LIVE UPDATES: Iran Attacks, Israel Launches Two Waves of Airstrikes

Iranian forces have launched 20 rockets into Israel's Golan Heights, hitting a number of military installations.  Israel is retaliating with full force against all Iranian forces in Syria and any Syrian government forces (SAA) that stand in the way.  We will be providing live updates.  Please stand by.

- - -

It's almost hard to believe we're witnessing the things we're witnessing.  Look what the three recently freed Americans handed to Vice President Mike Pence on the airport tarmac—a handwritten quote from Psalm 126.  Folks, Israel's 70th anniversary is just days away!

THE AFTERMATH: Less than a week before Israel's 70th anniversary, the IDF launched 70 missiles at Iranian and Syrian forces scattered throughout Syria.  Iranian infrastructure in Syria has been decimated.  Not only that, but the SAA's 4th Division has been severely crippled, as well as a significant portion of Syrian air defenses.  These were the largest Israeli airstrikes in Syria since the 1973 Yom Kippur War.  The United States and countries throughout Europe have all backed the Israeli response—and most significantly—Saudi Arabia and Bahrain have joined in, defending the Israeli attack.  This was a watershed moment in the Middle East, because Sunni Arab countries are now backing Israel, while Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas have become isolated almost overnight.  In light of these events, in addition to possible North Korean denuclearization (which will be addressed by Trump and Kim Jong-Un at a meeting in Singapore on June 12th), almost complete eradication of the Islamic State's caliphate, and a soon-to-be unveiled Middle East peace plan, some very significant prophecies could be in play here (thinking 1 Thess. 5:3, for example).

9:20 PM CST - Possible letup in hostilities for the time being.  The IDF is reporting that what happened tonight was two waves of large-scale airstrikes against Iranian forces in Syria.  They are claiming that upwards of 80% of IRGC and Iranian proxies' missiles, rocket launchers, and ammo have been destroyed in Damascus and Homs.

8:42 PM CST - Pentagon addresses Israel's military campaign: "Iran continues to threaten the United States and its allies and partners around the world."

8:40 PM CST - A Syrian air defense radar has been destroyed.

COMMENTARY: It looks like Israel is launching a full-scale military campaign to drive Iranian forces out of Syria.  After the cancellation of the JCPOA, the U.S. is giving Israel the go ahead and Iran is going to lose its entire Middle Eastern empire, including in Yemen in a very short time, if they don't get support from Russia and other players—or if they don't do something drastic to retaliate.

8:23 PM CST - Israel now targeting Syrian air defense battalions and radars throughout Damascus.

8:15 PM CST - Dozens of Israeli missiles shot down by Syrian air defenses.

8:10 PM CST - Very large explosion south of Homs (central-west Syria).

8:05 PM CST - Lebanese army reports four Israeli aircraft have crossed into Lebanese airspace.

8:00 PM CST - At least 30 Israeli missiles have struck military installations and the international airport in Damascus.

7:59 PM CST - An explosion has been reported in Metula, Northern Israel.  Residents urged to seek shelter immediately.

7:53 PM CST - More missiles have struck the Golan Heights.

7:30 PM CST - Damascus commercial tower has been struck by an unidentified projectile.

7:20 PM CST - Very large explosion just southwest of Damascus.  Probably from Israeli aircraft destroying a missile cache.

6:56 PM CST - U.S. State Department gets involved: "We support Israel's right to defend itself."

5:00 PM CST - Iranian forces launch 20 rockets/missiles at Israel's Golan heights targeting Israeli military base for electronic warfare, Israeli military base 9900 for intel gathering, Israeli military base for communication and spying center, and the military HQ of Israeli army position 810.  Some unknown number of these missiles were shot down by Iron Dome and Patriot missile defenses.

3:00 PM CST - Prime Minister Netanyahu arrives back in Israel after his trip to Moscow.

  6. ISRAELI DEFENSE MINISTER AVIGDOR LIBERMAN SAYS THAT ‘PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST WILL COME WITH THE COMING OF THE MESSIAH’

This is one of the most profound statements I have ever heard. With this said, it indicates (with all due respect), the Jews are watching for someone coming to bring peace...and not wailing like they just lost their first-born like they will when Jesus comes for the second time. The stage has been set, the props are in place, and the show has begun.

Meanwhile, I'm ready to board my flight...!

    God bless!

I found also this article about it: Jerusalem Post – Liberman: We hit almost all Iranian infrastructure in Syria: "“If Iran hits us with rain – we will hit them with a deluge,” the defense minister said hours after Israel struck Iranian targets in Syria. …" Maranatha!

    2. Very interesting the use of rain & deluge symbolism. Obviously the first thing to mind is "The Flood" and "As in the days of Noah". Just as in Jesus' day the unbelieving (so far) speak prophecy and are completely unaware. Blessings - Sherry

    4. Watchman378 very interesting, dear brother! Now if you look on the time stamp of this little clip you may notice how long the Talmudic cabal of Pharisees is already working with Netanyahu on this...

    5. Annabel, sometimes I'm sharp, sometimes I'm dense...I want to make sure I'm following you on that video timestamp: Are you pointing out that that was nearly 28 years ago, and at the time, (28 years ago) they were asking then to hasten the coming of their moschiach? (To imply—if their actions have brought about what has since occurred—how much further away could the Messiah's arrival possibly be?)

Or did I miss a numerical connection to something scriptural?

      😆

    6. Dear brother indeed this has been going on for a long time now. But we must understand these events are a) planned from the Talmudic Rabbis by taking the bible as their storyboard and b) simultaneously fitting into the plan of God from the beginning as He is fully in control of all this. It is intriguing how Netanyahu STILL is in charge after 28 years to execute this plan. God had him ordained to win the election in 2015 for a fourth term now, being the first PM in Israel elected 3 times in a row and with second longest-serving time as PM after Ben Gurion. If he accomplishes his presidency he will be the longest-serving in Israel: and this despite all the quarrel about his corruption scandals. These events are "intertwined" you know - Satan is currently taking the bible as a 'textbook' to fulfill what is written in there what God wrote through His servants would happen exactly by foreknowledge because He controls the hearts of men without them noticing (Proverbs 21:1).

  12. Sorry to be THAT person but wasn't the 70year celebration of Israel on April 18-21? I truly don't understand why we put emphasis on certain dates as to our Lords coming. I follow your site alot and there's times when I find myself wanting to type in my opinion but refrain. There's so much more to come before as many say "we fly" let's pray for the world for souls including our loved ones to be saved. Let's cut the fear mongering and date setting. All love

    2. Yazlynn b, Regrettably this comment as well as your post on the earlier thread make it abundantly clear that you are out of your depth here, a babe spitting out meat and wailing for the bottle to be given back, or a wolf in sheep's clothing intentionally and deceptively sowing doubt, discord and negativity. I see others are engaging the specifics of your post but I seriously doubt it is stated from ignorance and would say it is a backward spirit at work.

      Delete
    3. @jimboni and this is precisely why I refrained for so long to comment. I am not here to cause a spirit of division and most definitely do not speak out of ignorance. I just don't agree with you all on certain topics but does that make me less of a saved serving Christian? We are all on the same team and I've noticed when someone doesn't agree with the post or etc they are jumped on. Theres no need to get abrasive I thought this was an open forum to post their opinions. We can't all be wired the same way because the Lord made each and every one of us to think and speak differently. So someone doesn't agree that makes me as you say"wolf in sheep's clothing intentionally sowing doubt, discord and negativity" not me at all! On the contrary I'm here to just speak that I don't believe in pretrib teaching that's all. I'll pray for you and will not your rude uncourteous comments sway me . We all serve one mighty king and I only answer to my Lord. God bless

    4. @gary because it seems like you justify certain dates and world news to fit what you believe is biblical. I think it's a little over the top. It is fear mongering for the person who doesn't know Jesus it's scary. But we are tasked to love everyone through it and not scare them. While we are in scary times it doesn't give us license to scare people either. It seems everyday your posts are more and more extreme. What's going to happen when your next 2 projected dates come and go and more people become disappointed just like the September 23rd date. I'm just concerned your doing more harm than good . Let's pray for the world and post more encouraging topics than fear.

      Delete
    5. The world is staring down the barrel of judgment and the only way of escape is Christ. The encouragement is that there is a free way of escape and we loudly trumpet that in a variety of ways. This particular website, though, was designed to follow and blog on prophetic events as they happen. If that bothers you, please don't feel forced to read.

But we will continue to preach, study, and blog on these topics.

I do hear your point, by the way, about dates, but please hear mine: please don't falsely accuse your brothers and sisters in Christ. THAT'S what causes the real damage. I've made no "projections" about specific dates in relation to when the rapture will happen. I've speculated, but have ALWAYS been very, very clear that I don't know for sure. I've never presented this material as anything but that.

And regarding May dates, they are significant, but I don't know if that significance includes the rapture or not. All I know and all I've said is that the 70th anniversary of Israel's rebirth is this month (the 14th, 17th, or 21st depending on the calendar). That's not datesetting prophecy, that's just a fact. And it would seem to be significant.

I still stand by 9/23 as do many of the fellow watchers who have been watchful and studious with me. What that was was the GREAT SIGN foretold in Rev. 12:1-2a. It was (and still is) a major wake up call to us all, so may I never take my eyes off Heaven and join in with these that the LORD warned about:

"But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’ and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. 50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." - Matt. 24:48-51

    6. Yazylynn, the post are more and more extreme because they reflect the world news and the world has-is becoming more and more extreme. And while we do hope we have unsaved people visit these sites the MAJORITY of lookers are saved and probably have a pretty good grasp of end time events anyway. We are standing on the edge of eternity for the age of grace and if U can't realize that then U are not looking. BUT, as for the scare tactics if that's what will get people saved now ,then so be it. Because I promise U this, there will be MILLIONS that once the tribulation starts the scare tatic WILL work, only they'll have to die by the antichrist to make heaven.

  13. Yazlynn- I’m pretty sure that we are all praying for the world and the souls of the lost, including our loved ones. There is no fear mongering or date setting going on here, rather an alertness and a fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ our Lord. Remember, 1 Thessalonians 5:9.

  14. Hi Yazlynn b

May 14th, 1948 is the day of Israel's independence on our (Gregorian) calendar. April 18-21 is the day that is celebrated on the Hebrew calendar. The number of days in a year are not the same on both calendars. That's the difference. If you ask someone here in the US 'how many days are there in a year?' you'll probably hear '365'. That's not the case on the Hebrew calendar. It's '360'. That's probably the difference.

Please explain what more is there to come before "we fly". What else has to happen? I'm learning that the Rapture is a 'signless' event, and nothing else has to happen. The signs we now see are seeing tell us that events that will happen AFTER the Rapture are beginning to become apparent. We can see the 'set up'. The geopolitical alignments and posturing, geological events, the growth of rampant sinless behavior, and many other signs are telling us that the post-rapture prophecies are at our doorstep.

As far as 'fear mongering and date setting'.... I just don't see it that way. With true believers, there should be ZERO fear in observing and discussing the nearness of our Savior's return. He is our blessed hope! Nothing for us to fear! As far as unbelievers are concerned, I just hope they are indeed concerned. They should be. If they hear the truth, and it scares them into believing, that's great. Whatever it takes to get them to say "Yes" to Jesus at this late, late hour.

As far as 'date setting', I hear that all the time. The truth is, no one on this site, in fact, no one on this earth can 'set the date' for His return. The date is already set. God set it. We can not re-set it! It will be what He says it will be! We can think, wish, speculate, discuss, hope, analyze or guess what day it might be...but we can't set the date. I can not find one (1) scripture that tells us not to think or talk about a specific date. Is there one? In fact, I believe the Bible instructs us to 'watch for that day'! Most of us here will continue to watch for 'that day' and try to wait patiently as we occupy and labor in the fields to 'harvest' as many lost souls as possible. If I thought there would be another 1000 or even 100 years before His return, I might just get lazy! That is what is 'not a good thing'.

Once again I ask, 'what is more to come before we fly'. I'd love to know!

    Thanks,
    Just Learning

  18. INTERESTING DETAILS:

More news is coming out on the exchange this past week in the ME. I thought I would share a couple,

Quoting above, "8:40 PM CST - A Syrian air defense radar has been destroyed."

    https://theaviationist.com/2018/05/10/the-israeli-air-force-has-just-released-a-video-of-a-pantsir-s1-air-defense-system-being-struck-in-last-night-attack-in-syria/

This is a site that has interesting reporting on matters of International military avation. The opening photo is of a Russian built Pantsir-S1 Air Defense System - one of their topline products. This is likely the unit that got smacked that you mentioned above Gary.

Video of the engagement is available online and provided on this page. (Viewer Discretion Advised) The weapon most likely used here is the TV guided Delilah Air-to-Surface cruise missile. The article goes into detail on the missile, but if you watch the video you can see the launcher is truck mounted. The unit is NOT active or in action. Just parked. A small group of what I assume to be the crew is standing to the left of the frame. ONE OF THEM RUNS BACK TO THE TRUCK BEFORE THE MISSILE STRIKE. He is last seen starting to run away again as the missile detonates.

It's a ringside seat to watching the death of several fellow human beings and, sadly, just the beginning of what we fear to come.

These guys were caught unaware. This is consistent with other reports that Syrian defences were caught with their guard down. Providence? The will of G-d or just poor communication? All the tech in the world will not save you from the coming wrath.

Another interesting article from BBC that I recommend,

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-43981745
    The Young Turks Rejecting Islam

I also see the AVIATIONIST reporting that TURKEY's first F-35 LIGHTNING II stealth fighter has made it's maiden flight.

    https://theaviationist.com/2018/05/11/turkeys-first-f-35a-lightning-ii-stealth-aircraft-makes-maiden-flight/

    What?!

    Really?!!

Anyone who has been following the news here lately will understand my emphasis and meaning.

Keep watch. Stay awake and keep pouring on the prayer for the lost.

  19. It seems that there is a lull in the skirmish between Iran and Israel. I'm not sure what the game is being played by Putin. My question is about Ezekiel 38:4-11; what coming event will puts the hooks in the jaws and bring the armies back full force (mainly Russia)? Also the unwalled villages could it be the wilderness (Petra, Tafilah, Jordan area Isaiah 63:1 ) that the Jewish people go to as suggested by S. Douglas Woodward? Anyone care to elaborate.

  21. Good one. 'probably' just jews according to scriptures. Personally, I lean more pre-trib and can understand the arguments for that position. But, I can also understand others being not pre-trib. There are so many different ways to interpret those passages. For every article we read by gary, jeff and others on this matter, there are many other believers who interpret it differently. I can't understand why God made it so unclear and hard to decipher were you have many christians who are at odds with each other. It's like a bad game show were contestants are trying to 'guess' the right answer but are 'wrong' most of the time.
