America's judgement
Today we shout in the streets with joy over the demise of Osama Bin Laden--foolish really to celebrate the destruction of one person, when we are next in line.
I am certainly glad this threat has been removed, though the threat remains. Certainly not a time to lower your guard... quite the opposite.
As glad as I am over the news, it is hard to be excited. As evil as this man was, he was just a man, though a terribly evil and misguided one. Still I wouldn't wish hell on my worst enemy. One glimpse into the fire of the abyss, the smell and the sound of the screams, and you might feel the same.
Ezekiel 18:23 -
"Do I have any pleasure in the death of the wicked," declares the Lord GOD, "rather than that he should turn from his ways and live?
