Unshaken, Unmoved and Unafraid

Isaiah 54 (NLT):
1 “Sing, O childless woman,
    you who have never given birth!
Break into loud and joyful song, O Jerusalem,
    you who have never been in labor.
For the desolate woman now has more children
    than the woman who lives with her husband,”
    says the Lord.
2 “Enlarge your house; build an addition.
    Spread out your home, and spare no expense!
3 For you will soon be bursting at the seams.
    Your descendants will occupy other nations
    and resettle the ruined cities.
4 “Fear not; you will no longer live in shame.
    Don’t be afraid; there is no more disgrace for you.
You will no longer remember the shame of your youth
    and the sorrows of widowhood.
5 For your Creator will be your husband;
    the Lord of Heaven’s Armies is his name!
He is your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel,
    the God of all the earth.
6 For the Lord has called you back from your grief—
    as though you were a young wife abandoned by her husband,”
    says your God.
7 “For a brief moment I abandoned you,
    but with great compassion I will take you back.
8 In a burst of anger I turned my face away for a little while.
    But with everlasting love I will have compassion on you,”
    says the Lord, your Redeemer.
9 “Just as I swore in the time of Noah
    that I would never again let a flood cover the earth,
so now I swear
    that I will never again be angry and punish you.
10 For the mountains may move
    and the hills disappear,
but even then my faithful love for you will remain.
    My covenant of blessing will never be broken,”
    says the Lord, who has mercy on you.
11 “O storm-battered city,
    troubled and desolate!
I will rebuild you with precious jewels
    and make your foundations from lapis lazuli.
12 I will make your towers of sparkling rubies,
    your gates of shining gems,
    and your walls of precious stones.
13 I will teach all your children,
    and they will enjoy great peace.
14 You will be secure under a government that is just and fair.
    Your enemies will stay far away.
You will live in peace,
    and terror will not come near.
15 If any nation comes to fight you,
    it is not because I sent them.
    Whoever attacks you will go down in defeat.
16 “I have created the blacksmith
    who fans the coals beneath the forge
and makes the weapons of destruction.
    And I have created the armies that destroy.
17 But in that coming day
    no weapon turned against you will succeed.
You will silence every voice
    raised up to accuse you.
These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord;
    their vindication will come from me.
    I, the Lord, have spoken!

Psalm 46 (NLT):
For the choir director: A song of the descendants of Korah, to be sung by soprano voices.
1 God is our refuge and strength,
    always ready to help in times of trouble.
2 So we will not fear when earthquakes come
    and the mountains crumble into the sea.
3 Let the oceans roar and foam.
    Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge! Interlude
4 A river brings joy to the city of our God,
    the sacred home of the Most High.
5 God dwells in that city; it cannot be destroyed.
    From the very break of day, God will protect it.
6 The nations are in chaos,
    and their kingdoms crumble!
God’s voice thunders,
    and the earth melts!
7 The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is here among us;
    the God of Israel is our fortress. Interlude
8 Come, see the glorious works of the Lord:
    See how he brings destruction upon the world.
9 He causes wars to end throughout the earth.
    He breaks the bow and snaps the spear;
    he burns the shields with fire.
10 “Be still, and know that I am God!
    I will be honored by every nation.
    I will be honored throughout the world.”
11 The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is here among us;
    the God of Israel is our fortress. Interlude

Psalm 33 (NASB):
1 Sing for joy in the Lord, O you righteous ones;
Praise is becoming to the upright.
2 Give thanks to the Lord with the lyre;
Sing praises to Him with a harp of ten strings.
3 Sing to Him a new song;
Play skillfully with a shout of joy.
4 For the word of the Lord is upright,
And all His work is done in faithfulness.
5 He loves righteousness and justice;
The earth is full of the lovingkindness of the Lord.
6 By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
And by the breath of His mouth all their host.
7 He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap;
He lays up the deeps in storehouses.
8 Let all the earth fear the Lord;
Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.
9 For He spoke, and it was done;
He commanded, and it stood fast.
10 The Lord nullifies the counsel of the nations;
He frustrates the plans of the peoples.
11 The counsel of the Lord stands forever,
The plans of His heart from generation to generation.
12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
The people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance.
13 The Lord looks from heaven;
He sees all the sons of men;
14 From His dwelling place He looks out
On all the inhabitants of the earth,
15 He who fashions the hearts of them all,
He who understands all their works.
16 The king is not saved by a mighty army;
A warrior is not delivered by great strength.
17 A horse is a false hope for victory;
Nor does it deliver anyone by its great strength.
18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him,
On those who hope for His lovingkindness,
19 To deliver their soul from death
And to keep them alive in famine.
20 Our soul waits for the Lord;
He is our help and our shield.
21 For our heart rejoices in Him,
Because we trust in His holy name.
22 Let Your lovingkindness, O Lord, be upon us,
According as we have hoped in You.

Even if Washington State, Oregon, California, Utah, Montana and South Dakota are burned to the ground, even if Mexico, India, Pakistan, Texas, Florida, Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina are washed into the sea and even if our enemies launch their most deadly weapons we will not be shaken for you are good and you are the God of Heaven and Earth.  All your purposes are true and all your ways are wise.

Thank you Lord that you are the Rock, the one whose arm is not too short, who knows the end from the beginning, the Unshakeable One, who does not shift and thank you Lord for your faithfulness, mercy and kindness towards us.

All your promises are true and as certain as the dawn.

Thank you that you hide us in the cleft of the rock and we are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.

In you we take refuge and in you we find peace and safety.

    1. apparently this has been happening for years, however fumigation and sound is not being successful for getting rid of them. I couldnt find any source where it noted whether or not this year was worse or better than previous years.

  6. Great selections, Greg! Keep the Faith!

  7. Dearest Gary and Brothers and Sisters in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, May our Matchless Mighty King overwhelm you all with His Blessings of Love. Thank you so much for sharing Gods truth with us and opening our eyes to the signs from our Loving Father. I have a loved one in prison and they do not have any exposure from outside sources to inform them on what has been surfacing in the outside world. I have been looking for websites (in text formats) which explains everything in detail as to "What's Happening" so I may share this with them via email.Do you have any suggestions please?

  9. If you haven't seen this, I strongly encourage you to take a look at this short piece from Anne Graham Lotz, pertaining to something that happened to Elijah in 1 Kings 19:

    I think she's on to something. Come Lord Jesus!

    1. Hey Greg! I'll check it out.

      We had to turn off anonymous commenting because of abuse. Now you have six registered options (Blogger, Wordpress, OpenID, etc) in addition to Facebook and Disqus. Most people use their Google account though.

  11. This evening will mark the end of Feast of Trumpets and the beginning of the Sabbath. This first Sabbath of the Civil New Year is called Shabbat Shuba and is the second of two special Sabbaths that bookend Passover and FoT. Shuba can be understood as "She returns" and is generally referred to as "Sabbath Return". It falls in the Days of Repentance with some seeing a linguistic connection between Shuba and Teshuva (repentance); thus is sometimes linked to repentance even though it is given as a time of inward cleansing.

    Ashkenazic readings for Shabbat Shuba are (Hosea 14:2-10) and (Joel 2:15-27). Sephardic readings are (Hosea 14:2-10) and (Micah 7:18-20).

    The first of the two special Sabbaths is Shabbat HaGadol. It fell on Saturday, April 8, 2017 -- SEVEN YEARS TO THE DAY BEFORE THE NEXT TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE OVER NORTH AMERICA ON 4/8/24.

    It looks like the last Trump will usher in the Sabbath of Her Return around noon Eastern time today.

    The Sign of Revelation 12 will rise over Jerusalem at 9:16am tomorrow morning (9/23/17) with the rising of the waxing crescent gibbous moon. The moon will be at meridian at 3:04pm and set at 8:47pm (Jerusalem time).

    ************** A SPECIAL NOTE AND REQUEST **************

    Please, join me in prayer today for those who have endured great loss and pain in the wake of the latest disasters in the Caribbean, Mexico and US. Their loss is very real and they need our prayers even in these final hours. May we also pray for those who will form the new Church that rises out of the Tribulation to come. Be it next week or in 100-years from now.

    Glory to G-D in the highest!

    Grace and peace to you,

    Pastor Rich
