The Mirage

I've hinted on several occasions that I intended to write something about the fact that many good people are looking to Donald Trump to be the savior of America. About how they believe he has been chosen by God to save this country and return it to the position of strength and global leadership it held up until a few years ago (during Trump's first term, to be precise). About how they believe the dark, sinister forces of the Deep State are going to be rooted out and held accountable for their crimes against our country, with good ol' President Donald J. leading the charge.

Leading the charge, that is, after he is gloriously triumphant in the 2024 presidential election and soundly defeats the drooling dolt that has been illegitimately occupying the White House since January 2021—or what is far more likely, whatever left-wing liberal decoy the Deep State decides to replace him with at some strategic point between now and November.

I've also been quite clear on many occasions in the past that I fundamentally support Trump, and genuinely respect him for what he actually accomplished during his first term as president. Sadly, these accomplishments have been scrubbed from the country's collective memory by the liberal left and the mainstream media, never to be brought up or acknowledged again.

So with this topic in mind, I started doing some reading about the movement known as ReAwaken America, a movement whose goal is to save America from the liberal left that is intent on tearing it down and that has adopted Donald Trump as its presumptive leader.

Or perhaps I should say "savior."

Besides getting Trump back in the White House, they intend to install more Christian leaders in various positions who will help turn America into the Christian nation they believe God intended for it to be.

But the Holy Spirit did something unexpected while I was chugging along with that topic: Out of the blue, He put a bug in my spirit about issues pertaining to children, such as the horrors of abortion, sexual grooming, etc. So for a brief period of time I was a bit conflicted, and I just prayed that God would help me sort things out and latch onto the topic He wanted me to deal with:

Me: "OK, Lord, so what's it gonna be? Trump or abortion? These are very different topics...so which one do you want me to write about?"

Holy Spirit: "Both—they're related."

And I didn't have to waste any time being nonplussed because the Holy Spirit didn't waste any time showing me how they are related. And when He did, it was the old "jaw drops, hits floor" routine. In a flash, the Holy Spirit showed me something that had never occurred to me before, and I'd be willing to bet that it has never occurred to legions of good people who are looking for Trump to save America, either.

I'll get us there, I promise.

A Big Idea with a big name

They manage to stay out of the limelight to a certain degree, but over the last several years Donald Trump has been surrounded by a number of people who seem to be...well, grooming him, for lack of a better word. They stroke his ego and come to him with prophecies about how God has told them he is ordained to win the 2024 election; about how God has chosen him to save America; about how he will—with God's help, of course—wipe the floor with the Deep State and get this mighty Christian nation back on track just the way God always intended for it to be. And then they bind and rebuke the demonic forces who they claim would have it otherwise.

To be honest, I hadn't been paying much attention to these people, because I am convinced that such people (a) do not speak for God, (b) have their eschatology upside-down and backwards, and that (c) only a biblically semiliterate narcissist would take them and what they are dishing out seriously. But that's just the problem.

Donald Trump—God bless his red, white, and blue heart—is precisely that: a biblically semiliterate narcissist.

As such, he is the type that is instinctively amenable to being worshiped, so all this suits him just fine and dandy. I don't see any other polite way to spin it. Like I said, yes, I admire and respect him for his unwavering support for Israel and for what he accomplished as president. But even though I am generally supportive of Trump, I also happen to possess the God-given ability to call a spade a spade.

To the surprise of no one, Trump is eating it up and playing it to the hilt. Like I said, I hadn't really been following this all that closely, but I have come across a few rather unsettling things on the Internet in the last year or two in regard to the burgeoning worship of Donald Trump. For example, just this past January Trump's campaign team released a hammy, Paul Harvey-esque video entitled "God Made Trump," and it unabashedly hails Trump as a messianic figure sent by God to save America. I've also seen a few articles like this one that appeared in the Gateway Pundit in February of this year. Then it was...the MAGA Bible. I believe the words I'm looking for are:

"Don't get me started."

It's things like these that began to drive home with clarity what I was beginning to sense in my spirit:

What is happening in certain circles around Trump is not of God, all the appearances, staging, and prophetic utterances notwithstanding.

The prophetic hullabaloo surrounding Trump actually got started before Trump was elected the first time, but it got ramped up to a whole new level after Trump's fraudulent loss in the 2020 election, with numerous self-appointed prophets prophesying all sorts of bizarre, improbable ways in which Trump would root out the fraud, claim his rightfully won second term, actually take office, and toss Biden and his Deep State cohorts in the slammer:

"Trump's gonna serve his rightfully won second term! The bad guys will fall and fail and the good guys will rise and prevail, thus saith the LORD!"

When these prophecies sputtered and failed, some of these people claimed they must have "misheard" God. Some remained adamant that their prophecies were correct and persisted in concocting ever more imaginative ways for them to continue to be viewed as being true. And to their credit, some of these false prophets expressed contrition. Yes, you heard me right.

One or the other: I've written about this before, but nothing has changed since Old Testament times. Anyone who claims to speak for God and gives prophecies he claims are from God can only be one of two things:

1. A true prophet of God, to whom God has entrusted His message for the people and whose every single word is fulfilled with 100 percent accuracy.

2. A false prophet who typically tells people what they want to hear.

I'm not trying to be mean, but there simply is no third choice—it's one or the other. End of story. God has always had one absolute standard in regard to prophets. They may be really nice people and have a really cool website and all that, but all you have to do to know that these people do not speak for God is to study what God's Word says will occur in regard to the end-time scenario and then bounce that off what they are saying. Hint: Things don't mesh. Most of what you hear from these people satisfies our natural, fleshly desire to see our worldly ship righted and life get back to normal.

Note there is also the controversial issue of whether God still sends us prophets today at all. In my scriptural opinion, I think not. Why? Well, besides Scripture that I am personally convinced should be so interpreted, consider: God gave us His revealed, written Word so we could know everything He has ordained for us to know about His plans, including events in the end times—and that's actually more than most of us will ever absorb in a lifetime. There's just one rub: You have to study it and rightly divide it. But it's s-o-o much easier to just sit back and listen to somebody tickle our ears with things we so desperately want to hear, isn't it? And if they're off on a few things (or only seem to predict things that are vague and open to interpretation or are conveniently nonfalsifiable), well...we sure don't want to be judgmental or anything, now do we?

I'm not going to devote a lot of time and space to diving into the details of who some of these people are, because their overall message is similar. However, here are several names you're liable to run across:

• Roger Stone was convicted of lying to Congress during the phony Robert Mueller "Russian collusion" investigation, but Trump commuted his sentence in July 2020. He has been a regular part of the ReAwaken America road show.

Russell Vought served as the director of the Office of Management and Budget during Trump's first term, and has remained within whispering distance of Trump's ear. Vought is head of a think tank called the Center for Renewing America, which is devoted to the idea of infusing Christian nationalism into Trump's administration should he be elected to a second term in 2024.

Michael Flynn was Trump's National Security Advisor, and has been involved in recruiting an "Army of God" as he barnstorms around the country, promoting his vision of placing Christianity at the forefront of American life.

Paula White is a controversial televangelist associated with the prosperity gospel, and has been credited with leading Trump to Christ in 2016. She is recognized as Trump's spiritual advisor.

And others. It should also be noted that a good number of members of Congress and other members of the American political arena are also supportive of the general philosophy of the ReAwaken America movement, including the likes of...

Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA, and current Speaker of the House)

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA)

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO)

Newt Gingrich (former Republican Speaker of the House)

Mike Huckabee (former Republican Governor of Arkansas)

Sarah Palin (former Republican Governor of Alaska)

Rick Perry (former Republican Governor of Texas)

Michele Bachman (former Republican Representative from Minnesota)

I could add more, but I'm only going for broad strokes here.

These are just a handful of the better-known people who support a good portion of the spectrum of efforts to get Christians to unite behind Trump so he can be ushered back into the White House in 2024 and save America from the left-wing liberal bad guys. And such people are typically under the sway of one of several related species of eschatological doctrines. These doctrines go by different names and are often closely related, but typically have at least a few distinctive characteristics.

One of these is Reconstructionism. This teaching holds that society should be "reconstructed" under the lordship of Jesus Christ in all aspects of life. It teaches that certain biblical laws should be reinstated, such as the death penalty for homosexual behavior, adultery, witchcraft, and blasphemy. Reconstructionists are typically cessationists (i.e. the supernatural sign gifts of the Holy Spirit—particularly speaking in tongues—ceased after the original apostles passed from the scene).

Another species in this genus is Kingdom Now theology, which teaches that although Satan has had control over the world since the Fall, God is looking for people who will help Him regain that dominion (as if what Christ accomplished on the cross didn't quite do the trick). They have among their ranks what they call "apostles" and "prophets," and those who yield themselves to the authority of such individuals will ultimately take control of the "kingdoms" of the world, or major spheres of activity. These are referred to as the Seven Mountains, and include government, education, media, arts and entertainment, religion, family, and business. Those who adhere to Kingdom Now theology are typically continuationists, who hold that the supernatural sign gifts of the Holy Spirit that were in full operation in the first century continue to the present day. That is, most are Pentecostal/Charismatic.

A slightly broader species is known as Dominionism, which is a bundle of Christian political ideologies that seek to create a nation governed by Christians and that is based on biblical law. Beyond that, however, it splinters into a multitude of subspecies.

I could list a few more, but there's really no need because the key point that I want to root out of all this is the fact that these various species of end-time theology typically share one fundamental, overriding belief—one Big Idea. And that Big Idea has a big name:

Postmillennialism.

Like many major veins of theology, there are countless variations. But the basic idea behind postmillennialism is quite simple:

Christ doesn't return to earth

until after the Millennium.

In postmillennial doctrine, the Church is responsible for establishing Christ's kingdom for Him. And when we've finally gone out and gotten things up to scratch by the end of this millennial period (which we are in now, by the way), Jesus can return and we will present Him with the shiny Christian world we have created—a world with Christians dominating every major aspect of society (as in the Seven Mountain thing)—and hand it over to Him to rule.

This is essentially the opposite of premillennialism, which teaches that rather than Christ returning to rule His kingdom at the end of the Millennium, He returns to establish His kingdom Himself and in so doing personally inaugurates the Millennial Kingdom. Not only that, but premillennialism has Christ returning to a world wracked by horrifying tribulation such as the world has never seen (Matt. 24:1–31)—not a shiny Christianized world that the Church has produced through its own efforts.

So people who are looking to Trump as a messianic figure who has been sent by God to save America and who seek to rally around him to lead America and the world toward the goal of becoming a Christianized utopia that Christ would be plumb proud to return to rule—whether they understand the scriptural implications or not—are espousing the doctrine of postmillennialism. As a result, they are liable to be the type of people who roll their eyes at the mention of such laughably far-fetched teachings such as a coming seven-year Tribulation, or the secret snatching away of the Church that precedes it.

What's so secret about that? I never could figure out what's so secret about several hundred million people suddenly disappearing. I mean, everybody's gonna know they disappeared—it'll be pretty obvious. So what's the big secret? Over the years, however, I have learned one bitter lesson from experience: As soon as you hear someone use the word "secret" to describe the Rapture, quietly gather up your things and head for the exit—and resolve to never return. Why? Because I guarantee you that you're listening to someone who is about to regale you with fanciful tales about how the Rapture is a lie of Satan that was crafted by a scalawag named John Nelson Darby in the early nineteenth century based on the lunatic ramblings of a deluded Scottish girl named Margaret MacDonald. So clearly, only those who sport tinfoil hats are silly enough to fall for it and as result will be woefully unprepared to stand up to the onslaught of the Antichrist. By describing it as "secret," they strive to make the Rapture sound scurrilously unscriptural. Which it isn't.

And I guarantee you that when the Rapture does occur, in a matter of moments there will be many people who know three things for certain:

1. What happened.

2. Why it didn't happen to them.

3. What they need to do to fix it.

And they will be on their knees doing precisely that as the greatest revival and harvest of souls for the kingdom in the history of the world gets underway before any of the 144,000 even hear the news about what just happened.

I admit that postmillennialism has to be given credit for one thing, though:

It is certainly the most optimistic of

any major body of end-time theology.

I mean, you gotta hand it to 'em: The world is gonna keep getting better and better, and the Church is gonna keep getting stronger and stronger and is gonna get out there and take over the Seven Mountains of society and realize the dream of turning this sin-sick world into a glowing Christian utopia that Christ will return to rule with justifiable pride and satisfaction in what we have accomplished...in His name, of course. Hey, go ahead and say it:

"Well, that totally rocks!"

Yeah...it does! Sort of. This is why postmillennialists are sometimes teasingly referred to as "optimillennialists." Just imagine how proud we will be as we see our efforts to draw the world toward God begin to change things for the better! Just imagine how proud we will be of our efforts to transform this cesspool of sin into a glowing, Christian world suitable for Him to come and rule!

Just imagine...

This is the image that postmillennialism imparts to its followers, and it is indeed appealing in many ways. Of course, there's just one problem:

This is not an accurate description of what is coming.

Not even close. This bears precious little resemblance to what the Bible clearly lays out in terms of future prophetic fulfillment. Just like someone trekking through the desert and desperately in need of water, they genuinely believe they have spotted a cool, refreshing lake in the distance. But before their eyes is a false image that they only imagine is real—but it isn't real:

It is a mirage.

I am going to refrain from launching into a deep, detailed discussion of the errors of postmillennialism, mainly because such an in-depth discussion is beyond the scope of this article—that's a topic for another day, should the Holy Spirit ever lead me in that direction.

But I would be remiss if I didn't at least take a few minutes to point out a couple of the big, obvious reasons why postmillennialism causes some gnarly interpretational problems.

For starters, understand that postmillennialism is foundational to Roman Catholicism, and comes prepackaged with replacement theology as a bonus—they need it to make all the pieces fit. This teaching that the Church has replaced Israel is one of the most damaging errors out there, and I seldom miss a chance to rip a chunk out its hide (sort of like what I do here and here).

Postmillennialism teaches that the world is getting better and better, and as a result it almost died out after the outbreak of World War I. The tumultuous events of the early twentieth century nearly snuffed it out, since two World Wars in a little over three decades made it rather difficult to view the progress of man and society as being inevitable.

One common feature of virtually all flavors of postmillennialism is the idea of viewing the events of Revelation 19–20 as occurring between the two advents of Christ. In other words, the 1,000-year period mentioned several times throughout chapter 20—during which Satan is bound (Rev. 20:2)—is simply a long period of time that comes before the Second Coming.

In other words, it's part of the Church Age.

But there are numerous problems with this, and allow me to point out one fairly  obvious one. This means that Satan is supposed to be bound right now. Well, if that's the case, then I'm afraid his chain is w-a-y too long. Not to mention the fact that this flatly contradicts Peter's observation concerning Satan's activities during the current Age of Grace:

8Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour:

(1 Peter 5:8 AKJV)

Present tense...Church Age...now. Well, which is it? Is Satan bound, or is he out there seeking whom he may devour? Call me crazy, but if you've lived on this planet for more than 10 minutes and managed to keep your eyes open for most of that time, you have no choice: You've gotta go with the latter.

Or maybe we have to do a little of what postmillennialists do on a regular basis and interpret things allegorically instead of literally.

Ah, yes...allegorizing Scripture:

the super glue of all doctrinal error.

And postmillennialism is certainly no exception. Another problem is that postmillennialism forces events out of their logical order in Revelation 19 and 20. For example, a plain text reading reveals Christ returning as the Rider on the White Horse to unleash final judgment on the world (Rev. 19:11–16). This is obviously the Second Coming, and we are coming with Him (v. 14). Then He turns His attention to the Antichrist and the False Prophet and throws them into the lake of fire (Rev. 19:17–21). Then in Revelation 20:1–3, we learn Satan is bound for a thousand years (i.e. during the Millennial Kingdom).

*     *     *     *     *

One thing many people never consider is the answer to the following question:

Why is Satan bound during the Millennial Kingdom?

I've discussed this before, but it's important to understand the reason Satan will be bound for that 1,000 years. Although initially everyone in the kingdom will be a believer, some of them will be natural-bodied survivors of the Tribulation (i.e. the sheep from the Sheep and Goat Judgment, also the Jewish remnant). These natural-bodied people will have natural-bodied children, all of whom will have a sin nature just like all other natural-bodied people. And when they come of age, they will have to respond to the message of the gospel and trust Christ for their salvation, just as natural-bodied people do today.

But here's the thing: Some will, and some won't. Now, many people today reject the message of the gospel, partly because Satan blinds men's minds to the truth of that gospel. He always has. But with Satan bound during the Millennial Kingdom, some people will still reject the gospel...enough to join Satan's last rebellion against God at the end of the Millennial Kingdom (Rev. 20:7–10). Why? Because of the scourge of sin that still dwells in them.

Consider: They will be living in a world that is free of Satan's influence and under the direct rule of Christ Himself. God will use the Millennial Kingdom to demonstrate to us the power and effects of sin, and the fact that it is our sin and that alone that separates us from Him, not Satan. Some will reject the gospel during the Millennial Kingdom simply because they will succumb to the power of the sin that dwells within them. They will refuse to believe the gospel in faith simply because they have a sin nature and free will. Can't blame Satan—he'll be nowhere around. This last dispensation of the Millennial Kingdom will serve as God's final object lesson to humanity on the horrible, soul-damning effects of sin and the rejection of His grace and mercy.

*     *     *     *     *

OK...so far, so good. But if all this occurs before the Second Coming, it's a real struggle to make any sense of things. You've got to juggle this lineup of events out of the order in which they are presented in Scripture, because now nothing fits. Now you have to get really creative to fit things together.

And you'll probably have to...you know, allegorize some more Scripture.

Works every time.

So postmillennialism takes the Bible's clear teaching about (a) the Rapture, (b) the subsequent Tribulation with the gathering and protection of the Jewish remnant during the judgment of the nations of the world, and (c) the return of Christ to the earth after the Tribulation to establish His kingdom and wads it up into a ball and unceremoniously tosses it into the nearest trash can.

In its place, it gives us an unscriptural mirage to look forward to—a glowing, Christian utopia that the Church should be actively working to create through its own worldly, political efforts that Christ will return to rule some fine day.

But there is another reason why this glowing image is a mirage, and it is related to the heartbreaking scourge of abortion, plus the wicked, thinly veiled efforts of the LGBT community.

Alphabet soup: You are welcome to call them whatever you please, but personally I am sick of the LGBT community tacking one new letter or symbol  after another onto "LGBT" and arrogantly expecting the world to eagerly and obediently go along with it lest they be branded as homophobic bigots. They only get the basic four letters from me, and literally the only reason I don't give them fewer is because it would cause confusion.

LGBTQQIAAP+G0DM4D3M3TH!SW4Y+1FUR4SWMN0L3TR4U%2B4D

(As if they weren't confused enough already.) I'm talking about the growing wave of satanic grooming of innocent children intended to lure them into orbit around Planet LGBT with its noxious atmosphere.

One from column A or one from column B?

Since we are turning our attention to babies and children, the first thing I want to address is a question that the world wants very much to tinker with and obfuscate in order to pursue its evil, politically correct intentions. While it strikes some as simple and straightforward, it confounds others:

At what point during a pregnancy does

an unborn baby become a living person?

To hear some people today, you'd think a baby wasn't a living person until it ate its first bowl of Cap'n Crunch. For the majority of Bible-believing Christians, the traditional answer to this has always been a no-brainer:

Life begins at conception.

Period. But today there are many who push arguments to the contrary, and even those who twist Scripture to back up those arguments.

Be still my beating heart: As I was doing some reading for this article, I came across something that I never knew before, and I admit it surprised me:

The first pulsing of an embryo's heart can be

detected with ultrasound at about five weeks.

I'm guessing many of you probably knew that, but it just blew me away.

But stages of development notwithstanding, let's take a look at what God's Word has to say about this—that's all we need.

First, let's go to a well-known passage from Psalms:

13For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb.

14I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well.

15My frame wasn't hidden from you, when I was made in secret, woven together in the depths of the earth.

16Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them.

(Psalm 139:13–16)

Note that in verse 13 the psalmist David clearly acknowledges that God creates life in the womb. Also, all the days of our lives are known and ordained by God before any of them come to pass (v. 16). Last time I checked, a lifeless clump of tissue doesn't have any "days of its life" to be known.

In another psalm, David also clearly expresses the incontrovertible fact that we are born with a sin nature:

5Behold, I was born in iniquity. My mother conceived me in sin.

(Psalm 51:5)

In other words, David is basically saying that he was a sinner when he was conceived, as was his mother. The doctrine of original sin holds that we have a sin nature from the very beginning of our lives, and this verse states point blank that this is the moment of conception. Again, only living persons can possess a sin nature—lifeless clumps of tissue cannot. So what people sometimes overlook in this verse is the fact that it is clearly telling us that a child is considered a living person at the moment of conception.

Not only that, but there are several passages of Scripture that clearly refer to and regard unborn babies as people. For example, both Jesus and John the Baptist are referred to as "babies" while they are still in the womb (Luke 1:41–44 and Luke 2:12, 16, respectively). In both cases, the Holy Spirit uses the same Greek word brephos that can refer to either an unborn or a newborn baby. In other words, Scripture makes no distinction here whether or not the baby in question has actually exited the mother's womb yet.

Another example is the announcement of Samson's birth, when the angel of the LORD said to Samson's mother:

7...Behold, you shall conceive, and bear a son; and now drink no wine nor strong drink, neither eat any unclean thing: for the child [Hebrew: a form of naar (boy, lad, youth)] shall be a Nazarite to God from the womb [i.e. from his conception] to the day of his death.

(Judges 13:7b AKJV / emphasis &
[comments] added)

So God speaks of Samson before his birth as a boy or a lad. Not only that, but a lifeless clump of tissue cannot rightly be considered a "Nazarite to God."

Isaiah 49:1, Jeremiah 1:5, and Job 10:8–9 all describe similar instances in which God clearly considers a person as being known to Him in some way while they are still in the womb (as well as prior to the womb).

So the Bible is about as clear as it can be:

In the eyes of God, life begins at conception.

So if it's OK with you, I'm gonna go with what He says. So you can put away all the "My body, my choice!" posters and all the "Abortion is healthcare!" T-shirts, because God has given us His exceedingly clear input on the subject:

Abortion is the murder of an innocent child.

My, what a nice round number: Just out of curiosity, I did a little research and tried to make the best estimate I could on the number of legal abortions that have been performed in America since Roe v. Wade was passed in 1973, and I discovered something that you might say caught my attention. According to the best statistics I could track down, it very much appears that the number of abortions performed in America will hit the 70,000,000 mark sometime before the end of the current year of 2024. Huh...seven followed by seven zeroes. Just thought I'd toss that in—I'm sure it's just a coincidence.

The killing of innocent babies certainly isn't new to mankind, however. Numerous civilizations and people groups have practiced child sacrifice over the millennia, with a few mentioned in the Old Testament.

Child sacrifice was a fairly common practice among many of the idolatrous people groups that inhabited the Promised Land when the Israelites entered it after 40 years of wandering through the Arabian Peninsula. God made it clear to His people that there are few sins He despises more than the killing of innocent children, and He commanded them not to imitate the horrific practices of these idol-worshiping peoples:

1And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 2Again, you shall say to the children of Israel, Whoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that gives any of his seed to Molech [i.e. offers the child as a human sacrifice]; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones. 3And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he has given of his seed to Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name. 4And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he gives of his seed to Molech, and kill him not: 5Then I will set my face against that man [note that God's judgment in such matters can be personal as well as national], and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit prostitution with Molech, from among their people.

(Leviticus 20:1–5 AKJV / emphasis &
[comments] added)

Three of the better-known people groups that were involved in the worship of pagan gods—worship that entailed the sacrificing of innocent children—are the Canaanites, the Moabites, and the Ammonites:

The Canaanites primarily worshiped Baal, but also worshiped other pagan deities—and their worship typically involved child sacrifice. God judged them by having them destroyed at the hands of Joshua (Josh. 10–11).

The Moabites worshiped Chemosh (although there is archaeological evidence that Chemosh may have been the same deity as Molech), and their worship also involved child sacrifice. God dropped judgment on them by having them defeated (at least in the region of Judah) by King Josiah (2 Kings 23).

The Ammonites also worshiped Molech/Chemosh, and again their worship involved child sacrifice. God judged the Ammonites by having King Saul defeat them (1 Sam. 11), although they later regained a certain degree of strength until God arranged for them to be destroyed by the Babylonians under King Nebuchadnezzar in the seventh century BC.

Sadly, in spite of God's clear admonitions to the contrary, Israel wasn't immune to the influence of these idolatrous peoples. Even David's son Solomon, later in his life, was lured into the worship of many of these same idols by his literally hundreds of pagan wives. To be fair, however, Scripture doesn't actually mention anything about Solomon sacrificing any children in the course of such worship, which presumably would have been noted if it had occurred.

Of course, no one can rule out the possibility that child sacrifice occurred with Solomon's knowledge and under his auspices, and Scripture does stress that the LORD was angry with Solomon for turning away from His command to shun the worship of false gods (1 Kings 11:9–13).

Unfortunately the same cannot be said for two other kings of Israel: King Manasseh (2 Kings 21:6) and King Ahaz (2 Chron. 28:3) both sacrificed their own sons to pagan deities.

So, Israel joined the ranks of the Canaanites, the Moabites, the Ammonites, and a host of other pagan peoples in the abominable practice of child sacrifice. And God judged those people groups—so did He judge Israel in like manner?

Let's ask the prophet Jeremiah:

26Then came the word of the LORD to Jeremiah, saying, 27Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? 28Therefore thus said the LORD; Behold, I will give this city [Jerusalem] into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it: 29And the Chaldeans, that fight against this city, shall come and set fire on this city, and burn it with the houses, on whose roofs they have offered incense to Baal, and poured out drink offerings to other gods, to provoke me to anger. 30For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have only done evil before me from their youth: for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, said the LORD. 31For this city has been to me as a provocation of my anger and of my fury from the day that they built it even to this day; that I should remove it from before my face, 32Because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 33And they have turned to me the back, and not the face: though I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not listened to receive instruction. 34But they set their abominations in the house, which is called by my name, to defile it. 35And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech [there's your child sacrifice]; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.

[comments] added)

This was part of the reason God allowed King Nebuchadnezzar to destroy Jerusalem along with the temple and take the Jewish people into captivity in Babylon for 70 years in the sixth century BC.

So, here's what we've got:

The Canaanites were guilty of killing innocent children.

The result? God brought judgment upon them.

The Moabites were guilty of killing innocent children.

The result? God brought judgment upon them.

The Ammonites were guilty of killing innocent children.

The result? God brought judgment upon them.

The Israelites were guilty of killing innocent children.

The result? God brought judgment upon them.

Fast forward to today. As I said, in 2024 America will perform its 70,000,000th legalized abortion. So, I think we can add America to the list, and it's the old "One from column A or one from column B?" routine:

America is guilty of killing innocent children.

The result? A. God will bring judgment upon us.

— OR —

B. If we can get Trump back in the White House, he'll save

America and we'll Christianize the whole world...and so

we're pretty sure God will let that abortion thing slide.

At least according to people looking for Trump to save America and for us to reach that postmillennial mirage they see shimmering in the distance.

Better that a millstone...

As for America, we can add one additional item to the killing of children via abortion: their moral perversion and bodily mutilation at the hands of woke teachers, politically correct school boards and administrators, and medical professionals with their nauseating euphemism of "gender affirming care." But think for a moment:

Do you suppose God has a more tolerant, more mollified view of that than His stated view of the killing of children in the womb?

Just asking, because I don't. Yes, times have changed. Yes, the world has changed. But we would do well to remember that there are things that will never change, and chief among them would be...

A holy God and His written Word.

Not to mention His view of the harm or corruption of innocents:

1In that hour the disciples came to Jesus, saying, "Who then is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?" 2Jesus called a little child to himself, and set him in the middle of them 3and said, "Most certainly I tell you, unless you turn and become as little children, you will in no way enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. 4Whoever therefore humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. 5Whoever receives one such little child in my name receives me, 6but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble [Greek: a form of skandalizó, or to set a snare or a trap for someone], it would be better for him if a huge millstone were hung around his neck and that he were sunk in the depths of the sea."

(Matthew 18:1–6 / emphasis &
[comments] added)

Many see this as Jesus speaking strictly of adult believers who are innocent and humble in spirit. I understand the argument, but I am inclined to believe this principle can be extended to include innocent young people who are at least old enough to believe there really is a God and that He loves them very much.

Tell me again: So tell me again how America will escape God's judgment for killing 70,000,000 innocent babies and leading countless young children into the cesspool of sexual confusion and perversion. Regale me once more with tales of how Donald Trump will get back in the White House and save America and make it great again, and get it back on course. Refresh my memory about how America will grow into an exemplary Christian nation in an exemplary Christian world that Christ will be delighted to return to rule.

And while you're at it, remind me one more time how perplexed you are that the only mention of America in the end-time scenario is as a lion's cub, whimpering helplessly on the sidelines about those nasty old Gog-Magog bullies coming to wipe out and take a spoil from Israel (Ezek. 38:13).

That's no mirage

Forgive me for ending on a harsh note, because I generally try to cap things off with something positive—something I hope will leave a smile on the face of readers. But before I close this out, let me make a couple of things clear:

I voted for Trump in 2016. I voted for Trump in 2020 (although I suspect the 150 dead people who live at my address of record in Washington voted for Biden). And I will vote for Trump in 2024, for all the good it will do. Believe me, I would love to see Trump get re-elected and actually do the things he is talking about doing. Nothing would satisfy my flesh more.

Earlier I said Trump is a narcissist...and that's not just me throwing big words around: It is the professional opinion of every psychiatrist I have read, irrespective of their political persuasion. He just is—so be it. But no matter what anyone says, I know two things about Donald Trump that are not open to question or dispute:

1. He loves America.

2. He strongly supports Israel.

For those two simple reasons he has my vote, regardless of his various flaws and imperfections (and as if we had someone better to vote for).

The thrust of this article is simply that the idea of turning things around at this point and booting out the bad guys, saving America, and getting things back on track just doesn't square with the clear direction of end-time prophecy that America is most certainly a part of. We are racing toward the fulfillment of prophecy that has not just America, but the nations of the world falling under God's hammer of judgment during the Tribulation for their rejection of the grace and mercy He expressed to the world through Christ and for their persecution of His people Israel.

And I can give you 70,000,000 reasons why God isn't going to cut America a special break from that judgment.

My fear is that many good people who are looking to Trump to save America and turn things around are going to feel crushed and hopeless when that doesn't happen...and I believe based on Scripture that it will not. I believe the Word tells us God has other plans, and the next event on His schedule is the Rapture. So there is no reason whatsoever for any of us to feel crushed and hopeless no matter what happens, because the blessed hope of the Rapture is what we should be focused on—not the promises of any politician. That blessed hope should positively dwarf any grand, far-reaching plans of any political leader, no matter how much our flesh would like to see those plans come to fruition.

My friends, it is so late in the game that we need to focus on what God says in His Word, and not what various conservative, right-wing pundits say...may God bless their patriotic, well-intentioned hearts. Both America and the world are clearly on track for a richly deserved outpouring of God's judgment—and this is what the Holy Spirit wanted me to see:

God is not going to simply give America a free pass for 70,000,000 murdered babies, not to mention legions of innocent young children being lured into a perverted sexual ethos.

Scripture makes it crystal clear: The sanctioned, widespread killing of innocent children is a sin that God invariably judges nations for, and that means we have thrown 70,000,000 monkey wrenches into the postmillennial mirage of a Christianized America that will lead other nations to a Christianized utopia that Christ would be happy to return to rule. I'm sorry, but the plain text of Scripture makes that all but impossible to believe.

Oh, but it's been overturned: As you are no doubt aware, Roe v. Wade was overturned in June 2022. But don't naively assume that ended abortion—it didn't. It merely gave it back to the states to decide on a state-by-state basis. To date, only 14 states have implemented a total ban. The other 36 states have made abortion legal with varying restrictions, with the restrictions in all but 7 of those 36 states being minimal. (Sigh...) I applaud the move, but somehow I don't see this as something that's going to stay God's hand in judgment.

And just to add the proverbial cherry on top, now America's support for God's people Israel is rapidly waning and is at the breaking point. See Genesis 12:3 (which is still in the Bible) for details.

So I say this with scriptural certainty: Unlike the illusory Christianized America that many good, sincere, well-meaning people of the postmillennial persuasion imagine that the Church can attain through its own efforts...

That judgment is no mirage.

It's coming. So be advised: God's Word makes it pretty clear—no one is going to "make America great again" until Christ returns to make the entire world great again, as only He can. And as only He will.

That's no mirage, either.

And when He returns, He'll have us in tow and we will rule and reign with Him in that new world during the Millennial Kingdom. And it's drawing near.

Not sure about you, but that thought sure leaves a smile on my face.

  1. Oh my goodness, what a fantastic home run with this article Greg. So very well done on multiple issues. Like you I'm voting for Trump but for all the reasons listed but America's time is short, very short I would think. I just taught an adult Sunday School lesson last week on Isaiah 21 the destruction of Babylon and tied that to a discussion on Revelation 18 briefly. Could the USA be mystery Babylon? I'm not sure? As I read that passage in Revelation it sure sounds like the USA. In the Isaaih 21 passage God desroys Babylon because they were invading other countries, or just meddling in their affairs and causing strife for those people. It reminded me of the fact the USA does this in other nations all the time now. (Syria, Lybia, Afghanastan, Ukraine, Iraq) So if God judged Babylon he would have to judge us as well. So you can add another reason for our eventual judgement.

    1. The one part about mystery Babylon that stopped me for the longest time ascribing it as being the US was the "blood of the saints", but then the overwhelming abortion stats were pointed out and...well, thats a nail in the coffin for me for America. In any case, I think the Rapture will happen before the election, and national judgement will strike before the 2nd Coming.

    2. Great article Greg.
I am a Canadian and have been very burdened to pray for you guys and your upcoming election. With Trumps criminal trials I don’t see that you have much choice in candidates.

As I read your article, this verse came to mind.

“When the wicked are in authority, sin flourishes, but the godly will live to see their downfall.” Proverbs‬ ‭29:16‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  2. Great article Greg.
I wrote a blog recently about the "new bible" that Trump is peddling. So disgusting.

    @Sherrill777

In my humble opinion, the National Judgement of the USA is not tied to Revelation 18's "Mystery" Babylon, but to Jeremiah 50 & 51's "Daughter of Babylon". These are not the same entities, and the destruction listed by detail in these 2 chapters never happened this way to the historical Babylon.

Further, Jeremiah indicates by choosing the wording in verse 12 that she will be the least of the nations, and the one who bore her will be ashamed of her. The word "least" there is not about a level of importance as we understand least in English, but [H319 acharith] in Hebrew and means (end, descendant, future, last). IE Last of the Nations to come about, and at the end time.

But the nail in the coffin is verse 42 where she is Literally called "Daughter of Babylon", implying a descendant or a type of the first.

And her destruction is equated with Sodom and Gomorrah in verse 39 and 40, as no one will ever inhabit it again. That did not happen to Historical Babylon.

Two particular verses (Jeremiah 50:31-32) have given me a suspicion that Trump will be re-elected, only to be set up in his arrogance and face the destruction of America all around him. And the way of destruction of this nation also is implied as to the concern of no longer being inhabited.

Specifically, you hear God through Jeremiah say that "He will kindle a fire (set fire, desolate) in his (arrogant one's) cities." Two things here:

    - Cities implies a Nation, not a single city on 7 hills for example. I believe the 7 hills relate to the future false religion somehow and may even refer to the 7 Mountain Mandate from a few years ago.
Jeremiah 50&51 describe a Nation in great detail that has very few corresponding entities in our time but the USA at the top of a very small list.

    - This language about "Kindling a fire in..." appears only once elsewhere, and it was in the previous chapter of (Jeremiah 49:27) in relation to the Wall of Damascus and how it "Consumes" the nearby citadel/palace of Benhadad (Son of Hadad) which I believe is Assad in our time and in this prophecy.
In the same way and with the reference to Sodom and Gomorrah's destruction, I believe this Kindled fire to be some sort of nuclear thing, that renders both Damascus and this Nation's cities as desolate and uninhabitable.

Prayers for Israel and her people.

Keep the word, and don't deny His name. Endure patiently.

  3. I didn't read your article except for the first few paragraphs, but it irks me to hear about people who say that people think Trump is the savior and will deliver America from evil. (I will read the rest when I have some time)
What I do hear among my believing friends are one of two things: They aren't involved with the political process at all, which is an abysmal thing, that Christians don't vote. Then there are my friends who are very aware of the politicla process and will vote for Trump because he is the best we have, infinitely better than a democrat. The most Trump will do, and did, is slow down our descent into Sodom, so the gospel can be preached for perhaps a few more years at best. I have never met a "Christian Nationalist". Another straw man that doesn't exist, these people who think Trump will save the world. Silly.

  4. Well, since no one has written a comment after my first above, and I finally read the whole article, I have to say, well done. You have clarified and filled in some gaps in my thinking, and you reinforced what I too believe is happening today. No way will we be saved out of this cesspool that we live in. Judgement is coming, probably in the days right after the rapture. May it be very soon, as it appears to be. MARANATHA!!!!

  5. Well, I have felt for some time that Trump is controlled opposition. It was ONLY because he was in office that the US didn't revolt during quarantine. That man fast tracked an experimental vaccine that was then made mandatory by his military. He called over half the country non essential. If it had been Clinton, we would have refused to comply. The news was lying to us. It was a huge con. Perhaps no one here follows Q, but my nutty sister does and she said "trust the plan". There was a "prophet" who said Trump would be reelected and she believed that he would have the election overturned. She is deeply destabilized by the psy op that is Q.

I think our country is beyond being turned around. I think that when we look at history through the eyes of all people groups involved, that they were no "good old days" for everyone. We have selective memory.

I don't believe that we will ever again have a fair election. Trump could have fixed the Leftist schools and the voting process on his watch but he did nothing. And now that he admitted he is pro-abortion, that's the biggest bait and switch.

In the end, the US had a purpose for existing and now that has shifted. God might be about to step into the clouds and initiate the end, and He doesn't need us competing for being the champion. Whatever He wants, He gets. That's what sovereignty means to me.

  6. I have only gotten through part of this article which is very good so far. A couple of things I wanted to say thus far though.
First, I understand not believing all the people saying, "thus sayeth the Lord" ...but the Bible does say in these times people will prophesy.
    Joel 2:28
And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.
Second: I've heard Michelle Bachman and she doesn't believe Donald Trump is the answer to everything. She knows where we are in history. She just knows he's the better of two choices supposedly.

I actually don't know that I can vote for him. I don't trust him anymore then the other side! I don't see that he really is a believer (said he doesn't need forgiven for anything). I know we're supposed to vote...I guess...but I think they are all the same, just different sides of the same coin.

    1. Sorry Nan but Trump and Biden are NOT the same. Trust me I know Trump is no angel and likely not a true believer at all, but to link him with the Demonic left, well I just don't agree. And we are not voting for a Pastor in November, we are voting for someone who will stop the horrendous flood of 'only God knows' the illegal invaders who have and are invading this country. At least Trump will seek to protect the country as opposed to Biden who's desire is to bring it down to satisfy his radical left. I would have no problem voting for DJT.

    9. Mike & Nan, please know that I have no desire to be argumentative so help me understand. The NWO will decide who #47 will be, not Almighty God? Remember times in Scripture God has chosen to use nonbelievers to further His plans. (King Cyrus - Isaiah 45) Either God is Sovereign or He isn't and His ways are not our ways, His thoughts not our thoughts. I know there are certain denominations that seek to minimize God's sovereignty. I was raised in one but no longer THANKFULLY! Blessings to you both!

      Delete
    10. Of course, God is sovereign. You earlier asked who I would vote for. The simple answer is, neither. I will not vote for the "less of two evils". I will not vote for anyone that is sympathetic to LGBT, abortion, dividing Israel, as both of the 2 presumed candidates support. That is why I am comfortable leaving this election in God's hands...provided we're even still here in November.

  8. Jesus warns of deception in the last days: “What shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” Matthew 24:3-5. Clearly the Lord despises a person of unbridled Pride, lover of money (root of all evil), lover of self. an unrepentant heart, etc. Trump embodies ALL that the Lord despises which is PROOF people are now given over to deception. What does Jesus do with such people? Mth 7:23 "Depart from me, I never knew you." And further He writes letters to the 7 churches in Revelation & finds people in the "church" that thinks it is "rich " who He SPITS OUT! Rev 3:16. MANY of us choose to REJECT the false binary paradigm forcing us to vote for 1 of 2 repugnant people OR "choose" the so called "lesser of 2 evils" which is still evil. INSTEAD WE CHOOSE not to vote & write on our ballot "Come NOW Lord Jesus" which I did in 2016, 2020 & hope to be gone Home before 2024 from what is clearly depraved Babylon! Making Sodom great again is only the goal of those with the mind of Lot's wife.

The Babylon nation is so lacking in self awareness that it engaged in narcotic drug trade for over half a century creating & funding billionaire drug cartels until nations to our south became human trafficking narco states that destabilized the entire hemisphere with China & Iran taking a foothold pouring in Fentenyl to a drug loving dying nation. Our former president has made me queasy more than once and while I don't presume to know exactly what God thinks of any of His other specific children - I can't believe that He would approve of all that has been done by 45, personally or politically. 9. 2024 looks promising looking at the math per Mth 18:21 forgiveness being 70x7=490 taken in context with Daniel & the redemptive cycles of Israel. Israel crossed the Jordan in 1406 BC. If you add 3430 years to 1406 BC you get 2024! Then when you divide 3430 years by 7 you get 490 years! JESUS 2024!

    2. @Pastor Rich check out the 2024 Trumpets rapture data I just added in the comments on this post: Part 1 and 2.

      Delete
  10. Part 1:
The 2017 Revelation 12 sign was not a 6.5 year warning - it is an exact 7 year warning for Feast of Trumpets:

The 2017 Revelation 12 sign is a rapture sign. It happened on Feast of Trumpets, and is a sign that 7 complete Feast of Trumpets later (Trumpets to Trumpets - 7 years) will be the rapture. September 23, 2017 (9+2+3+2+0+1+7 = 24 [Trumpets ‘24]).

The 2017, 2023 and 2024 Aleph-Tav eclipses are a 7 year warning for the start of the Tribulation. From the first 2017 eclipse, 6 years, 6 months, 6 weeks and 6 days brings you to the last 2024 eclipse. There’s 6 complete 30-day prophetic months (exactly 1/2 of a prophetic year - 180 days) from the 2024 eclipse to Feast of Trumpets 2024, signaling the start of the Tribulation. So we have a 6-6-6-6-6 pattern.

The flood in Noah’s day was the “first” tribulation on the world. Noah was in the ark 7 days before the flood (tribulation) came - another symbol of a 7 year warning for the next Tribulation. A full-scale replica of Noah’s ark was extremely close to the center of where the 2017 and 2024 eclipses crossed paths, symbolizing the soon coming of the next tribulation event on the world.

The September 15, 2023 Revelation 12 sign where Virgo gave birth to the child comet is another Revelation 12 rapture sign and happened on feast of trumpets - signaling a Feast of Trumpets rapture.

The 2023 annular “wedding ring” eclipse that went directly over Roswell, NM (symbolizing an alien abduction rapture delusion) and then directly over Corpus Christi, TX (meaning “corporate body of Christ”) symbolizes the wedding of Christ to the “corporate body of Christ”. The next annular “wedding ring” eclipse also symbolizes the wedding of Christ to His bride and occurs on Oct. 2, 2024 at sunset Jerusalem time marking the start of Feast of Trumpets, signaling a 2024 Feast of Trumpets rapture.

Feast of Trumpets 2024 to Feast of Atonement 2031 (the 2nd coming of Christ) is 2550 days (1260 + 1290).

Borrowed from Gary's 2017 article: The 2017 eclipse took place during the year that Trump became president. Trump’s presidency represents a 7 year warning for the tribulation to begin on Feast of TRUMPets. The names of the President and Vice President were a homophone for "trumpets" (Trump + Pence). Just as Noah entered the ark and 7 days later brought the flood on the world, Trump became president and 7 days of years later will bring the tribulation on the world. 2 Peter 2:5 — and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; Trump is engulfed with 7’s, symbolizing a 7 year warning for the tribulation. He was inaugurated in Jewish year 5777, winning the Electoral College by exactly 77 votes. He was born 700 days before Israel was reestablished on May 14th, 1948 and was 777 days old, 77 days after Israel's 1948 rebirth. Upon inauguration (January 20th, 2017), Trump was exactly 70 years, 7 months, and 7 days old.

    1. Part 2:
Feast of Trumpets in 2016 (when Trump was elected) was sundown October 2 - 3, the same day Feast of Trumpets is in 2024.

The world was created on Tishri 1, and only makes sense that there would be a complete 6,000 years to the Millennial kingdom, which means it only makes sense that the Tribulation would be a complete 7 years - Tishri 1 (Feast of Trumpets - the head of the new year) to Tishri 10 Feast of Atonement (on a Jubilee year Feast of Trumpets is celebrated on Feast of Atonement - so again: the head of the new year 2024 to the head of the new year 2031).

On Feast of Trumpets 2024, The sun (Jesus), Mercury (the messenger angel) and the moon (the church) are all close together in Virgo (the woman giving birth to the church) symbolizing the rapture in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 and Revelation 12. Jupiter (Christ) is right between the horns of Taurus (judgement - Tribulation). Venus (Jesus) is in Libra (the scales of judgement - Tribulation). Mars (war) is in Gemini (war in heaven - Revelation 12 - Satan cast down). Saturn (Satan) is in the water being poured out in Aquarius (Christ pouring out judgement on Satan and the world in the Tribulation).

The following is from TW Tramm:
The fundamental theme of the Feast of Trumpets is the sounding of trumpets (Lev. 23:24). In the Bible, trumpet blasts are associated with:
      — Resurrection (1 Thess. 4:13–18).
      — The opening of a door to heaven (Rev. 4:1).
      — A gathering of the people (Isa. 27:13).
      — The coronation of a king (1 Kings 1:39; Ps. 47:5; 98:6)1.
      — Approaching danger (Ez. 33:4; Jer. 4:19–21).
      — A battle cry (Jer. 4:19–21).
      — A time of wrath and judgment (Joel 2; Zeph. 1:14–16).

      According to Jewish belief:
      — The resurrection of the dead occurs.
      — The wedding of messiah occurs.
      — The time of judgement begins.

All of these themes are denotive of the Rapture and arrival of Judgment Day.

    2. Part 3:
I was watching the Brittney Griner (the basketball girl who got arrested in Russia and sentenced to 9 years in prison) interview a couple days ago and noticed she had quite a few cross tattoos on her and read her bible in prison. She was eventually exchanged for the US prisoner, Russia’s Viktor Bout, known as - the merchant of death. I wondered if the timing of Brittney’s arrest and Viktor Bout’s and Brittney’s release had anything to do with the rapture and start of the tribulation I believe to be on Feast of Trumpets, October 3, 2024 Israel time (I explain my reasoning for Trumpets above). Viktor is the largest illegal arms dealer in the world, symbolizing war. His nickname, the Merchant of Death reminds me of the 4 horsemen of Revelation - war and death. Brittney’s arrest was on 2/17/2022 and her and Viktor’s release was on 12/8/2022. Viktor Bout was sentenced to 25 years in prison. From Brittney’s arrest to Trumpets 2024 is 25 months, 25 weeks and 25 days. From Viktor’s release to Trumpets 2024 is 666 days. Many people have dreams and visions of Russia nuking the US at the rapture, starting the tribulation. Feels like Brittney could be a symbol of the church escaping and the 4 horsemen released to ride starting on Trumpets 2024.

    3. Hi Adam,

Yes, lots of pin-points. Add this to them that if (Psalm 90:10) is a 29,159 day count from the birth of the State of Israel ending on the death and resurrection of the two witnesses at Purim, 2028 -- that would mean their earthly ministry would begin on Yom Teruah, 2024. Feast of Trumpets.

That is where my model pegs the beginning of the 70th week.

I'm still eyes on the Bethlehem Star which is now gathering in the morning skies and will come to fullness later this month on May 23, 2024. But in light of the last solar eclipse, I'm very keen on June 12, 2024 (Shavuot) as the Day of our Blessed Hope.

Key dates on my model are,

May 14, 1948 - Birth of the State of Israel
May 23, 2024 - Full moon, Bright morning, Bethlehem Star / High-watch day
      June 12, 2024 - Shavuot I / High-watch day / 80 prophetic years since Hiroshima
March 14, 2028 - 29,159th day since the assembly of the Provisional State Council of Israel
March 14, 2028 - Death of the two witnesses
March 18, 2028 - Resurrection of the two witnesses / Second Woe
      April 14-15, 2028 - Pesach IV - VI / AoD
September 26-27, 2031 - Yom Kippur / Glorious Second Coming of our Lord Jesus
      December 9, 2031 - First candle lighting / Hanukkah I

I also find this pattern of interest,

      2017 --- 0 --- GASE 1.0
      2018 --- 1
      2019 --- 2
      2020 --- 3
      2021 --- 4
      2022 --- 5
      2023 --- 6
      2024 --- 7 --- GASE 2.0/D70W (Begins)
      2025 --- 8
      2026 --- 9
      2027 -- 10
      2028 -- 11
      2029 -- 12
      2030 -- 13
      2031 -- 14 D70W (Ends) / MK (Begins)

Pastor Phillip Barnett would agree with you concerning a limited nuclear exchange between the US and Russia. The Azovmena Prophecy pegs that event on November 11th of an undisclosed future year. I'm open minded of that modern prophecy but not dogmatic.

    4. I'm certainly very hopeful for this Feast of Trumpets. The timing, for several reasons, seems to align perfectly. We're in the window where it's almost a guarantee that the Rapture will happen, 1993 or 1994 years from the cross. I really, really believe it's this year (6 months or so left!) I can't wait to see what it'll be like! If you haven't been watching, the "God a Minute" channel on YouTube has some excellent studies on this year.

    5. We can also add the typology of Joseph here as well with the heptadic year cycle.

7 years of fat, then 7 years of lean.

Jospeh takes a gentile wife, Joseph is reunited with his brothers, forgives them, and helps them.

Clearly a typology that overlays the boundary of the church age into the Tribulation.

Before people will call peace and safety, the European Revived Roman Empire, consisting of 10 European nations, must be formed from which the antichrist will emerge. It will be the antichrist who will confirm a peace treaty with Israel. When that happens, they will proclaim peace and safety. Before this will happen, the Rapture will occur.

    8. An alternative to that view is that of BRICS forming the basis of the 10 nation, multi-polar, power. Or rather, the 20 nation multi-polar power seen in 10 horns and 10 crowns. BRICS is well on its way to building a global economic powerhouse apart from the west (US) and Europe. Should Saudi Arabia join BRICS as invited at the first of the year -- the economic block would consist of 10 nations. Add a group like ASEAN to BRICS and it would be 20 strong. Nods to Ty Green on this research.

    9. If the Saudis do join BRICS, the petro dollar is dead & comes full circle since Nixon went off of the gold standard in the early 1970's opting for the petro dollar. Why has Saudi Arabia demurred? Well perhaps MBS enjoys taunting the USA in exchange for that state for Palestine and who knows what else as Israel is hung out to dry by an indebted bankrupt USA.

  13. SOME SIMPLE MATH

If you've never thought of it in such terms, here's a peek at how the age unfolds. What is the "age" you ask? It is the period of time that Jesus will be with us as found in (Matthew 28:20b ESV),

"...And behold, I am with you always,
to the end of the age."

These are the last words of Jesus as recorded by Matthew and part of His promise associated with the Great Commission. RED LETTERS that promise that Jesus, Emmanuel, meaning, "God with us" will be with us until the end of the age.

When is the end of the age?

The Church Age is given as 2,000 years. Thus from the time that the Great Commission was given in 31 to 33 AD to the end of the age would be 2031 to 2033 AD. The end of the age begins the Millennial Kingdom which is heralded in by the Glorious Second Coming of Christ Jesus with His bride the Church. An event marked by the swift but deadly Gog of Magog War I at which the beast and false prophet are cast alive into the lake of fire.

That Coming of Christ, comes at the end of the Time of Jacob's Trouble, the last 3-1/2 years of the 70th Week of Daniel. Many term this period of time as "the tribulation" but I believe it more accurate to call it Daniel's 70th Week (D70W)...a week of years or seven (7) years that overlaps the end of the age. Thus some simple math,

    Church Age - D70W = Beginning of D70W

    ...or...

    2000 years - 7 years = 1993 years

    ...meaning...

    31 AD + 2000 years (Church Age) = 2031 AD
    2031 AD - 7 years (D70W) = 2024 AD (Beginning of D70W)

    32 AD + 2000 years (Church Age) = 2032 AD
    2032 AD - 7 years (D70W) = 2025 AD (Beginning of D70W)

    33 AD + 2000 years (Church Age) = 2033 AD
    2033 AD - 7 years (D70W) = 2026 AD (Beginning of D70W)

Bear in mind that these are rough estimates and based on our Gregorian (Gentile) calendar. Bear in mind too that the Dead Sea Scrolls (11QMelchizedek) peg the year of the cross as being 32 AD (plus or minus one year).

All tolled, this perspective shows us that we are at the end of the age and on the very threshold of the second order of the Resurrection of the Righteous,

22 For as in Adam all die, so also
in Christ shall all be made alive.

23 But each in his own order:
Christ the firstfruits, then at his
    coming those who belong to
    Christ.

24 Then comes the end, when
    he delivers the kingdom to
    God the Father after destroying
    every rule and every authority
    and power.

    (1 Corinthians 15:22-24 ESV)

There is a very old idiom that states the restrainer will be removed. We see that too in Scripture. (2 Thessalonians 2:7) Who is the restrainer? The earliest writings of the Church fathers show us that the restrainer is the Church. Thus the second order of the resurrection of the righteous will be taken when Christ comes on the clouds -- the harpazo.

What does this mean for those of us watching and waiting for the Rapture? When may it be? It could literally be any time now. My personal high watch days are 5/23/24 and 6/12/24 as well as Feast of Trumpets this year. No matter when it is it will be in God's perfect timing!

Stay awake and alert. Keep His Word and do not deny His Name. His Word is Christ and His Name is Jesus!

    Blessings,

The full moon is over Jerusalem and the bright morning, Bethlehem Star has come. The Sun is in Taurus with Jupiter and Venus to its right and the seven sisters (stars) of the Pleiades before them all. A familiar scene? To this point it all appears a powerful sign in the heavens, but on Earth what do we see?

The dragon is on the move,

China holds military drills around Taiwan as 'strong punishment'

    Quoting, BBC,

"China has started two days of military exercises around Taiwan, with its military calling them 'strong punishment' for the self-ruled island's 'separatist acts'.

The drills come three days after the inauguration of President William Lai, who called on China to stop threatening the island and accept the existence of its democracy."

It certainly reminds me of the dragon that seeks to devour the child who is caught up by God.

Today marks exactly 80 months since the Great Sign of Revelation 12. It is also the day that remembers the depletion of matzah in the wilderness by G-D for Israel while on their journey to the promised land. Chabad.org marks this event as occurring in the year 1313 BC.

I cannot help but think that the end of one season is the beginning of another. We are another day closer to the Day of our Blessed Hope. Share the Love of Christ to all God gives you. Reflect Him in all that you do. Put God first, keep His Word and do not deny His Name.

I found the word America 44 times and it sure sounded like you were bashing the American People.

December 23, 1913. President Woodrow Wilson signed the Federal Reserve Act in December 1913. And later admitted that He had destroyed His Country.

Until you understand the end game for America, you can't understand what has been and continues to be the destruction of America by the deep state, which has infiltrated every aspect of America from the Top Down.

Trump needed the American people not only to see it, but also feel it. What has been done and continues to be done to them by the deep state.

Yes the American, Deep State has invaded every nation on earth and forced the private central bank on them, The international banking cartel.

See, they don't care who makes the Laws just as long as they control the Money.

Congress shall have the right to print Money, not the federal reserve private banking cartel to which the American Government barrows with interest to pay back. Wow what a great deal they got!

Their Philosophy is " Lie, Cheat, Steel ,Murder" the ends justify the means. And that is Satanic.

So, lets keep slavery alive, people poor, blind, stupid, and measurable! That's what they do to the American public.

Also, Roe v. Wade is the U.S. Supreme Court case that legalized abortion in the United States in 1973. That also is Satanic from the Top.

So, we fight, that's what we do, against principalities and powers in high places.

All those innocents that die, there alive up there! He knows when a sparrow falls.

And Europe is experiencing the same thing.

  19. We are entering unknown territory Biblically where only the Spirit of the Lord can “fill in the gaps” of our knowledge of what is to come. Although most Christians, like our Brother Greg Lauer, shun modern day prophecy, we are instructed:

Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues. - 1 Corinthians 14:39 KJV

Quench not the Spirit. - 1 Thessalonians 5:19 KJV

Despise not prophesyings. - 1 Thessalonians 5:20 KJV

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. - 1 Thessalonians 5:21 KJV

The Scripture clearly instructs us to welcome prophecy but to prove it—does it contradict Scripture? I very much understand people who are hesitant to grab hold of rhema immediately for there are many false prophets indeed in this hour. Yet we should consider it, weigh it against the Scriptures, and go before the Lord about it.

Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying [serveth] not for them that believe not, but for them which believe. - 1 Corinthians 14:22 KJV

But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant. - 1 Corinthians 14:38 KJV

With that said, here is more of what I believe the Spirit of the Lord has revealed about the days just prior to the Rapture for we are entering what is known as “uncharted territory” of which only God Himself knows what will happen:

Because I'm not sure when we will lose the internet, I have updated my most recent article again:

When I originally posted this article, I wrote that this will likely prevent the World Health Assembly, the governing body of WHO, from imposing their will on the world because the treaty will not be ready in time for their convention which begins this Memorial Day, May 27, and continues through June 1.

It appears, however, that The WHO's Pandemic Treaty And A Bird Flu Crisis Are Both Arriving At The Same Time:

In recent weeks, negotiators have been feverishly working to finalize the global pandemic treaty. . . Negotiations have been taking place for the last two years, and the plan is to submit the final draft for a vote at the World Health Assembly at the end of this month…

The 77th World Health Assembly will be held in Geneva, Switzerland from May 27th to June 1st.
Member nations will cast their votes on the final draft of the global pandemic treaty, and it is fully expected to pass. . .
If this treaty passes, when the next pandemic erupts the WHO will be running the show, and most people in the general population do not realize this.
And the next pandemic may be a lot closer than most of us think.

Something is definitely in the works, because big pharma stocks recently jumped as new human bird flu cases were reported in the United States and Australia as Many Fish explains in his 4-minute video Biotech Big Phama Sorcery Stocks Spike on Bird Flu Developements. 77th WHO Assembly.

Dave Hodges at The Common Sense Show confirms the nearness of another plandemic in his Rumble video, 5 MILLION PRE-ELECTION BIRD FLU VACCINES DELIVERED-UN PEACEKEEPERS ENTER US IN SUPPORT OF WHO TREATY. 20. FUN FACT

With the Bethlehem Star behind us and events of the day duly noted -- I started looking at the calendar again and noticed something that didn't stand-out to me before.

Yom Teruah (Feast of Trumpets) begins on the evening of Wednesday, October 2, 2024 per the civil calendar. That same evening begins Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) on the Essene calendar.

The same day is suggested as the beginning of the 70th week according to the (Psalm 90:10) model of 80 prophetic years, 359 days (if by strength) and the suggested arrival of the two witnesses per the model.

Essene Yom Teruah begins at sunset of Tuesday, September 17, 2024 and will be marked by a Super (partial lunar eclipse) Full Moon. The day is also known as the Fall Day of Remembrance. Yes, their calendar is rather different from the Pharisee calendar -- a calendar that can be argued as the proper calendar to observe. (The fact that the Pharisees lost so many priests to their flawed calendar speaks volumes).

    2. Indeed. If BRICS is the kernel that the 10 horns and 10 crowns come from then we're already well down the path of that fullness of count. The only hold-out from the five nations invited to join at the first of the year was Saudi Arabia. They would make 10 nations in total. Time to take a look at what other nations have been invited and who's who for potential new members.

  21. "The sky vanished like a scroll that is being rolled up..."

(Revelation 6:12) echoes a theme we see in Scripture of the sky being rolled up like a scroll. How can the sky be rolled up as if the heavens were being closed on themselves? Perhaps it's a matter of perspective. If a higher dimension were being imposed upon our dimension then from their perspective our heavens would be rolled up as theirs was rolled open over ours.

Do we have Scriptural hints of this ever happening in the past?

Maybe, just maybe, we see a much smaller scale of this in the Christmas story as witnessed by the shepherds,

9 And an angel of the Lord appeared
to them, and the glory of the Lord
shone around them, and they were
    filled with great fear.

    (Luke 2:9 ESV)

It's interesting how the "stars of the sky" (aka, fallen angels) fall from the sky, if not pushed, in advance of this event. (Revelation 6:13) The dragon and his lot are already cast from heaven. It makes me wonder if the approach of the heavenly realm upon earth further pushes them away from heaven? As if a wave were driving them earthward.

We know that this is war. War in heaven and the heavens consist of the atmosphere of the Earth, space and the abode of the LORD God, His angels, the living creatures, the 24 elders and His saints. Would the enemy just give in without a fight? Indeed, the enemy did/does fight but was unable to resist. The enemy was/is forced and cast down to earth by Michael and his angels (Revelation 12:7-11).

When heaven meets earth, will the skies appear to be rolled up as dimensions collide? Maybe. Which heaven is Satan then cast out of? (Revelation 12:7-11) Space? It certainly seems so as it has already been cast out of the third heaven as witnessed by Jesus Himself (Luke 10:18).

It is a study that I'm working through and wanted to share given the war in heaven is such an important feature of our going Home. The theatre of operations of the enemy is shrinking by the day. Eventually, it will be limited to operating here on Earth before it is cast into utter darkness and eternal fire.

Soon, the whole earth will shake as the dead in Christ are raised, the sun will be darkened and the moon turned to blood as the fallen are cast to earth. Every living saint being mountain (kingdom) and island (nation) of God will be taken as those who dwell on the earth that remain are blown like chaff and flee before the storm into the rocks. (Revelation 6:12-17), (Isiah 17:12-13)

It almost sounds like when the LORD descended on Mt Horeb on that first Shavuot. Fire and smoke and a voice like a trumpet but on a planetary scale! (Exodus 19:16) If so, no wonder the sun is turned to darkness and the moon to blood on the same day!!

I dare say that our going Home will not be a quiet event. We won't simply vanish with our clothes falling from the skies. That great and terrible Day sees the Wrath of the Lamb.

Who can stand on that Day?

    WE CAN!

28 Now when these things begin to
take place, straighten up and raise
    your heads, because your redemption
    is drawing near."

You said above "Soon, the whole earth will shake as the dead in Christ are raised".

Yes Paul taught the Corinthian's and Thessalonian's the where when how and why of the rapture of the Church. "The dead in Christ rise first".

My question to you is, which dead in Christ was Paul referring to?

  23. Another thing!

Paul was God's choice to reveal the mystery to the Church. John experienced it. He was caught up.

The first voice like a trumpet caught him up, and there were the twenty four elders. He is there, before that seal is opened that begins to unleash the Great Tribulation, raise Antichrist to power, and start the 70th week.

And in between, the end of the 69th week, in Daniel 9, shown to Daniel in that vision, and the 70th week, when Antichrist will rise, is the Age where God deals through the Gospel, the good news, preached in the book of Romans, and the epistles of the New Testament, and the Church is raised up, and the twenty four elders are made complete.

Only those that are in Christ are going to be caught up.

    Grace through Faith.

    1. Great discussion points!

Agreed. Paul was God's choice to reveal the mystery of the Church as long as we're talking about the Gentiles. Bear in mind that there are echoes of the mystery provided in the OT too through the Prophets.

Both Paul and John were caught up to heaven.

The first voice like a trumpet was at Mt Horeb when the Law was given to Israel. John was called by the same voice and witnessed humans in heaven. They were the 24 elders. My study led me away from them being the Church because of their timing. As mentioned (below), I used to think they were the Church but no longer. I believe them to be resurrected OT saints that are either 24 literal elder saints or members of a course of elder saints who serve 24 at a time. I also believe that the sea of glass is the dead in Christ. (Also discussed below) They dwell before the LORD God in spirit because the harpazo has yet to happen. That comes in (Revelation 6:12).

I believe the "Great Tribulation" is a poor translation of what should literally be, "the tribulation her great" or "her tribulation the great". I take literally what John shares in his greeting in (Revelation 1:9) as being "the tribulation". That is not to say that the last 3-1/2 weeks is not the Time of Jacob's Troubles. The Great Tribulation. It is, but I believe we are already living in the tribulation and have been since the first century when the church was sent out to conquer according to the Great Commission.

Only those that are in Christ that keep His Word (logos) and do not deny His Name (Jesus) are going to be caught up. (Revelation 3:10) Those who fail to do so risk being left behind to face the 70th week.

      Wake up Sardis!!!

      Grace through faith. Amen!

    2. I'm a little slow on the uptake. Are you saying that not everyone who's saved will go in the pretribulation rapture?

      Delete
    3. Hi Mike,

I am concerned at certain points which Jesus gives us through the letters to the churches with one of them being,

4 Yet you have still a few names in
Sardis, people who have not soiled
their garments, and they will walk
with me in white, for they are
      worthy.

      RED LETTERS (Revelation 3:4 ESV)

Jesus tells us that those who keep the faith, do not deny His Name and keep the Word will walk with Him in white as given to the churches in Philadelphia and Sardis. All others who fail to do so have soiled their garments (faith) and risk being left behind to face the trial coming on the inhabitants of the earth.

This is VERY concerning as to the possibilities and one has to consider the peril they may be in by NOT taking Him seriously -- meaning keeping faith and not denying His Name.

The letters to the churches are a call to repentance,

5 The one who conquers will be
      clothed thus in white garments,
and I will never blot his name out
of the book of life. I will confess
his name before my Father and
      before his angels.

      RED LETTERS (Revelation 3:15 ESV)

If this is the reward for those who keep the faith; what then is the "reward" for those who don't? To put it another way, are we willing, as individuals, to risk the consequences of living a life so contrary to God that we push the limits of His Grace? Push the limits of what it takes to be saved let alone be taken at the harpazo?

(Revelation 12:17) shows us that the dragon will turn to make war on the rest, the left behind, the others. What left behind?! Get out your Greek Concordance and see Strong's (G3062). This is the word used in verse 17 for the rest who the dragon makes war on after trying to devour the man-child.

It's a wake up call and to be taken seriously. A call to repentance and to keep the faith. Not willfully taking for granted that all will go no matter how apostate you are.

If the price of faithlessness were to be left behind why risk it? Repent and get right with God while there is still time. His Grace is not cheap. It cost every precious drop of our Saviour's blood.

Will some be left behind? Based on the warnings we see I fear, yes. [Emphasis, fear] Jesus' warnings should make one take note and give pause if not a wake-up call. His is a call to repentance for those who have drifted, fallen asleep or just plain walked away from true faith.

Does this mean they're not saved? I cannot answer that question. Only the Spirit knows the answer to that question. All I know is that His sheep know His voice and will follow. They will keep His Word and not deny His Name, even to death.

  24. Hi Gregg (and all),

I hope this answers your question. Not trying to be windy but want to provide a thorough answer with references as usual.

Quoting the Holy Spirit via Paul,

22 For as in Adam all die, so also
in Christ shall all be made alive.

23 But each in his own order:
Christ the firstfruits, then at his
    coming those who belong to
    Christ.

24 Then comes the end, when
he delivers the kingdom to God
    the Father after destroying every
    rule and every authority and
    power.

    (1 Corinthians 15:22-23 ESV)

These are what is called the Orders of the Resurrection of the Righteous Saints -- the three parts of the first resurrection.

An event known by some as the "Christquake" occurred at the death of Jesus on the cross. A hint that quakes accompany resurrection(s). The dead who rose with Christ as firstfruits of the resurrection were, I believe, the righteous saints rescued from Sheol (Abraham's bosom) and the recent dead who were bodily raised and (likely) lived out the remainder of their lives just as Lazarus or any of the others raised from death by Jesus or the apostles. Is this specifically stated in Scripture? Not directly, but it is inferred and potentially supported by the accounts of others resurrected in Scripture.

This event is where, I believe, the 24 elders come from. The righteous saints who were raised with Christ as firstfruits.

I also believe that the sixth seal of Revelation encapsulates the second order of the resurrection or what most call the Rapture. This resurrection event includes those who are asleep in Christ and dwell in the presence of the LORD God today. This event is initiated with an earthquake (resurrection) whereupon those asleep in Christ will be bodily raised and glorified. I also believe that they are seen in Scripture as the sea of glass like crystal who, "at his coming [are] those who belong to Christ." That is how John saw them and how they are today as spirit not bodily.

    1. Reply to Gregg (Continued)

Paul continues through his letter to the Thessalonians,

14 For since we believe that Jesus died
and rose again, even so, through Jesus,
God will bring with him those who have
      fallen asleep.

      (1 Thessalonians 4:14 ESV)

Christ had already been crucified, died and rose again on the third day and the firstfruits of the resurrection raised when this was written. Therefore, the ones spoken of here are Christian souls who have fallen asleep and dwell in the presence of the LORD God in spirit to this day.

      Paul continues,

15 For this we declare to you by a
word from the Lord, that we who
are alive, who are left until the
coming of the Lord, will not precede
      those who have fallen asleep.

      (1 Thessalonians 4:15 ESV)

At the quaking of the Earth, in what will seem like a moment and in immediate succession, the dead in Christ will be bodily raised and glorified and in an instant those of us who are alive on Earth will be taken and glorified in kind. This is the second order of the resurrection of the righteous saints.

Paul further details the coming of Christ,

16 For the Lord himself will descend from
heaven with a cry of command, with the
voice of an archangel, and with the sound
of the trumpet of God. And the dead in
      Christ will rise first.

17 Then we who are alive, who are left
will be caught up together with them in
the clouds to meet the Lord in the air,
and so we will always be with the Lord.

      (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 ESV)

This is what we call the harpazo or Rapture. It is part two of the three part first resurrection as given by Paul in (1 Corinthians 15:23). Note how it echoes the descent and arrival upon Mt Horeb of the LORD at the first Pentecost in Exodus.

Some of you may note that my position on these things have shifted over the years. Indeed they have as my personal studies have led me to fall away from the mainstream pre-tribulation position. I no longer see the harpazo as a (Revelation 4) event but as a (Revelation 6) event. I also believe that the tribulation began in the first century as given by John (Revelation 1:9) and that this position is supported by the Greek translation. Such a position means that the fifth seal has already been opened and we are awaiting the breaking of the sixth seal and the Rapture.

Technically, I am no longer a pre-tribber as I believe the tribulation has already begun. I don't know what you'd call that, a pre-weeker? Either way, both positions believe in a pre-70th week Rapture.

So, Gregg...which dead in Christ was Paul referring to?

Paul was referring to those who today dwell in the presence of the LORD God, before His throne as seen in the sea of glass like crystal by John as witnessed in (Revelation 4:6). By (Revelation 15) the sea of glass has changed and by (Revelation 21) the sea is no more. All who will be resurrected to life have been resurrected to life. The GWT Judgment has passed and the Eternal Kingdom begun.

      Grace and peace to you,

    2. Love you PR but disagree on your changes in belief. It's teetering on a "works"
salvation. There is nothing we can do or not do that makes us saved more or less than another.
I know you put lots of words and references in your comments and I do not, but even so I think I made my point?
Oh...I still believe Pre trib, I dont believe it has begun.

      Delete
    3. Hi Nan,

Thanks and I thought the same thing that it could be taken as teetering on works which was not intended. My point isn't about salvation but on the Rapture. Saved is saved and we will receive our rewards at the Bema Seat. Some will receive great reward while others may just make it into heaven.

That said, what can we take away from the letters to the churches? If we dismiss them we are at risk. They are clearly a warning and a wake up call to repentance and repentance is a work. A vital work!

Works are not a bad thing. Just ask James! : ) But keeping the faith is a work in and of itself. Repentance is a work too which is the point of the letters to the churches. Repentance is part of our sanctification and mortification. Exchanging the old self for the new. Newness in Christ and conformance to His likeness. I believe we have choice in such matters and that choice demands a work, an act of faith.

Is it possible to be saved and yet be apostate and left behind? That is a good question and I think the answer may be, yes. I pointed to that in one of my recent posts -- the left behind of the church. I do know it matters that we show love for His Name and keep the faith which means keeping His commands, the Greatest Commandment chief among them.

10 For God is not unjust so as to
overlook your work and the love
that you have shown for his name
in serving the saints, as you still
      do.

11 And we desire each one of
you to show the same earnestness
to have the full assurance of
      hope until the end,

12 so that you may not be sluggish,
but imitators of those who through
      faith and patience inherit the
      promises.

      (Hebrews 6:10-12 ESV)

Our works are not about earning our salvation. Our works are all about Jesus, our salvation. Our works are a love response to our salvation. Again, His Name is Jesus.

It's what love does and does to the glory of God.

      I hope that makes sense.

    4. I understand where you're coming from, but I still can't believe that some won't go. No matter how you look at it that would be dividing Christians according to their works. I really believe anyone not taken in the rapture were not a Christian in the first place. They may even appear to be outwardly but never really accepted the gift, the truth of Jesus.
I believe the warnings to the churches address this.

    5. Oh, and yes...works are important! Not for salvation though....

    6. There is actually a scripture that addresses this issue ... about if those truly born again Christians who we commonly refer to as being "out of fellowship with God and gone back into their old ways" will go in the Rapture. The short answer to that question is "yes, they will."

I do not remember where the scripture can be found, but I'm quite certain that either Gary or Jeff (or both) wrote an article on this site about that subject matter and brought that scripture to light. I just don't remember which article it was though. Perhaps Gary or Jeff could link it here in the comment section.

But there are other scriptures that I am aware of that tell us the same thing. Paul said "all" who are born again will go in the Rapture regardless. He gave that message with that word "all" when speaking to the Corinthians - the most carnal Christians known in the circle of Christians of that that day ...

"For we shall "all" be changed" he said.

      Delete
    7. Cody, BAM! I thank God for "all"! Once had a pastor make the comment, "All means all, and that's all all means."

    8. A person can be part of a church assembly and not be born of God's spirit.

Paul writes in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 KJV that those who are “in Christ” will be caught up or raptured. Is being “in Christ” something we earned or was it given to us by grace?

The answer can be found in Romans Chapter 8:

And if Christ [be] in you, the body [is] dead because of sin; but the Spirit [is] life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. - Romans 8:10-11 KJV

It is the Spirit of God within that seals us and then quickens us the day Jesus comes for His Bride.

Therefore, those who are born again of incorruptible seed are “in Christ”. It is by faith by an act of grace (Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8), not by works. The rapture is NOT an earned reward; it is given to us by grace. We are not worthy to escape by our works, but we are made worthy “in Christ” (see also Who are the Tribulation Saints?).

      Delete
    9. Gasp!... No, please... Respectfully...

Anyone who belongs to Christ will go. Period.

There is no Partial Rapture, that is a doctrine of fear, and has no place in the life of a believer. To believe that, is to say Christ is not enough, and puts a stumbling block in front of your brother's and sister's.

A believer does not have to be "Ready to go, to be able to go", which is another falsehood. All will go, ready or not.

The determining factor of salvation is a heart relationship with Christ.

That! Is how He knows you and I, and it is what separates us from the non-believer (whether deceived or outright opposed).

There are no works to gain, nor are there any to maintain that salvation once given. And, His Grace is MORE than sufficient for all, in all situations.

In (1 Corinthians 3:10-15), Paul speaks about Christ as the Foundation of salvation, that no one else can lay, not even Paul.

In verses 12-15 we see the BEMA judgement described, NOT a judgment for sin since Christ already paid that for us, but a judgement of works done by Christ in us, or our own works done in our own will.

All who stand at this judgement are saved and immortal now, they have to be to even be able to stand there before him. (Romans 14:4) tells us they stand there, as Christ is able to make them stand, regardless of the opinion of men.

Many are rewarded for allowing Christ to work through them and perform His will (Gold, Silver, and Precious Gems). Some will have no reward (Wood, Hay, and Stubble), but THEY ARE saved.

The loss is a tragedy of lost opportunities in life... Not one's salvation.

Our future as Christians is based on a past, present, and future tense, since God sees all things as an eternal present.

      • We have been Justified by Christ and HAVE BEEN saved from the Penalty of Sin.
      • We ARE BEING saved from the Power of Sin through Sanctification.
      • We WILL BE saved from the Presence of Sin at our Glorification in Christ.

In (John 10 27-30) we have the clear message that all that belong to Christ are not lost, and will never be lost, as no one can snatch them from His or the Father's hand. This is permanence, this is eternal.

And further, the "no one" listed here is completely "No One". This includes ourselves in our doubt, we can not leave Him once we are truly His. The reason for this is that Salvation is a covenant solely dependent on God fulfilling the terms of the covenant, we have no obligation other than when we initially enter into it with Him.

And "All who call, will be saved" (Romans 10:13)

So what is this belonging based on? Faith of course, believe in your heart, and confess with your mouth (Romans 10:8-10).

The will of the Father is this:

(John 6:40) "And this is the will of the One who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him shall have everlasting life; and I will raise him up on the last day."

So once again Faith is believing (in your heart).

(John 6:37) "Everyone the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will never drive away."

Now then, how can we say or even believe that He will not take ALL who are His when He comes for us?

The church is the Body and Bride of Christ. The church is not appointed to wrath. Will the Lord come and receive only half a body, leaving some of His members to fend for themselves and reach some mythical stature in the wrath to come? Will He send is Bride into the Tribulation to be battered and bruised before Her wedding?

      • If Eternal Salvation can be lost, then it is not eternal.
      • If you could lose salvation, then you would.
      • If Grace depends on our cooperation, then it is no longer Grace.
      • Grace and Works are mutually exclusive; they cannot exist in the same binding.

He will never leave or forsake us! Know it, own it, wear it! Put on Christ!

Grace and Peace to you all in Christ Jesus our Lord, God in the Flesh.

Prayers for Israel and her people.

Keep the word, and don't deny His name. Endure patiently.

If he's not saved (and I don't think he is) and if he's president during the Trib (I'm hoping we go before then), then he might very well happily usher in the AC with open arms and be part of Babylon, but I don't think he himself is the AC.

Is America the fourth beast of Daniel 7? Trump or trumpet is a "Little Horn". Donald means "world ruler". Don't forget the Abraham Accords are the Trump Accords waiting as a covenant to be confirmed

    3. Remember, the harlot that rides upon the scarlet beast is Mystery Babylon and she will be destroyed in a day by fire by the beast. (Revelation 17) The small horn, which is the AC, will rise out of the seven headed beast not the harlot. The scarlet beast will throw her off by destroying her thus she, Babylon the Great, nor any leaders that come from her, should be expected to be the AC.

  27. "And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work." (Romans 11:6).

Is faith a work? Faith is receiving/ believing in God's grace/ salvation. It is an act of rest -- therefore we "labour to enter into that rest". Turning faith into a work makes one self-focused, and causes us to look away from God and His goodness, and towards ourselves.

Repentance in the Greek is Metanoia, which simply means 'a change of mind' i.e. we daily repent towards God, in what we believe about His goodness and grace, as there are often times our faith becomes weak and we doubt His loving kindness toward us.

Repentance in hebrew is Teshuva. Quoting from Josephprince.com :

"The first letter, tav, has as its pictogram a cross.[2] The last letter, hei, is the fifth letter in the Hebrew alphabet,[3] and the number five in Bible numerics represents grace. Sandwiched between tav (cross) and hei (grace) are the letters shin, vav, and bet. These three letters form the word shuv, which means “to return.”[4] Putting it all together, teshuvah or repentance means this: “Because of the cross of Jesus, return to grace.... It is not about returning to the law of moses".

  28. Please do remember that the author (authority) of those words was the Almighty who wants only good for us. And His Son said only what He heard His Father say. These are days of deception and lawlessness. It's why we want out of here so badly. We need to heed the words of our Maker. You really can't go wrong with that.

  29. Christianity is not a religion, it's a way of life. Those who practice it as a religion make a mockery of it.

Most religions try to make you a better person by coming down on you for what we all do best - sinning! And I have often wondered why. I praise the Lord for sin! If God wanted us perfect, he would have created us that way. But he didn't. Ever wonder why? Why is leaving us sinners part of God's plan?

You see, it's not sin that is important to God, but the recognition of it. God is not looking for perfection in man, he is looking for trust. He sent his son to pay for all inequity, past, present, and future. His sacrifice is what was required. We can't save ourselves even if we never sinned again, so what's the purpose of it all?

God left us sinners so that we would have a connection back to him. Without sin, we would not need or know God. Sin is the plug. We can't stop sinning, and no sin is greater than another. The word sin is from the Greek, homortia, which means to fall short. Anything short of the glory of God is falling short. Our whole life is a filthy rag before the Lord.

But, the sacrifice of Jesus tore down the wall of separation to the Father that was built by Adam. That means that because of what Jesus did, we now have direct access to the father. The Father views us as joint inheritors of Jesus. So, our praise goes to the Father via Jesus.

What I am saying is that we now have a door - It's a personal door. The door is a relationship with the Father, as a father, and it's personal. Nothing stands between you and the Father at all. Nothing, includes sin. The sins were paid for, and the relationship thrives on them.

Because you believe, you have invited Jesus into your heart, and confessed with your mouth that he is Lord. That made you a "new creature in Christ". That allowed you to open the relationship with the father. Without that, there is no salvation under that covenant. Salvation is a gift of God offered in a faith covenant. Accept the gift, and you become a new creature. No longer Jew or Gentile.

Now, the devil, who is the prince of the power of the air, lives in us. We toss him out when we put Jesus in. They can't live in the same heart at the same time. But, because we are sinners, left that way by God, we let the devil back into our hearts constantly. In fact, we can't do other than that. It's not in our nature to. That's what we have to learn to overcome. When we do, we become "overcomers".

It’s the new man in conflict with the old man, learning to overcome our very nature with the available tools. But we are sinners, so we can’t stop sinning. But we can use our authority over the devil to stay plugged into our relationship with God.

Once you put Jesus in your heart, then fall short, or let the devil back in, your recognition is the key. So, you go back to the Father and talk it over with him. Now

003:022 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

  30. Jesus is in your heart again, and the devil is out. That good feeling that you get when you are free of the devil, yearns to grow longer and longer as the relationship with the Father grows freer and stronger.

In other words, your awareness of when God is in you and when he is not grows keener as time goes on. That's because a promise of God is being fulfilled within you.

He begins in your heart, where you must believe in him. It progresses to your mouth, where you must confess him to be Lord, and from there he begins to grow outward from within your heart. And each visit to the "well" for a drink, starts lasting longer and longer. However, you never stop sinning. But, you are changing and it is a visible change and it comes from within. Soon, your awareness of God in your heart becomes the dominant desire of your heart to keep him there.

But, dog gone it, we just can't seem to do that. So, we go running back to God each time we encounter the devil on a conscious level. The sins were forgiven and paid for long ago by Jesus. The benefit of that is the relationship with God. The benefit of that is abundant life, which means the freedom to live as a human, on the earth, overcoming, not sin, but the devil inspired resistance of using the God given gift of dominion over the devil.

We have the authority to kick the devil out of our hearts at anytime we feel him there! We don't believe it, so we don't use it! We believe we have to stop sinning, and fear God, instead of running to him and telling him the problem. Didn't he say to cast your cares on him, for they are his constant concern?

His concern is not making you perfect. He has a plan for that clearly laid out in Scripture. His concern is for the relationship that allows him to grow from within your heart to manifest itself in you as a changed person with power over the devil and your eyes on heaven. His concern is that you trust his word to be true. He demonstrates that from within His personal relationship with each individual.

The national covenant that he made with the chosen people brought his word back to him void of fulfillment. The covenant he made with the "new creatures in Christ" is fulfilled in each individual, as they believe in their hearts, and confess it with their mouth, that Jesus is Lord. That is the single requirement that changes you into a new creature in Christ with all the promises and rewards that entails.

    Here is the invitation.
    A relationship with the Father.
    Rev 3:20-21
3:020 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
3:021 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

    Grace through Faith
