Agenda 2030: The Covenant With Many?

The United Nations, in concord with key world leaders, is calling for "7 Years of Accelerated, Transformative Action" per an article released on June 13th. If you can imagine, this has caught the attention of students of Bible prophecy. Integral to the biblical end-times scenario is a seven-year period of global judgment and devastation called the Tribulation or Daniel's 70th Week. This seven-year period is demarcated by a certain agreement ("covenant") that is strengthened for a duration of seven years. The seven-year period is bisected by the "Abomination of Desolation," a blasphemous event in which the Antichrist declares himself to be God in Jerusalem. This event is followed by three and a half years of Great Tribulation, which Jesus says will be the worst time in human history (Mt. 24:21). This period of catastrophic judgment will conclude with Jesus' physical return to earth (Rev. 19).

The basis for the seven-year Tribulation is found in the first half of Daniel 9:27:

And he [the Antichrist described in v. 26] has strengthened a covenant with many [for] one period of seven . . . (LSV)

Given that the prophet Daniel describes the Abomination as occurring in the middle of the Tribulation period (Dan. 9:27b; 11:31; 12:11), and Jesus directly affirms the connection of the Abomination to the subsequent Great Tribulation (Mt. 24:15, 21), the seven years can be deduced from not only Jesus' teaching, but also the Book of Revelation (Rev. 11:2–3; 12:6, 13–17). In other words, Daniel 9 explicitly affirms the looming seven years, and Jesus affirms it through deduction in both the Olivet Discourse and the Book of Revelation. Furthermore, numerous biblical patterns point to the seven-year length of the Tribulation. You can be sure these future seven years are coming, and they're coming soon.

Dissecting the excerpt from Daniel 9:27 above, we notice five key details:

1. "He": The antecedent of the pronoun "he" is none other than the "prince who is to come" whose people "destroy the city and the sanctuary" in verse 26. This is the Antichrist.

2. "Strengthened": The Antichrist doesn't necessarily create or establish a new agreement; rather, he strengthens an existing agreement. The grammar here is clear.

3. "Covenant": A covenant is an agreement, usually enacted with the shedding of blood (although not always).

4. "Many": The agreement that the Antichrist strengthens is "with many." This "many" is not explicitly defined in the text, although "many" has the sense of many people, nations, etc.

5. "Seven": The agreement is strengthened for a period of seven years.

Now other seven-year agreements have surfaced from time to time, including the European Neighbourhood Partnership Instrument (ENPI) which involved Israel and initially ran from January 2007 to December 2013 (and was subsequently renewed). More recently, Pope Francis launched a seven-year plan in 2021 called Laudato si'. Yet these plans, both of which have been proposed by some as fulfilling Daniel 9:27, suffered from inadequacies in one form or another. The former was not for a single seven-year period, but has been renewed on an ongoing basis. The latter has various seven-year periods overlapping, based on when individual ecclesiastical communities initiated their Laudato si' programs. In both instances, the plans were not strengthening existing agreements, nor were they particularly notable.

Now Agenda 2030 enters the ring. It was initially signed during the 70th session of the United Nations on September 25, 2015, just three days before the "Super Blood Moon" which was the last of the blood moons in the 2014–15 tetrad; it occurred on the first day of Sukkot (Tabernacles). You can view and/or download the original agreement by clicking this link here. Below is the Preamble.

First, notice that this agreement is not just from a particular region (like the ENPI) or sect (Laudato si'). It was enacted by the General Assembly of the United Nations, representing all the countries of the world. It isn't nuanced or particular—it's a dramatic plan of action for the entire world, touching virtually every aspect of human life. The goal is essentially a utopian future—"heaven on earth," if you will—where extreme poverty is completely eradicated, health care is available to all, gender equality is fully achieved, the environment is protected, economies are made "sustainable," and every man, woman, and child on the face of the earth is ID'd (see pg. 25). These, in addition to dozens of other dramatic, utopian goals are listed on pages 14–27 of the plan.

Second, notice in the Preamble, under paragraph #2, how this agreement is a promise ("will implement") of "all countries and all stakeholders." A promise is more than a plan. It is a binding contract—a covenant. This is the very definition of "a covenant with many."

Third, this covenant contains the most dramatic verbiage possible: "Transforming our world," "strengthen universal peace," "eradicating poverty in all its forms," "greatest global challenge," "free the human race," "heal and secure our planet," "determined to take the bold and transformative steps . . . to shift the world," "this collective journey," "no one will be left behind," and "critical importance for humanity and the planet." It is billed as a sort of globalist Gettysburg Address or Magna Carta. It is easy to see this as a Babylonian "Final Solution" ushering in the new age and a new world order. Indeed, globalist leaders the world over are diligently working to accomplish the goals outlined in this binding covenant.

And now, with scarcely a mention among mainstream sources, the United Nations and key stakeholders are planning to accelerate and strengthen this covenant with many for a period of seven years starting this fall at the SDG Summit 2023 so that the goals, which are now falling behind, can be achieved by 2030. The summit will be held from September 18–19, shortly after Rosh Hashanah (September 15–17).

As outlined in great detail last fall, a seven-year Shmita cycle either began then or is about to begin this September. In other words, there is a biblically-mandated seven-year period running from 2022 to 2029 or 2023 to 2030. With 2022 behind us, 2023 suddenly looks much more likely. 2023 is also one of the four likeliest years for the rapture and onset of Daniel's 70th Week.

If Agenda 2030 is the underlying covenant that gets strengthened for seven years, it is interesting to note some of the prophecy and Bible-related words contained within the word "Agenda":

END

AGE

And then two tribes of Israel:

DAN

GAD

These two tribes are listed together in Genesis 49:16–19 and Deuteronomy 33:20–22. Dan is of course the unmentioned tribe in Revelation 7.

Dan is also the abbreviation for Daniel, from which we get the seven-year covenant. This is all predicated on the final generation. The abbreviation for generation is "gen," which is also contained in "agenda."

"Agenda":

Age = the age is complete

Gen = the final generation is over

Dan = Daniel's prophecy is here

End = the end has come

Could this "seven years of accelerated, transformative action" in fact be the fulfillment of Daniel 9:27? If you have eyes to see, then keep those eyes wide open.

  3. IS THE UN’S PROPOSED SEVEN-YEAR PLAN PROPHETICALLY SIGNIFICANT?(Jonathan Brentner)
The UN recently announced that they need “7 Years of Accelerated, Transformative Action to Achieve SDGs.” The SDGs are the seventeen “Sustainable Development Goals” that the UN put in place eight years ago through which they intend to establish a one-world government.

Below is a quote from the UN’s website regarding the upcoming summit during which they hope the leaders of the world will commit to a seven-year initiative to achieve all their SDGs:

The SDG Summit, in September 2023, must signal a genuine turning point. It must mobilize the political commitment and breakthroughs our world desperately needs. It must deliver a rescue plan for people and planet.

At the center of this rescue plan, Heads of State and Government must recommit to seven years of accelerated, sustained, and transformative action, both nationally and internationally, to deliver on the promise of the SDGs. Leaders can show their resolve by adopting an ambitious and forward-looking political declaration at the SDG Summit and presenting global and national commitments for SDG transformation.

Is the fact that the globalists of our day are thinking in terms of “seven years” prophetically significant?

Those who believe that the seventy weeks of Daniel 9:24-27 remain relevant for our day would answer “yes.” They teach that the last week of seven years, as the prophet describes in 9:27, awaits a future fulfillment.

So is the UN’s seven-year initiative prophetically significant? Yes, it is! We must not overlook the fact that the globalists of our day are thinking in terms of a seven-year commitment to their objectives. This is relevant not only because the seventieth week of Daniel’s prophecy remains unfulfilled, but also because of the convergence of a great many signs pointing to the nearness of the seven-year Tribulation.

  4. Here is the current draft of the strengthened agreement to be revealed this September:

    LINK

Assuming Agenda 2030 is the actual covenant, the draft above will be overseen by the Antichrist himself and will be given "teeth" post-rapture to achieve the goals.

  5. Some interesting notes from the original Agenda 2030 agreement:

"New Agenda" is mentioned 13 times. "New Age."

"Peace and security" is explicitly mentioned twice: Pg. 9, paragraph 35.

"Peace" is mentioned in Preamble paragraph 1 and "secure" is mentioned in paragraph 2.

Hat tip to Gaia on pg. 13: "Mother Earth" in paragraph 59.

The universal right to abortion is more or less promised in paragraph 26 (pg. 7) and pg. 16, paragraph 3.7.

  6. Some notable quotes from the agreement:

    "The new Agenda

    18. We are announcing today 17 Sustainable Development Goals with 169 associated targets which are integrated and indivisible. Never before have world leaders pledged common action and endeavour across such a broad and universal policy agenda. We are setting out together on the path towards sustainable development, devoting ourselves collectively to the pursuit of global development and of “win-win” cooperation which can bring huge gains to all countries and all parts of the world."

"52. 'We the peoples' are the celebrated opening words of the Charter of the United Nations. It is 'we the peoples' who are embarking today on the road to 2030. Our journey will involve Governments as well as parliaments, the United Nations system and other international institutions, local authorities, indigenous peoples, civil society, business and the private sector, the scientific and academic community – and all people. Millions have already engaged with, and will own, this Agenda. It is an Agenda of the people, by the people and for the people – and this, we believe, will ensure its success.

    53. The future of humanity and of our planet lies in our hands. It lies also in the hands of today’s younger generation who will pass the torch to future generations. We have mapped the road to sustainable development; it will be for all of us to ensure that the journey is successful and its gains irreversible."

Paragraph 52 sure sounds like the very definition of the "many."

Paragraph 53 sounds like the collective playing God.

"71. We reiterate that this Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals and targets, including the means of implementation, are universal, indivisible and interlinked."

In other words, the means justify the ends and every part of the covenant is binding.

Reading through this thing, its 35 pages basically reads like one long list of every possible great thing for humanity. It's like a false Millennial Kingdom.

Final words of Agenda 2030 in the main body reaffirm this as a binding covenant:

"We reaffirm our unwavering commitment to achieving this Agenda and utilizing it to the full to transform our world for the better by 2030."

  7. We always wondered what timing hints, if any, might have been contained in the Rev. 12 Sign (9/23/17). How about this super simple one:

    9/23/17

[20]23 = year of rapture and start of Trib

2[0]3[0] = year of Second Coming and end of Trib

    ------------

    Interesting reversal:

    9/23/17 = R12S

9/17/23 = Feast of Trumpets + day before SDG Summit where Agenda 2030 will be confirmed and strengthened.

Between the dates = 5 years, 11 months, 25 days. Hat tip to Rev. 12:5.

    ------------

"9/23/17" fully contained in Agenda 2030:

    Agenda = 9 (6 letters: upside-down 9)

    2030 = 23

    Plan has 17 goals = 17

    ------------

So the R12 Sign perhaps identified: 1. The year of the rapture and second coming (2023, 2030), and 2. The covenant with death??

  8. Thank you VERY much for this apposite article, Gary!

Your Comment above gets right to the point: "Assuming Agenda 2030 is the actual covenant, the draft above will be overseen by the Antichrist himself and will be given "teeth" post-rapture to achieve the goals."

Looks like "...we could be looking up into the eyes of our Lord and Savior at the Resurrection and Rapture no later than this autumn of 2023" as I wrote in JULY–AUGUST 2023 Everything is About to Change

  9. It's possible, but we need to remember that the Tribulation is for 2,520 days, using the jewish calendar, not 7 years under the Gregorian calendar. For that reason I'm skeptical that this covenant with many is originated in the gentile world.

I think it's possible the covenant with many isn't some kind of international treaty, but an election. Something I very rarely see mentioned is that the president of Israel serves a 7 year term. It's also not exactly 7 years under the Gregorian calendar. The last three presidents of Israel served for 2,540, 2,566 and 2,525 days. Under the Israeli system, if the presidency is vacant for any reason, a new election is held for a 7 year term; it's not like the American system where there's a VP who finishes the rest of the term.

If this covenant with many is an election of a man to Israel's presidency, it would also fulfill John 5:43.

    1. One more thing to consider. We can reasonably guess that the Second Coming occurs on the Feast of Trumpets. In 2030, that falls on September 28. Working backwards 2,520 days brings you to 11/4/23. It would be very awkward to write an international treaty with beginning and end dates like that.

  10. Could the Covenant with the many also be the Deal of the Century which former president Trump released back in 2020 just before Covid-19 just started to wreak havoc all over the world?

  11. Keep a close watch on the political developments within the EU and the NATO, because the antichrist will come from that union. The coming elections of the European Parliament in May 2024 could be a great opportunity for him coming to power.

    Daniel 7:19-20 (KJV):

    19 Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet;

20 And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.

    Revelation 17:12-13 (KJV):

12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

The fourth beast is the Old Roman Empire and the 10 horns are 10 kings from the Revived Roman Empire. I think that is very likely that the antichrist will come to power during the elections for the European Parliament in May 2024. And these 10 kings who will give their power to the beast, could very well be 10 Euro commissioners who will receiver their power just after these elections. Or these 10 kings are 10 prime ministers or presidents of newly formed governments which could be formed during the period between the Rapture and the start of the Tribulation Period. After the Rapture there will be so much chaos in Europe, causing various European governments to fail and to be replaced by new governments which will form the 10 kings alliance.

  12. This is certainly an interesting development. To address timing concerns, I'm not sure that the summit would be where individual counties would ratify/confirm their commitments to this agreement. It's possible this IS the covenant, but that Israel doesn't formally act on it until November.

Whether this "is it" or not, we can only wait and see, but I think the sheer level of overwhelming different converging factors are making it very plausible. And, if it's not this year, it almost feels like a crescendo is happening, where each year has more reasons to consider it than the last. And one of these times, it will be the final year, why not this year?

I'll add that the one thing that doesn't seem to be falling neatly into place for this being the final year is the 10 kingdom system. People have pointed to BRICS, but I have some reservations about that, as it doesn't seem to neatly fit the iron mixed with clay (which seems like it should be significantly Roman Empire mixed with another incompatible set of nations, since the iron was identifiedas the Roman Empire), and BRICS doesn't seem to have that mix. Again, we wait to see.

  15. GARY--As I am in the midst of a family reunion this week, I haven't had a chance to read the entire Agenda--

    IS ISRAEL OR PALESTINE MENTIONED?

I'm asking because (as you know) Israel is central to the Daniel 9:27 covenant. If the Agenda 2030 agreement is THE Daniel 9 covenant that will be confirmed by the Antichrist, wouldn't Israel be mentioned? Or perhaps the Agenda 2030 covenant is to establish the central authority of a WORLD GOVERNMENT in preparation for the A/C to have the authority to modify Israel's land?

As you quoted above from the agreement:
"We reaffirm our unwavering commitment to achieving this Agenda and utilizing it to the full to transform our world for the better by 2030."

The phrase "(the) many" is used again in Daniel 11:33, 39, and 12:3 (same word in Hebrew). In each case it refers to the Jews. Problem solved, IMHO.

Comet Borisov 'inseminated' Virgo on November 20, 2016

    November 20, 2016 (Insemination of Virgo) - April 7 , 2023 (Good Friday) = 2330

  22. Hey Beloved Family! Just posted this same Comment on Jeff's new article, but because it is connected with the upcoming UN Summit thought I should add it here also.

I recently listened (with my jaw dropped open 😲 ) to an interview mirrored by Bob Barber at Endtime Dreams & Visions. I know many here have their heart set on a New Wine/9th of Av Rapture (and it is, of course, still a possibility), but you WILL want to hear how specific the prophecies were that were given to this pastor in Ukraine in order to save many of the citizens (some of which have already come to pass) AND why November 11 could very possibly be when the Rapture will occur:

Is 11-11 the Date of the Rapture?

  23. Truly amazing how all this is lining up. Excellent work! The Summit of the Future in 2024 seems to be a finality to the meetings that started the 2030 agenda in 2015. Quote from UN page "An action-oriented Pact for the Future will be endorsed by Heads of State/Government at the Summit, showcasing global solidarity for current and future generations". ... 'Action oriented' and 'endorsed' sounds like they are signing some documents into being. One thing that really grabbed my attention is this meeting is on Sept 22 & 23 2024. This is exactly 7 years to the day from the Revelation 12 sign. If this is the start of the Tribulation then 7 good years and 7 bad years would apply here? Mavbe the 2 cows with 7's on their heads have some meaning after all.
