3 Day Warning Before Dispensation Changes?

An interesting theory is making the rounds that God may give a roughly three day warning to believers that He is coming.  Perhaps this is the "midnight cry" of Matthew 25:6.  This is an interesting thought and I think it is possible, but the Bible is not emphatic one way or the other.  We are called to be ready and watchful no matter what day He comes.

...But some interesting points:

1. Before the dispensation of law, Moses was given a three day warning.

"And the LORD said to Moses, 'Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow. Have them wash their clothes and be ready by the third day, because on that day the LORD will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people. Put limits for the people around the mountain and tell them, 'Be careful that you do not approach the mountain or touch the foot of it. Whoever touches the mountain is to be put to death. They are to be stoned or shot with arrows; not a hand is to be laid on them. No person or animal shall be permitted to live.' Only when the ram's horn sounds a long blast may they approach the mountain.'" - Exodus 19:10-13

2. Before the dispensation of grace, the disciples were given a three day warning.

"He told them, 'This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day,'" - Luke 24:46

  1. 7 days waiting on the ark before the flood.

7 days of warning for Jericho.

    3's and 7's :)
