He chose to not leave the garden as a free man.  He chose.  He chose you and me.

In the garden, God comforted the Son and sent an angel to minister to Him.  God encouraged the Son to step off in Faith.

On the cross, when all the fury of the wrath and judgement of GOD ALMIGHTY, fell full square on the back of the Son.  Messiah told His Father, THE HOLY ONE - FATHER, FORGIVE THEM FOR THEY DON"T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING.  Had Jesus Christ not encouraged His father to forgive, might He in His own anguish anger and wrath unleashed the armies of heaven upon us.

Praise God almighty that He was pierced for our iniquities and crushed for sin.

I don't jive with all of these things.  Some are post trib and some are pre trib, kind of strung together, but the first part of the Isaiah 9:10 parts in the beginning is intriguing to me.

In 2012, Hurricane Isaac struck New Orleans, 7 YEARS TO THE DAY SINCE HURRICANE KATRINA MADE LANDFALL, and ONE DAY BEFORE the 2012 Southern Decadence was set to begin.

...Yet the obvious message was not received and Southern Decadence is now well underway, despite the forced evacuation of 60,000 people, widespread flooding, and literally several FEET of rain.

Truth Comes Out: Romney Supports Child Murder in Cases of Convenience

It was already well known that Mitt Romney supported the killing of unborn children in cases of rape, incest, or the life of the mother.  While theologians have argued extensively about the permissability of the "life of the mother" exception, there is utter moral deplorability in rape and incest exceptions, because the argument, "evil was done to me, therefore I will murder you to ease my pain" simply doesn't hold up.

However, it now comes out that Mitt Romney would also permit abortions in the case of the "health" of the mother.  This is codespeak for "convenience".  Courts have long held that the "health" of the mother equates to mental distress, and so "health" is generally applied to a plurality, if not a majority of abortion cases.  93% + of the time an unborn child is murdered, it is done out of convenience.

With this now in mind, I see little to no substantive difference between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama and so I will have to withhold my vote from either.  I cannot, in good conscience, vote for a man who believes that murdering unborn children (the absolute poorest and "least of these" among us) is morally permissable in such broad cases.  This used to be an issue of choosing the lesser of so many evils, but that line is so blurred as to become almost unrecognizable.

Sorry America, but you've chosen your fate.

The Democratic National Committee has rejected a Catholic Cardinal's request to say a prayer during their convention... however, the DNC will be hosting a 2-HOUR ISLAMIC PRAYER BEFORE THE CONVENTION ATTENDED BY 20,000 MUSLIMS.  And it will be hosted by two Islamic leaders known for their radical beliefs and connection, including a connection to an Islamic organization, which was considered a terrorist co-conspirator by our own government.

Republican National Convention

In John 21 Jesus performs a miracle with a great harvest of fish. He was reminding His disciples of their original calling. To go be fishers of men.

The harvest brought in 153 fish. There has been much speculation regarding the meaning of 153.

I don't have a speculation except 153 showed as the number killed in the 2008 hurricane Gustav. This hurricane delayed the John McCain - Sarah Palin run for the white house.

Now in 2012 the RNC has been delayed by another hurricane - Isaac. The promised one, the anointed one, the son of the covenant and the son of the sacrifice.

Well this little lamb sacrifice is coming not as a meek lamb, but as a roaring lion.

Why two conventions interrupted back to back? What are the odds?

Perhaps the time of the gentile harvest is concluded?

Perhaps the delusion of our self driven, tower of babel thinking, that we alone can resolve our trouble.

Perhaps that we haven't done more to advocate His agenda?

Perhaps God has had it with those whose heart is for truth and the unborn, infant, but who hate others and would never be in a homeless shelter or an orphanage.

Many of my die hard Republican friends rant about the left, but not about their agony in prayer and ministry for the lost, broken, disenfranchised, hungry, orphaned, widowed, sick or imprisoned.

Perhaps He hates the right or hates the left and is holding the right back to allow the left to have their way.

How the Middle East Has Changed... And Why This Gives Chills to Bible Prophecy Studiers

For decades, the only Islamist-ruled country in the Middle East was Iran, which became Islamist in 1979.  The other key players in the region were either secular (Turkey, Egypt, Libya, Iraq) or semi-secular with no external-Jihadi intentions (Saudi Arabia).

In just the last 3 years this has entirely changed:

1.) The Islamist Prime Minister of Turkey, Tayyip Erdogan, managed to finally rest control from the secular Kemalist establishment.  His Islamist party is now firmly in control of the military and governing institutions.

2.) Contemporaneous with the U.S. withdraw of troops from Iraq, the already Shia-dominated, Iran-tilted government of Iraq is now firmly in the hands of Islamists.  It was U.S. forces that in 2003 removed the secular Ba'ath party from power.  Many, perhaps even a majority, of Christians have now fled Iraq because of persecution from Islamists.

3.) Tunisia, once the most pro-western Islamic country (apart from Turkey), is now firmly controlled by the previously banned Islamist party Ennahda.  Tunisia is where the Arab revolution began, with the deposition of the secular dictator Ben Ali.  Once safe for Christians, a Christian convert from Islam was just beheaded several days ago for refusing to recant his faith.  Christians and tourists are now routinely attacked by Islamists... again, Islamist activity was previously banned in Tunisia.

4.) Egypt, at the heart of the Arab revolution, just in the last two weeks has fallen into absolute Muslim Brotherhood dominance.  The secular military leaders have all been deposed and replaced with Islamists.  The former dictator, Hosni Mubarak, had banned the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood, but now he is long gone and his arch enemies are in total control.  According to numerous Arab TV and newspaper reports, Christians and secularists are being crucified on trees in Cairo, and probably elsewhere in the country.  An Islamic leader who had been sent into exile under Mubarak, triumphantly returned, and having gathered hundreds of thousands into Cairo's Tahrir Square, he called for millions to march on Jerusalem and kill every Jew.

5.) The eccentric and secular Moammar Gaddafi was pushed from power and eventually killed by the rebels in Libya.  The Muslim Brotherhood is now very active, but we've yet to see how the pieces will finally fall... although we know they will fall very soon as the interim government will soon be transitioning out of power.

...There are too many reasons to count as to why we think this is falling into line with the prophecies of Daniel, Isaiah, Zechariah, John and others, but here are the chief three:

1.) The Bible prophesies numerous times the regathering of God's people to the land of Israel before the return of the LORD.  And at the end of the age, Israel's neighbors and many, eventually all, of the nations of the world are gathered together against her--especially her neighbors.

2.) The Bible specifically prophesies an occurrence of a rebellion, through which the antichrist is ultimately revealed (2 Thessalonians 2:3; Daniel 8:23).

3.) Israel is now facing a literally existential threat to its very existence in the form of Iran's nuclear program, which is now only weeks away from becoming immune to an Israeli strike.  We know that this will not happen and God will intervene before it does.

GOP Convention: August 27th-30th... Hurricane Isaac Over Florida: August 27th-29th

The Republican National Convention is this upcoming Monday through Thursday.  Amazingly, tropical storm Isaac, predicted to become a hurricane, will be hitting Florida Monday through Wednesday.

Makes sense, too.  Why would God hit the Democratic National Convention?  They've already taken sides, but many in the GOP are on the fence yet quickly turning against Truth.  Let this be a last-minute wake up call.

Also, consider what happens if the Republican National Convention is severely impacted or even cancelled.  What if the ultimate effect is Obama back in the White House, which only speeds up the events in the Middle East, rise of the antichrist, and the return of Our Lord.

Seeing the signs

A question was posted by one of our friends and faithful readers.

The question essentially was this: Why do not more Christians see the signs of His coming and what if we're wrong about these?

Good questions.

Amazing to me how many Christians refuse to read their Bible, they would never study and absolutely never hunger and thirst for righteousness (Matthew 5:6).

It has been said by some scholars that one third of the Bible is prophetic.

We know that there are 300 scriptures that pointed to Christ's first appearing.  The scholars of that day certainly missed it, but they weren't looking.

I have read many who tell us that there are something like 2,500 scriptures pointing to His second coming.

Not a surprising number given the number of books, Revelation, Jude, Ezekiel, Daniel, Isaiah, Jeremiah and all of the minor prophets and other selected passages (Matthew 24, 1 Corinthians 15, 1 Thessalonians 4, etc...).

If you ask someone to read these, they often bristle at the thought.  Well then just take the scissors and cut these out and throw them away.  Seriously.  If you won't read it and you won't talk about it and you won't listen to someone else, then just be done with it.

Problem - this is God's Holy Inspired Word.  He gave it for a purpose and He expects for us to read, study and share.

Unbelief and Its Consequences

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. 21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22  Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.

Everyone I know who has studied these scriptures with any real diligence will tell you that He is coming soon.  No one in this camp (that I've found) believes it's possible that His appearing is more than 50 years away.

Everyone I have read or listen to that is looking at current events in light of scripture believes we are much much closer than that.

Some verses to consider, for those who say "but, no one knows the day or the hour", "you can't possibly know".

We were meant to see the signs and respond accordingly.  Not knowing the exact day or hour is not the same as not knowing the season.

We have previously shared the Jewish holy day theory regarding Rosh Hoshannah / The Feast of Trumpets as the day of the Rapture.  While I am a strong subscriber, my dedication to this theory, certainly doesn't approach the level of confidence I have in the clear teaching of scripture, such as John 3:16, Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 2:38 or Ephesians 2:1-10.

However I believe with great confidence that we are in the season and that the catching away will occur at the fall festival of the Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hoshannah).

With all that said, the One God is indeed exceedingly patient:

I believe with great confidence that the events of the last few years all scream warning at His return.  The current events in Israel, Iran, Russia, China, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Iraq, Greece, Ireland, the U.S. and others all point to the fulfillment of many scriptures and the launch of World War III.  (Jeremiah 49, Obadiah, Psalms 83, Isaiah 17, Ezekiel 29-39 and others).

Could God slow this down for a couple of years? Certainly.  He has for the last year.  Go back and look at the August-September 2011 posts and see the crescendo that was mounting.

Could the date be September 16th, 2012?  Yes.

Could it be 2013 or later?  Yes.

Does it appear to be later?  No.

Are we to keep having joy and peace, while sharing the gospel until He comes - Yes.

Keep at your work.  Look up your redemption draws near.

1. The Rapture is at Rosh Hoshanna (year unknown).
2. War is about to break out in the Middle East.

And thou, son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal:
and I will turn thee about, and will lead thee on, and will cause thee to come up from the uttermost parts of the north; and I will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel;

There is some thought that all of these verses may be fulfilled at about the same time, although some seem to think that the Ezekiel 38-39 battle of Gog and Magog comes later.

Also Ezekiel 39:6 "isles" is often translated "coastlands".  Regardless the Canary Islands Volcano could cause a massive tsunami / tidal wave that would impact coastlines throughout the Atlantic.

Interesting that people are fleeing the Canary Islands in large numbers.  Our compassionate God would want to clear the island before unleashing / allowing the Island to explode.

No one really knows where Jonah was heading when he took off for Tarshish, however one popular thought was Spain.

The warnings do seem to be from Nineveh (Iraq) to Tarshish (Spain) and everywhere in between and beyond.

Who knows, it is certainly a big stretch, but we know that there is purpose in many things that occur.

Egypt is the Next Iran

In a stunning move, the new Muslim Brotherhood president of Egypt has sacked the leaders of the leading, secular military council and replaced them with his own picks.  He has also nullified the constitutional amendments that the military created to restrain the Brotherhood's power.

Watching expectantly to see how the Egyptian military reacts.  If these changes go through, which they appear to have done, expect the peace treaty with Israel to be revoked within months and a permanent deployment of Egyptian troops to the Sinai Peninsula.
