The First "Day of the LORD" (Part II)

Recap of Part I:

1 John 2:28 is a commonly misunderstood passage of Scripture. For starters, many misinterpret the masculine singular pronouns as referring to "Jesus" and not the Father. As a result of this misunderstanding, John's thematic connection to Genesis 3 gets lost in translation (i.e., the Father's first "appearing" and the first "Day of the LORD"). Worse yet, because of this fundamental misstep, we've got paraphrased English versions saying things like: "stay with Christ" (The Message) and "remain in fellowship with Christ" (NLT). Legalistic Christians love a text like this, especially when self-effort and man-power are bolstered by a mistranslation. And if the mistranslation alone doesn't get you, the legalist will still try to convince you that John's command to "abide in Him" is somehow attained/maintained by good Christian behavior such as constant prayer, going to church, regular tithing, not sinning as much (whatever that means), and so on and on and on...

And while the legalist goes on "priding in his abiding," the sincere believer cries out to the Lord for clarity. And rightly so. There is no way that John endorses salvation through self-effort in 1 Jn. 2:28. According to the apostle's theology, "abiding" is believing. And to "abide in Him" is to believe in the One sent by the Father (1 Jn. 4:13-16; cf. Rom. 8:9). Conversely, to "not abide" is to not believe (Jn. 5:38). It's that simple.

To start Part II, we'll revisit the Old Testament background of 1 Jn. 2:28. Curiously enough, the idea of the Father "appearing" and "coming" to His children in a Day of Judgment is obscured (albeit ever so slightly) by yet another mistranslation.

A Not-So-Cool Day...

Many words and phrases from the King James Version are woven into the fabric of Western culture. For example, familiar expressions such as "my brother's keeper" (Gen. 4:9), "out of the mouth of babes" (Ps. 8:2), and "the apple of his eye" (Zech. 2:8) can be found in classic literature, movies, television, and the everyday conversations of English speakers worldwide. These KJV-inspired expressions have become so entrenched and hard-wired into our minds that it can be difficult to accept an alternative translation of a well-known passage of Scripture.

However, in order to clear up confusion and cut through the fog of culture and tradition, sometimes a sacred cow has to be slaughtered (how else are we going to "eat the meat and spit out the bones"?).

Next up on the chopping block is the KJV-inspired phrase "in the cool of the day" from Gen. 3:8:

And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.

Of all the various sermons and life-applications derived from this text, one of the most creative (yet misguided) explanations I've heard is that God was on His way to meet Adam and Eve for their regularly scheduled afternoon stroll (naturally, God's walking buddies failed to call ahead and reschedule before going M.I.A.). Apparently, the phrase "cool of the day" has been commonly understood to be some sort of crisp, refreshing breeze that occurred at the end of a hot day in paradise. And not wanting to rock the boat, and also in fear of possibly upsetting the target audience and the bottom line, many contemporary English translations preserve and perpetuate the questionable translation of "the cool of the day" (e.g. NKJV, NASB, NIV, ESV, et al.). Some English versions go even further (in the wrong direction) by putting a fresh new spin on this old familiar phrase; for example, "when the evening breezes were blowing" (NLT), and "at the breezy time of the day" (NET).

And to reinforce just how deeply ingrained this understanding of "the cool of the day" is in contemporary thought, here is The Message's rendering of Gen. 3:8:

When they heard the sound of God strolling in the garden in the evening breeze, the Man and his Wife hid in the trees of the garden, hid from God.

So there you have it. According to the popular and prevailing consensus, the LORD God was ready for a routine sunset stroll through Eden with His children in the cool of the day. It sounds pleasant. But is the "late afternoon, leisurely stroll" idea really what the Holy Spirit intended to communicate in the original text?

Hardly. Especially when you take the Hebrew text of Gen. 3:8 at face value and compare its key terms with the rest of Scripture.

The LSV (Literal Standard Version) gets us closer to the original intent of the author (with one slight modification in bold):

And they hear the sound of YHWH God walking up and down in the garden at the wind of the day, and the man and his wife hide themselves from the face of YHWH God in the midst of the trees of the garden.

Note: based on a surface-level reading of the Hebrew text, the KJV's "cool of the day" is more literally rendered "the wind of the day." If you survey the KJV's various translations of the Hebrew term ruach (Strong's 7307, "breath, wind, spirit"), you will see that "cool" is found only one time out of 370+ occurrences in the Old Testament (for a quick reference, see Blue Letter Bible). In short, "cool" just doesn't cut it as a logically equivalent translation for the common Hebrew term that is more aptly translated as breath, spirit, or, in the context of Gen. 3:8, wind.

While "the wind of the day" may sound awkward and clunky to modern ears, I can assure you that it is still a better translation than the beloved but misleading "cool of the day" (to any KJV-only readers, please don't shoot the messenger; I'm pretty sure that I have not blasphemed, apostatized, or altered God's word while writing this plea for personal inquiry and investigation).

Contrary to popular conceptions of brisk afternoon walks in the park (i.e., "the cool of the day"), the more contextually appropriate "wind of the day" evokes powerful Day of the LORD-type imagery and connects to other like-minded texts such as the "theophanic" appearances of Exodus 19 (God thunderously appears to Moses and the Israelites at Sinai); 1 Kings 19 (God thunderously appears to Elijah...also at Sinai); and Job 38-42 (God thunderously appears to Job). Thus, based on the lexical and thematic connections to other passages in the Bible, one could say that Genesis 3:8 contains the essential terms and phrases which form the very first "Day of the LORD" template.

Three Hebrew terms from Gen. 3:8 in particular are embedded throughout other "Day of the LORD" passages in the Bible:

  1. Qol - "Voice," "Sound," or even "Thunder" (see Ex. 19:19; 20:18; the word is also connected to the shofar/trumpet blast)
  2. Ruach - "Breath," "Spirit," or "Wind" (see especially the relationship between the "east wind" and God's judgment in texts such as Gen. 41:6; Ex. 10:13; Jer. 18:17; Ps. 48:7; Hos. 13:15; Isa. 27:8)
  3. Yom - "Day" or possibly "Storm" (on the intriguing possibility of a storm connection, see Niehaus, "God at Sinai," pages 156-157)

Qol, Ruach, Yom. Thunder, Wind, Day (not exactly a walk in the park).

These three terms signal the DAY of the LORD's appearance or manifestation to mankind which is accompanied by strong WIND and loud THUNDER.

In the New Testament, these three terms show up again all in one verse just like Gen. 3:8 (the Greek terms are the precise equivalents of the Hebrew words: qol, ruach, and yom). The last book of the Bible contains the greatest detail in regard to the final Day of the LORD:

I was in the Spirit [pneuma] on the LORD’s Day [hemera], and I heard a great voice [phone] behind me, as of a trumpet...(Rev. 1:10, LSV).

As you can see, these three terms variously translated as "Spirit/Wind" + "Day" + "Voice/Sound/Thunder" are indicative of the sudden presence and manifestation of the LORD. Moreover, when the Father appears to Adam and Eve in Gen. 3:8, He's not whistling "Take Me Home, Country Roads" while taking a leisurely stroll through the garden. He's storming through the foliage like an F5 tornado to confront His wayward and disobedient children!

Turns out, it's not such a "cool" day after all. It's a windy, stormy Day. Hence, Adam and Eve's reaction in the second half of 3:8:

When God arrives in theophany in 3:8, Adam and Eve are immediately afraid. They know God is not coming on a pleasant afternoon stroll when the day has cooled down. They react with fear and seek to hide among the trees because God is after them! This is a judgment visit, a legal inquisition, and they react accordingly. The divine arrival and subsequent grilling by the Judge is theophanic, not a friendly meeting between Creator and creatures at a comfortable time of day. (Douglas K. Stuart, "The Cool of the Day," Bibliotheca Sacra 171, July-September 2014, 264-65).

So, if you really want to understand where the apostle John is coming from in 1 Jn. 2:28, then you need to appreciate what is really going on in the early chapters of Genesis. The first Day of the LORD is Genesis 3:8-24. At the time of the Fall, the Father first appears in judgment to the first man and woman, but in His mercy, He delays final judgment until the Seed of the Woman can come into the world to accomplish victory over the serpent for all who believe (Gen. 3:15; cf. 1 Jn. 3:5-6; 5:4-5).

Therefore, Jesus alone is the reason and basis for John's confidence at the time of the final Day of the LORD. For believers, it will not be the same story of Genesis 3:8-24 repeated. On the the contrary, the Church (the Body of Christ) will be spared from final judgment and hidden away safely in the Father's house (Isa. 26:20-21; Jn. 14:1-2; Rev. 3:10; 12:5). For unbelievers, it will be the same story of Genesis 3:8-24 repeated and magnified!

When the Father appears again and comes storming in to confront the world, fallen humanity will try to hide themselves once more:

And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich, and the chiefs of thousands, and the mighty, and every servant, and every freeman, hid themselves in the dens, and in the rocks of the mountains, and they say to the mountains and to the rocks, 'Fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him who is sitting on the throne, and from the anger of the Lamb, because the great day of His anger has come, and who is able to stand? (Rev. 6:15-17, LSV).

A Blameless Bride for the Last Adam

If you were scheduled to teach the Pre-Trib Rapture of the Church at your home Bible study, local church, or even the next prophecy conference, where is the first place you would go? If you were asked to trace the typology of Christ joining His Bride in perfect union prior to the Day of judgment, where does the biblical pattern begin?

When it comes to the first mention of the mystery of Christ and the Church in the Bible, you may want to confer with the apostle Paul before putting together those presentation notes:

So also husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. The one loving his wife loves himself. For no one at any time hated his flesh. But he nourishes and cherishes it just as Christ also does the church. For we are members of His body. 'Because of this, a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two will be into one flesh.' This mystery is great; but I speak as to Christ and as to the church. (Eph. 5:28-32, Berean Literal Bible).

Don't overlook the significance of the particular Old Testament passage that Paul uses to justify and support the spiritual union between Christ and the Church. The apostle finds the spiritual root of his teaching at the very beginning of Scripture. Before the exile from Eden, before the Fall of Adam and Eve, and before the first Day of the LORD when the Father appears in judgment, a Bride is created from Adam's side and presented to Him holy and blameless.

At the present time, the Church continues to be in an already-but-not-yet state of becoming one with Christ. However, we know that this spiritual union will soon be completed and consummated when the Bride is perfected and presented to Him, holy and blameless at the time of the Resurrection/Rapture (Eph. 1:4; 5:27; cf. 1 Thess. 4:16-17; Rev. 4:1; 12:5).

According to the Genesis template, the typology of the Resurrection & Glorification of the Bride begins in chapter 2 (last time I checked, this comes before chapter 3). God puts Adam to sleep, creates a blameless Bride, and then walks the Bride down the aisle and presents her to the man. One flesh. Perfect union. No shame, no guilt, no judgment (Gen. 2:21-25).

And check this out: Jesus (the last Adam; 1 Cor. 15:45) also went to "sleep" (i.e. His sacrificial death), and out of that sleep, God was able to make a new creation (Isa. 43:19; Eph. 2:15). And just as Eve was presented to Adam, set apart (holy) and without sin (blameless), so also the Bride of Christ (the Church) will be presented to Jesus spotless and without the stain of sin! And all of this Genesis 2 typology is fulfilled before the first Day of the LORD in chapter 3. It's the big day before the BIG DAY (you dig?). This Pre-Trib pattern goes from new creation all the way to bridal presentation—all accomplished BEFORE the DAY of God's judgment!

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the One having blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world for us to be holy and blameless before Him...Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water by the word, so that He might present to Himself the church in glory, not having spot or wrinkle or any of the such things, but that it would be holy and blameless. (Eph. 1:3-4; 5:25-27, Berean Literal Bible).

So, if you really want to bring the house down (up?), how about kicking off your next Pre-Trib presentation with Genesis 2!

**Your outline of the Genesis 2/3 Pre-Trib Rapture template can be something like this:

(1) The creation and presentation of the Bride - Gen. 2:21-25

(2) The Bride is presented perfect (holy and blameless) to Adam BEFORE the serpent's arrival and great deception - Gen. 3:1-7

(3) The Bride is presented perfect (holy and blameless) to Adam BEFORE the first Day of the LORD commences (remember: it's not such a "cool" day after all) - Gen. 3:8-24

Maranatha! The final Day of the LORD is approaching quickly. Keep loving and exhorting the Bride, cause I can almost hear those heavenly Church bells ringin'...

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. (Heb. 10:24-25, KJV).

  5. Excellent studies Greg! I am so thankful that I began in original languages and still study Greek and Hebrew today. What a difference they make!

You asked a good question for witnessing/teaching. Where does one begin when teaching the pre-tribulation rapture?

I had the privilege to share that with a new believer the other night in answering their questions on the evidence of a pre-tribulation rapture. I begin with the Great Sign of (Revelation 12). This provides both a visual and Scriptural starting point that anchors the Word to the times we live in. In ALL CASES, may the Holy Spirit lead!

We would all do well to crack open concordance and start learning at least some basics of the original languages. Duolingo has been helpful to me with Hebrew vowels. It has been very helpful with Greek as well. Here are some links to an online source for Scripture in original languages,

    Old Testament Hebrew Text
    New Testament Greek Text

This is only one source as there are many more. I like it for their numeric connections to words and gematria. After all, letters and words in Greek and Hebrew are numbers too and have numeric value!

    Blessings

  6. As a literal child in the Hebraic Christian movement, I pray daily that as we are raptured and taken to the place that Jesus has prepared for us, Creator GOD flicks the Babel switch and as an act of GOD, The Bride of Jesus Christ can all communicate with each other in the Language of GOD. Selah. That's my prayer request, and I'm hanging on to it !

    1. This is something I've thought about. While language division was a curse originally (and, like all the other curses, one which will probably be reversed in eternity), I've wondered if that means we'll all instantly learn a universal language as soon as we die (I think we will). Will that universal language be Hebrew? That I'm less confident on. While the evidence seems to point to that being the first language, the original one, God didn't choose to use that language to make the New Testament. So, does that mean we might also instantly recieve Greek? What about Aramaic? In that case, why not all languages?

I end up thinking that we'll all recieve a completely new univeral language, and can choose the pleasure of actively learning all others (even made up ones like Klingon) later, if we want. But we won't know for sure how this'll play out until we get there. So it's just my guess as to what might happen.

    2. It's interesting to see that almost all the way back to Adam there were writings handed down with Noah being their conservator through the flood. Common language was/is God's plan and we will all speak His language in the Day to come. As we will be naturally sinless, we will speak our native tongue. Remade in the capable hands of the Potter.

It's an interesting thought that we would know all languages. That makes sense as we would be stewards of humanity in the MK. God will empower us as He sees fit and it will be done with perfection.

  7. THE COMING DAY OF THE LORD

I have some new celestial observations to share. Screenshots can be made for anyone interested. (Just ask in the comments and I'll upload them).

You may have noticed that VERY BRIGHT STAR in the western sky after sunset. That is the planet Venus. Venus is in a VERY interesting place in the heavens. If you get out your astronomical app or software of choice you will find that Venus and Mars are tracking together toward Regulus (the king star) in the constellation Leo. Mars will appear to turn *above* and *over* the king star (exalt itself) while Venus will *bow down* and transit *below* Regulus. Venus will appear to humble itself.

Mars (named for the Roman god of war) is very much the image of the dragon. Red in color, a dead and lifeless place that leaks its thin atmosphere into space. Mars is fourth from the Sun. Venus is an Earth sized planet second from the Sun. It's thick dense atmosphere is almost 100 times heavier than here on Earth. The Venusian day is shorter than its year thus the Sun facing side gets broiled. Venus is literally hellish. Almost as though Venus took on death while Earth was given life.

    Hmmm...

Venus is generally known as the bright morning star as it is prominent in the eastern sky before sunrise. Venus is starting to "return" to the Sun as it approaches Regulus in the constellation Leo. (Leo, think animal symbol of the tribe of Judah!) As Venus bows before the king star and returns to the Sun it will emerge in a very interesting place. As the Sun moves into Leo and Mars continues on to (the woman) Virgo; Venus will sweep around this side of the Sun to appear to "stand" on the head of the seven headed serpent, the constellation Hydra!

15 "I will put enmity between
you and the woman, and between
    your offspring and her offspring;
he shall bruise your head, and
    you shall bruise his heel."

    (Genesis 3:15 ESV)

    1. THE COMING DAY OF THE LORD (Continued)

Venus just reached peak brightness on 7/7. An interesting date as 7/7 added to the sum of the numbers of this year (2023) renders 7/7/7. (Forgive me for geeking out with numbers for a moment!) Venus will reach peak brightness again later this year as bright morning star on or about September 19-20. Where will Venus be when it reaches peak brightness?

Venus will be standing on the head of the serpent, Hydra!

The next question is, "Is 9/19-9/20 a significant date on the calendar?"

Tuesday, September 19, 2023 is scheduled as the second day of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Conference (UN SDG) on the heels of the opening of the 77th General Assembly. It is also the Fall Tekufah according to the Essene/Zadok calendar; the calendar of the ancient Order of Melchizedek.

[ Ringing any bells here?!! ]

According to the Essenes this September 19th is Yom Teruah (Feast of Trumpets) which begins at sunset and continues on September 20, 2023 as what they call the Fall Day of Remembrance (Yom Teruah); which will feature the bright morning star at its brightest for the remainder of this year!

Hmmm, the Bright Morning Star will shine BRIGHTEST on the advent of the FEAST OF TRUMPETS per the calendar of the ORDER OF MELCHIZEDEK?!!

Do we know anyone who is both the Bright Morning Star AND forever King/Priest/Prophet in the Order of Melchizedek? Yes we do! His Name is Jesus bar Joseph of Nazareth!!

And while all of this is going on...where is Mars? Mars may be found "standing" before the woman (Virgo).

Hmmm, so if the warring red (dragon) planet Mars is *standing* before the woman (Virgo) then where is the moon? The crescent moon is at the feet of the woman!

Okay, if the red (dragon) planet Mars is *standing* before the woman (Virgo) and the crescent moon is at the feet of the woman then where is the Sun? The Sun is clothing Virgo; crowning her in light!

A perfect picture of the Feast of Trumpets.

Nine days later will be the full moon. What day is that you ask? It is Yom Kippur per the Essenes. (12:57 PM in Jerusalem) Okay, but what about the Pharisee calendar? What about the calendar we know today for Israel? Friday, September 29, 2023 is Erev Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles Eve) and Sukkot come sunset.

      Delete
    2. THE COMING DAY OF THE LORD (Continued)

Why be interested in the full moon?

Go to the Day in Revelation Six,

12 When he opened the sixth
      seal, I looked and behold,
      there was a great earthquake,
and the sun became black as
      sackcloth, the full moon became
      like blood

      (Revelation 6:12 ESV)

This translation looses a lot in light of what the INT (Greek) offers in contrast,

6.12 AND I SAW WHEN HE OPENED THE SEAL SIXTH AND A GREAT EARTHQUAKE OCCURRED AND THE SUN BECAME BLACK AS SACKCLOTH MADE OF HAIR AND THE WHOLE MOON BECAME LIKE BLOOD

[ The Greek is usually rendered in ALL CAPS - not shouting here ]

This verse kicks off the Day of the Lord and is a topic in its own right! For now let's focus on the moon. At what phase of the moon does it occasionally appear as blood? A full moon. Does there *have* to be a total lunar eclipse for the moon to appear as "blood" to us here on Earth?

      Nope!

Recent massive wildfires have rendered the moon as blood on many a night over the past several years. An eclipse is NOT required to make the moon appear as blood. But a full moon is required - thus perhaps we should be looking at full moons a little closer.

The full moon of August 1, 2023 will be a Super Moon. That's when the moon is closest to the Earth and appears larger as it's closer to us. The full moon of August 31, 2023 will be a Super Blue Moon or the second full moon in a calendar month. (These are rare let alone a Super Blue Moon!) The next full moon will then be that of Erev Sukkot and Sukkot I on the Hebrew Civil calendar or Yom Teruah on the Essene calendar.

What an awesome time for the Groom to come for His bride!

So where is Venus in all of this? Venus is STILL standing on the head of the serpent (Hydra) as it approaches Regulus in Leo. Mars is STILL standing before the woman (Virgo) as she is clothed in the Sun.

      Remember the promise of Jesus,

25 "Only hold fast what you
      have until I come.

26 The one who conquers and
who keep my works until the end,
to him I will give authority over
      the nations,

27 and he will rule them with a
rod of iron, as when earthen pots
are broken in pieces, even as I
      myself have received authority
      from my Father.

28 And I will give him the
      morning star."

      RED LETTERS (Revelation 2:25-28 ESV)

Finally, how does all of this fit within the (Psalm 90) model? The model suggests the arrival of the two witnesses on October 11-12, 2023 when they would begin their 1,260 day ministry. The sixth anniversary of the Great Sign is Saturday, September 23, 2023. Observant Jews know this as Shabbat Shuba or the "Sabbath of Her Return". The same day the Great Sign occurred back in 2017.

Fast-forward the calendar seven years and what do we find?

Shabbat Shuba, 2030 is the 2,550th day since the arrival of the two witnesses (beginning of Daniel's 70th Week) and the day before the eve of the Day of Atonement. Friday, October 4-5, 2030 is Shabbat Shuba and the Day the (Psalm 90) model suggests as the Glorious Second Coming of Christ.

Study well and Keep the Faith!

    3. THE COMING DAY OF THE LORD (Footnote)

The fact that September 23, 2023 is *six years* post Great Sign of (Revelation 12) gave me pause to think...

On what day was man created? Man was created on the sixth day. (Genesis 1:26-27)

If a year were a day then it's been six days since the Great Sign (six years) and perhaps a PERFECT DAY for the birth of the man-child, the Creation of a nation. One man in Christ.

      Eternal. Glorified and mystical forevermore.

      Come, Lord Jesus. Come!

This could well be the Covenant with the many (Daniel 9:27) which the antichrist will confirm, ushering in the Tribulation Period. In the same year 2024 there will be the elections for the European Parliament, during which the antichrist can emerge. It could be that just before these elections the Revived Roman Empire, consisting of 10 European nations, will be formed and that this empire and the antichrist from that empire will be backed by the UN. And even that the Revived Roman Empire and antichrist use the UN as a vehicle to gain world dominance.

If that's all true, it means that the Rapture is really at our doorstep.

Elon Musk announces a new AI company

      Quoting, CNN,

"Elon Musk on Wednesday announced the formation of a new company focused on artificial intelligence, after months of teasing plans to build a rival to ChatGPT.

The company, called xAI, unveiled a website and a team of a dozen staffers. The new company will be led by Musk, according to the website, and 'will work closely with X (Twitter), Tesla, and other companies to make progress towards our mission.'

'The goal of xAI is to understand the true nature of the universe,' the website states, echoing language Musk has used before to describe his AI ambitions."

      Hmmm...

      Elon,

If you want to know the "true nature of the universe" all you have to do is pick up a Bible and read. There are plenty available online for FREE. You don't have to create a new start-up, buy a publishing house or even a print shop. There you will find the nature of the universe up front in plain language,

      א בְּרֵאשִׁ֖ית בָּרָ֣א אֱלֹהִ֑ים אֵ֥ת הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם וְאֵ֥ת הָאָֽרֶץ׃

      Translated, meaning,

1 In the beginning created God the heavens and the earth

      (Genesis 1:1)

      It's that simple!

What's required of us to learn this deep mystery? A humble and contrite heart and an insatiable hunger for truth. We are all made in the image of God. Yes, even you and are loved by God more than you can imagine. So much so that He sent His only begotten Son to die for you. Even your riches cannot afford the PRICE OF SIN!!!

You see, as it turns out you are not the richest of all. The riches of Christ paid the price of sin in FULL with every last drop of His precious blood.

Sealed with a prayer for you. Imagine a world where the richest among us saw themselves as paupers in light of Christ.

      Keep the Faith,

      Pastor Rich

    3. The situation with the UN is very interesting. Both this year and next seem like they are gearing up for attempts at forming the Beast Kingdom. I'm keeping my eye out for anything involving 10 "kings". Its not quite yet, but we are soooo clearly closing in on the Rapture! Any time now, the Bridegroom will call us home.

Personally, while I really want it to be this year, I keep thinking next year, with all the globalist movements might be more likely. I'm biting my nails in anticipation of that trumpet call home!

    4. GEEKING OUT A LITTLE MORE...

Looking at full-moons as potential days of our Blessed Hope (Revelation 6:12 ESV) there is one coming up inside of my (Psalm 90) model that has an interesting potential for a watermark.

Friday, September 29, 2023 is the full moon (12:57 pm, Jerusalem) that coincides with both the Essene Fall Day of Remembrance (Feast of Trumpets) and Erev Sukkot (Eve of Tabernacles) per the Civil calendar. That full moon will follow the Super Moon of (8/1/23) and the Super Blue Moon of (8/31/23). The full moon of (9/29/23) will be 2,197 days since the Great Sign. That's equivalent to six years, six days or 72 months and six days. It's also equivalent to 313 weeks and six days.

Thinking about watermarks I also look at prime factorization of numbers. 2,197 has a prime factorization of one number cubed being,

      13 x 13 x 13

...with 13 being the sixth prime number.

Now, look all of this over and check it out for yourself but is it me or are we seeing A LOT of sixes and 13's in this day count? Not to mention the sixth prime cubed or,

      6-6-6.

      Hmmm....

If you're wondering if it's really the Feast of Trumpets by the Essene calendar; where are the Sun and moon?

The Sun is crowning Virgo and Moon is at her feet. (Revelation 12:1) Add to that Mars (the warring dragon) is standing before the womb of the woman! (Revelation 12:4) Check it out in Sky Guide, Stellarium or whatever software you want to see it in. Notice too that Venus is "standing" on the head of the seven headed serpent (constellation Hydra!)

ARE WE THERE YET? ARE WE THERE YET?!!

    5. Trumpets, Moon & Mars

On September 16, 2023, what is happening to the Moon and Mars? There is a conjunction between the Moon and Mars but it seems that there is an occultation as the Moon covers Mars. It looks that way on Stellarium but I can’t find an astronomy web site that will confirms the event. It would be difficult to see Mars near sunset in the Bahamas. Just a coincidence that it occurs at 11:20 PM IDT near the midnight hour. Trumpets is called the hidden day and the moon hides Mars but the event is hidden from view. Those in Christ will be hidden seven years (Isaiah 26:19-21).

At the resurrection, no one saw Jesus Christ rise from the dead like the Rapture.
At the ascension of Jesus Christ, many people saw Jesus Christ rise like the Second Coming.

  10. Great article Greg...

    Your comment

...the "theophanic" appearances of Exodus 19 (God thunderously appears to Moses and the Israelites at Sinai); 1 Kings 19 (God thunderously appears to Elijah...also at Sinai).

Always brings me to the Transfiguration event in the New Testament, seeing as how both men (400 years apart) are seemingly brought forward in time for a bit to chat with Jesus, who is the subject of their work.

In both instances the men (Moses and Elijah, 400 years apart in their respective time periods) step out of the same cave on Mt Horeb (Sinai) into the glory cloud (Exodus 33:18-21 and 1 Kings 19:11) where Jesus speaks to them in person from the future at the Transfiguration, from the apostles perspective in the New Testament. In all 3 instances we hear the Father speak no less, and it is the Father who is controlling it, since in the future time Jesus has put aside His glory and power to be the humble servant and perfect man, though He is still God in the flesh. He does only that which the father gives him to do or say.

Betcha you guys never expected "time travel" of sorts in the Bible! ;)

This solves the issues often mentioned about bringing Moses back from the dead, and bringing Elijah back down to earth for the Transfiguration.

Not my original idea, but it tracks well with the details in scripture.

  12. Jeff, I must apologize and confess I just now read the article--have had a lot going on and barely keep up with comments. But I have to say this is truly AMAZING. As Lu Vega and Corey, ETDD, frequently remind us prophecy is pattern, and nowhere is it more evident than here BEFORE the Fall. I had never seen or thought of these things, and it simple bookends Scripture in a way that is truly enlightening. Thank you so much for sharing your insights and research with us--along with so many others who are "discovering" truths heretofore obscured. Indeed, knowledge increases in these last days. And it all serves to encourage the weary saints as we see the day approaching. I love Pastor Rich's comment: Are we there yet! Are we there yet already!

  14. Beloved Family!

I recently listened (with my jaw dropped open 😲 ) to an interview mirrored by Bob Barber at Endtime Dreams & Visions. I know many here have their heart set on a New Wine/9th of Av Rapture (and it is, of course, still a possibility), but you WILL want to hear how specific the prophecies were that were given to this pastor in Ukraine in order to save many of the citizens (some of which have already come to pass) AND why November 11 could very possibly be when the Rapture will occur:

Is 11-11 the Date of the Rapture?

    1. GARY AND JEFF~
While searching the net for more info on this, I found that one of your readers tried to let us know about Phillip Barnett's visions (also referred to as The Azovmena Prophecies). Under Gary's February 23, 2022, article "Russia Launches Full-Scale Invasion Of Ukraine" this Comment was posted:

Here is interesting Azovmena prophecy that was given to Phillip Barnett in 2007 about coming Russian invasion of Ukraine. He was a pastor in Kiev for 26 years.

  15. A DATE OF INTEREST

A date of interest that stands out when looking at the model is September 29, 2023. Why?

Venus, the bright morning star, (Revelation 2:25-28) will be at peak brightness on 9/20. September 20, 2023 is the Fall Day of Remembrance (Feast of Trumpets) per the calendar of the Essenes and Zadok Priests. (Think Order of Melchizedek!) This kicks off the nine days of awe (Yomim Noraim) that lead up to Yom Kippur on the tenth day.

Those nine days are interesting as they remind of the ninth hour at which Christ died on the cross. (Matthew 27:46-50) Those nine days also remind of the nine fruits of the Spirit give us through Paul in (Galatians 5:22-23),

    1. Love
    2. Joy
    3. Peace
    4. Patience
    5. Kindness
    6. Goodness
    7. Faithfulness
    8. Gentleness
    9. Self-control

...those days fit like puzzle pieces in the dates from Yom Teruah to Yom Kippur where the greatest of these, Love, is first and would fall on the birthday of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ! Yom Teruah!!

That's interesting you say, but what about the 29th?

Friday, September 29, 2023 is the tenth day of the month of Tishri per the Essene calendar. Yom Kippur. THE DAY THE HIGH PRIEST ENTERS THE HOLY OF HOLIES TO ATONE FOR THE PEOPLE. When we are gathered to Christ, the Head of the Church are we, the Church, not joined to the Head? We become as One in Him who redeemed us. May it not also be that we enter the holy of holiest in heaven on that day? When the doorway of heaven is opened wide?

    Hmmm...

    Is there more?

    Yes.

September 29, 2023 is also Erev Sukkot per the Hebrew Civil calendar. Wedding feast anyone?! September 29, 2023 is also a full moon.

    What of it?

Check out (Revelation 6:12 ESV) to see that the whole (full) moon will become "like blood" on the Day of the Lord. A full moon? The Rapture will happen on a full-moon? It sure sounds like it doesn't it? So a full-moon on Essene Yom Kippur and Civil Erev Sukkot makes for an interesting set of signs nine days after the bright morning star is brightest for season during which it rules the morning skies in the east.

Finally, 9/29/23 is 2,197 days since the Great Sign of (Revelation 12) on 9/23/17. That day count has some interesting potential for watermarks,

    1. The prime factorization of 2,197 is 13 cubed or 13 x 13 x 13
    2. Thirteen is the sixth prime number or 6th prime x 6th prime x 6th prime (6-6-6)
    3. 2,197 days is equal to six years, six days
    4. 2,197 days is equal to 72 months, six days (reminds of the 72 sent out by Jesus)
    5. 2,197 days is equal to 313 weeks, six days (reminds of 13^3)
    6. Thirteen is half of 26 which is the number of the Name "יהוה"

Still finding things about this day which makes for an interesting study. Shared for anyone interested.

    Blessings,

    PR

...so, yes, some interesting potentials for watermarks in the day count.

    1. Oh! Lest I forget...

Nine is a number of finality. Completion and judgment. After nine days from the brightest advent of the bright morning star (Venus) where do we find ourselves? A day of judgment? Completion? Finality?

Yom Kippur and the potential for day filled with the wrath of the Lamb.

      Hmmm...

    2. Add this to what I have already shared on the locations of the planets in the constellations. The heavens declare His glory! (Psalm 19)

    3. One more piece of this that just dropped this morning. The time span of 2,197 days is equal to 72 months, six days. Note the individual numerals, "7-2-6". Very reminiscent of 726 and Strong's (G726) being, "harpazo".

      Hmmm...

      Delete
    4. ...and curiosity drove me back to the sun data for September 29, 2023, the 2,197th day, or 72 months six-days, from the Great Sign and what do we find?

Sunset, described by the ancient Hebrews as "the twinkling of an eye" occurs at 6:27 pm Jerusalem time! There's the numbers again but in reverse order this time. Seven, two, six.

      Quoting, Torahcalendar.com,

"In Hebraic thought, evening twilight is understood as a transitional period between day and night. It is currently understood that it is evening twilight as long as two stars of medium magnitude are visible, but it is night upon the appearance of a third star of medium magnitude. In ancient times, some understood that night begins in a moment in time which is impossible to determine called the twinkling of an eye. This is interesting, as Paul prophesied that the righteous would be resurrected in the twinkling of an eye." (1 Corinthians 15:51-52 ESV)

Now we have potential pointers to the "twinkling of an eye" given through Paul in his letter to the Corinthians and the "full moon" Day of the Lord/Wrath of the Lamb given through John in the Revelation of Jesus Christ connected by a day.

Not date setting but asking questions, following clues and exploring the possibilities. One thing we know for sure...

      JESUS IS COMING BACK!!!!

  16. Jeff~it is Jeff, right, who wrote this article?

The WIND OF THE DAY was a breath of fresh air in our Scriptural sails ⛵️ THANK YOU!

And it truly gives us the correct understanding when picturing the end times Day of the Lord when God's wrath and fury manifest in fiery judgment--

Nah 1:2 - God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.

Nah 1:3 - The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet

Nah 1:5 - The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.

Nah 1:6 - Who can stand before his indignation

THANK YOU JESUS that we are spared from the wrath and indignation of the Almighty!

Rom 5:9 - Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Isa 26:20 - Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast
