23

I'm still amazed when I remember that in Daniel 9 the arrival of Messiah was prophesied to the very day.  69 weeks of years (x 7) = 483 x 360 = 173,880 days.  Triumphal entry March 29th, 33AD (source).
I think about Israel’s rebirth on May 14th, 1948 as predicted to the day from Ezekiel 4—907,200 days (source).
God is in charge and is the Lord of precision, symmetry and beauty.
I have often wondered if the difference in these two dates has some meaning, perhaps the length of the church age and the three dates were kind of a triune framework (907,200 - 173,880 = 733,320).
That thesis hasn’t proved fruitful, but this is what started me looking and led me to something else—the overwhelming number of converging numbers found by many, chief among them Daniel Matson, at WatchfortheDay.org.
---
As Chuck Missler has taught me, taking God’s word very literally is critical.  Is God’s heart for the church age and the time of the Gentiles to last two full solar calendar millennia?
As God’s end of the age plan has increasingly been revealed over the last few years, the following verses have become more dear and precious to me.

John 4:39–43 (NASB):

From that city many of the Samaritans believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, 'He told me all the things that I have done.' So when the Samaritans came to Jesus, they were asking Him to stay with them; and He stayed there two days. Many more believed because of His word; and they were saying to the woman, 'It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves and know that this One is indeed the Savior of the world.' After the two days He went forth from there into Galilee.

Hosea 6:1–3 (NASB):

Come, let us return to the Lord. For He has torn us, but He will heal us; He has wounded us, but He will bandage us. 2 He will revive us after two days; He will raise us up on the third day, that we may live before Him. 3 So let us know, let us press on to know the Lord. His going forth is as certain as the dawn; And He will come to us like the rain, like the spring rain watering the earth.

2 Peter 3:8–9 (NASB):

But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

Given the obvious lateness of the hour, the two millennia that have passed and these verses, it is clear that God’s intention for the church age is two millennia.
This makes me wonder about the length of the church age, the precision, symmetry and beauty.  Of course, no one knows the day or the hour, for now we see through a glass dimly (1 Cor. 13:12), but one day we will see clearly and maybe we’ll wonder how we missed it.
What if the heart of God was for the door of salvation to be opened from 33 AD to 2033 AD?

From Pentecost, May 24th, 33 AD (the conception of the church) to Pentecost, June 5th, 2033 is:

730,499 days.
+
2,550 days (The tribulation described in Daniel 12 with day counts of 1260, 1290, and 1335)
=
733,049
---
Back to my original hypothesis where we take the difference between the day counts given in Ezekiel 4 and Daniel 9 (733,320 days).
733,320 - 733,049 = 271 days.  9 months.  A gestation period.  Makes me wonder if this could be a bookend gestation period to Christ's.
These numbers don’t reconcile perfectly, but they are fascinatingly close.

Not trying to find the date, but just thought it fascinating that these numbers were so similiar.
---
Back on the road forward, the Word tells us the days will be cut short.  Will 2018 be the time of His return?  Of course we don't know, but this brought up a small side bar question - are we presently in some kind of 9 month bookend gestation period following September 23rd?  I don't know, but one thing I do know is that it is very, very late and we're closer than ever.  So share the gospel and be ready!

Grateful that God's love for us is both patient, but also allows for adjustments in the plan so that some might be saved.

Matthew 24:22 (NASB):

Unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.

What if “23” was the magic number?  As in 9/23 and Leviticus 23 and the interesting possibility that the conception of the church occurred the day after the 23rd on 5/24/33.  One age ended on the 23rd.
Since the days are shortened, how much longer?

Its interesting to me that the sacrificial system continued another 37 years after the new age began, finally ending in 70 AD and the church age will be cut short.  23 years?  Don't know.
23 years x 360 days = 8,280 days.
733,049 (2nd millennia beginning in 2033 + the tribulation period = 2040) - 8,280 days (23 years) = 724,769 days.
Pentecost, May 24th, 33 AD church conception to September 23rd, 2017 birth sign = 724,765 days.
These numbers are fascinatingly close.  The 9/23 sign was 23 biblical years short of the 2nd millennial anniversary of the conception of the church + the length of the tribulation period.
Bottom line: it's interesting that 23 seems to confirm and point back to and confirm the Revelation 12:1-2 sign of 9/23/17.  As always we won't know the day or the hour of the return, but at some point it will all tie out and make perfect sense.
---
As an aside:  September 11th, 2001 to Valentine’s day February 14th, 2018 = 6,000 days.

  1. I wish someone could show if there is scriptural support for 365.25 days in a year during the age of grace (when calculating Christ's return after 2,000 years because that would explain much. 2000 years based on 365.25 days in a year converts to more years (2,029 years) when using God's 360 days in a year. We're missing something somewhere.

    1. Ecclesiastes 10.2, If you subtract 33 from 2018 you end up with 1985 years. Multiply 1985 by 365.25 to get 725021.25. Now divide 725021.25 by 360 (a Biblical year) to get 2013.95, or just about 2014 years. By this metric, we are already there.

    2. Greg are you saying we may have till 2033 ? That would put the fig tree generation well over 70 yrs or 80 by strength right ?

    3. That reference would be none other than the Bible itself.

God gave a calendar in the Bible and instructed mankind not to change the times and seasons, e.g. Dan 7:25 showing they would be anyway.

Almost all of them have it wrong. The truth is scattered among a lot of researchers. One good start is wake-up.org. Not comprehensive, but a good start.

    4. Sorry for double post,

      - all the rounding or generalizations don't work with a lunar calendar.

And, God's calendar given in scripture is lunar.

Look into the research on historical astronomy. And, may be a key that's unlocking or unsealing per Daniel.

    5. Has anyone considered 14 year tribulation period? 7 for church, 7 for Jews? If you do, you will realize that things make more sense.

Have you noticed that there are 2 mentions in the book of Daniel of the end times, abominations, antichrist? Daniel 9 and Daniel 12....Why?

is it because these are two separate events? One for the church and one for the Jews? and yes, I also believe that all will be done by 2033...but I don't believe the church will be here till then...Bride goes soon, Church left behind after 7 years, then Jews 6 or 7 years after that...remember, it says that satan knows he has "but a short time left (time, times, half a time), less than one year????

I recommend checking out Ministry Revealed on Youtube to get a different, and I believe accurate, perspective of the tribulation period. But you may need to throw some pre conceived theories out the window...such as a 7 year tribulation period.

      God Bless You.

  2. It is fun to ponder, but I think we need to accept that we won't know:

Acts 1:7 "He said to them: "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority."

Matt 24:44 "So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."

I'm at peace with not knowing. God says I won't know. Trying to figure it out in spite of what He says is like trying to force a square peg into a round hole, and I know He's trying to keep me from being needlessly frustrated, AND to keep me focused where HE wants me focused.

    1. Then, Daniel gives a 1335-day countdown *to the day*.

It was not for Christ's disciples, per Daniel sealing up that until the end days, explicitly.

The truth those going to be in the bride are going to know TO THE DAY when that countdown starts.

    2. Ben,

Consider that the book of Matthew is for the Jews, Mark for the Church, and Luke for the Bride...

In each of the books the pharisees and the disciples ask Jesus for a sign of His coming...

Well, in Matthew Jesus gives them the sign of Jonah, 3 days and 3 nights
In Luke, He gives them the sign "just as Jonah was unto Ninevah a sign", which could be 40 days, since that was the message Jonah gave Ninevah.
In Mark, Jesus said, "these people will get NO SIGN".

Ever wonder why they re different? it's because it is speaking to 3 different groups of people.

Daniel 9 for Jews, Daniel 12 for Church.
Also, consider 1 Timothy for Church, 2 Timothy for Jews....same things with Thessalonians, Corinthians, Peter....the 1st for the Church, the 2nd for the Jews when it speaks of End Times.

And Daniel 12 says that from one event "daily sacrifice taken away" (I believe the church who is being killed) and is raptured, and to the "abomination that is being set up" is 1290 days....so from one event, to the other, is that many days.

As for the 1335 days....could it be that there is another month added in that year, as the Jews add a month every few years to keep up with the lunar phases....

  3. Hmmm. Fantastic job and article! The Missler articles are basically irrefutable proof of God for the secular world. But do you think God would give the Rev 12 Sign that many years beforehand? I kinda think we're still missing a piece of the puzzle too.

    1. I don't know, there are so many unknowns. The only clue I was betting so much on was God's astronomical clock but when nothing happened in 2017 with regard to Rev 12, I was just left bewildered, especially when all the tumblers to unlock the date seemed obvious (500, 120, 70 and 50 year jubilee patterns were all lined up).

I found clues in the book of Jasher about the age of Adam and Eve when they left the Garden of Eden that I thought provided a clue to the real year we're in based on speculation about the astronomical configuration that occurred in 3914 BC some were connecting to Rev 12. For now, I'm just looking for clues as the old Robert Palmer song says.

    2. I hear ya! The Great Sign is, I believe, a starting line, a milepost, a reference. For generations the saints have believed that they were living in the end times -- and that they were living in the final days. In some ways, I think we're all correct. What we experience as centuries G-d measures as a wisp, not even a twinkling in eternity. Peter clearly bears that out.

But the Revelation 12 Sign is, I believe, a sign marking the beginning or a starting point. The synchronisation of counts and dates bears witness to a holy sign that only G-D Himself could have made; and made so that we would know the season in which we were living. Wars and rumours of wars has existed for centuries. I believe the Father wanted us to have a way of knowing *when* these things were coming to a climax. By His celestial sign we may know there is no deception as the enemy didn't make the stars. He can only work to confuse our understanding and interpretation of them.

More so, the Revelation 12 Sign is a proof...a proof of G-D's word. To me it is an encouragement and witness to the authenticity of the Bible and His plan for His creation. That while we may not be able to trace His hand, we can surely know His heart! The Revelation 12 Sign is also a physical and scientific proof which may be used as a tool when witnessing to others who don't yet know Christ.

Personal belief is a matter of the heart and found in the depths of Love.

Hopefully my words offer confirmation that someone else is feeling the same way.

    3. Richard, I always believed in the "trigger" function of Rev12-sign last year! Since then, we cannot even count every important prophetic event in each 'section' (Israel, natural desasters, wars, famines, diseases, heavenly signs, moral/spiritual decline etc) each DAY now - they're just TOO MANY of them! The whole "endtimes procedures" have just so much accelerated and aggravated you can't cope with'em anymore. Does that make me happy? YES OF COURSE! JESUS IS COMING!!

  5. I see so many different theories and thoughts on long range dates like when was the Earth created, and which date was the Lord actually born on and when he was risen. Granted we have narrowed down the possibilities quite well but still some troublesome uncertainties persist. We have too many variables in the mix for absolutes when it comes to longtime past dates. That in turn causes much conjecture and data revisiting when we start to try to get the numbers to fit with the Lords plan.

Now I for one wish not to be called a hypocrite, because honestly I continue to search these very things out in the glorious hope that I do find the answers to our prophetic timeline, much like many of you do too. And because of these searches I have been incredibly blessed in seeing the absolute amazing awesomeness of our Lords design, also much like many of you.

So while we remain waiting and searching for Lords gathering of the Church and the start of the Trbulation I believe it is easier to look at events that are happening in these days. Such as the rebirth of Israel, the recent political upheavals in the Mid East, the Worlds follies, earthquakes, odd weather, all of the Lords creation and so on and so on.

These “recent” events I believe are proofs to the Lords plan that we can understand and grasp. Time is truly short. The Israel, Syria/Russia/Iran and Damascus events are truly evident of that.

So while I will also continue with the searching of the “long dates” with the hope of finding the answer to knowing the days, I am overly amazed at the “short dates” that keep building up in accordance to our Lords Word.

  6. Well, if it's 2033, I confess I'll be disappointed.

It's been pointed out: some of the geo-political pieces in place must have a shelf life. I'm trying to decide at what point do I start thinking maybe the pre-trib model doesn't fit? Hmm maybe.

Several friends that were interested back in the fall have already checked back into the no-one-knows-the-day-or-the-hour camp. I keep on thinking we're supposed to be watching and expecting. But the endless speculation sometimes does sound forced or wishful thinking...

  7. Hi,

I've followed Daniel's (watchfortheday) dates and charts for quite a while now. He is a genuine believer and a nice guy. Loves the Lord and longs for His return (as we all should). But there is a common element in all the dates he has proposed for the rapture and the start of the tribulation (in many charts, sure-thing pointers, divisions of pi etc)... they have all been wrong. Including his latest ones for the rapture and/or start of Daniel's 70 week on the 9th Feb 2018 just been. My simple point is really just a reminder for all who write on prophecy...

"watch for the day" is a biblical concept.
"continually name the day" is not.

In the short term repeatedly naming the day of the Lord's return is sensational and may keep people on edge and watchful but long term it leads to the opposite where disillusioned people start saying 'where is the promise of his coming?'... or something worse.

There is more than enough biblically relevant events happening in Israel, Syria, Iran, Turkey and Russia etc (not to mention what is happening to Western civilization!) to keep the believer watchful, alert and expectant without having to find a date that the Bible doesn't give.

My 2c coming from a few months of frustration :) God Bless!

    1. Elgordo - I think you are stating what a number of people are thinking. However the reason why we cannot simply ignore the updates from Dan, is that they are correct in the equations, even if they are possibly wrong with what the dates are assuming. I tend not to think of Dans updates as "days of the Lords return", but simply dates by which something of significance is expected to take place. When the Magi saw the star, that in itself was simply an indicator of the main event, but not the main event itself. So what happened on the 9th as indicated in Dans update. Not the return of the Lord, but the release of the drone into Israeli airspace by Iran, beginning what has been the most significant airstrike into Syria since 1982. It could be a lone event, or it could be the start of something significance. Time will tell.

I agree 100% with what you said. Well spoken.

    3. Thanks for the reply Ryan. I understand what you are saying. And if you want to see Watchfortheday's dates as 'here is a date where something interesting might possibly happen (like Israel striking Syria - which incidentally was on the 10th, not the 9th)' that's up to you. But it is not what he is saying. He is giving the start of Daniel's long awaited 70th week (clearly stated on the charts), and by implication the rapture as he believes in a pre-trib rapture. He basically has had a closing date for the tribulation (was 2024, then early 2025, will soon move further forward I assume) and then has been working backwards from that to try work out when Daniel's 70th week will begin. Get the original date wrong and your starting date is also wrong (which it has proved to be quite a few times, like the recent 9th Feb 2018).

But anyway, my post was not meant to be specifically about him (just an example as Greg mentioned his work). My post was meant to be a general plea against the sensationalist type approach that has to name the date of the Lord's return, normally with all sorts of numbers (which, unfortunately, are easily manipulated - including taking a number in the news and looking up Strong's Greek numbers to get the "interpretation" about the Lord's coming) and seemingly little humility or accountability when the date of return comes to nothing, leaving believers disillusioned... but just yet another date proposed. It's been going on for ages, reached a new level around 2000, and has certainly obtained a new threshold in the last few years. As I mentioned in the original post:

"watch for the day" is a biblical concept.
"continually name the day" is not.

Oh well... I don't comment on this site much so I'll go back into my hole now : )

Have a great day and may God bless.

They had no internet yet - I am so grateful how God still provides for us in endtimes. Hopefully, the grid doesn't go down with this next big CME announced? I admit being unable to communicate with my brethren would be really hard now as there is only my husband currently interested in prophecy around my place (and we talk a LOT)... Elgordo, thanks for posting, no need to hide in a hole yet - much love, MARANATHA! :)

So I certainly stand corrected. What a fool I've been. Can't believe I've never seen that before!?! Who would have known that God operates in American Samoan time?

Sorry, couldn't help myself either! :)

      You have a good day!

PS Thx for the post Annabel - My hole's not too bad :) And some better men and women than me have been in holes! (Heb 11:38)

Annabel - I agree. If we didn't have the internet, I would have an excuse to take my wife out on more dates than normal which would be an extremely poor use of resources. The internet is effectively then helping me pay off my mortgage which is hugely prudent of me:)

ha - we are going to have some big laughs when we all get to heaven...gonna be awesome!

  9. Remember, we see the day approaching! Israel has been in their land. Their 70th anniversary is this year. Consensus is this will end the 69 weeks of years. Those final seven years of judgement will follow. Israel becomes the focus of God's purposes and the age of grace is over. We see a convergence of signs. We wait and watch with longing for the Blessed Hope - we want that crown of righteousness that the Apostle Paul tells us is ours, too! 2 Timothy 4:8.
So chin up, shoulders back, stand tall and press on!
Occupy till he comes. Be sober and alert and not living as those who do not believe, running after things. Be holy. Trust God. Read the Word. Love the brethren. Pray for our leaders and government. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Pray for persecuted Christians. Pray for laborers for the harvest. Please the Father. Praise His Name. Be thankful. And, grateful.
Remember - I will greatly rejoice in the Lord; my soul shall exalt in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation; he has covered me with the robe of righteousness Isaiah 61:10a.
We have hope - 1 Thessalonians 4:17 then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.

Things are happening every single day with the stock market, Middle East, Peace Treaty and the numbers associated with each are incredible too. I do believe President Donald Trump is the 7th King written of in Revelation. There are just too many 7s associated with him in relation to Israel. Damascus' days are numbered. Each day God sends signs/wonders/clues. I look forward to them and I truly believe we are in the Season of the Rapture. The Revelation 12 Sign has me convinced beyond a doubt. God bless all.

  11. I am an avid viewer of the site- I rarely comment but I'd like to in light of shared feelings I have with many on here lately.

It is difficult not to lose heart as we continue to watch for his return daily in the midst of the world falling deeper and deeper into darkness. The rampant evil is becoming more disturbing every day. Not sure if anyone on this site uses Rapture Ready as a platform for news articles but I do. Yesterday (and spare yourself reading it, you will do yourself a huge favor) there was a news article involving violence against a child that was so evil and horrific it shook me to the core of my being. I actually balled after I read it.

I find that it is because of evil things like this that my detachment from this world has nearly reached its peak. Not to mention that I come on here frequently just to remind myself that there are other people, like myself, who not only love the Lord but actually believe he is really coming back. Feeling a sense of belonging helps to get me through.

A couple of things to run by everyone-- someone postulated on another site (I believe) that since Elijah the prophet has not appeared before the great and terrible day of the Lord as promised in Malachi 4:5, that the rapture will not take place until this occurs. I hold to the belief that nothing needs to come before the rapture can take place but does anyone think she makes a point since Joel 2:31-- (the sun turned to darkness and the moon into blood) HAS occurred prior to the rapture?

Furthermore, something in my spirit tells me the Lord will attempt to wake up more of the church VERY SOON before the rapture. I feel like he may shake the world one last time with an event so great people will either need to accept the time we are in or willfully choose to be ignorant and stick with the world. The reason I say this is that my life got so bad a couple years ago, it literally took worst case scenario to open my spiritual eyes and get me on the right path. I feel like the Lord is so merciful- he will stop at nothing to bring as many aboard the ark as possible.

We are definitely in the days of Noah.

God's blessings upon you all. Come Lord Jesus.

    1. Hi Kelly, "the great and awesome day of the Lord" is oftentimes used as a name of the second part of the tribulation aka "the great tribulation". I could be wrong but my assumption is that both Bible verses (Malachi 4-5 and Joel 2:31) are probably for that time period (already in the tribulation) signaling the start of the great tribulation. Plus, I remember so that there will be another event when the sun goes dark and the moon turns blood and starts will fall down and "the bodies in heaven will be shaken" just before the Second Coming of Christ.

    2. Hi Kelly and Nora, I agree regarding the Day Of The Lord. That points me to the millennium - 1 day is 1000 years to the Lord so to me His Day will be that 1000 year period. Kelly we are in the same boat sister. I feel so isolated here in Calgary where it seems nobody is awake. Meanwhile I'm devouring the Word and trying to witness to as many as possible and other Christians think I'm nuts. He chooses the foolish things to confound the wise.

    3. Kelly, I read Rapture Ready too and read that article. Better that man had a millstone tied around his neck and he were dropped into the sea. It was beyond evil. God will surely deal with him and his daughter and that poor child is in Heaven.

    4. @Kelly, "I come on here frequently just to remind myself that there are other people, like myself, who not only love the Lord but actually believe he is really coming back."

Yes, you do have brothers and sisters in Christ who like you, come here for encouragement, to encourage and to live today to the glory of G-d until His return our He calls us home. May this space be an encouragement to not only us but to the Church that has yet to rise; our brothers and sisters in Christ that are yet to be born again in the days of trouble.

I'm with you all the way!

      Blessings to you,

      Pastor Rich

    5. Dear sister Kelly, I can very well relate to your feelings and motivation visiting sites like this one... THANK GOD He still keeps the internet functioning, otherwise we were locked away in caves like the prophets in Elijahs days with king Ahab... :)

As you mention Elijah, God HAS already fulfilled this prophecy by sending John the Baptist who announced the first coming of Christ. It is not literal Elijah returning but somebody "in the same spirit". John 1:21-23 Next time there will be the two witnesses of Revelation preaching " in the spirit" of Moses and Elijah.

Another note from Matthew 24:39 = people will NOT NOTICE what time we live in UNTIL it happens. What? The rapture, of course. The biggest social desaster on earth, taking away not only the adult Christians and emptying graveyards but taking millions of little babes and toddlers without a trace or bodies. We will certainly NOT see sth happening that wakes people up before (Luke 18:8 b), otherwise these days wouldn't be compared to "as in the days of Noah" i.e. people likewise ignorant of everything.

Much love and blessings, hang in there a little while, we're soon with Christ! :)

    6. Thank you all so much for your replies. I feel very humbled that you took time out of your day to respond to my post and to encourage me with your comforting words.

I appreciate everyone's input as I feel that I have a lot to learn from the more seasoned Christians. I went from one day waking up saying the word 'rapture' and having absolutely NO IDEA what it meant-- to 2 years later, trying to read every book and website on the topic. It was put on my heart to search out these matters-- I DID NOT come to them myself.

In fact, I live in a very secular, liberal area and I did not grow up going to a church that ever cared about my spirituality or my relationship with the Lord. How far I've come in my spiritual journey is truly a God-given miracle.

My spirit does tell me something BIG is coming-- perhaps, it is Our Blessed Hope. Annabel you are correct, the scripture does seem to suggest it being "just another day". So perhaps all of these people out there saying all these huge disasters are coming are predicting that which will happen once we are all out of here. I definitely agree with you. There is so much "noise" out there about what's going on. For a young Christian like me it is really hard to tune out the nonsense and focus on the scriptural.

You are all a blessing to me! Thanks again!

  12. Reading through this comments is like a breath of fresh air the way everyone talks respectfully, beautiful. How He changes us. Honestly the first thing that dawned on me after the 23rd sign, I thought well..you know maby the sign is "conception" and 9 months from the 23rd..birth? My thought was this could be a watch time. And about the fact that (having had two children myself) that a baby could be born on its own accord at around 38 weeks into the pregnancy or at 42 weeks so 4 weeks give or take....ummm...yeah kindof stuck with me....

  14. The number "23" in biblical meaning is deciphered as "death / judgement". A very appropriate number for the title of this article. http://www.ebiblefellowship.com/studies/numbers/number-twenty-three/

    From Psalms we can (inter)connect: 22=suffering / 23=death/judgement / 24=resurrection

23 But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the Lord: and be sure your sin will find you out.

    3. Archangel, yes this is amazing to search out the "23"-ers chapters or verses in the bible, imagine that there was no such arrangement before when the books were written! :)

    4. Annabel, my birthday is February 3 ! Another 2/3. And yes, it's amazing that the Scriptures were not originally arranged into chapters and verses but God's perfect will be done every time. It's His Holy Word and it is just the way He wants it to be. Glory to God in the Highest !

    5. Another one very telling in connection to the upcoming tribulation period is Leviticus 23:22 you have even both "judgement" (23) and "suffering" (22) in there. Tribulation period will be the "poor harvest season" of saints / souls to Israel and the world.

  15. Greg, could you discuss your statement that the triumphal entry occurred on March 29, 33 AD when the source you cite from K-house says it occurred on April 6, 32 AD? Typo?

  16. A thought about tribulation: is it possible that believers/those watching have already been tribulating? As our eyes see and comprehend the devastation, we grieve.

Those who are happy with the way things are going will tribulate differently.

    1. We suffer tribulation in the world as Jesus foretold in John 16:33 but this is not "THE" great tribulation of Matthew 24:21.

    2. CY & Cry. I think the majority on this site see tribulation to mean the 7-year period of tribulation that will take place after the rapture. Those who see the rapture before the 7-year period are pre-trib. There are those who see a mid-trib, pre-wrath etc.
All experience tribulation in this world because we are born with a sin nature in a sin-filled world. When we grieve for the sin and evil we see around us (and within ourselves) we are agreeing with how God sees sin.
The question I think is persecution. What is it, and so forth. I am reading 'The End of America' by Jeff Kinley. He sees different stages that ultimately lead to martyrdom. It surly is something to think about. We see the signs around us and around the world today.

  21. We had a church service that covered the topic of equality between men and women. He used The Woman at the Well to make his point. In John 4, not only does Jesus speak with a Samaritan (Jews didn’t do this), he spoke with a woman who was Samaritan. That was something men didn’t do back then.

As we unpacked the passage in one light, I read this and thought of the latest post at Unsealed. Here is what caught my attention:

John 4:39 Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.” 40 So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed two days. 41 And because of his words many more became believers.

He was with the Samaritans for 2 days (2 thousand years) so that many more became believers. The Holy Spirit has been with us for close to 2,000 years now.

    1. That's a great pin-point Dean!

The Lord is intentional about everything He has done, is doing and will do. Jesus always followed the will of the Father perfectly when He lived here on earth. So when we see stand-outs like this that cause us to ask, "Why would Jesus only stay with the Samaritans for two-days?" That means something. It is a *trigger* to get our attention and begs study. Quiet time alone with the Lord in His word in prayer. Quiet time alone with G-d in meditation to listen to what His Holy Spirit has to teach.

This is where we find buried treasure!

  22. It's sometimes fun to look at numbers in light of Gematria. For those who don't yet know what this is,

"Gematria or gimatria (Hebrew: גימטריה‎, gēmaṭriyā) is a system of assigning numerical value to a word or phrase, in the belief that words or phrases with identical numerical values bear some relation to each other, or bear some relation to the number itself as it may apply to a person's age, the calendar year, or the like."

The Hebrew language does not have numbers and assigns numeric values to letters of the alephbet. A simple Google search will reveal their values.

The number 23 is written as "כג" in Hebrew. One may wonder if this is a word? To my knowledge it is not. It is simply the numeric value, "23". But, looking at words that have the value of 23 we find this,

    WORD.....Jewish Gematria.....Simple Gematria
    ==========================================
    I am........40..........................23
Life........ 40..........................32 (the inverse of 23)

Interesting that 23 produces an equivalent value of 40 between Simple and Jewish Gematria. This is just one more pin-point to check-out when looking at date counts and numbers and is *fun* to play with.

  23. I want to share some things that had happened to me in the past year, when I first found god, my attention immediately got caught up in the September 23rd event, I was waiting over half a year for the occurrence and I came across my dads study bible which he used in prison, in it on the opening page, there were plenty of dates and events tied to them, such as my grandma’s death: August 23rd, my friends death, the day my dad made amends with my grandpa, my dads ex girlfriends birthday, her sons birthday, the day my friend got out of jail + started his 120. Dude so so so many dates that ALL happened on the 23rd, plus I found my birthday: December 31st, 1998. 12-31-98. The 23 between two 1 pillars. It’s amazing the signs.

  24. Not to mention growing up I asked my dad what his favorite number was, and he said 23 because it was my grandma’s favorite number, when I found the Bible, it showed me why it really was his favorite number.

  25. On a whim, I looked at the 23rd chapter of the 23rd book of the Bible (Isaiah), and interestingly enough it is about the fall of Tyre. Matthew Henry's Commentary says this about this short chapter:

"Tyre was the mart of the nations. She was noted for mirth and diversions; and this made her loth to consider the warnings God gave by his servants. Her merchants were princes, and lived like princes. Tyre being destroyed and laid waste, the merchants should abandon her. Flee to shift for thine own safety; but those that are uneasy in one place, will be so in another; for when God's judgments pursue sinners, they will overtake them. Whence shall all this trouble come? It is a destruction from the Almighty. God designed to convince men of the vanity and uncertainty of all earthly glory. Let the ruin of Tyre warn all places and persons to take heed of pride; for he who exalts himself shall be abased. God will do it, who has all power in his hand; but the Chaldeans shall be the instruments."

    Makes you wonder.

  26. Daniel in chapter 12 was told twice his prophecy would be sealed until the end time. God tells us that He will do nothing without first revealing it through His prophets. God also tells us it is His glory to conceal a matter and mans glory to search for it. So keep up the good work all of you!

  27. My apologies if someone else mentioned this already. I just wondered if anyone has looked at the 364 day year of Enoch instead of 360 or 365.25?
