Top 20 Signs Of The Rapture And Second Coming Of Christ

In this author's humble opinion these are the 20 clearest signs that the end of the age is quite literally imminent:

1. In a technical sense the Gospel has now been preached to every nation on earth in fulfillment of Mark 13:10.  Some scholars argue that we must interpret the Greek word for "nation" strictly as an individual ethnic group, but even if that is the correct interpretation, this prophecy was likely fulfilled sometime toward the end of the 20th century or the beginning of this century.  There are certainly still several isolated tribes where the Gospel has not been preached, but the biblical "nation" must necessarily encompass a larger people group than merely a single tribe or else Paul could not have said of the Mediterranean world of his time in Colossians 1:23:

This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.

2. After nearly two millennia the twelve tribes of Israel are back in the Promised Land and the nation of Israel has been reborn.  This fulfills numerous prophecies: Isaiah 66:8, Isaiah 11:10-12, Ezekiel 36:22-28, Ezekiel 37:12, Ezekiel 38:8, Jeremiah 30:3-4, Zechariah 10:10, and others.  Read more about this here.

3. A final, great apostasy as prophesied in 1 Timothy 4:1 and 2 Thessalonians 2:3 is clearly and uniquely underway.  Many professing Christians have fallen away over the centuries, but nothing in history can be even remotely compared to the mass abandoning and corruption of faith beginning in the 1950s and 1960s.  This is a phenomenon that no other generation of Christians has experienced.  Church attendance has literally been cut in half across most of the western world as has the essential biblical belief that faith in Jesus Christ is necessary for salvation—a plurality of Christians now believe their way is but one of many.  Dozens of denominations have embraced homosexuality, gay marriage, abortion, no-fault divorce, and Darwinism.  Dozens more have rejected biblical inerrancy.  Heretical Christians that profess a culturally-acceptable faith persecute Bible-believing Christians at school, at work, and at every level of government.

4. Worldwide moral conditions are now the same as they were in the days of Noah as Jesus said they would be in Matthew 24:37 and Luke 17:26.  The three specific things the Bible says about the immorality of the world at the time of Noah were that there was genetic manipulation (Genesis 6:4), violence everywhere (Genesis 6:11), and every human thought was evil continually (Genesis 6:5).

Worldwide, 56 million children are now murdered every year via abortion.  That is one-in-four children.  As many children are murdered in one year now as people died in all of World War II—history's single bloodiest conflict.  There are also 54 simultaneous armed conflicts ensuing as I write this—likely more than at any other time in history.  Don't forget that there is also an unprecedented level of terrorism, mass shootings at least every week, and record violence against Christians.

Did the pre-Flood world have even this level of violence before judgment?  I seriously think not, which makes one wonder: if we've surpassed the level of corruption and violence that existed in Noah's day, how close are we to judgment?

5. Jesus also said the time immediately before His coming would be as it was in the days of Lot (Luke 17:28).  The story of Lot only mentions a single specific sin that the wicked inhabitants of Sodom attempted: a homosexual gang rape of Lot's two guests.  That, coupled with the name "Sodom," from which we derive the English word sodomy, points to a time when homosexual sin had reached its zenith.  To bolster Jesus' analogy, the Apostle Paul describes how these sins point to a final, peak immorality (see Romans 1:24-32).  Let there be no doubt that this has been fulfilled in our time—in fact in only the last few years.  A domino effect across the world has led to dozens of countries legalizing gay marriage, an official endorsement of sin not even seen in Sodom.  Even the United Nations has effectively endorsed gay marriage and homosexual behavior, as well as transgenderism.  Media of all kinds is inundated with it and world leaders promote it as normal, healthy behavior.  Anyone opposed is labeled a 'bigot' and a 'hater' even though true love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth (1 Corinthians 13:6).

6. There is an actual proto-global government in the form of the United Nations, which appears to be strengthening rapidly as globalist world leaders eradicate their borders and cultures in the face of an onslaught of Islamic migration and anti-nationalist media.  A whole slew of supporting global institutions (e.g. IMF, World Bank, BIS, ICJ, WTO) and international agreements (Law of the Sea Treaty, Paris Agreement, etc) have arrested control from nation-states on countless issues.  There has not been anything remotely close to a global government since the time of the Tower of Babel in Genesis 11.  This fulfills the requirement of a number of scriptures such as Revelation 13:7 and will surely be used by the antichrist during his ascendance to power.

7. The stage is set for the Mark of the Beast as described in Revelation 13:16-17.  The technology, infrastructure, and economic motivation for implementation all exist and widespread social acceptance of such a system is perhaps only a year or two away.

8. Broadband, satellites, TV, and internet live feeds fulfill the requirement that the inhabitants of the earth witness the events of Revelation 11 in regards to the prophetic ministry of the two witnesses.

9. The world is unsustainable.  For those with eyes to see, it is obvious that the world has reached a climactic moment with no obvious way out except by divine providence.  Global debt and liabilities that can never be paid back, interest rates that cannot go any lower nor higher without triggering collapse, nuclear disasters that are polluting the entire global ecosystem and can never be cleaned up (Fukushima, Chernobyl, Washington State, etc), peak oil, mass animal extinctions, unprecedented nuclear weapon proliferation, population growth, peak fresh water supply, etc.

10. Unprecedented mass animal deaths, which appear to have begun in force in 2010 in fulfillment of Hosea 4:1–3.

11. Signs in the sun, moon, and stars in fulfillment of Luke 21:25.  More of these possible signs here, here, and here.

12. Global pandemics wrought by globalization (Ebola, Zika, Measles, Hepatitis C, Bird Flu, Swine Flu, AIDS, Yellow Fever, COVID-19, etc) and record-breaking hurricanes and cyclones in fulfillment of Luke 21:11 ("pestilences" and the "sea and the waves roaring").  Also a significant rise in the number of earthquakes of all sizes and in many places that have little-to-no history of seismic activity (Oklahoma and North Texas, the U.S. Midwest, New England and Mid-Atlantic, parts of Europe, the Middle East, etc) in fulfillment of Mark 13:8 and Matthew 24:7.

13. The Six-Day War and the 1967 Israeli conquest of Jerusalem paved the way for Christ's return.  The Bible is clear that Jesus will reign on the throne of David for one thousand years (see Revelation 20 and Ezekiel 40 on).  David's "shelter" was in ruins for two millennia and controlled by the Gentiles.  Not anymore (see Amos 9:11).  Jews are now living all over Jerusalem and more are streaming to it every day, which fulfills Zechariah 8:7-8.

14. Israel has become more prosperous than at any time before and the country, a desolation for two thousand years, is now flourishing.  This fulfills Ezekiel 36:11, Isaiah 41:18-20, and Isaiah 27:6.

15. Jesus said He would not visit Israel again until its people recognized that He came from God (Matthew 23:39).  The early Church was primarily Gentile because the Jewish people largely rejected Christ as their Messiah in fulfillment of Romans 11:25 and Acts 15:14-16.  But in just the last few decades there has been an explosion of faith among the Jews with thousands turning to Yeshua.  There are some 300,000 Messianic Jews now, and hundreds of thousands more are turning to God through Messianic ministries such as Jews for Jesus, Chosen People Ministries, IMetMessiah.com, and others.  Truly there are now hundreds of thousands of Jewish people who declare of Jesus Christ: "Blessed is He who come in the name of the LORD."

16. Israel is ready to build the Third Temple with just a moment's notice and it has taken many, many years to get to this point.  The architectural plans are finished, actual descendants of Aaron have been identified for priestly service and trained, a temple service training school has already been established, the temple's altar has been rebuilt, the temple's cornerstone has been cut and is ready for installation, and the priestly garments and artifacts are ready for use.  God does not bring to the very point of delivery and then not deliver (Isaiah 66:9).

17. A spirit of lawlessness covers the land in fulfillment of Daniel 8:23, 2 Timothy 3:1-7, and 2 Thessalonians 2:6-7.  As Isaiah 5:20 says, the world calls what is good "evil" and what is evil "good."  Though every human being since Adam (except Christ) has been a sinner, the current generation has taken their fallen state to a whole new level and is actively fighting against any form of moral restraint whatsoever.  Murder, homosexuality, obscenity, transgenderism, and sorcery are not only encouraged, but actually state-sanctioned around the world.

18. We are at the very end of the sixth day of the Millennial Week.  God created the universe in six days and then rested on the seventh day (Exodus 20:11) and it has been noticed by many dozens of biblical scholars that this pattern appears to apply to the whole history of mankind.  This teaching is not new—it was actually taught in the early Church and even the Jewish Talmud indicates that this is likely God's plan.  Adding up the ages given in the Old Testament genealogies shows that about 4,000 years transpired between Adam and Christ and from Christ's first coming to our day has been another 2,000 years.  Revelation 20 describes a 1,000 year reign of Christ over the whole earth at the end of history, so when you put the pieces together there have been 6,000 years of mankind striving and an imminent 1,000 year Sabbath where mankind enters God's rest.

19. The world is attempting to divide God's covenant land Israel in half (via the "Two-State Solution"), which is the event that the Bible describes as the catalyst for God's coming judgment on all the nations (Joel 3:2).  This division of land is supported by all major nations and the United Nations itself—literally all the nations are attempting to sever Israel from Judah, Samaria, Gaza, and the Golan Heights.  Amazingly, the Bible takes this prophecy a step further and indicates that the "boundary stone" the nations try to move will include Jerusalem (Zechariah 12:3), which is exactly what we see happening right now with the nations trying to steal East Jerusalem from the Jews.

20. Headlines are appearing every day showing how the world is on the cusp of fulfilling Isaiah 17 (the destruction of Damascus) and ultimately Ezekiel 38 and 39 (the War of Gog and Magog).  Damascus is on the verge of destruction already and any number of entities could finish the city off.  Simultaneously, several of the chief nations in Ezekiel 38 that come against Israel from the north have not only formed a military alliance, but are actually within the technical, biblical boundaries of northern Israel (which are within the current borders of southern Syria).  These nations include Russia (probably Magog) and Iran (Persia).  Ezekiel 38:13 indicates Gog and Magog come to take a spoil from Israel and interestingly that spoil is now evident to all—the massive oil and natural gas discoveries in northern Israel including in the Golan Heights that major gas and oil exporters Russia and Iran covet.

  2. # 18 in much more detail: This is a four week study that I believe is scripturally sound and I believe is from the Lord. I shared this at Lighthouse Wesleyan Church in Wayland NY in the month of September of 2015 - I call it The Week Of Human History. It is my desire to share the truth of this teaching with as many people as possible. Please feel free to share it! - It's a study of how God used the 7 days of creation as a model of the work that He is performing with mankind offering salvation for a period of 7000 years (7 days). AKA the 7 days of salvation -God is using a period of 6000 years for mankind to labor and a one thousand year period of rest under the Messiah (The millennial period found in the Book of Revelation 20:1-7 that I like to call the Millennial Sabbath). 2nd Peter 3:8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.------ Does the Bible give a general period of time in which Jesus will return that will still be in harmony with the truth of the passage that teaches that no man knows the day or hour of His return as given in Mark 13:35? Did well known leaders of the early church support the teaching of this truth? You will find the answers to these questions in this study. The answers you seek to some of the questions you may have about the Lords return are found in this study!! Of course, I can't give the day and hour of His return yet you will find out during the course of this study that there is more to understanding this teaching than most people have been led to understand ---I believe that this study will lead you to see clearly that Christ is coming back around 2000 years (2 days) from His ascension to heaven! - I am sure that some of you have never heard the majority of what is taught in this study before- This is a VERY interesting study and well worth the 4 hours it will take to hear it all -but please- listen to all four videos from the beginning (week one) so that you can get the foundation of the teaching to help you truly understand - I believe that the answers that we all seek have been there in Gods Word all along and also that the Lord is now increasing that knowledge in these last days (Daniel 12:4)! God Bless YOU in your search to understand His Word! - I have also put together a chart to help you with the study- there is a link to bring up the chart on each of the YouTube pages: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijwlC64b8bU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4McDMseeKII https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_FlSK11Iws https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McneHbZY3lE

    2. Hello, I just watched your teaching "The Week of Human History" which you did in 2015. Thank you very much for recommending it. Also I am sure you are as we are really ready and waiting for Jesus even more than ever based on how much that has occurred since you did this study. Well... blessings and Maranatha.

    1. For that matter, let president Trump become your Savior since He is a good Christian president. Sound reasonable? Good!

    2. See this is exactly where ignorant people step in and sound very foolish. No one is saying to make President Trump the savior. Although he is a good man and is being used by God for his purposes. Only JESUS can be our Savior ! President Trump is not perfect, HOWEVER he is certainly trying his very best to do what he feels is best for the Country and its people. He loves America. God knows this. He is a very hard worker and is becoming INCREASINGLY DEPENDENT ON GOD ! He is a wise man and knows when he needs to ask God for wisdom! God has his protection on him AND GOD BLESSES HIM because he truly loves Israel !!

  7. In regard to #16: I have heard from Jewish people who know about such things that it will take 3.5 years to rebuild the temple. It's not just a construction project--a lot of purification rituals have to be done and must be done at certain times, a fact most Gentiles are unaware of. Yes, they could slap it up in a matter of months...even weeks. But that doesn't matter. According to knowledgeable Jews, it'll take 3.5 years. Period.

Feel free to read whatever you will into that length of time. =8o

  8. hi Gary

have you had the chance to read some of Joel Richardsons material on the AC being muslim, and likely from Turkey (also identified as Magog). Some very interesting information that is hard to refute.

    1. I watched one of his discussions on the topic. Pretty persuasive stuff. I'm definitely open to the possibility, so long as that AC comes from an Islamic area that once belong to the ancient Roman Empire (i.e. Turkey or Syria, especially). A Turkish antichrist makes a lot of sense, but I'm not sold on it just yet.

    2. What is also very interesting about the Turkey theory is if you Google Turkeys president in many pictures he looks like he could be Hitler's twin brother, just a thought.

  10. Love your stuff Gary but got a laugh out of "peak oil" under #9. Fracking has done to that theory what the DVD did to VHS. The US has enough oil and "fossil" fuels for something like 75 years. Oh and speaking of oil, you know there is a competing theory about where oil comes from and that theory is called abiotic oil - oil that comes from non-living sources. Plenty of scientists state that the earth produces oil and from what I read, there is no definitive answer when dogmas are put aside. Anyway... yeah... just my $.02 for the day.

  11. I was born in the 80s and 90s era. Raised in a Christian home and a Christian environment. As a child, as with many children, we are told what it will be like when we become adults. Go to college or technical school, go to work, get married, have children etc. Now, I was taught the book of Revelation and to remember to be ready. I understood those things. However, I have since childhood had this fear. I'm not proud of it, the Bible speaks against fears. But it wasn't a fear of going to heaven, not at all. It was a fear of being alive during either the beginnings of what we read in Revelation or actually get left behind. I have been working on my relationship with the Lord because I went through a backsliding period. As I am about to finish school, I am becoming very weary and afraid of what is going on. I work with children, disabled individuals and meet many families. I do not want to see any of them get killed in unspeakable ways. With threats of nuclear stuff, it frightens me. But I also pray to God, like Abraham, letting Him know that there are still people out there who are not joining the protests or doing harm to others. However, that is not my only fear. The other one is what happens to me and everyone I know in the coming years. I do want to get married, have kids, have my parents enjoy grandchildren etc. But, I am not even sure if any of this will happen. I know these are worldly things and the Heavenly things are what we should seek. My struggle is the fact of coming to terms of whether I will experience what many generations of people experienced in years past, or will I only be here just for a short period? I know that death comes to all and unexpected situations come like disease or getting shot etc. But what I am reading here is different from those. Friends of mine are currently getting married, I am currently seeking a loved one. Some family and friends are bringing children into the world as we speak. I have sometimes prayed this even though it sounds selfish. I have often prayed that the worst events will take place after my generation goes (When we hit 70+). Obviously my grandparents and parents will gone by then, but I have seen my generation get witnessed and come to Christ despite the stats saying many are leaving the church. I hope and pray we go through a revival period that lasts a little bit before the events come. I'm not angry at God, not at all. But I have asked God why I was born during this time period? I shouldn't though because God has a purpose for when we are born. So all I ask is prayer because these emotions are hard for me. Like I said, not afraid of Heaven, want to go there. I'm afraid of what is going to happen on Earth and to all the people I see whether it be family, friends, coworkers and strangers. I want to stay close to God, just the idea of join man's religions or atheism is terrible.

    3. It seems to me that you have the heart of the LORD towards human beings made in His image, not desiring that any should perish and all should come to repentance. Your words stayed with me and I have prayed for you and for my children who are about your age. It can be difficult to be ready to leave this life when we have not gotten to do all that we had hoped for; things that would bring glory to God. Nevertheless our times our in His hands and He will do all His pleasure. And one thing I know for certain is that as Paul wrote, all things work together for good to them that love the Master, and are called according to His purpose. So be of good cheer, Yeshua has overcome the world!

  12. It's true that the 7,000 year "week" is an idea held by reputable scholars, but I would be very careful about that "Is there a 6,000 year plan?" link. The author claims to be "Binitarian", iow, he is anti-Trinitarian, denying the person-hood of the Holy Spirit.

I must comment on the post by the young anonymous writer. I also have a 24 year old son who has made similar comments on not getting to live a full life here, missing out, etc... I get it I understand his words with all my heart. Its just hard for us to comprehend and explain what the 1000 year millennial reign with Jesus will be. What living forever without pain and suffering will be like. I have been praying to Father for the words of explanation I could be given to reach him and all younger generation with the same thoughts.... Blessings

  17. Well documented, thank you. It’s sad to see people commenting negatively or sarcastically but I get it, I too did that way when. We’re not offended. We just know their eyes have scales on them, they have not received the Holy Spirit so they are blinded to the Truth.

The temple will soon be built, Damascus is almost completely destroyed, Ezekiel 38 nations surrounding Israel, heightened anti-semitism, persecution of the Church, apostasy of the Church, rebellion, wasn’t Isaiah’s writing just found recently? It’s amazing how many things have been fulfilled and people STILL don’t believe or think it’s legit. Unreal.

  18. "But in just the last few decades there has been an explosion of faith among the Jews with thousands turning to Yeshua.

That's the true fullfilment of Matthiew about the fig tree:

Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. (Mat 24:32-34)

The fig tree (Israel) is becoming tender. The stony heart becomes tender flesh heart:

"And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh" (Jer. 11:19)

  21. There is another sign!
The dead rising on first fruits and going in Jerusalem!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Dead in Christ
According to the prophecy, the Christian Church will be given a supernatural "warning sign" 40 days prior to their escaping the wrath of God. The "warning sign" to watch for is called 'the dead in Christ rising' and it will occur on the Jewish Feast of First Fruits which is celebrated in the spring of the year.

In the Apostle Paul's first letter to the Church at Thessalonica, he told them that before the Rapture would occur an event would take place that would leave no doubt of the impending Rapture. He told them to watch for "the dead in Christ to rise first"!

    I Thes. 4:16
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.

This is an event that will mimic an event that took place at the time of Jesus' resurrection and is recorded in the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 27, and verses 52& 53.

    Matt 27:52,53
27:52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which were dead arose,

27:53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

Known dead people will be brought back to life in a 'spiritual' body and appear to living people in Jerusalem. That is the Gospel account of what happened the first time, and it is what Paul is empathically explaining to watch for this time.

Additionally the Gospel records, that after Jesus raised from the dead He remained on earth for 40 days and then He ascended into heaven. Paul is explaining that this is the same sequence of events that will take place at the time of the Rapture of the Church. He is demonstrating that the Ascension of Jesus into heaven is indisputably linked as a foreshadow to the Rapture of the Church. And, because the Church is called the Body of Christ this is said to be the 'Body of Christ' going up into heaven in both instances.

Paul is also saying that from the time the 'dead in Christ' raise from the dead this time, they will stay on earth for 40 days [just like their predecessors did in Matthew 27: 52,53] and then they will be Raptured along with those that are a live and waiting for the 40th day to arrive. The living are waiting for the 40th day because they knew the warning sign had taken place 40 days prior.

And lastly, Paul sets the timing for both the 'dead in Christ to rise' as well as the Rapture when he says that Jesus Christ rose from the dead on the Jewish Feast of First Fruits and ascended 40 days later. That interpolates into the 'dead in Christ' will rise this time on the Jewish Feast of First Fruits and the Rapture of the Church will happen 40 days later. And all that comes together to say that the WARNING SIGN for the Rapture of the Church is the 'dead in Christ' rising on First Fruits!

  23. So, here's my random thought as it's now 2020 and we're on high rapture alert...
What if God has just been keeping you-know-who off balance and 2016 had all the demonic hordes in place and ready to rumble but then Trump... His upset election in 2016 upset the ol' Apple cart so to speak. That would certainly explain why certain factions are so rabidly against him. Interestingly, those factions include many from the mainstream news, big tech, LGTPQRSF...or however they self-identify.... entertainment industry, BLM Inc, Pro-Choice people, and so on. I've said for a couple years that the hatred really seemed over the top, like they are possessed. And I think that's it. I am encouraged to see more and more people realizing that there's something bigger going on and perhaps it's time to reconsider voting patterns. They are the ones who still have a chance. It's like the rest are already gone.
Anyway, I appreciate all the info. I've been gathering info in my head but when I try to present it logically, my brain starts overheating because there's just so much! I end up sounding like I'm off my meds again... It's very helpful. Thank you again for all the work you've been doing. I am doing my best to get it out there too. See ya soon.

  24. The road signs have been there for years. I am one of those who wants to see the truth come out. I do not live in fear but I am not comfortable driving blindly. I want to know the why's of what is happening. Ask and you shall receive. This I can say for certain. Trump opened a can of worms and corruption is about to be exposed. Believe! Everything is taking place according to a great plan. Go within. You already know who you are, where you came from and where you will return. The veil is is about to be lifted.
