for when it is over, it is over.

2 Peter 3:9 (NASB) The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

Isaiah 55:6 Seek the Lord while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near.

The sad truth is that we are poor stewards of the time we are given and by all indications for all of us, Time's up!

His judgement is at the door.

Either you're about to be snatched out of time's way or you are about to go through the longest seven years in all the history of history both now and forever.  Although apparently two out of three won't have enough time and will be killed during this horror.

Be ready.

If you know Him, praise Him that you have one more day to be transformed into the image of the Son (1 John 3:1-3, Romans 8:29, John 17) and one more day to do the work He gave us to do Ephesians 2:10, Matthew 28:18-20.

Maranatha!

  3. Amen and Amen....I'm worried a bit.. Every one looking up at the eclipse..The revelation 12 sign...I tell my self and my family and anyone who will listen..( those numbers are getting smaller even with those who say they are Christian)..To look up for Jesus. He is who I am looking for. I pray that I am counted worthy to escape all these things and to be able to hear my Savior say well done thou good and faithful servant. Repenting and praying daily. I am scared. To really stand before God Almighty. I can even imagine. I will have nothing to give or say except all that Jesus has done..period.
